Large portions of house made comfort food. Feel free to share a BC Bowl or even order al a carte, if you are not that hungry. Try our Fried Oatmeal with house made lemon curd and mixed berry - NUMMY! Can be made Vegan too!
We stopped in for lunch while our truck was in the shop. Yes, the prices are high, and for that reason, we would probably not return. We split a Rueben sandwich and each had a bowl of soup - both were delicious and we were both plenty full afterwards. Service was great although being at the end of their day, we were the only customers. Some of the very expensive breakfasts are marked as being shareable because of the size.
Shocked at the prices. $35 for an omelette? Yes, it is made with 5 eggs, but who needs to eat a 5 egg omelette. I ordered the French Toast with a side of sausages. How can anyone mess up French Toast? They can. No flavour and super hard. My significant other ordered blueberry pancakes. They were huge and full of blueberries BUT crunchy and hard. It was definitely not a good first time experience there, so we will definitely never be going back.
Good, but extremely expensive, $62 for two breakfast meals and coffees. I like to support local and small business, but it was a little steep. The portions were huge so not all disappointing, I would go back rather than giving my money to another food chain. You will not leave hungry and my coffee was always full so good service.
The portions were HUGE and the pan fried hashbrowns were absolutely amazing! My friend got the pancakes which were the size of the whole plate! Needless to say we all left very full and satisfied! Prices seem high but for the amount of food it was completely worth it.
I don't know why I've held off writing a review for so long because this is the place I met my soon to be husband and we revisit often when passing through. We love the small diner feel, the staff are always welcoming and sweet. The portions are HUGE and still are huge 4 years later. Honestly, the fact people complain about the food here blows my mind because it's the basis of a home cooked diner meal, and that's what I'm looking for when coming here. I think the prices are on par if not cheap for how much food they serve! It's exactly what you'd expect from a small town diner and i will always come back. I mean I may be biased because this place holds such a special place in my heart! Regardless of that, this is the perfect breakfast place! :) I'm also super thankful they have gluten free options - not a lot of places do!
Blech. Sorry Terry's this review ain't flattering. What happened over the years? I noticed you displayed "Best Awards" 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019. That is where it ends. You opened as Over Easy and then transformed into Terry's. You had lineups out the door. Amazing eggs, homemade sausages, fresh cut fried breakfast potato cubes, top shelf bacon and good bread. You had the highest price in town, but we didn't care! Because we forgot the price when we break fast with our first meal of the day. The picture (9am) below shows how you alienated your customer base when it used to be a half hour wait and 4 wait staff working the mayhem. Now your sausages were the lowest quality and just super salty. No more fresh crispy potatoes, but mushy cold congealed shredded. The farm eggs listed on the menu had a "N/A" sticker over them. Ohhhh, so sad. You still have the highest breakfast price in town though. I noticed no "Best" awards for a long time. I generally don't write bad reviews but you need to do better.
We ordered the B.C. breakfast bowl and the funky monkey pancakes. I decided to share the breakfast bowl "regular" size because me and my son weren't very hungry.I should've asked how big it was. Portion sizes are large. I guess that is why it cost $22. Both of us couldn't even eat half of it. They need to rename it the B.C.breakfast mixing bowl! Next time we will get the smaller size. The pancakes were "really good"my son says. Service was polite and friendly but on a relaxed speed. I will definitely go here again.
Maybe a little more pricier than other places and the meal wait time also a little longer, but in the end the lunch was well worth it. Burger had real cheese on it and the fries were hand cut and not pre salted by the cook. Will definitely go back and try the breakfast. Service was also friendly and efficient.
worst most expensive breakfast Ive ever had 70$ to feed me, my wife and kid breakfast food was not good and service not great would not recommend
Greatest breakfast and lunch spot in penticton home cooked food and large portions
Great food friendly servers no waiting.
Great service, great food, reasonably priced
I absolutely love going here they have amazing food! Service is great too thank you Karen!
I was looking forward to checking this place out sadly it was a really underwhelming experience. The food was OK, huge portions but I usually make better at home. Service was OK. Standard diner vibe. Price was crazy high.
Great food! Big portions! Clean and amazing service. Would come back again!!!
