We had my sons 13th birthday here, the atmosphere was great, and the staff was so accommodating. The arcade games was a huge hit, all the games were working.

The employees were great! Stayed for over 3hrs for the atmosphere, played pool, darts, and arcade games. Went for the food stayed for the experience. Had a blast!

Okay, Ive only been a cook in the valley for almost 40 years. The owner is free to challenge me openly. If they cannot even cook wings properly, they cant cook anything properly. 1 out of 5.

Good food and atmosphere but change the music

Ashes did an exquisite job today for our sons birthday, we came in to a fully decorated table and a warm welcoming waitress who did an excellent job today thank you to her and to the kitchen staff for an incredible meal we will surely be back for more

Did not eat there. Went 2 building east. pita Shack!! Went back to Annes. Played pool. 8 ball. 3xs Music was disruptive. Some music from 70 80 90+ Mostly Rap. Had a good time. Beers 8$. Blue table 3$a game. Ok dk about others as ppl in. Not enough sticks and chalk???. Great place!!!! No sarcasm. True place for families with 5+children... video machine galore....pac man., Enjoy!!!! Want you to understand., no small children at 8pm. For adults after 8. Music

Love the games. Retro arcades. Pool tables. Thank you for doing something different in town. Cant wait to see what you do next. Parking: Lots of space Kid-friendliness: Pretty awesome to have a restaurant with rooms specially for kids. We all get to enjoy our night out.

Amazing server/bartender, was super kind and attentive. We got motza sticks and Ill say I havent had motza sticks this good in a long time. Drinks tasted amazing and a decent price for everything. Owner has an amazing vibe and while there werent many people he came over to check up on us and make sure we were enjoying ourselves. 10/10 would recommend and will come again

Went here and it was small portions of food and over priced felt sick after would not recommend eating here waste of time and money wings were dry and over cooked and fish heavily breaded with little fish inside plus being overcooked

Got 2 lbs of wings buffalo and garlic parm and the parm had nothing just dry dry dry buffalo wings were dry also sweet patato fry s were black my buddy got fish n chips fish was black also and WAYYY to much batter etc was a terrible experience all they gave us was a 10% discount witch was 1 dollar off never again!!!!!!

Ordered the fish and chips. I got the salmon. Food tasted good, no issues there. There were a lot of fries on the plate compared to the piece of salmon. The one piece of salmon was a decent size. The service was fantastic. Price was alright for the amount of food and a beer. I would recommend to pay Ashes a visit. Overall a good restaurant.

Service was great but I have never paid more than $10 for a draft beer of domestic variety even at a full pint glass (Even here in Pembroke most pints of Canadian or Bud cost $10 most). Anywhere else Ive had pilsner especially in Ottawa is no more than $7 for a full pint. Ridiculous

It was a terrible experience. This is the first time trying the restaurant. I got a chicken finger platter, and it was so good, especially with their fries. My partner got pulled pork hoagie, fries, and pulled pork. It was really good except for the tough bun to eat. The way I can describe the bun, it was frozen and thawed in the microwave, and grill after. Server wise is the worst! She treated us so differently with other customers! Seems like she doesnt want to serve us. She spent so much time watching the TV, unable to clean up tables for the next customers, and even forgot to make the drink I ordered. By the way, they serve the food without any cutlery or napkins. I didnt bother to get some because it will take forever before we get her attention.

The music was chill. The food was amazing. Definitely coming back again. Server Lauren P was so helpful and nice and patient with us. I loved her positive attitude and helpfulness.

Went for Wednesday 1\2 price wings. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was comfortable, and I thoroughly enjoyed my food. Parking: Parking at the back. Lots of spaces. Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of room to move around.

Had a big group of about 30 of us tonight. 10 or so more than expected. Staff didnt miss a beat! I had the fish and chips and it was delicious! Left overs for lunch tomorrow! Great atmosphere for both adults and kids. Perfect mix. For a newer place it was fantastic. Look forward to many things they have coming in the future! This is exactly what Pembroke needs. Food is not cooked, owner is rude. Never going back!!!! Huge disappointment

Was extremely disappointed in the food this evening. Was there to pick it up on time , to find out that they didnt have pulled pork for the pulled pork hoagie I ordered, which was the meal I ordered to receive the 2 dollar kids meal. There was no other meal I wanted , so just for the poutine. Which I was charged full price for , paid full price for the kids meal now, and ... and I suggest strongly that no one orders this., the blooming onion. For one they have no clue how to make it . Its raw onion. , couldnt eat it at all. And they use a red onion. The portion of spinach dip was very small. Like like what we recieved when we dined in previously. When I was told there was my food was ready , they just had to make the poutine . Waited ten minutes for it . I never post stuff like this but absolutely not impressed and will not be returning.

