Good Asian food with good vegetarian options but their phone order / pickup sucks. Ive placed orders over 5 times and every single time they tell me 30 mins, I show up after 45 mins and then sit there for another 30-60 mins waiting for my order. Im pretty sure they dont start preparing the food until you get there. I would eat here way more often if their pickup ordering was good. They should also get on a delivery app.

I ordered 2 bowls of rare beef pho and a salad roll . $60 later. This is probably the most bland pho I ve ever eaten. The broth tasted like nothing. If I wanted warm water with noodles I would have made myself some Mr noodles . This is what i get ordering at a asian Restaurant .

Never recieved order. No call. No nothing. Will never order from them again. Waiting for dinner and it never showed up even when i called again and confirmed it was coming.

Ordered for delivery here at 630 said it would be here by 730/740 husband spoke to them at 720 to tel them where the buzzer is located it s hard to find for some drivers to as told they would call the driver and tell them insinuating the driver was on way with food still not here by 8 he called again no answer waited another twenty min still no food so he left to go get dinner somewhere else I m home and 830 man shows up with food and looked confused when I told him he s a hr late and I don t want the 120 bucks worth of food One would think if they were gonna be that late they woulda called Don t recommend

Nothing is typical about this place. While it can often be busy, its for good reason. The food is fresh and tasty. The dining room is kept very clean. Service is quick and friendly.

Both the service and food were bad and low in quantity. We placed an order over the phone and waited for 20 min despite being asked to be on time. Also the food quantity was not sufficient for even a single person contrary to what was told to us over the phone.

My sister and I had supper there on July 7th. Excellent Thai food. Great service. Definitely a go to in Penticton!! Of course we ordered way more than we could possibly eat but leftovers are fine by me

Food is great but there is absolutely no phone service so if you need to call for any reason you cant I asked why she told me they are busy enough with out phones also very expensive me and my wife pay 90 dollars for the two of us to eat food is the best Chinese food in penticton but your pocket will feel it I dont think I will be eating Chinese for a long time just nor worth it

Wor Wonton was great. Able to get two meals out of the chow mein and ss pork. Disappointed pop had a limit of one refill so chose not to purchase any. Food

Food taste was very good and quantities reasonable. Only issue I had was terrible service. Over an hour from ordering til we received our food and then Only as my wife asked another waitress (not ours). Diners who came in after us had received their meals. Definitely appeared that our order had been lost.

Amazing food

My brother in-law and I came in to order take out and ive never encountered such rude and disinterested staff in my life. The woman behind the bar wouldnt acknowledge us despite trying to politely make our intentions to order. I get everyone has bad days however ignoring simple manners and not being able to even say a simple thank you is unacceptable. The food was OK, not great not terrible but feeling like spending well over 100 is a nuisance to you is awful. Would not recommend and yall need an attitude adjustment

My Mom & I had the lunch special - chicken chow mein which came with a side of sweet & sour pork (or ginger beef). It was very flavourful, fresh, delicious, and large portions. The service was excellent. We ll definitely come here again.

The best Chinese food Ive eaten in a very long time. Ordered online for pickup. Super easy and super fresh. Worth the money. We got 5 different dishes for just under $100. I recommend everything we had including the breaded almond chicken (my fav) and the coconut prawns. Best Chinese in Penticton hands down

This place has incredible food, I will give credit where credit is due... However, on Mothers Day my family was extremely upset to have one of the worst experiences in a resturant. Our waitress failed to take our order properly and led to my Dad not even getting his order when the rest of the tables food arrived. Should I mention we waited 1hr 45min for the first plate to arrive? Maybe I should mention that our waitress did not come by and check in on us, that was up to the other staff noticing we were being neglected and checking in on us. The resturant was not runnning the AC and we had to exit the resturant multiple times to breath and cool off. We had to get up and ask for our bills and boxes after paitently waiting 15mins to give the waitress a chance to see that we were finished. Finally, after requesting our bills to be split, the waitress had no clue what we ordered and starting asking us what we ordered. This was a huge ordeal, leading to all of having to repeat over and over again what we had. In the end we did not get the bills split properly and gave in to just pay the way she had put it together and figure it out later. What shocked us the most ... they have limited high chairs, and my brothers almost 2 year old son was in a high chair. A mother comes over and literally says your sons not as small as mine so i would like to have the high chair. My brother didnt want to cause a scene and so he decided to give up the chair.. THIS IS EXTREMLEY UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR. This should have been handled by the resturant, with them explaining they didnt have enough high chairs for their customers before they sat down, or interviened when the lady was clearly taking matters into her own hands. What was supposed to be a wonderful Mothers Day Dinner, lead to an extremely frustrating and uncomfortable evening... DO BETTER!