I just moved to Penticton and was looking for a nice go to spot for breakfast. The menu showed a $32 grand slam breakfast. I had to see what this was all about. Verdict...waaaaay overrated and waaaay over priced for what you received. Sure the pancakes were huge but pancakes were also the cheapest items to make. The food lacked flavour. Just a disappointing meal all around. With the options available in town, I highly doubt I would come back. Overpriced and under delivered, All in all, I could easily add items to a Dennys Lumberjack breakfast and it would still cost less and taste way better. Just felt like a lack of effort when it came to justifying quality and quantity. If you are going to charge $32 for something like this, wow us! But nope! Making plate sized pancakes the focal point of the meal is not going to warrant people to pay twice the price.
Insane prices for average food . No franchise fees to pay yet their prices are insanely expensive. Food
A cute little place with very nice staff, however overly priced for very mediocre food. The hashbrowns were cold as well.
Food was WAAAY overpriced . $75 for an omelet and an order of corn beef hash Both were tasteless even after s&p , ketchup and HP (tsp of HP in a plastic cup , not even a bottle to portion myself ) Service was quite slow Had to wait 40 mins for a coffee refill Sorry folks , wont be back
Food was really good, perfectly cooked rare over-easy eggs, felt like the prices for some stuff was crazy. You used to be able to get 1/2 size bowls, now youre forced to spend 30+ bucks on a big one.
4 of us stopped here for lunch and not one of us had a good meal, not sure what kind of sauce was on Eggs Benedict but it did not taste like Hollandaise and eggs yolks were hard. Someone ordered Fish and Chips and fish was very small pieces and over cooked and the fries were undercooked, worse they had ever had. A large amount of bad fries that looked impressive at first but were not! All in all was a waste of a lot of money for horrible food.
So cute abd quaint! The eggs bwnny is really good. Excellent service
Great place to go. Portions are huge. Friendly and fast service.
Excellent food, friendly staff and great service. Definitely a 5 star!
OMG. So much food. Very good though.
great food and wonderful service, always.
Such good food, Huge amounts and good prices!
Happy with the level of service but prices were high and potatoes were under cooked. The restaurant was not busy on a late Sunday morning and I think it s the prices.
Great service , pancakes a bit dry , big portions
We ordered the Grandpa breakfast platter to share and we were really disappointed in the quality of food. The pancakes, bacon and sausage were burned while the hash browns were grey, mushy and very bland. The ham slices were super dry. The only redeeming items were the eggs which were cooked to an almost perfect over-easy. The server was nice but the entire restaurant was empty almost the whole time we were there, which I consider to be a bad sign at breakfast time.
Massive, sharable breakfasts!!!
Execrllent food, huge portions, a bit pricey but well worth it. I had the Victorian Eggs Benedict last time, and it was done to perfection!! Belgian waffles are on the menu for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this breakfast and lunch diner to anyone. Great cozy atmosphere for families or even single diners!!l8
Our experience at Terrys Comfort Food with Attitude was unfortunately disappointing. It was our first time visiting, and we were looking forward to a hearty breakfast. However, the meal fell short of our expectations. We ordered the scrambled eggs with shredded home fries, toast, and coffee. Surprisingly, the breakfast lacked any meat inclusion, which was unexpected for the price point of nearly $16.00 per person. Moreover, the scrambled eggs were served more like an omelet and thinly cut, which deviated from the standard scrambled eggs preparation we anticipated. When we raised our concerns, we were informed that this was how they served scrambled eggs, which left us puzzled. It might be beneficial for the establishment to revisit the definition of scrambled eggs, as it differed significantly from what were accustomed to. The total bill, including tip, came to $44.87 for two people, which felt excessive for the quality and portion size we received. Regrettably, this experience has led us to conclude that its unlikely well return. We had hoped for a more satisfying breakfast experience given the reputation, but unfortunately, this fell short of our expectations. Overall, our first visit to Terrys Comfort Food with Attitude was underwhelming, and we wont be revisiting.
Always a great experience, servers are wonderful and the food is delicious.
This Place used to be better 15 years ago when it was Over Easy when the 2 Gentlemen owned it , I loved it , would come every weekend , 2 times a week , used to be the best place in town for breakfast or lunch after they changed hands and let their aunt and uncle buy this place , I watched it slowly go downhill , at first they kept the same menu , then slowly altered a few items but generally left it the same ! the food portions gradually got smaller , the prices gradually got higher , The Twin waitresses Carry and Karen are awesome ! they make the place ! seems like lots of the other staff have left , they seem like they cannot keep staff for very long years ago I would of given this 5 stars
This place used to be our go to, but we will not be back. The menu prices were shocking at how high they were. & the food is not worth the price. Save yourself (and your wallet) the hassle and go anywhere else in town.