The only restaurant we can take all 7 of our children and I actually get to eat my meal without a multitude of mistakes on our orders. The kids love the arcade and play room. They can last minute accomodate a large group. The kids meals are very affordable. Definitely the only family restaurant of its kind in our area.

We came here with a group of adults and a 5-year-old. The little one had the time of her life playing the Ninja Turtles game and playing in the play room (which has toys for kids of all ages!). Adults had a great time playing pool. I was surprised to see so many negative reviews-- the food was good, exactly what you would expect from bar food. The server was very sweet. Im happy to see a place thats so family-friendly! There is even an accessible bathroom/baby changing station. We will be back for sure! Kid-friendliness: So many toys in a separate play room!!!! Ill give this place a 4 across the board. Fish and chips was good and the all you can eat tacos was delicious. We chose this place last minute and in my opinion the tacos was a great surprise and choice. Our child loved the games and play room. Our waitress was great!! Im leaving 3 stars because not all was bad . Be prepared to read some things you may not like to see . We arrived at 345 and sat down and received the lunch menu, which is essentially the appetizer menu . There was absolutely 0 that most of my family would eat for lunch Im.sure there were some great choices, but for us, it just didnt make sense . My kids could get the kids burgers, but I couldnt get a burger or anything. I really couldnt even get just a poutine . We talked to the waitress, who was very good and then decided to wait the 45 minutes until the dinner menu came out . We headed to the games ......oh the 5$ games with money to charity which is amazing BUT many of the games dont actually work. The racing games are set up that small children under 4 foot tall cant reach anything so cant play it all the arcade games are tall bo stools so the little kids again still cant really play ( smallest I had with was 6 years old 3 foot 7 tall ). The hunting game the one controller doesnt work the pinball could use covers over the front buttons because they bump easy and interrupt the game the one racing setup the steering wheel moves so freely you can hardly drive the pool table is a strange setup that could use modification so customers dont have to stick their hands inside the table to release the balls because the first person that gets their hand pinched in the spring that table will be gone . So for 45 minutes and 30$ for the 6 of us we tried to play games. I truly hope you guys find a way for the smaller or shorter for better words to enjoy a bit more Back to the food we sit down with our dinner menu find out the lunch menu is just the front of the dinner menu and the dinner menu also didnt have many choices but enough to get what you will eat . I got the bacon wrapped chicken grilled but I know for a fact no grill touched it because there were no markings except the brown from the frying pan or flat top it was over cooked and very dry the bacon I didnt even eat because it was very very undercooked still sticky from the fats the sauce was really good the poutine needs some serious work like fully cooking the fries and making sure the cheese curds are not super cold mine wouldnt melt at all and they were tasting almost frozen but I know the must have been just super cold because there is no way they ran out and used frozen ones . Most restaurants get curds frozen ..the gravy well that was just disgusting it was very dark almost black and it had chunks in it much like blood clots but nine the less it wasnt very good so most of mine was still on my plate the rest masked by vinegar so.i could eat. My son got the same my other son ordered kids menu the hot dog looked real good the mini burgers went without a complaint . Wife and daughter got ribs the sauce choices were confusing wet or dry but no options no bbq no honey garlic no anything just wet or dry . They were also overcooked tasted alot like pre-cooked ribs I used to be in the business and fresh ribs taste so much better . The prices were god for what you got but honestly Id rather pay a bit more and have the food prepared proper The waitress I had was great she was attentive until our 3rd bite of food then she was like everyone else and hanging out at the bar . We went the rest of out meal with no drinks . Didnt see a dessert option so went to dairy queen but you guys have everything gearing to kids so should probably get a dessert menu ...kids menu is nice and big with some good choices After grand opening they will have a salad bar too which shouldnt be on the menu yet or at least covered We will return after some time if still open . The last place wasnt open long enough to try again

Visited Ashes for the first time this evening and was very happy with the food and service. It is also bright and clean. Definitely returning again. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely horrible experience. We went in and spoke with the bar with one menu. We sat and I actually had to ask for more menus. We ordered chicken wings and turkey clubs. Chicken wings ...some had been under cooked. Food came out separate from clubs. Guess kitchen cant do two things. Onions rings had been over cooked and tasted like fish. Server actually took plate from middle off the table with chicken bones, dumped in trash and gave back the dirty plate. Turkey on club was actually gray, old and tasted off. Our friend ordered cheese and got no cheese. Owner was behind the bar and not once came to our table. Absolutely no excuse as the owner not to come over when you hear of a huge food problem. Absolutely minus 5. Will not be back. Oh and most of us are actually feeling sick because of the food.