The very best Asian restaurant Penticton has EVER had. Food is exceptional, fresh, hot and generous amounts. Staff is friendly and extremely efficient. The owner is always present and very professional, helps out wherever needed. The space itself is spotless. I noticed the menus being wiped down after each use, never ever witnessed that before. If you haven t been to this restaurant you are truly missing out.

Had dinner with friends, and at first appearance walking in, very clean, quiet, and relaxed atmosphere with great service. The food was amazing, and I have to say the best in the South Okanagan. Our meals came quickly, hot, and server was there to check on us and get whatever needed right away. I highly recommend going here, as you wont be disappointed. I will definitely return !!!!

First time visiting Wild Ginger. Pleasantly surprised. Food was great, cooked just the way I prefer. Service very good.....attentive and friendly. Restaurant was spotlessly clean, including the washroom. Has nice, sturdy chairs for those of us who dont do well with flimsy chairs or tight booths.

The place is new and modern and clean. The vegetables were done properly and the food was very good. Id recommend going to wild Ginger to take your family out or if youre going on a date. Nice family atmosphere.

If I could give more stars to this restaurant I absolutely would give them double. The food was amazing and the staff were wonderful. The food was incredible and the portions were fantastic. Dietary restrictions: I have many dietary restrictions and they accommodated me beautifully. I had no issues there. Parking: Good! Kid-friendliness: They were kind to the child that was with us.

First time for us and we chose it due to the great reviews. It certainly did not dissapoint! The food was fresh and delicious, we are looking forward to trying some of the other menu options next time we order

Best Chinese Food in the Okanagan

Very good experience. We were there as a party of 18 people. Service was wonderful... Food was amazing.... everything hot and perfectly done !! Just find the place is too lit up !! A bit softer lighting would be more comfortable..... ...thank you. Parking: Street parking..... hard to find a spot close... no handicap zone to be found. Kid-friendliness: Kids are very welcomed..... they also have high chairs !!

Wow, amazing. I honestly don t know where to start with wild ginger. The prices are amazing. The food is immaculate great customer service. Every time I come in there. It feels like home to me. One of my favourite restaurants.

Food is great and people are nice and friendly but the waiting time for the food is disaster we wait for 1 hour for our food to serve and the server told us that they where lots of take out and dine inn orders but maybe they adjust there manpower or anticipate the rush hour to serve better

We waited 40 min for our food. Owner was walking by, saw we didnt eat one of our dishes, asks the table beside us How is everything, and ignores us and continues on. Wont try again.

2hrs is a long wait to get the delivery,customer service is very poor and sizzling chicken doesn t taste good,never order again.

Hands down the best Asian / Chinese food I have had in a long time if not ever. Everything we ordered was delicious we had a feast of 10 items mostly your typical Chinese restaurant staples, I am however eagar to try the rest of the menu but definitely going to get the seasame chicken again! They where eager to cater to an unusual food allergy and everything was just so fresh and so good. 100% you should eat here! I will definitely be going back for seconds! Food is still great but if you order for pickup chances are youre going to wait so dont be afraid of showing up 5 to 10 min late. Especially if you are given an hour plus pickup window.

Ordered dinner online on new years day. Delivery was between 60-75 minutes. After waiting 90 minutes and still no food I called several times and no answer. Waited another 15 minutes and decided to try another restaraunt. Ordered, ate and then I finally recieved a call back and they kindly explained to me that they will not deliver dinner for 1. No sorry that our online ordering does not say this and u waited 2 hours. No nothing. Decent food but just lost my business

All of the food we ordered was delicious! However, it took over 2 hours to recieve via delivery on a Saturday night.

Pretty average. Some items are ok and some could really be better. They should use better quality rice to start with. At least the dishes were warm. New decor and feels like a nice place to eat dinner.