Had heard good things about Terry s. But boy what a disappointment. Very expensive. This place needs an overhaul to charge as much as they do
A bit of a strange menu, Ive never seen a breakfast menu with items for $35! As someone else said dont have a heart attack. But kidding aside there is affordable items and its very good.
This place closes at 1pm most days even though they say two The servers are pretty rude about it Food is average Bathrooms are below average Price is average
Huge portions fair price, and you get what you ordered. Eggs were done perfectly
Food was there fast. Cooked great. Good quality and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend to anybody
So much food on plate, couldnt eat it all. Tasted amazing! Food
Ordered the grandpa breakfast was so good
Great food and service
Not great food, and it was quite expensive !!! Wont be back again for a while. Sort of a disappointment for the cost !!!
Great breakfast thank you Terrys. Really quaint little place to eat with a very nice view. Great friendly staff. Clean and relaxing. #supportcanadiantravel #supportBC
The staff are very nice, the food is great and resonably priced. Thank you Terrys for the great service and great portions.
Unbelievably overpriced. Had the Ham and cheese omelette and Hash-browns. Both dry and tasteless. Three people, breakfast with coffees. $80 + are you kidding me ? On the plus side our waitress was very nice.
Terrible breakfast. Super expensive.
It is jus over priced for what it is. Food is o.k. Not great but average. My big problem is the prices are just greedy for what you get. If you are going to charge 28.00 for an omelette you better be able to knock it out of the park. if you charge 14.00 for an egg on an English muffin it should at least be good. The prices are too much for what they offer. When you can get a better breakfast sandwich from a fast food place. I could get a steak dinner for the cost of their turkey club.
Nice easy breakfest
This place is super over priced for mediocre food. 68$ for me and my wife to have breakfast.
This spot severs you a plate full. Good old down-home breakfasts.
Not much to look at. Reminded me of my moms kitchen as a kid. Ah, but the food and service was top notch. Very friendly place and great comfort food as well as some very creative breakfast meals. Dont miss it. Ps. Share the meal the potions are huge Food
Since 2009 Terrys Comfort Food With Attitude has been an old school, cool school icon for great breakfasts & lunches. A personal favourite for hearty, great quality home cooked meals in the Okanagan. Always warm service and delicious food! It s a nostalgic, home style diner in the heart of wine country a place that will always remind you of home when exploring our beautiful nation.
Always a great meal plus leftovers!
Every Breakfast was awesome Especially the Victorian Benny. Parking: Lots of parking
This place is great for it all. Good food, great people. Been coming here for years and love it every time.
I d eat here again
Prices have gone up and the service has gone down. We sat at our seat for 25 minutes before the waitress gave us a menu, and the restaurant was 1/4 full. When the food finally came, one of my over easy eggs was broken and fryed hard. My wife ordered the coconut pancakes, they were definitely not the same as they were before COVID, she couldnt finish them. Well never be back there again. Oh and the prices have gone up a lot also.
Expensive, but great food and great service
A quick breakfast here was fast and good value. The sad French toast could use a touch more flavouring, maybe vanilla and cream. But overall, good.
Cheap sausages, cheap bacon way overpriced for what you get
Amazing scratch kitchen.
Great food and great service. Huge pancakes.
Had eggs bent and did not like the hollandaise sauce tasted different than anything Ive ever tasted and I thought it was over priced
Its an ok place. Found it very overpriced for what they offer and what you get.
Super size breakfasts. Just barely ate it all. Taste good too.
This place is the best breakfast spot around. Best omletes Ive ever had. The whole staff is super nice. 10 stars Food : 5/5
Had an awesome breakfast here. Loved it.
First time here and I will be back. Great food, great service.
Really enjoyed our meal.
Kids love the waffles.
