The food is okay. Its what some might call old people food - kind of bland, and nothing innovative or particularly special. Little to no vegetarian options. Like other reviews have mentioned, my group was asked to leave by the owner (and not nicely, I might add) the moment our plates were cleared, before any of us were done our coffees, because they wanted our table.

Arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 am and they dont open until 8 am and I remembered this is Owen Sound and life moves a little slower here. It was worth the wait! The waitress was very professional and attended to my wants and needs without seeming rushed or put out. However I quickly realized as some of the regulars came in she was warm and accommodating. I believe if I make this a regular breakfast spot I would receive the same treatment. Kudos to the wait staff. I do not know if the person who cooked my breakfast was the owner but they greeted me warmly as I entered the restaurant and the Breakfast was absolutely perfect. Very pleased with my experience here. I had just got off an 8 hour midnight shift and went home happy and satisfied! Definitely discovered an Owen Sound Treasure here.

After leaving another restaurant due to its lack of egg free meal options, we visited Boot & Blade Restaurant for the first time. The chef was more than able to prepare a delicious, egg free lunch. The food was amazing, the prices fair. The young lady who served us was knowledgeable, friendly and made it a most enjoyable visit. Our new go to place when we visit Owen Sound.

Went for breakfast. I had eggs with pemeal bacon, homefries, toast, and coffee. My daughter had poached eggs with homefries and coffee. Our meals were good, The service was quick and friendly.

Stopped in for lunch, got there just before the lunch rush started. I ordered the reuben sandwich with fries and my buddy ordered breakfast. Both were delicious will definitely be back again! Parking: Limited parking in the strip mall but lots of parking across the street at Wholesale Club

The Boot and Blade has gone down hill. Lived in OS most of my life and remember it always being a hot spot with good comfort food. Last couple of times Ive gone the food was either cold, not cooked or super bland and the service hasnt been great even if its not busy. Usually go with my dad (who is very easy to please) and he wont eat here anymore.

Made a reservation at this restaurant to have a late breakfast with a couple of friends. We all ordered eggs Benedict and a drink - food was good. We had just finished eating our $20 breakfast and were still finishing our drinks when the manager came to our table and asked us to leave due to their lineup. As a former restaurant owner, I was absolutely shocked. I guess I remember why I haven t eaten here in 7 years. Give us your money and get out ! Never once was asked for a refill of anything either .

Took my Family out for Sunday breakfast. Staff were very nice and attentive. Food was exactly what we wanted and prepared perfectly. Always been a staple and always will be. Kid-friendliness: High chairs and very accommodating. Always has been a family oriented restaurant.

I understand that moods can be iffy when busy, so not going to complain on waitress, as it was busy, and when it calmed down, she was pleasant. But never, in my 53 years, both eaten or prepare, a chicken fajita wrap like the B&B. Most wraps are either fully wrapped with ends tucked in, then cut in half, or one end tucked in, and other end opened. Mine was both ends open, which made me use a knife and fork to eat it. Might as well had it taco style

Great breakfast, and lunches. I usually call ahead and pick up my order which is very convenient as some places wont allow that. Cajun club is by far my favorite. Their onion rings are the fatter style ones so ask for well done if you prefer skinnier onion rings. The staff are always friendly and accommodating.

This visit was a casual business brunch/early lunch for five people. The B&B s varied menu was excellent as some had breakfast type meals while others chose lunch offerings. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Thanks again and we ll be back again soon. Parking: There is plenty of parking in the lot and on the street. Kid-friendliness: We often see three (or sometimes even four) generations of a family enjoying a meal here. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible, but not modern/fantastic.

We had breakfast here today . Food was good and came out fast . The gentleman who was our server today was friendly, attentive and polite . We will do it again . Breakfast is served all day so if you feel like it have some for dinner :)

We didnt know what to expect - looks can be deceiving! The food here was FANTASTIC!!! Homemade cream of button mushroom soup was delicious! Hamburgers were out of this world. Would highly recommend!!!! Dietary restrictions: Actually had food to order for a keto diet!!!

Even though we showed up just before closing time, the staff still accommodated our family with a takeout order. Every time we are here, staff are courteous, food is great!

Pushed off from breakfast before even finishing my first coffee. I understood she was busy. But it is unusual to be told her door was busy, without a please or thank-you.

There is a reason they do not put the prices on their website. Over priced for the portions - over $9 for a kids breakfast meal is excessive which did not include a drink, that was $3.50 for a kids chocolate milk! Ordered the Eggs Benedict which arrived with very little hollandaise sauce, requested more and was charged for it! Once I tasted it, realized it lacked flavour aside from the paprika sprinkled on the top. Questioned the extra charge for the hollandaise and was told we put on the amount and any more than that is extra cost - seemed evident that this was something questioned frequently. Will not be returning or recommending. The best part of my experience was leaving, knowing I will never return.

