Second day old chicken, would not feed to my dog.

I used to love coming here... but since new staff and un constantly of food quality... I havent been back in a year. Was so good when the owener was there. The new staff was not helpful and food teasted different... wish it was good again

Never had a bad meal from this place. Some of the best fish and chips Ive ever had and their special platter is always a go-to when ordering. Have, and will, be ordering from here again.

We love the mr.khan specials and they gyro wraps we come once a week, keep up the amazing work!

Went here with friends that had been previously and were happy with their experience. Had the 2 piece cod and chips. Place was absolutely filthy, not a single clean table and not a customer other than the 3 of us, so they definitely werent too busy. Got our order and ate in, had to wait while they cleaned the table. Then had to keep waiting at the counter for them to come out of the back room to serve us.. we needed some condiments, then salt and napkins. Staff didnt seem too interested in being there! Cod was VERY overcooked, tasteless and dry, at least the french fries were delicious! Would NOT recommend, nor would I return.

Decent spot for a pit stop! Great prices but do not expect steller table service. Beef gyro wrap was quite good, but the pitas used are too small for the size of the wrap. The Halibut was average but nothing to write home about, but their fries were fantastic.

Great shawarma to go

Food was exceptional, the only thing is that the seating area for customers needs emergency attention. Parking: Good location, but with some cosmetic renovation will help with customer experience.

The best halal food you find in that area. The owner is very nice and always serve fresh food.

Excellent Gyro, if you have not tried it yet youre missing out!

This is what Gyro should taste like. I am a huge Gyro connoisseur and this hit all the spots. Tender, moist and flavourful. HINT: if you like it spicy make sure you ask for some of their homemade hot sauce!

The first time I had their fish & chips, it was excellent. Well today we got the same order as last time but the fish was greasy and the chips werent even cooked. Not a happy camper.

Just finished the 2 halibut & fries.. Oh My Gawd! It is good!

I absolutely love Mr Khans, and have never had a bad experience here until my last two visits. I don t know if someone new has taken over, or just new employees, but the fries were undercooked the last 2 times I visited and they must not have had the fryer temp as high either because it was like biting into a soggy oil saturated potato. Disgusting. So sad because they normally have the best fries.

Very friendly staff, got the chicken gyro and the samosa, tasted alright but was a bit messy with little sauce before getting the gyro out of the wrap. The samosas were pretty good! Vegetarian options: The samosas and the spring rolls were both vegetarian

Not a bad experience but the Haddok was not my favorite.

Ordered chicken on rice, cod w/chips, halibut w/chips and shrimp with tzatziki sauce. Apart from the chicken on rice, the food was not good. The fish was mushy and bland. The shrimp were tough and bland. Not a great experience.

We have had excellent fish and chips at a very reasonable price, but today it was AWFUL. The better had hard black ends and was soggy and the middle and it was cold when we got it. IN THE GARBAGE. We ended up making a sandwich THIS WAS THE WORST FISH AND CHIPS I HAVE EVER HAD

Horrible poutine. They use grocery store frozen Maccain fries and when you ask for a little spice the douse tabasco into their sauce which is completely disgusting. Wouldnt even think of eating here again. Nothing is fresh.

Ordered on Saturday May 22, got a Falafal Salad and Beef Gyro. The sauce used on both was very runny and just ruined both the gyro and salad. The lettuce used in both the salad and gyro was pretty bad, and there was about four times the amount of sauce on the gyro that there should have been. Also there was hardly any meat on the gyro. Seems like the person who made the food had no idea what they were doing. Mistakes do happen, but if you dont correct them you get one one star.

The flavours are incredible. Their chicken shawarma with the tzatziki is one of the most unique, delicious flavour combinations Ive ever tasted. YUM! will be back soon!

Mr Syed took extra care of my family and I. He was friendly, warming and his presence made us felt welcomed. We ordered a bunch of items off the menu including: fish & chips, beef gyro wrap and chicken over rice and everything was made fresh and it was delicious. It was nice to have a halal location so close to our hotel as well. I would highly recommend this location!

We tried the falafel wrap and the beef gyro wrap - both incredibly tasty and fresh!

Was ok for a truck. But the chicken gyro / shawarma was neither. It seemed to be pre-cooked chicken that was reheated quickly on the grill. Not much flavor and small portion. And the chai Wan just a boring regular tea with no spice.

Delicious Halal Shawarma with rice in Owen Sound

Gyro was good. Service was good. But the chicken was cold. Probably coz we came in an hour before closing. Out of some veggies at that time. Very open concept place. Didnt like the decor. Red and blue walls.

Food is delicious, unfortunately its not worth the price. The shawarma platter has very little meat and very lite on veggies. The majority of the meal is a plate full of rice.