Absolute tourist trap of a restaurant. Prices are astronomical and food is mediocre. Very typical greasy spoon, unseasoned-food style diner. The big portions may be true, but its big portions of the cheapest component of the meal - think lots of potatoes or lots of pancake. Nobody needs to be charging upwards of $30 for a plate of breakfast that $12 gets you anywhere else. Save your money and support another local business. Paid $26.50 for a chorizo eggs benny that was literally just salsa, half a butterflied chorizo sausage and a smidge of flavourless hollandaise. They have sandwiches on the menu for $27+. Prices have gone way up since previous menu photos were posted 4 months ago. Aside from the bland, sub-par meal, our server was quite nice, however would have been nicer to see more than one server taking care of the whole restaurant. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free toast but thats about it
Long wait for overpriced (cold) food.
Great place to get a bite to eat with awesome food. Looking at the menu for the first time may give you a heart attack, but it s not that bad. The items that are more expensive are on the S menu: meant to be shared. Good food, great service.
If you want way overpriced, mediocre food you have to wait an hour for, this place is for you! I thought about having a Reuben, but it would ve set me back $27.99. Whaaat? After an interminable wait, my partner s eggs were cold. Nothing was delicious and comforting. Needless to say, we will not even think about returning.
Got some bread and it had mold on it, the first piece of toast felt a bit off eating but I thought because I got rye bread and I never do that it was just the taste of bread. NOPE. It was mold. Did not finsh my breakfast, felt sick by the end before I even notice the other toast pieces had mold. Would not recommend. It s over priced as it is, and they only took off a coffee on our bill.
Very expensive for what you get.
I hope to review this again one day. I went in and sat down. I immediately left due to sticker shock. The first few meals are all 30$ plus for breakfast. I left. Now I m scratching my head looking at google and they are shared meals. In tiny letters in the bottom. I would have eaten there if I wasn t bombarded with huge looking prices as the first thing I see.
Toast was burnt, hashbrowns were not cooked enough.
Took for ever to get drinks, food, or any item we requested. The food was not even worth the wait, the place is expensive for food that I can make better at home, disappointing, it was my first time there and I won t go back. Our server was lovely and she did her best.
Love there waffles with whipping cream, the staff was awesome food came out hot and fast great portions if u want to share with family or friends, or take home to eat later fresh food the only place Ive seen that everything is homemade from scratch food tastes awesome. I think this is the only diner that has been here the longest and is still open today. Ill def be going back there soon. There prices are great for the portions and how great the food tastes. There hamburger soup is excellent with crackers Kid-friendliness: The kids will love the funky monkey pancakes my grandson did its pancakes with bananas, ,peanut butter ,chocolate chips whipping cream
Delicious food and very welcoming staff
Food was terrible. Very overpriced. He got grandmas - scrambled eggs were flat and tasteless. Pancakes were so chewy he couldnt cut them with a knife. Potatoes were overcooked and bland. I got chorizo Benny- chorizo was cold and chewy. It was like they seared one side on the grill and took it off. Egg whites were runny. Hollandaise was flavorless. Another half a plate of bland potatoes - as if that makes up for the price. One single glass of orange juice was 5 dollars. One single can of nestea 3.49 - at least they offered a glass to pour it in. Handwritten receipts that dont have a description by the price. Server was great as always. Love her. Was very disappointed in the food. It used to be my favorite place to get breakfast. I dont expect to be back anytime soon.
The place could use a little sprucing up. But the food and service are absolutely amazing. Every order is very filling. You will not leave hungry. It is definitely worth every penny or should I say dollar nowadays? Lol Though I should mention that they do not close at 2:00. Their last call is 1:45 so theyre sign is misleading. Not very impressed with that.
Good breakfast spot could use a bit of an update ... but great people and good food
Awesome comfort food and staff Good options for celiacs (GF)
Best food in this area
Great place to find home cooked grub
A very unassuming greasy spoon with very large portions. Friendly, efficient service. We had French toast and pancakes with eggs and hash browns. Both dishes were delicious and plentiful.
Very friendly and fast service.
Good breakfast
Very odd menu and the server couldnt really help explain to us. Called an S share meals. Meal was good but $110 for 4 people with out a tip.
Great service. Huge portions. Sharing large portion could feed 5 people so beware. Me and my boyfriend had no idea. I will definitely be going back when Im in town again.
I have always had a nice breakfast and great service here! My kids love the pancakes with whipped cream and chocolate sauce! The portions are quite big so with young kids you could get away with splitting a dish.
Wonderful service, very clean and roomy restaurant. The food is excellent and generous portions for the price! Best breakfast and lunch!