January 12, 2023 I have shellfish allergies and my daughter has Celiac Disease, we informed them but now my daughter is very sick. Im feeling unwell and really hope there wasnt cross contamination and that my daughter gets better! Google what happens with people who have Celiac Disease, shell be sick for awhile! Do better or dont say its GLUTEN-FREE Edit on Jan 17th, 2023... We called THAT DAY (Jan 12, 2023) and the server told us the kitchen was extremely busy and theyd call back in the evening, we have not received a phone call! We shouldnt have to call more than once for a mistake by your company, take care of it! FYI the server remembered us and said she did, when we called, as well as thanked us when we let her know our dietary needs when ordering. We came to this place due to the gluten-free options stated online. Dietary restrictions: Did not take into consideration when were told about Celiac! Dont chance it!

We love the food here. My husband had been looking for good ginger beef for years and now we go here specifically for it. We have enjoyed the almond chicken, pad thai, combos and wonton soup. We will keep going back Parking: Parking on the street. Free in the Winter

Very good food. Only complaint would be they served very cold coffee and when shown didnt offer to replace or discount as we couldnt drink it. Servers should be trained a little better in customer service.

Poor impression of Chinese food that does the country no justice. Its Westernized. Ginger beef tasted like over-fried bread without the meat or ginger. Washed in corn syrup. Its nothing like authentic and fresh as youd find in Vancouver. People posting reviews are locals who have clearly never been to Asia or know what authentic taste is. Chow mein was flavourless. Dumpling were fried too much and pork tasted like a processed hot dog. Very small. They dont carry gai lan or yu choy. Like from frozen. Id never waste my money here and I was embarrassed I took a family member. We split 1 lunch special dish, 1 wine and appetizer, $50. Too expensive. I can make much better at home. Server took drink order but didnt bring the drink or utensils with the meal. Got a glass of wine when we were almost finished eating.

We placed an order for takeout at 5:30 pm with a 45 min pick up time. We did not get our food until after 7:00 pm. That s more than 90 minutes. No compensation, complimentary anything for the excessive wait time. This restaurant has great food BUT they really need to work on their estimated pick up times. This is not the first time I ve had issues with this restaurant for take out.

Had the pho. The broth was ok but needed to be richer. The place was empty but the service was slow.

The food is great they were really busy inside. That I sat at the till waiting for my pick up for a while becuase they were so busy.

Ths place is good. Friendly people, nice, clean and bright place. The food is good. I havent had a bad meal here or one that didnt meet my expectations.

Food was decent. It wasnt spectacular but for the price point and the quality this is a solid bet. The plates are absolutely massive.

It s not often you can find a location that can do both a Red Thai Curry and a crispy Ginger Beef and do it well. The simple patio on main street to the large modern and open interior is where many Asian and Thai delights can be found.

Excellent fresh food. Singapore noodles are the bomb!

The garlic dry boneless pork wasnt lightly battered and it tasted greasy and no flavor. The ginger beef was good but the chicken chow mein was lukewarm and tasteless. The plum sauce and soya sauce were in packets on the table. It did not feel like a restaurant experience.

Good food good portions

War wonton tasted spoiled didnt eat anymore after one bite ended up throwing it way I dont recommend it . The Chicken Fried Rice was bland and mushy The Chicken Chow Mein was mediocre and edible . Almond Chicken was ok. Spending $90 on food here Definitely felt like wasted money and super disappointing. Not sure where to recommend good Chinese Food in Penticton but I know its absolutely not from here

Id give 3.5 stars. The average of food, service and atmosphere. The food. 5 stars sure, it was great, generous and delicious although my man said his noodles missed mint as hes had in most Thai restaurants. Atmosphere, 3, it was busy, it was nice layout and tidy. But not overly spectacular. Nice and new looking so that I can appreciate, now the service, was another story. Poor communication, the food came out after 45 minutes, and we ordered appetizers that came after our food. The waitresses were not approachable, and from my experience in restaurants it seems the kitchen and FOH doesnt have good command. An expeditor or manager would be organizing food properly, and communicating w guests if their order is long and also telling the kitchen whats going on. It feels like the team working to bring guests their food just isnt cooperating well. Thats too bad. Unfortunately Im not sure if I would waut again in house, but maybe I would get takeout as the food was the win here and thats the funny thing, good food doesnt mean good service. I hope this improves in the future, they deserve a happy team working together to suceed

Had a good meal here. Lots of choices on the menu and service was excellent. Everything from pho to Thai red curry. Portions are large, staff are efficient, simple decor.