Absolutely amazing food. At very very good prices its almost like inflation didnt effect this place. The coffee...... I cant remember having a better cup of coffee anywhere. My girlfriends eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly. My over easy eggs perfection, youd be surprised how many places mess up over easy eggs. Were from out of town for a golf tournament but when we come back we know our favorite spot.

Absolutely love this restaurant. It has amazing food and awesome staff. I would say its the best wings in town! Also the best breakfast in town too. Well worth every dollar! Other places just warm their food up not the boot blade it takes a little longer because they actually cook with a real chef. Look forward to dinner here!

This place was amazing! We went as a group of 8 to this small restaurant and they accommodated us by putting 2 tables together, no questions asked. The food was standard diner food, but they were all delicious. Their special, the bourbon burger was exceptional! We definitely will come again the next time were in Owen Sound!

Was better once upon a time. New owners arent as good as the old ones. Wait staff just arent into their jobs. Ordered eggs Benedict poached soft, eggs were hard and barely any hollandaise sauce, it should leave your plate messy and enough to slop it up with the toast. My partner order scrambled eggs with crispy bacon and brown bread. She received rubbery bacon with white bread. The bread is taste like cheap bread at a motel continental breakfast. This place just isnt the same as it used to be.

We made reservations for 7 people at 7.00 on saturday night and this restaurant is a real jem for Owen Sound. Everything we ordered was just amazing. Carl was our server and he is just fantastic. They now have customers for life.

Granted it was the last hour of their day this was collectively the worst food I have ever been served. Came here with 4 friends and we had a great time laughing at the awful quality of this food. Fish and chips tasted like opossum, potatoes like animal feed, chicken caesar wrap was grey, burger was served with triple toasted rye bread and the burger was more charcoal than meat. An hour for food too. Server was kind and enjoyed the people and atmosphere but this food was rank. The only palatable meal was simple things like chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks and wings which were all very average. Really wanted to like this place but you cannot serve that food. Gordon Ramsey needs to refine menu too, way too many options. Focus on a few and make it GOOD. Cheesecake because it was my birthday was very tasty however! Maybe this place has very good breakfasts but my experience says otherwise.

If youre concerned about Covid DO NOT go to this restaurant. No contact tracing information was taken, we were not asked to show our QR code and only 1 staff member was wearing a mask. Luckily this was our waitress. A woman seated us and we could see into the kitchen when the door opened and none of them wore masks. The food was good enough but not worth the risk.

Our experience was very disappointing. Terribly slow service. We sat at our booth waiting to be served at least 20 minutes. I eventually had to get up from my seat and ask for someone to take our order. Then our meals arrived an hour later! The food was equally disappointing. It arrived cold. The mashed potatoes were obviously from a box and were scooped like two dollops of ice cream on to my plate. The liver was the size of a small piece of rye toast and the gravy tasted like it came from a can. I expected so much more from my first visit to Boots and Blades.

Amazing breakfast joint in Owen Sound. Had a great experience. The service was speedy and courteous. And the food was delicious. We had the Spanish Omelette and Pancake breakfast. The omelette was fresh and full of flavour. The pancakes were made to order and fluffy. The side bacon was tasty as well. If youre looking for a fast and affordable breakfast in Owen Sound, be sure to stop by and you wont be disappointed!

What a great dining experience! We had an exceptionally friendly server, both our meals were very good, and what great value for your money. My prime rib dinner was perfectly cooked and the sides were very good as well. We will definitely be back and also recommending to friends.

Also saw the same staff person not wearing his mask during a meal service. I too am a front line health care worker and administer testing to people who come to find out if they have the Covid-19 virus. Have also reported this incident to public health. Very disappointed in the server and the manager of this restaurant for allowing this to happen. This is highly irresponsible especially during the Covid-19 pandemic as we need to keep cases down in the Grey Bruce region and in the city of Owen Sound.

Was going to eat in the restaurant on November 29th. Saw one of the staff not wearing a mask which is mandated as essential during the Covid-19 pandemic. I did not go into the restaurant and chose to leave. I am a nurse and work in the ER and I found this highly disturbing to see this. And it certainly does not violate human rights to have staff in a restaurant wear a mask. These people deal with the public and serve food and as a front line health care worker who has seen people die from Covid-19 this is highly disturbing to say the least. I will return and make sure I do not see the same staff person not wearing his mask. I have reported this incident to the public health unit in Grey Bruce/Owen Sound. This is a shame really since this restaurant serves delicious food. The owner and manager of the restaurant should know better than to let a server not wear a mask.