The waitress was kind and helpful and the food is great
Great amount of served for each order!
Its a very cozy place with good people running it. They have a portion they call for sharing. It defiantly is for sharing.
The only thing my sick mother wanted for mothers day was breakfast from this restaurant. Her favorite is the Texan bowl off the menu but due to her condition its extremely difficult for her to leave her home. Super disappointed they refused to do takeout and the reason I was given is that it was mothers day. Doesnt make sense to me. The food is great but due to this experience its unlikely Ill return.
Great traditional breakfast spot, large servings, friendly service
Food tasted ok, a bit on the salty side. Not great quality for the price. Service was just ok. We got our order in fast but there was no quality check.
Had hi hopes. Wife and i both had steak and eggs. Over priced i think. Mine was decent. Wife was not chewable. Owner apologized and had another one made. Second one was equally bad. Owner would not acknowledge it. You would think they would not charge for the meal for a good review, good word and repeat business. Nope, said they had to charge 16 for potatoes and eggs. Screw them.
I remember when this business was first opened. It was stellar! Service was amazing, food was delicious, even if it was over proportioned. The service is still great. The same 2 ladies (I swear) have been there forever. They are incredible. The food has gone a little to the wayside though. My last meal there took 45+ minutes. The hashbrowns were almost raw, the hollandaise sauce tasted watery and like it was from a package and the toast was soggy. Another occasion, we overheard staff instructing others to stack the orders. Ugh. Just not the same
Excellent food and service. Would definitely recommended
This is a really cute little place to have breakfast. It was pretty busy on a Sunday morning so food took a while. It s nothing crazy fancy, but it s good. Might be a bit pricey.
Portions were MASSIVE! tasted Delicious, service was a bit on the slow side. But that really doesnt take away the greatness of it all
Great little hole in the wall breakfast place. Good sized portions, we shared a dish and it was more than enough for the two of us! Great breakfast selections. Spacious and friendly. Keep in mind, hours ate limited 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Friendly staff, lowkey atmosphere, amazing Benny s!
Small glitch in my order but the staff were kind and quick and made it right. Blueberry pancakes were divine! And the coffeee is gooooood! Service was superb! Portions are big. Well be back.
Food was good the fries were over cooked and a weird oil they use. Way way over priced though
The name says it all. Wonderful and huge omlette, couldnt finish it all. Very tasty and highly recommended!
Fantastic breakfast, they use excellent ingredients and it tastes delicious. Come hungry because you ll get lots. Definitely recommend if visiting Penticton
Terrys came recommended and someone had said that they had a six dollar breakfast or something. There is no such thing on their menu. Every item was over priced and our food was extra greasy. Our server was really lovely though. when we let our friend know that there is no six dollar breakfast, she responded that she was sure that there had been some time ago. The person I went with commented that the only thing for six dollars on this menu was an upgrade from regular cheese to feta cheese, lol
What an amazing restaurant in the heart of pentiction. Love the options on the menu. The food is definitely very comforting. Reminds me of home. Welcoming and caring staff members..
Terry s food is always good but the portions sizes are huge. Too big in fact -it would be nice to have a smaller portions available.
Went to this place with the family it was a great little place with friendly staff and a chef that cooked our little girl a special pancake thank you all for a great experience and the amazing food.
Always a good place to stop! The food is still as good as it was the first time I was here 10 years ago and the staff just as lovely Good, solid, diner style food
Consistently good food and service. A gentle yet cheerful morning atmosphere. The coffee keeps coming and the servers are helpful without hovering.
The food was extremely bland, and expensive. The hash browns were terrible (is that even possible?) My omelet was tasteless, and it took us over 40 minutes to get our food. There were so many flies flying around and landing on our table, and on our food, that it was ridiculous. Other tables around us were complaining about the flies also. When we politely mentioned the flies as we paid our overpriced bill, the woman at the counter replied, well, its fly season; its like that everywhere (really?!?) We have not experienced this fly conundrum in any other restaurants!
Best place in Penticton for breakfast in my opinion. Had the cheese and mushroom omelette which was excellent with chunky tasty potatoes. This restaurant has a very nice ambience! Definitely would go there again!
I love diners and let me tell ya: this is a hell of a diner!! I didn t get the attitude and I m fine without it.
