Tonight my husband and I had the habibi bowl for the Sunday special. The staff were very friendly and the food's flavour was excellent. Portion size is very good. Value is excellent as well when purchasing the daily deals. I have enjoyed consistent courteous greetings from staff every time I have gone to the Owen Sound location and will continue to try new menu items!
Fantastic new eatery for Mediterranean/middle Eastern cuisine! Food is of excellent quality and value for your dollar, staff are very courteous and helpful... EDITED: I revisited and got their $8 chicken plate special on a Monday. The dish was WAY better the 2nd time around with the rice. Also, the plate isn't very big so an $8 price point makes way more sense than $15 on a normal day with no special. I would recommend hitting them up for their daily specials. ORIGINAL: We moved from the city and so we are familiar with this chain. The food was good but not what we were expecting for shawarma. The portions are also small considering the price. The plate in the photo is almost $15 for a "regular size". It looks like the first couple days this place was open, there were hundreds of 5 star reviews that seem like bots.. Not a bad spot, but just doesn't fill the big shawarma gap in Owen Sound.
The staff were very friendly and helpful in helping me put together the platter I was ordering with a lot of helpful suggestions and were very enthusiastic! It really made for a great ordering experience! The Royal Shawarma platter that I ordered was absolutely delicious and had lots of options and variety. I had been there previous and ordered the Blueberry Flame wrap and it was fantastic as well. Looking forward to my next stop in here!!

This place is the best in Bruce! Not only is the food phenomenal, but the service is simply incredible. The owner and employees always go above and beyond for my husband and I. Even for the most minor inconveniences, the owner will always rectify them to ensure we have a great experience. Really appreciate the dedication of the employees as well as the quality this establishment brings. If you re in the area, definitely try them out!

In Response to Owners Comment: Remember, I initially rated the food high and gave a four star rating based on the slow service (all three visits). Others in the store had complained of slow service, as have other reviewers. The rating of ONE was due to the fake reviews. It would appear that you have reached out to family, friends, contacts and had then give reviews when they clearly havent been to either of your restaurants. Myself and others use Google reviews, especially when traveling, to select restaurants. It would be nice if the platform were free of abuse and used for its intended purpose. I have no connection with your competitors, nor do I hold a grudge. Im just asking for honestly. Maybe have your contacts/friends/family or whoever they are, remove their false reviews until they have actually visited Owen Sound and Tahinis. Good luck with your restaurant; just be honest with the residents of Owen Sound. Update: REVIEWS ARE FRAUDULENT While waiting 10 minutes for my food, I looked into the 200+ reviews for this place. A large number of reviewers have only been to two restaurants in Canada - Tahinis in Owen Sound and Pizza Pizza in Sudbury - both owned by the same person. If they have made additional reviews, its often in New Delhi and various locations in the Middel East! The people of Owen Sound deserve better. Show some integrity if you want to do business in Owen Sound. Afterall, your food is pretty good. This is why I changed my original review from **** to * Original Review Ive visited this location twice and both times the food was very good (chicken shawarma & chicken shawarma & salad). Slow service has been an issue on both occasions. First time they had multiple platter orders that they were making amongst walk-in business. Last visit they had one person working and he was overwhelmed. The customer ahead of me had been waiting for over an hour for 8 dinners. Another customer canceled his order. I waited for over 20 minutes for one item. Service times need to improve - its fast food. Im somewhat suspicious of the 291 reviews for this restaurant that has just opened, considering that they dont mention service, many one or two time reviewers and predomantly East Indian surnames - in Owen Sound.

My issue isnt with the food or service, they are both great. I just think its not right for the employees to park right in front of the store. Those are spots for elderly and people with disabilities and families so they dont have to walk as far. The rest of the establishments in the complex abide by this and park out in the lot. Sorry again nothing against the store itself Update- employees still parking right infront of the store fronts, taking spots from customers. Nothing has been corrected at all

Weve been here 3 times now and tried 3 different items. Each was absolutely delicious with tons of flavour and made with fresh ingredients. Portions are generous and staff is always super friendly and helpful. I cant wait to come back and keep trying more items!
Did not receive my baklava or extras that i ordered on my shawarma bowl. My wife picked it up not thinking to double check the bag and here I am now realizing the order wasnt completed

I visited Tahini on its opening day, and it was fantastic! The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I tried the tahini butter chicken bowl and the fries, both delicious and full of flavor. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Everything is fresh and delicious. I love the fact that they make your dough right in front of you and then bake it for your sandwich. You dont get home style cooking like this very often anymore.

Delicious falafel wrap on fresh made wraps. $8 daily deal makes a cheap option for a Saturday. Excellent customer service who offered suggestions for a first time customer. Will be back.

The meat was chewy which put me off. The flavour was good, would have really enjoyed more veggies put in it for the cost. In comparison to the alternate OZ restaurant option Ill take that instead. Food

I went in and placed the order of entertainment trays the day before. Nice and easy. I was going to have someone pick it up for me but they actually delivered it to my store across the parking lot! Was not expecting that! Food was very good and I look forward to having some lunch there soon.

The Friday special was falafels with rice for $8. They added some fresh greens, tomato slices and some pickled purple and hummus. It was yummy! Their samosas and wrap were also delicious. Vegetarian options: My falafel and rice bowl was vegan. Parking: Friendly staff and clean bathroom too
