Classic authentic and original Thai food. Unique dishes. Vegetarian and gluten-free options. Our dishes include chicken, pork, beef, seafood, salmon, tofu and roast duck. A variety of Japanese and Vietnamese dishes available as well. Authentic Thai Food for Lunch, Dinner and Take-out. Do catering as well.
Very nice place, good service and authentic food. Very well decorated with lots of Thai references. Definately a good option if you are in town.
We had lunch at this charming 12 seaters restaurant today September 6th. We have nothing but praise about the place! We had the grilled chicken skewers as an appetizer. My wife had Chicken Phaneang and I had the marinated pork, garlic salt and pepper dish. All tasted so fresh and delicious! Nita, the owner goes out of her way to please her customers and she had a great sense of humour. Thank you Nita for a delicious and pleasant meal! We truly recommend your restaurant!
Food was wonderful. Watch prices on menu and confirm as we were charged almost $8 more for dinner as she said the menu needed to be updated. Use a marker if you can not get them reprinted. Be honest.
I went there to try and the overall experience was super. The food and the service was amazing. Good ambience with friendly staff and good portion of seving. The price was reasonable as well. Their mango salad iss worthy giving a try.
😊I had went to this restaurant for a late lunch with a friend and had an amazing experience! The food was so, so good. The portions were also quite big. 🍜I had gotten the Pad Thai with chicken and I got an abundance amount of food for a good price. 🫶The service we received was great as well. The person who served us was very friendly. I highly recommend coming to this place, while it is kind of hard to see on the main street, it is certainly worth coming here!
Take out tonight, dinner combo for one, with chicken Pad Thai. The 2 spring rolls were eaten before the picture could be taken. Everything was delicious, generous portions. I'll visit again.
This was absolutely the best experience I’ve had in a while in a restaurant. Nita made my family feel like we were at her house having dinner. Her hospitality was exceptional and the food was out of this world. I loved everything but the coconut soup was outstanding, I loved it so much she gave me the ingredients and recipe. You need to experience this place you will not be disappointed at all. Thank you so much for everything we will definitely be back again.
We had a great experience at Thai Gardens, and found the quality of the food very high and the taste authentically Thai. From our shrimp salad roll to start, to my spicy shrimp pad thai, to my partner’s steaming bowl of beef pho, everything was delicious. I asked for some extra spice, and was given some of the owner’s homemade chili oil to try, which added just enough extra heat to make my nose run :) An added bonus was discovering the Thai cooking supplies that were available for sale (rice noodles, curry pastes, rice paper wraps, jars of that chili oil) near the cash register. We drove 115km just to eat here, and will will do it again very soon! Thank you Nita!!
For us unfortunately our dishes were so bad that we could not finish in addition to an order error, shrimp had been requested and chicken was served with the pad thai
Very peaceful atmosphere. The service was very good, and the food was awesome. Fresh, tasty, and delicious. Food : 5/5
I ordered the Pad Thai, large portion and delicious!
Always love coming here to eat, food is fresh and delicious.
Just had our first dinner at Thai Gardens and it was absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional and the portions very generous. Kid-friendliness: High chair accessible and had toys. The only thing that would make it a bit more kid friendly would me a kids menu option.
TASTY!
What a wonderful gem. Anitas Thai dishes are mouth watering, plentiful and delicous. The Tom Yum soup and Pad Thai was the best I have had. The Google reviews I read before coming were definitely correct. I will definitely be back.
There was a fundraiser giving $2 of every pad thai meal sold. First of all the flavour was weak the noodles were all stuck together and the peanut sauce was soooo thick it clumped in the meal and didnt distribute throughout the dish. The eggs if added were unrecognizable and I ended up with overcooked pork. Very disappointed as I have had great pad Thai. Never have I had it ut together so badly.
I didn t dine in but I wished I had - great atmosphere to have a meal with a date. I always order Pad Thai on the initial visit of a Thai food restaurant. If they can t do pad Thai right then they probably can t do any Thai food dishes right is my experience. This place did great. The soft shrimp spring roll was delicious and the pad Thai was very good. The rolls and the entree were so substantial I could barely finish and at a good price point. I will return.
Worth the drive! Delightfully kitschy, small restaurant with exceptional fresh food at very reasonable prices.
I love this restaurant. GREAT soup!
Ordered take away for 4 of us Saturday and everything was SO delicious, especially the soup!! And it was an extra :D Very good portions- we had lots leftover for next days lunch. Plus the owner/operators are very pleasant Definitely recommend
Great food and even greater company!