Super please with the all you can eat Taco bar. Last night was 1/2 price wings. This place is trending in the right direction!!! Come check it I recommend on the all you can eat taco night!!!!!! Kid-friendliness: Lots for kids in the arcade and play area!

Garbage food. Absolutely the worst restaurant food I have ever had. Wings were like chewing on rubber. Couldn t eat them. Fries were 1/2 cooked. Never again

Fish was under cooked fries under cooked ordered salt pepper wings got lemon pepper wings. Our server kept coming over we just started to eat and was bugging us to do take out already. I know you are new and lots to iron out so its why Im leaving my review now so you know areas to work on. I will try you guys again in a few months. I feel honest reviews are important so you know the areas that need improving.

Seriously the best place to open up in this town in a long time, I haven t been able to bring my children out to many restaurants due to some sensory issues and I couldn t be happier with the experience my boys got to have here

Not a good first experience went with girlfriend for dinner starter came same time as dinner which also took 25+ min to arrive food came undercooked our fish was raw and batter falling off came with only one piece when menu says two also came with no tartar when asking for extra spinach dip was good. Gf got the mushroom melt it should say it s a vegetarian menu item and be separate as there is no actual burger patty. Service was decent waitress was understanding and gave us a free order of funnel cake pieces which was nice but could also use some work. Manager came off rude asking what was wrong after already discussing the issues which was also a problem where we feel expressing our concerns was an issue to them but probably not likely to return in near future. Gravy needs work tastes like can.

OMG!!! We went to ASHES tonight and had so much fun. The food was amazing and the girls had a blast. I wish I took pics of our food but it looked so good we couldnt wait to eat it. Definitely going to be a regular spot for us.

Contacted restaurant to make a dinner reservation for a group to take place on a Tuesday. Restaurant advised that they are not open on Tuesdays. Hours listed on website are open on Tuesdays also a kids special of Toonie Tuesdays are listed on Facebook.

Food is Trash

I went here for lunch awful. Would never recommend. I asked for Mac and cheese, and they gave me spaghetti. The drinks were awful and too expensive for garbage food.

Food - Wings were amazing, but not enough sauce on the sauce ones. Also the menu says baked or fried and we weren t given the option. Waitress didn t even know it said that but a member of our party got baked after requesting. - Spinach dip was really good. - Ribs were too tough. - A member of our party asked for no tomato on club, got tomato. Didn t bother sending back since she got her food way after everyone. Large party so understandable. Menu - Prices displayed on menu didn t match prices on bills. - Some parts are confusing, quesadilla and hoagie are under the spot that says comes with potato choice but then it also says a side for those two is 3.50. - Are fries and yam fries considered the same? What side under the sides section is considered an up sell? - Some grammar/spelling errors, not a big deal. - Kids menu makes it seem like juice and milk are included with kids meal and only the speciality drinks are upsell but we got charged for kids meal PLUS drink even though no prices beside juice and milk. Arcade - Kids loved it! My parents in their 60s didn t play in the arcade and had a $5 arcade charge on their bill. The waitress didn t even offer to refund until after discussing for 5 minutes why they got charged. She said they weren t at the table when she looked and oh well it goes to charity . Parents ended up not getting refund. Bills - A member of our party paid cash but never got to see a bill. - Everyone else paid debit but didn t get a bill either. You can see a bill on the debit machine but it s very small and hard to see. I had to ask a few times before getting a paper bill. Waitress says they never give bills. They definitely need to give bills out and wait a few minutes before asking for payment so customers can look over bill. This issue alone makes me not want to return. Who knows what you could be getting charged for. Kids love it but there are a few things that need to be fixed to make adults love it! Hoping this place lasts!

So happy theres somewhere to play pool in town again! Also, the staff are fantastic!

Took my family out for a late mothers day lunch. We all left with a smile on our faces. We had a great time and enjoyed some games too. Chicken wings and sammies were amazing!!