After a poor experience down the street at shades on main, we headed over to terrys where, as usual, the service was exceptional, the staff were friendly, and the food was fantastic. The portions were out of this world, and I love to support local. Great vibe, and awesome atmosphere. The kids loved it too. Great Job. Would recommend.
What a wonderful place for brunch! Delicious and our plates were full. So full, we had to have a container to take home. The waitresses were friendly and always there with the coffee pot. Wallet-friendly prices. Cant wait to go again.
Awes9me sandwiches
Big menu. Good food. A couple of reasonably priced options. A lot of expensive options.
Very good had one of the best meals ever there.
A bit pricey for nothing spectacular. Poached eggs were way over done and bland hollandaise.
Always the best breakfast in town....
I have to agree with most comments that the prices are overinflated. $28 small tip included, for bacon & eggs with hashbrowns. They dont even garnish the plate with anything. Dont they read the comments!... People are very generous on rating, even though the price complaints.
If youre hungry this is the place for breakfast. And sunny smiles from the serves if youre having a grumpy morning
Probably one of the best breakfast places in okanagan. Food is really good.
Expensive for poor food quality and lack of care on the preparation of my club house won t be going back!
This place has become one of the most expensive brunch places that Ive ever been to, and NOT worth it. Ordered A Club House and Fries, took a couple of bites and wondered why so dry. Opened it up and found that it was bearly buttered let alone no mayo. The turkey on it was two thin slices of processed Deli slices and some bacon and thick slices of tomatos, thats it. They tried to make that brunch worth the $25 by giving me a mountain of so so fries. Ive been there a handful of times but no more. In my opinion differentiately not worth it.
Absolutely good food
Our dining in experience here at Terrys was excellent. Nothing fancy but if you want wholesome food that sticks to your ribs, Terrys is the place to eat in Penticton, BC for the family dining experience. Service is quick and our server Kerey was cheerful and looked after us very well. We will be back to eat when we are next in Penticton, BC. Vegetarian options: Very tasty veggie options. The food is full flavored and not overly seasoned.
Service was great however my meal was terrible..burnt potatoes and the rest of the breakfast bowl had a lot of salty bacon and a spoonfull of transparent crepe-like egg ( menu says scramble eggs) It was like the egg scrape of the edge of a frying pan. Too overpriced! No breakfast for 2 people should cost $68.
Extremely expensive would not return
I went after work and had a full meal, very filling. Eggs, pancakes, bacon, ham, raisin toast and hashbrowns. Coffee to drink with refills when wanted, very comfortable, no pressure, atmosphere within. I definitely recommend them. Parking: Depending on the time you arrive there may be ample parking as the restaurant hours dont conflict with other businesses nearby.
Good food but crazy expensive. Our server was awesome!!!
The server (owner?) Was super helpful picking gluten free breakfast. Would probably not get scrambled eggs again - very dry.
Amazing breakfast, scrumptious too! Portions are huge!!
It was amazing. The food the service amazing. It was a great start to our anniversary.
These meals are HUGE!!! ordered the Tex breakfast bowl and was not let down! Great meals for way less than you would expect. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, 10*
Nice breakfast after kayak. Wonderful service and as always fantastic portions
Good service but thats all. Cheap sausages almost tasted watered down. Pancakes flavorlous but suppose to be buttermilk with cheap corn syrup. Hashbrowns from hydrated dryed potatoe shavings also with no flavor. Coffee had burnt flavor. Eggs were well cooked. Expensive for the quality of food, I get the same meal elsewhere for 14$ but here it was 21$. 3$ for the burnt flavor coffee. Ive been working various different cuisines for 22 years. Not impressed with this experience. Wont be returning and I advise if you have a taste for good food its not the place to go. I suggest you order from a different supplier (chef).
AMAZING IS ALL I CAN SAY!!
Take out was great, super good value and great tasting food
Awesome
Huge portions for a great price, friendly staff, classic diner vibes. 100% would recommend.
The breakfast for my two kids was a great size. My breakfast bowl(regular size) was absolutely massive and completely delicious. My wifes omelet was also massive and very well made. Everything on everyplate was delicious. 10/10 would go here again. Slightly on the pricier side for breakfast but considering the quality and quantity of food is extremely worth the couple extra bucks.
It was absolutely amazing!!! The food was fantastic and well worth the price. You get food mountains. Its delicious, total comfort food. The staff is amazing and seem to really care about eachother as well. Looks like an awesome place to work, and its an even better place to eat.
