Everything tasted wonderful at the start, then things changed and something tasted off 24 hours later, food poisoning hit for the whole family except our daughter who did not eat the sushi . $250 later and everyone in the family got sick. Puking and diarrhea. This isn t right..

If I could give it zero stars I would. I called yesterday evening to speak to a manager, the lady I spoke to her name was net (allegedly) said a manager wasnt in and hung up. I called back she said the manager wasnt in and to stop calling. All I wanted to inquire about was the gluten free options, and how safe it would be for me as a celiac. Definitely DO NOT recommend this place.

Excellent sushi restaurant.

We went to the restaurant recently. They are pets friendly, they let us bring small dog into the restaurant. The food was okay. I really don t like their service. Very unprofessional. I waited over half hours they even didn t put my order in the system.

Busy place but foods were pretty awesome. The staff tried hard to make everyone served well; two of our orders didn t come at all. Overall, we had a good sit down meal Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose from either all you can eat or simply order from their menus.

Its good, your average all you can eat sushi restaurant. The servers are great and the atmosphere is as well!

I ordered salmon avocado rolls and my rice was very dry and tough.

I ordered on line and when I got there I was waiting for my food and noticed that the place was dirty. Then I saw the sushi chef reach under the cash counter with an old plastic dish open and old dirty 5 gallon bucket and scoop out cooked rice I asked him if it was cooked and the manager chimed in and said yes. I nearly threw up right there. Walked out. In response to the owner s comment- there is more than 1 yummy yummy sushi place in Owen sound, I dont think so. Given that this happened two days ago I am sure she remembers telling a customer that the bucket on the floor contained cooked rice that was intended for customers. She s a flat out liar and it really is so shocking. No honor here what so ever.

Worst sushi place in Ontario Ive been to. They drown the side dishes for All You Can Eat with vegetables like green chicken curry, Id expect to be mostly chicken not 80% vegetables. Then when I dont finish it they threaten me to pay full price for it even though they gave me veggies I didnt ask for. Another thing is that they cheap out on the salmon sashimi. They always give you less than what you asked for. I order 20 and only 15 pieces came and they were small like halves so technically I only got 7 pieces. Terrible liars and cheaters on this. Second time I came here I got treated terribly and was told that they cant serve me salmon sashimi because I ordered too many. No ALL YOU CAN EAT says no to an order because its ALL YOU CAN EAT but this place does, I got kicked out and was still craving salmon sashimi. Okinawa Sushi was open arms to me and my salmon sashimi craze and didnt kick me out. Save your money and sanity and dont go to this establishment.

I made a mistake by inputting $40 tip instead of $4. I called the store and spoke with the manager that I need to get back to the store to be able to refund the excess tip. So when I finally went there to refund, the manager was not there and an employee told me that they don t do refund. So I called again the store hoping to speak with the manager but unfortunately the one who picked the phone just dropped the call as soon as I ask to speak with the manager. Just a terrible way to handle customer concern.

Wonderful service, very tasty food, we enjoyed our time at the restaurant. Had two children with us that actually ate and asked for more, which is great! I do recommend the place for the quality of food and services, considering it is very reasonably priced! Enjoyed an afternoon with my daughters at Yummy Yummy. Polite service in a very timely manner. The food was Yummy and we included some bubble tea with our meal. It was perfect for us. We were able to talk, laugh and eat together with something for everyone to enjoy. We will definitely go back again and recommend trying it at least once.

Today after a very long time we go to yummy yummy and the food was amazing. Service was a little slow, they should hire more staff for busy days.

1 visit was enough for me a 2nd visit will not happen . In your reply of the pop , I was not advised of this and the guests I saw were more adults so get large cups ! where did I state the pop should be free? There was so many reasons I will never return and would not promote this restaurant.

We stopped here for sushi while in Owen Sound. The sushi was amazing, fresh and tasty with lots of filling and less rice. The rice is well seasoned, and the tempura was crispy without being oily. The special rolls are gigantic compared to usual rolls in Ottawa or Toronto, very large portions. I actually ordered takeout from here a second time within a few days and it was also excellent. The inari sushi was delicious. Definitely worth a visit! Edit: have been working in the hospital all week and have ordered from here numerous times now on Uber eats as well- they ve kept us fed in the snow storm and everything has been delicious. The pepper beef is amazing and worth trying.