Probably won t order again takeout from here again. My chicken chow mein tasted like nothing but sesame oil. Very disappointing, i couldn t even finish my food because the sesame oil flavour was too overwhelming.

Being coming to Penticton for years for a summer vacation and the Wild Ginger is by far the best restaurant we ve found! Wonderful friendly staff and the food is the best! Everything we tried was delicious! My new favorite place to eat went twice in three days. Fantastic!

The service was pretty slow despite it seeming like there was enough staff, from ordering, to food, to getting the bill. But the flavour is pretty authentic! And how would this one-eyed white guy know what authentic Asian cuisine tastes like, you ask? Well, I *did* watch Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon as a kid so I think Im a bit of an expert.

If you love Asian cuisine and are in Penticton then this restaurant has what your taste buds are looking for! Authenticity spiced, heart & body warming herbs and spices made my dishes complete. The Red Thai curry is spicy and warms the body whereas the Singapore Noodles made me dream of faraway countries. I highly recommend the tasty delicious experience to anyone who likes spice and good fresh food.

Had the chicken skewers and prawn appetizers as well as the Pad Thai. All were served quickly and piping hot. The restaurant is very clean and staff are pleasant and efficient. A nice addition to the dining choices in Penticton. It was constantly busy the whole time we were there which is a great endorsement for this restaurant and its staff.

Small portions, I ordered ginger seafood with vegetables and there was 2 prawns 1 scallop and a small piece of squid. The wontons are tiny. Wont be back. The vegetables were fresh. For the prices its not worth it Ill continue going to Lee better quality and you get what you pay for.

The food was delicious! Everything tasted fresh and distinct! The restaurant is cozy and clean. And the service was great! Will definitely be going again!

This is a great place for authentic killer Asian food. My first going and know doubt a regular stop everytime I come to Penticton. The pic is ginger beef and sesame chicken. Missing from the pic is my Thai Red chicken curry, just absolutely killer. And to top it off, all the ladies are so very attentive. I wish this restaurant all the best

First time I was there and it was excellent. The Ginger Beef was the best, but honestly it was all great. I have been off Chinese Food for a long time now since Foody Goody got busted and shut down when they found frozen dogs in their freezer. These guys use all fresh food, real beef and chicken too!

Amazing food! My partner and I got the Ginger beef, Singapore noodle and Pineapple fried rice. It was all dynamite! We will definitely be coming again, it was all so so good.

Best Chinese food in Penticton!!!

Great food, great people great atmosphere. I was a customer before working here part time. Not hooting our own horn but Darcy and his team in the kitchen never failed my palette. Kristine is awesome to work with, very down to earth and accommodating. My partners comment was that the food is made of love and you can taste how fresh everything is My favorite dishes are viet spring rolls, wor wonton, Mongolian beef and sizzling black bean beef. Delicious food! Like very good! The portions were big! We ordered three dishes for 2 people and have TONS of leftovers. Also the service was excellent. I made a reservation because we were a larger group and they were very accommodating over the phone and in person. Thank you for a great meal.

The best fried chicken wings and veggie chow mein that I have tasted in a long time (and that includes the Chinese restaurants I go to in New Westminster). My mom had the amazing Wor Wonton, the small size is huge! Relaxed atmosphere and great, friendly service. Worth going back to try all the other tasty things on the menu.

We decided to try Wild Ginger based on all the positive reviews. Absolutely the best Asian food I ve had in a very long time. Cooked to perfection and the dishes were hot and so flavorful. This place is HIGHLY recommended fo Great Food. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely love this place, it is hands down the best chinese food in penticton. The flavor of all of the dishes Ive had have been incredible, my favorite is probably the ginger beef and the house chow mein. Both worth a try, great place to eat and I love the memorial to the Elite which is dear to my heart is nice to see. Good stuff! Vegetarian options: Many options for vegetarians!

Excellent food. The beef pho is very good, and the broth is great. Beat salad rolls in penticton. Highly recommended