Good place, lots of food, owner is nice and calming music to go with the authenticity I love it here highly recommend
Was amazing, one of the best pad Thai I ever had
Its a great local place with a homely feel and wonderful cooking. Dont miss it!
Excellent food, fast service. Would recommend!
This was one of my favourite restaurants, but Ive just spent over 80$ on 4 unauthentic flavourless food I could have made better and more affordable at home. Save your money
Absolutely love this place been going many years.
Excellent little restaurant right in the middle of downtown Pembroke. The ingredients are fresh. Lemongrass tea is absolutely delicious. The service is very personalized. You could think you were in Thailand. Nina is the Thai owner since 2007. I recommend it. Take out also available
Ive loved this place since it opened & now that Ive moved back to Pembroke Im thrilled to be able to enjoy it again! Delicious home cooked authentic meals, you can taste the love that goes into each dish!
Lovely cozy place with tasty Thai food!
My young kids, who are usually quite fussy with food, now love pho and shrimp spring rolls..thanks to you! A great little restaurant with a friendly caring owner. Can t wait for our next meal.
Around Pembroke and Petawawa, I d say this is the best so far we have been to. Food is cooked with passion and love. I would highly recommend to those who want to explore other cuisines. Servings are more than normal. I didn t realize we ordered more than we could handle. Will come back again.
Loved the place! Amazing food. It shows how much she cares for her clients and her tradition. Thank you so much for the great service and long chat! Will definitly try #17 next time I visit ;) Food : 5/5
I have been to Thai Gardens a few times now and am consistently overwhelmed by the warmth and hospitality of Nita and her staff. The food is excellent, but the kindness and care is next level. Thank you for everything you do.
Very disappointed, after being up for almost 30 hours I was to tried to cook, super excited to go here. I ordered pad Thai with tofu and shrimp chips for myself, and beef dish with coconut rice for my bf. HOWEVER I opened the order when I got home and I had beef short ribs not pad Thai which I couldnt eat as I dont eat meat, my bf tried them and they were hard to chew. The shrimp chips were not shrimp chips just fried shrimp, peanut sauce didnt have much falvour. My BF rice was mush, and his beef dish was a little on the wet side and he said he wouldnt have it again. And it was to late to go back by the time we had opened the order. Overall I paid 56$, cried, went to bed very hungry.
We enjoyed a delicious pad Thai. The staff and owner were amazing!!
I got a #17 Pad Ped Nor Mai and spring rolls it was delicious! Really nice and spicy, I could tell it was made with fresh ingredients and spices! I did find it a bit expensive but otherwise it was great!
Dont know why this is rated 4 star, this place diserves to be 5 star, it has the best green curry Ive ever had, and the chicken pad Thai is to die for! The costumer service was great, and the owner has such funny stories to tell. Highly recommend this place.
Went to the Thai gardens for the first time, got some takeout, I loved it! The people who say its bland have no idea what they are saying! This is what I call authentic Thai food. Ill be back here soon!
Probably single-handedly the worst pad Thai I ve ever had in my life. All noodle, dry, no sauce and boiled chicken. May as well have eaten some cardboard.
Great little gem downtown pembroke! Never have had an issue with the food or staff!
Huge portions and great food. We tried two dishes, for sure going to work my way through the menu
Huge portions! Got my food delivered through Valley Eats and it arrived piping hot, fresh and delicious. Their coconut soup with mushrooms is my favorite. Very flavorful and they gave me 2 huge styrofoam cups of the soup which was extremely generous. I cant wait to try their other dishes.
One of my favourites in Pembroke. The restaurant is a hidden gem, tucked into a little single door entrance between two other shops. Their Pho is amazing, and my wife had her pick of anywhere to go for her birthday today and chose here for takeout. (Owner clearly cares about her customer base too and scolded me for not mentioning my wifes birthday over the phone )
Very good authentic Esan Thai. Very happy to find real Thai food. Owner very friendly and sweat.
Ive given this restaurant three tries with the benefit of the doubt and tonights experience was worst of all. Order Pad See-ew and got pad Thai. Noodles were so overcooked they were a mushy noodle slop. Beef was grizzly, tough, and overcooked. Sauce is pretty much ketchup. I never bother leaving bad reviews but I couldnt not in this case. Save your money.