Me an my family went to gummy yummy and we had a great experience for our first time definitely going back

Wonderful food and have been coming here for years BUT today we went for lunch and my partner has epilepsy and had a medical emergency in the restaurant. Staff kept bringing food to our table mid-seizure acting like nothing was happening and showed no compassion or concern when my friends and I explained that he is having a seizure. When we went to pay, I informed a staff member that my partner did not eat or order anything due to having a grand-mal seizure at the table. The waitress said Well you should have told me sooner and was rude. I insisted we told our main waitress and she said ok let me ask her then, with no concern or anything. No one cared that this was happening or offered to help in any way. 2 customers sitting behind us were laughing at my partner. Horrible experience today. Don t think I can ever eat here again.

Received rotten/spoiled salmon rose in my order. Not sure what was rotten/spoiled in it but it was horrendous. I threw out the entire order. Totally lost trust in the food. I am a regular customer. I ordered from here through Skip the Dishes. Called back and was told to go through SKTD....wont order from here again. Edit: I did call, and after explaining to the staff member my issues, i was told to just get a refund from SKTD (they dont refund so easily). I was going to toss it up to just a mistake/busy night, but after receiving my incomplete order (ginger/wasabi/soy sauce/cookies were not included) and the spoiled food... getting brushed off was the last straw. Im a reasonable person, but when you are unreasonable and I pay $80 and get told to go away...you get this review. I appreciate how challenging the food industry can be, but this could have been avoided if you treated my problem/issue like a human being. This wasnt the first time we had issues with missing items in an order, but first time we received spoiled food. What I wont tolerate is the restaurants lack of accountability. My order was the one with Lemongrass soup, mountain roll, avacado roll, salmon rose, cheese wonton and salmon tempura roll.

Overall pretty good! The rolls were fresh and tasty. The building itself could use a reno, sinking sections of floor and seemed just a bit rundown. No complaints on food or service though! Very pleasant servers and easy ordering via iPad. Exactly what you would expect from an All you can eat sushi place!

I love Yummy Yummy. They food is very good and I dont react to MSG or gluten there. The food is gluten free and Im assuming MSG free too. Vegetarian options: There are a lot of vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: Doesnt seem to be much gluten or MSG which is good for me. Parking: There is not very many parking spots but it is free but also behind the store so not the easiest to find Kid-friendliness: Service and staff are good with children Wheelchair accessibility: You can take the wheelchair right through their back door.

One of the best restaurants in Owen Sound. Yummy Yummy has the best sushi! The staff are very friendly. The service is very fast. Very affordable and good prices. All you can eat is a really good deal for the amount of food you get. They dont have guest wifi. The decor is very tasteful. Vegetarian options: They have vegan and vegeterian options. Dietary restrictions: They have vegan and vegeterian options. Parking: Parking behind the building. Kid-friendliness: They have smaller portions that would be good for a child. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ledge in the back that you have to step over so it wouldnt be very user freindly for someone who uses a wheelchair.

Food was Amazing!!! Service was top notch!! Im not one for sushi but I took my nephew here for his Birthday. He convinced me to try the eel, it was surprisingly good!! I loved their cream cheese wontons. Definitely will be back!!!

We always come to this restaurant and food were good. This time all three food we ordered were not good at all. The pineapple chicken fried rice were first had spoiled peanuts and then it was too sweet. The spicy basil chicken was no spicy and it was sweet.

We live 40 minutes south of OS. This is the closest place to get sushi, but there is no need to look anywhere else. The food is always great. We normally go for all-you-can-eat. The rolls are HUGE!!! Lol. Normally, all you can eat rolls are tiny. The staff is always friendly. We love this place!!!!!

I would give them 10 stars if I could. Yummy yummy is truly somewhere special. The food is great but the staff are our favourite! They are so kind and have been a go to spot for us that they get so exited to see our kids and how big they got! They even know my order and bring it to me (spider roll no avocado lol). I split all of the above with a date. Everything was top notch. Miso Soup, Edamame, Sweet potato Tempura, Salmon Sushi, Wakame Salad, Spicy salmon Maki, Vegetable dragon roll (Sweet potato, avocado), Sweet potato Maki, Avocado Inari. Deep fried banana. Would highly recommend.

Food has always been great. Ordered via Skip the Dishes on May 14/23 and paid. Time estimate was 60 mins for delivery. After an hour and a half of waiting, Skip the Dishes cancelled our order. Ruined Mothers Day dinner. Reordered and picked it up ourselves, 2 and a half hours after the order was first placed.