Been wanting to go for some time but my hours never lined up with their restaurant hours. Well today I finally ordered from Mr. Khans and got the special platter...AWESOME! Loved the rice which is above the rest in the city. Will definitely be ordering again.

A great place for fish chips and sharwama. Portion is large and the fish tastes great! You can also get a beef rice if you ordered 4pcs of fish. The park outside has a beautiful view where you can enjoy the meal.

Moved to Owen Sound and was delighted to find a shawarma restaurant. Bought 2 shawarmas at $8 each. Offered generous portion and was very flavorful. Highly recommended.

Firstly the portion sizes are decent, secondly it was amazing ! the Mr.Khans platter was my favorite, I couldn t even finish there was so much food!! So tasty, well seasoned and lots of it! Isnt it amazing how different precut schwarma is from FRESHLY CUT! Wont be returning for that dried out hay your serving instead. Pity, you would probably be a whole lot busier if you did. What a waste.

All of these reviews are clearly written by the owner and family! We paid 40 for the rice, bean and cheese burritos that contain zero cheese at all! Its in the title..... It is just rice and shredded carrots! I also ordered the hummus the most oil amd grease i have ever had in a hummus! 5 little pieces of old floppy pitas that look like they are out of the garbage! How do you mess up chesse really! This is absolutely disgusting! I will not ever order again and suggest the same for anyone else curious about this place. I am literally disgusted! Wow! Just terrible filler greasy garbage Oh and my fish was one piece with no tartar sauce just a nasty piece of fish in way too much packaging! Would give this 0 stars if i could! Waste of my hard earned money!

Was passing through Owen Sound and stopped by Mr. Khans. Excellent food and even more exceptional was the service.

Terrible!! Do not try the Mr Khan platter!! Over filled with rice, and barley any chicken or gyro. The chicken and gyro was over cooked, dried and tasteless. Will ever stop here again!!

Added sauces where too liquid,feels like mixed with lots of water.... 100 % sure, good rating given by known friends or family...!! Moreover, it s visible, owner ignored the 1 star ratings...!!! Don t ever try this worst Restaurant....!!!

I dont understand the bad reviews. I was so happy to discover this little place. The food is delicious and fair priced with good portions. Its one of my favourite places to eat in OS. The staff are beyond friendly and its always so clean and welcoming. I can guarantee the good reviews are legit and not written by the owner. When I saw the bad reviews I had to make an effort to write my own. This place is awesome and a nice, refreshing change. I recommend it to everyone. Keep up the awesome service guys

Pretty good falafel. They dont have all the usual toppings such as humus or garlic sauce but its not Toronto, so understandable. Hope they get busier so they can offer such items in the future and bigger pitas and vegetarian options.

About the only advantage this place has over a food truck is that it is indoors. Not sure what this place is supposed to be. Paper plates and plastic throwaway cutlery. No service. They dont see if you are enjoying your food. They dont bring water. We had the fish and chips, one of my daughters daughters favorite meals as well as mine. We were both disappointed. Limon juice and awful tartar sauce that both come in packets like ketchup comes in. I honestly dont think I have EVER seen my 11 year old daughter not finish her meal. And she is a big eater We threw out a whole piece of fish from her plate. She said it wasnt that she was full. I wanted her to eat it so she wouldnt be hungry. She said she just really didnt want to. The meal made her feel bad and so disappointed she just had zero desire to eat the rest. Never ever have I seen her like that! I am actually surprised. I thought it was going to be great as I knew he had the Captain Johns fishnchip place prior to this place. I cant imagine I would ever go back.

Very nice and cozy place with very friendly staff ...my friend invite my wife and i to have lunch and it was spectacular ...the food is awesome they serve me rice on the house to try it out ...and trust me it finish in second... I needed to order another one it was that good The fish and chips my wife love every bit of it I would recommend everyone to eat there

Limited menu but the service was quick and the food was fantastic.

I had the pleasure of eating here yesterday, I arrived around 5pm and what pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, the place was busy! Only two free booths, about three people in line ahead of me. Waited about five minutes to order and a couple for the food to be prepared. Let me say the food is excellent, while priced slightly higher than similar establiments in the bigger cities, dont let a couple extra dollars deter you. The Chicken Shawarma is to die for! This will become a regular place for me.

We went there for lunch today. I had the chicken shawarma and my wife had falafels on rice. Both were delicious and well priced. My only complaints would be that there could be more heat and I missed the pickled turnip.

I ve driven 2 hours to get shawarma before, and I was extactic to learn I could get it closer to home. Excellent service, and the food is great! I recommend eating here over fast food places!