Great food. So much and made fresh. I adore the owner. She is so kind and works hard
For a small town Very good and very tasty little slow but large portions
A cozy and beautiful restaurant filled with photos and articles about Thailand and the owners life. Every plate is prepared to order so everything comes out fresh and tastes great! I ve never had anything I didn t like, and Nita is one of the most giving people to the community that I know. Vegetarian options: Any dish can be vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available Parking: There is parking right out front Kid-friendliness: Colouring sheets and lots to look at in the restaurant for kids
We came in 40 minutes before closing and were even still eating when they closed. We received amazing customer service and she was even taught us how to make her recipes!! The food was amazing and the the portions were huge. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!!!
Food was Amazing!
Disappointing Pad Thai.... the noodles were all stick together. Blend...veggies almost none existent. I asked for a shrimp Pad thai and got a chicken Pad thai.
I love this spot. So much love goes into the food.
Simply amazing. Veggies are crisp and fresh!
I m new in town and am decidedly on team Thai Gardens!! We ordered a dinner for two and each of us had enough food for 2 days! It was yummy and the service and thoughtfulness Nita gave was above and beyond. When she learned we d be eating in the park she threw all kinds of plates, utensils, folded napkins, condiments and even hand sanitizer in a bag for us. It s my favourite Renfrew restaurant, see you next time!
Absolutely delicious!
Freshly made and very flavourful Thai food. Lots of very unique menu items Ive never seen elsewhere (duck red curry?!) And well made classic items. Very kind and friendly owner and staff. Id highly recommend trying this place. Portions are huge, so plan on having leftovers.
Im new to pembroke and thought I would order from Thai Garden. Some reason people rated this place pretty well so I took a chance. I ordered singapore noodles with shrimp. It was terrible. The shrimp was cook so much that it was super chew like rubber. The vegetables were I swear out of a frozen bag. Also the noodle werent that great either. The seasoning they used as well was bland and had no spice. Not worth 25 bucks at all. Next time Ill drive to the store and make the same thing for five dollars.
We ordered the shrimp fried rice and veggie curry. It was our first time there so we went with a safe choice, something hard to mess up. The food is bland and tasteless. The curry is not creamy as it should be. It basically has the consistency of water, not to mention the lack of taste. The fried rice is NOT FRIED. They used the same rice from the curry, for the fried rice, a simple white jasmine rice. We also ordered the shrimp spring rolls as appetizer. We did not see nor taste any shrimp. What a joke. This place is expensive and not representative of authentic Thai food whatsoever. Do yourself a favor and dont order dinner from here.
Good food Good Staff
Ordered the spicy chicken pad thai. And no point did it taste spicy even in the slightest. Portion was good, but sauce was not very good. Server seemed very new and uncomfortable. Waited 3 minutes with our food in front of us for her to come back to ask for silverware. They did win awards for their soup. Maybe try that instead.
Excellent food and very kind, welcoming customer service, highly recommend!
Thai Gardens is a staple in my household. At least once a month well order Pha-naeng with beef and Pad thai with chicken, mix some of the curry sauce into the pad thai and its literally the best dish in town. The serving of pad thai is enormous too. Though thats our classic order, weve also tried the following menu items, all delicious. Pho pia pak (chicken) Chicken satay Both chicken and beef gyoza (sauce comes already on the dumplings which isnt my personal fave but my husband loves them, and you get so many for a low price) Tom yum soup with tofu (a seriously perfect dish for fall, warmed me up from the inside) Pho noodle soup (not a typical pho dish, but since we dont have a Viet restaurant in town it definitely satisfies the craving. They add a tasty and spicy sauce on top, which I love but might not be to everyones taste) Gang Kaew Wan And weve also ordered a Dinner for 2 a while ago and it was also tasty and filling. Thai Gardens is one of my top 3 restaurants in Pembroke/Petawawa, definitely recommend. One day Ill remember to take photos but we usually just jump right in to eating.
Worst curry Ive EVER had. Literally the consistency of water, no flavor, just heat, and the rice was over cooked. Im extremely disappointed, This ended up in my trash as it was basically inedible.
Friendliest staff. Best Thai food outside of Thailand. Owner was very generous. Also one of the best homemade hot sauces tasted. If you are ever in Pembroke, you need to go here!
The service was great, the food was tasty, and the restaurant is nice. I recommend, and we had a visit from Pembroke s finest very eventful night! Thanks Thai Gardens
One of my favorite restraunts in town. Great food, cozy atmosphere... the owner is wonderful and goes above and beyond for you
Nita is the sweetest person and so friendly! The food was so good! And there was so much! I will definitely recommend to anyone!