Bad food, even worse service. The tunaroll looked like someone chewed it and spit it out. All the tempura was soggy. Half of our order was forgotten, and their excuse was the ipads I won t be back for sure.

Most items are fresh. AYCE sushi is very expensive. The price goes even higher on weekends/holidays but the menu does not change.

Place burnt down the food was so fire - overheard from another fellow Gen Z person As others have said and as the name implies. This place is awesome. The service is always prompt and the food is always worth more than what you pay. All you can eat sushi for lunch is a recipe for desk naps at whatever Friday afternoon 3 pm meeting you re unfortunately taking part in - but it s worth it, trust me. 100% recommend Yummy Yummy sushi.

If you have children, do NOT come here. Waitress would constantly nag us to make our 1yo absolutely quiet, because the chef couldn t focus It s insane how a restaurant can expect a baby to be absolutely quiet, when we are the paying customers and headphones are easily accessible for the bothered chef. I will not be giving this restaurant anymore business and if you have children and plan on coming here, be prepared to be belittled by the staff over your kid being a kid.

2023 review: by far some of the worst tasting sushi Ive had in Ontario. Also some of the worst service Ive had. The sushi is made incorrectly and taste like toothpaste. The rice and avocado were also poor quality. Take your service else where this place is awful now. Old review 2019: Limiting lunch menu items but the price is good and services is good. Fast waiting time also, would recommend alone or in a group.

Fast, friendly and yummy!

The food - we had ALL YOU CAN EAT - was very good. It was fresh, there was a good selection and it came relatively quickly. Even if we ordered more. People regularly asked whether they would like more water or whether they would like more ginger or wasabi. Ordering via the restaurant tablet worked without any problems. The restaurant could use a new coat of paint, cozy is somehow different, and the service was okay. Not unfriendly, but rather neutral. In Canada you always expect or are asked to tip 15-20% - no matter how good the service was at the end. It certainly wasnt a real 15-20% here. But overall the restaurant is definitely recommended.

Yummy Yummy seems to be going downhill. It used to be great, but the last time we went the rice was kinda hard and the special roll we got was way too big, difficult to eat, and not that tasty. For the price, our experience was sub par.

I have been eating here since reduced covid restrictions. I try to meet with friends for lunch once a month. Amazing food. Wish they had lunchtime portions. Their green curry shrimp (spicy) is so amazing I almost never order anything else. around $20 each.

We came with a rowdy party on a fairly empty day. Having eaten at some other sushi places elsewhere, its definitely not the greatest experience in the world, but the restaurant is in Owen sound, so its understandable. Their ayce menu has a good amount of variety, and I liked their meat skewers and teriyaki options. Their udon was overcooked and the meat that came with it was breaking apart, but the rest of the food was reasonable. Their sushi had a high rice to fish ratio, which made it less enjoyable. I would suggest a menu change for multiple tiers of ayce, with a lower tier offering the regular menu items with a limited amount of sashimi, which allows them to offer a higher quality level of food, with more fish to rice, and a more expensive ayce tier with ayce sashimi. Service was reasonable as the waiters explained when the restaurant ran out of many sashimi options with our large group. I would have liked to see some kind of offered compensation when the restaurant ran out of items, whether it be a takeout sushi set or a small deduction on the bill. Overall, it was a reasonable experience for the only real sushi restaurant in Owen Sound. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian rolls and other dishes

We order take out from Yummy Yummy regularly. We usually get sushi, which is great, but we ordered the red curry sauce fish, which we typically love, as it is usually a generous portion of flaky light white fish and lots of shrimp. We ordered this on Friday as a treat and it had no shrimp in it and the fish was terrible we could not figure out what fish was, but it was thin and greasy and very fishy tasting. We both love fish but we actually picked all of the fish out of our meal and just ate the rice. Was very disappointing as it is normally a treat for us.

Have been here many times, usually really good and happy with everything. Today my daughter and I came and I feel like maybe they have had an owner change or something because the food was not that great. Everything tasted the same, the seaweed was tough and the rice was extra chewy . Also tried to charge me 33.99 for my 12 year old daughter yes she looks older but if your unsure ask.

Ordering and service were excellent and freshness and variety of sushi was great. Butterfish best Ive had in a while and salmon great. Could have used more wasabi in the initial plates and the pickled ginger pre-broken into smaller pieces but good overall. A little welcome dish morsel would be nice. Cheerful and kind service, professional and positive environment. Nori was well-tenderized. The place is busy for a reason - its a unique experience for Owen Sound - next time Ill come hungrier, and Ill definitely be back to try more. Its a little bit of dim sum style perfection in its method, well-managed.

