Bonanza has been a staple in my life since I was a kid, and it continues to be one of my favorite spots for breakfast with my mother. Even though the owners have changed, the welcoming and comforting atmosphere remains the same. Its like the show Cheers where you go and everybody knows your name. The food is classic comfort food, always delicious and satisfying. The staff are exceptional polite, friendly, and quick to serve. You can tell they genuinely care about their job and the customers. Its a place where you feel at home, perfect for family outings. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm and engaging dining experience.

Excellent food and service. We were four having breakfast, and we were all pleasantly surprised. The only reason I did not give a 5 stars is because the interior desperately needs to be renovated to be even more agreeable. We almost left because it did not look clean. However, the special attention our waiter gave us was well appreciated and the food was excellent.

food is pretty good and prices are decent however the bathrooms are down quite a steep set of stairs. which is the only negative that being said the bathrooms were spotless. Wheelchair accessibility: Bathrooms are NOT wheelchair accessible

My husband and I got breakfast takeout today. I had a breakfast sandwich called the Downtown Club and my husband had The Farmers Scramble. Both meals were delicious and we will definitely be back.

The place for Brunch. Wait staff are always attentive. Kitchen staff always take pride in their plates. Bennies, eggs, scrambles, pancakes and French toast... All are excellent. Other meals are typical diner fair, but still prepared with the same care.

Bonanza is a long-standing restaurant in Pembroke with typical diner food. Good for filling your belly. I dined with a party of four. We were seated in a dark corner and the staff were audibly annoyed when we wanted to switch tables. The dude that served is was brusque and crusty. Wont return. Parking: Parked in the Giant Tiger parking lot.

Good Pizza however I cant eat it. Im not a fan of burnt pizza.

Food was so poorly done. Had a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, it wasnt real steak/roast beef it was deli meat with soggy bread. Husband had scrambler not real eggs large amount of green peppers not even sautéed just hard and not cooked. No seasoning in either dishes. Really poor job.

Old school diner like when I was a kid! Not a lot hanging around these days! Food was amazing and from what Ive heard has always been! Service is always great in these small towns so no complaints there. Had a side of baloney with my 2 sunny eggs. Rye bread is a choice and potatoes were hot and crispy just like I like them. Recommended for a great hearty breakfast. Nothing beats it in quality and price.

Wow is all I can say the food and staff are amazing first time there today for breakfast. Its the type of places I like they look dated but the food is amazing.

Had an amazing server here. He was running front of house seamlessly, very friendly and had a great experience. Came with wife and kid. Had the eggs Benedict sauce was a bit sweet for me but, the wife loved the taste. Kid had the French toast was great. The bacon was crispy. Eggs were great. Honest feedback. I would come here again.

Awesome place. Cant say enough good about the nostalgia like atmosphere, the food and the staff. Love how its like stepping back in time in some respects. This place is a long time Pembroke staple under newer younger ownership. Great food, great portions, great prices, very friendly staff, cant go wrong with the place. Probably the best Pizza in the Pembroke and Petawawa areas. A better pie I dont know of locally but for the best experience take the kids out and dine in there and get it piping hot fresh from the oven. The all day breakfast choices are numerous with tons of choices there is literally something for everyone on the breaky menu. This place is everything a old school resteraunt should be. Make sure to say hi to Dayna as she is the mastermind behind the renewed success of the place and always greets you with a warm and welcoming smile and a wave. Truely the place feels more like home then a restaurant and I hope its around for many many more years to enjoy. Dayna and Julian keep up the great work and dont ever change who you guys are. You guys make the place what it is and thats why it feels more like walking into a warm and welcoming home then walking into just another restaurant. Popcorn chicken is from frozen. Hamburgers are indeed made in house, pretty good ground chuck nothing to rave about. Chewy and seasoned. Hamburger steak main with gravy is just two in house hamburgers with out a bun, some over boiled carrots and fries. I will say the fries remind me of the KFC fries and how they used to be really crispy and breaded those are pretty good for sure. The poutine is shredded cheese and in my opinion was a pretty good combination with the fries. For the price we paid for the dinner I would have rather had McDs

It is an old Pembroke installation I had to go out with my 10-year-old for breakfast... 20 min waiting at the door, hour after I ordered I got food, the food wasnt bad. Good value for what you pay I just have never been there when it was busy ... I would go again but probably not at peak hours.

Ordered pizza for take out specifically asked for a thicker crust, what I received was paper thin and non edible

Love this place for breakfast lunch or dinner! Great home cooked food, amazing prices, especially this day and age. Staff are always helpful and pleasant. The space itself is a bit rough around the edges but I think thats actually part of the charm. Classic diner vibes. Absolutely love it here.

got the wrong eggs, and very undercooked home fries. deb wasnt very friendly at all. she never checked on us so we couldn t let her know until the end. won t be back.