The owner, Nita, is amazing and friendly! I had the Hot & Sour soup with shrimp and so delicious! Spring rolls were very yummy!
Ordered pad see-ew wife ordered pad thai through valley eats Pad thai noodles were dry and clumped together chicken was dry. Pad see-ew chicken was very dry. Will not order from there again.
We got the side ribs and pad thai and chicken spring rolls. The rolls were 5 dollers and came with 2 tiny rolls, tou can buy these exact ones for 10 dollars in a pack of 20. The ribs were burnt to a char, no flavour, barely even edible. Pretty sure they microwaved them. The pad thai was over cooked and flavorless. Dont eat here, save your money.
Incredibly disappointing food. If youre looking for something authentic, flavoured, or even enjoyable, then avoid. After reading the reviews, I was hoping for some decent thai food and paid the big bucks for delivery. Ended up with lumpy flavorless pad thai and paneng curry with 0 vegetables and a full block of tofu in each. Pretty sure the topping on the pad Thai was just crunchy peanut butter. I ended up tossing most of the food because it wasnt worth eating. Dont trust the other reviews. Food isnt even Thai Express level.
I was disappointed. I got take out; when I got home it wasnt what I ordered. And the soup was mostly noodles. The spring rolls were yummy though.
We ordered 80$ worth and we are Far from Picky . We each ate about 5 to 10 bited and threw the rest out. The fish cakes are mini frozen hockey pucks And the rive wraps are half a hot dog size and tasteless. The beef was tough the vhkn was dry amd the ahrimp was Wayyyy overcooked Worst meal weve ordered in 20 years. Sorry but trying to save you the worst apent money ever.
Best Thai food had so far in Canada. Authentic and flavorsome. The spice level was true to the Thai senses and was not watered down when asked. Basil chicken and tom yum soup were outstanding and worth dying for. Fresh Thai ingredients tempered to the fullest and native Thai chef certainly makes the big difference. Highly recommended!!
Do not pay attention to the negative reviews, this is AUTHENTIC Thai cuisine!! I have lived in Thailand, and you will literally have to travel there to find better. Nita is a fantastic cook and a wonderful human being. Try the laap salad and pad see euw. Ah-roy mahk! (very delicious)!
Nita runs a tiny but great restaurant. Weve been here quite a few times and have very much enjoyed the food and Nitas attentiveness.
The most authentic larb salad I tasted so far. Nitas Panang curry is spot on for my taste buds. This is the best Thai restaurant I have ever tried.
Great food
Amazing food and amazing service!
Sat down at noon for a quick lunch. Nobody at the front and lady in the back ignored me to play with her phone. After making eye contact no less. Too bad.... was hopeful this place had good food.
What a beautiful place! Food was AMAZING! Service was fantastic
Great food and friendly service
Huge portions of tasty food. No liquor licence.
Love this place. The food is excellent and well-priced. Nita (the owner) is hilarious, and you should trust her recommendations for what to order. The meal for two is a great option for date nights!
Best Thai food Ive ever had! The atmosphere is great and the lady that runs the place is very friendly and welcoming. Cant wait to go back!
The best Thai food and best service Ive ever had at any restaurant. I live 4 hours away and I would spend a day driving just to have the coconut soup. Cant wait to come back .
Great food.
Excellent service and better Thai food thats very reasonably priced. Love the green curry chicken and beef and the panang as well.
The owner is amazing. Totally made the dinner out with her friendliness. Felt like i was a long time freind.
Best mango salad I have ever had!!!
The Thai soup is to die for. Flavor packed with lots of a veggies and a little kick. Always fun eating here.
The tiny Thai place is right down town Pembroke. The lady who owns it seems to do everything. The food was excellent and inexpensive. Well worth a visit.
Food has no taste just boiled meat or chicken
Fantastic food and extremely friendly owner. We had a great dinner here and would go back in an instant if were ever in the area again.
Really good food and friendly service
Great food .very friendly lady
The food is really tasty! Everything is done by hand. The plates are huge and the prices very affordable. I highly recommend making the detour to come and try this little gem in Pembroke.
Delish! I had Pad Thai lunch special. I had leftovers. Such friendly service and great chit chat. She mentioned she will make up any dish to go or portion it for the freezer, to enjoy later. Her soup is to die for.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere,
So filling! Really authentic cuisine. Defently going again!
Nita is great!