Weve enjoyed great meals at Yummy Yummys previously, but yesterdays Thai curry takeout was dreadful. The food tasted old, like it had been kept in the fridge and then just warmed up, not tasty and fresh as it has been in the past. So disappointing. I wonder what happened?

We have been going to Yummy Yummy since they opened in Owen Sound. The sushi is fantastic! Ricky, Nicole, Don and Janet are such wonderful people and give such fantastic customer service.

Our favorite sushi place. Accommodating staff and yummy yummy food. When sit in is permitted it is an all you can eat. You select your sushi from an iPad at the table and it is then made fresh. We have ordered out the party trays multiple times and the quality, quantity and taste keeps us coming back for more. Our family actually lives an hour away and specifically drives to eat here.

Great service, great food, at a great price

This is basically the best experience in a very long time. We were so craving for sushi after eating fish and chips and hiking food like cheese and crackers. We went to give it a shot at Yummy Yummy. The food was great but more importantly the staff were so nice and we felt like eating at home. No exaggeration at all. Highly recommend this for anyone who s visiting Owen sound or nearby places. We will definitely come back!!

A great spot for AYCE in Owen Sound. There seemed to be an atmosphere with regulars coming in and speaking with staff and it did not seem like a cheap, rushed kitchen.

Was not expecting this quality of sushi for all ou can eat! Unreal quality of fish (salmon and butter fish) the rice is FRESH and probably one of the best I ve had. Price is on point, would definitely come back!

Great food tastes good big portions, but the only thing that bugs me is that when I dine there and I see there decorations and display, the tanto and Katana are set up wrong and since is a Japanese restaurant Im kind of disappointed.

Really great sashimi and nigiri, the rice was amazing. Maki and special rolls were creative and unique. Really enjoyed the variety and super impressed with the all you can eat selection and price.

The food tastes great, and it s perfect to be able to enjoy such cost-effective food while traveling! Highly recommended!

Loved the specialty rolls. The combo platters were skimpy though. Great quality reasonable price. Conveniently downtown with parking at the back.

Ate the ayce menu for weekend dinner and it was delicious. We came with 19 people and they gave great customer service and their rolls were huge (only 4 pieces) which also wasnt covered in alot of rice! Would recommend coming here!

This is hands down the best Sushi place in all of Bruce county. Coming from the city, and loving sushi, Ive tried every resturant around me and found Yummy Yummy. I gladly drive 1 hour to get sushi. The food is delicious, the staff are so friendly. I am a regular there now and even know the owner by name. I am greeted so warmly every time I come in. I can not recommend this place enough.

My dad and I had fantastic Thai food at Yummy Yummy! Hes been here before and re-ordered the chang mai noodles. I had some and they were so good! I had the green curry with rice and that was excellent too. Servers were very attentive, efficient and friendly. Will definitely be stopping by again when we make another trip up north

Way better than any all you can eat Ive EVER been to. We took my wifes father here for his 93rd birthday. He has been to Japan many times so he knows whats good. Interesting ordering system which we thought was awkward at first, but after we got some food in our bellies we thought it was awesome! Dont get up this way often but this place gives us one very good reason to visit quelph. We are actually sitting at table 32 right now in Yummy Yummy discussing all this. We all love it! This place was unbelievable. AYCE was a bit pricey, but every sushi places price has increased due to inflation. As long as the food quality is good, its worth it and this place deserves ALL the stars. I cannot stress how amazing and fresh their fish was. Ive been to many sushi places and I have never eaten sushi this fresh, it practically melted in my mouth. All of the appetizers came out piping hot, and the staff were absolutely lovely, coming around and refilling waters. So so SO tasty, and so worth the money. Whenever I end up in this area on vacation I will always be coming here when I crave sushi. 10/10!!!

Its incredible! The price is great and the service is fantastic. You get a a tablet to select each dish from. At first you feel like your ordering a little too much and it can be intimidating but afterwards you get used to it and its amazing!

Excellent food every time, staff are fantastic and friendly. I ve found the food is always fresh and very tasty. Would recommend trying the Yummy Yummy Roll, while it s all you can eat, I tend to go with the al a cart menu as I m not a big eater and the Yummy Yummy Roll is so worth it. Sid Parking: Lots of spots behind the establishment, there s a FREE public parking lot for up to 5 hours and the restaurant has a back entrance for the parking lot area.