I always have a great experience at Bonanza! From the accommodating and friendly staff to the delicious food, it s always a go to for me when I want some good home style cooked food without breaking the bank! The burgers are homemade and amazing, and the pizza is in my opinion the best in town! Do I even need to mention the all day breakfast?! Always hits the spot. If you ve been sleeping on this spot it s definitely time to wake up and try it out. I don t think you ll be disappointed!

As always we enjoyed ourselves on all levels. This iconic restaurant, under its new owners, have managed to keep its historic good reputation. Love it.

Ordered a pepperoni pizza and mac n cheese bites. Pizza was a thinner style crust with lots of cheese and salami type pepperoni. Mac n cheese bites were made with Kraft dinner.

This is an old-fashioned diner. We typically go here for breakfast. Also, they play some 50s and 60s music that keeps to the diner theme. The food is good hot and quick. We get the Good morning special with the grilled potatoes. Fantastic. However, sometimes the bacon is a bit too burnt for me.

Had supper here tonight. Fish and chips were delicious and our server Laura was fantastic (best service I have had in a restaurant in a really long time). Oh yes, and there pizza was delicious anytime we have had delivered.

I had a classic clubhouse tonight. One of the best Ive had and Ive been eating them for about 50 years. Delicious! Great service too. Ive had other great meals here too, they keep me coming back.

Had the fish n chips. Nice big portions, tartar sauce was amazing and I really liked the coleslaw. Wasnt a fan of the fries and gravy. Would be willing to try other menu items and their pizza looks insanely delicious.

This little old restaurant is a hidden gem. The food and service are excellent and remind me of the small town restaurants that used to anchor social life across Canada. Did I mention that the prices are modest. I will return whenever the opportunity arises.

I grew up eating here with my mom and still today love this little gem. Don t let them fool you, not only is there breakfast menu to die for but they have a little secret gem as well, their pizzas are also extremely good! Reasonably priced, clean and friendly atmosphere and all around awesome.

They handled a large group of us with notice. Basically it went well. I enjoyed my beef sandwich, but some of the otherd werent crazy about the gravy on the turkey sandwich.

Staff were very welcoming and attentive throughout the meal. Large portions. Hubby had the veal parm and it was the biggest plate of it wed ever seen! Be hungry or share it, or just enjoy your take home portion later. You wont be sorry you stopped in!

This place should be a landmark in Pembroke. If you come to Pembroke you have to have a meal at Bonanza Restaurant. It has been in our downtown core for many years and it has some good old-fashioned home cooking. I have been going there since I have been a kid and now I take my kids there.

Every time that we have ordered from Bonanza, we think that we need to come online to write a review because everything has been delicious! The pizzas are great! The salads are fresh. The burgers and wraps are awesome! Their portions are very generous and they are reasonably priced! Excellent job everyone!

I use to come here in the 80s after Copper Fields closed for the evening. It was then a great dinner and still open today says a lot about the food and service. Two thumbs up.

Went there for lunch and it was so good! I had the bonanza clubhouse, everything was perfect, the turkey and the chipotle mayo! Tried the home made soup of the day and also delicious! My husband had the Ruben and he was also very happy with his meal. The restaurant was busy and waitresses were busy happily working. Great job servers and cooks! I m happy I choose to eat there today, was a good birthday lunch

24yrs previously living in the area and it took a move back to the area for me to finally venture here. What took me so long! OMG, firstly the service, ladies are an absolute joy and attentive. We had breakfast and I have been going back every weekend since, I guess I am not the only one who realizes what a gem this place is as it s quite busy on the weekends in which I go. Never disappointed and now going to be a lifelong customer. A must to check out for a quaint but fulfilling dining experience.

Awesome restaurant

Ordered Poutine with bacon, and my companion ordered a fried egg sandwich, it was explained to us that the delivery would be a bit longer than usual as all the drivers were on long distance deliveries. Well this was worth the wait! The poutine was hot and loaded with cheese and bacon half way down ! The coleslaw is so very delicious and because of the extended wait, Bonanza sent us each an apple turn-over!

Always great food and fantastic value. And always delivered by the owner most times. Always smiling. I recommend this restaurant. Can t wait till we can dine in. Hats off to the owners and staff of the bonanza!!!

Located on Main Street Pembroke, this one of the last of the great old simple bacon & eggs breakfast establishments in the Valley. My dad used to takes us here after church on Sunday mornings. Great tasting coffee as well. Staff are local and always friendly. They make great club sandwiches and pizza as well. I highly recommend you drop for breakfast or lunch anytime. Clean and tidy Booths & free parking close by.