Nice little restaurant, pretty popular. But its worth the wait.
Got great attitude from my service.
Great place to over pay for breakfast! Ive NEVER felt so ripped off. Food was just ok, but at $50 for 2 people to have breakfast?? Thats nuts. I will NEVER go back and I live here in Penticton. Mc Donalds is better.
Large portion sizes, my pancakes were bigger than my head. Amazing would recommend this diner to anyone looking for a hearty meal!!!
Food is overpriced/overrated. Staff was super friendly though
Well deserving of its reviews on Google. While the pancakes were nothing to note. The hashbrown bowls were large and delicious. I would definitely recommend them for anyone because they are still quite delicious reheated if you have leftovers!
Food was great and the service was absolutely wonderful!!! Terry herself helped serve our table as she was training a new employee. She created such a positive atmosphere as she thanked her customers for their business and praised her kitchen staff for their hard work. I have already recommended this restaurant to friends and family and I will continue to do so! Definitely heading back there when I visit the interior again :).
Large portions great breakfast
Too much food!
Huge portions and friendly wait staff.
Great food big portions I was full I couldn t eat anymore and I had leftovers I got a cheeseburger it s a bit pricey just wasn t enough toppings/sauce that came with it but still the best place for food!
Great food! Great sized servings! Left happy and full!
Been here twice and disappointed both times. Quite expensive here too
Did an order for pickup this morning. The menu on Google says that the meal was $17 before tax and tip. The menu has not been updated on here so this was actually a wopping $28.88 before tip!!!! Thats like entree chicken dinner prices with a beer. So, the food is way overpriced. The quality is subpar. They use the typical cheap thin dry bacon and the Costco bulk sausages. The hashbrowns were cooked to a crisp so extremely dry and hard. For a premium price Id expect quality food. The service was awesome but thats about all that was good about this experience.
Always a great, very filling meal at Terrys!
Our first time here and the food was amazing, pancakes are fluffy, sausage has a nice snap to it, bacon is perfect, and the spicy hollandaise is just fantastic. Big portions are great for 2 or more people.
Owner is sure rude to a customer who has a mask exemption. There is no empathy there. I felt really embarrassed for this customer. The Government says they are to have compassion towards people and they wouldn t charge them a fine regarding this. As she said this is my business and I am not putting up with this ! Well I m sure customers who get treated this way will fine a restaurant who has great customer service and won t think twice of entering this establishment. This owner just might just want to remember who pays her bills.
Havent been here for a few years no change as then, good food, service, and portions
Awesome large portions.
Delicious and good service
Quaint little diner, large portions if that is your thing.
I pause to write this. I wish that it could be my secret place but to late for that I must share. Thanks for an excellent breakfast memory. Will see you soon.
This is my fav restaurant in town! Super tasty comfort food served in a relaxed, classic atmosphere.
Best cinnamon buns ever. Lovely stop in on our way through. This will definitely become a regular occurrence for us when we go by.
After being totally stunned by the menu prices and the couple of flies buzzing around the table we thought, Ill bet it will be real good at these prices we pulled the trigger and ordered from the menu that listed a cup of chili and a piece of toast for $16.99. We were looking forward to a comfort food breakfast but we were so completely disappointed. I ordered a couple of eggs, sausage links and well done hash browns with an English Muffin. The muffin was cold and did not include butter (I had to ask for butter and I wondered if I would be charged extra), the sausage tasted like cardboard and the hash browns were dry and undercooked. Bad rock and roll, blared from an equally bad radio in the kitchen, which was open. My friend ordered eggs Benedict on ciabatta, it was not toasted and had a very slim slice of tomato end that still contained the green stem. The hollandaise was cold, flavorless and her hash browns were dry and under cooked. The server seemed mildly apologetically friendly, the focus of the staff was primarily on getting the check paid. It was a $40 lesson, without coffee, in where to eat breakfast in Penticton. I overheard the manager tell the cook less is always more. In this case I would agree.
You better come hungry to Terry s. The breakfast was delicious, but a little bit pricey. Well worth the money though. You definitely get what you pay for. I ate my breakfast for lunch and dinner as well. Lol. You should get the half order if possible and you probably won t be able to finish a whole meal. The staff were alert and very friendly. I will definitely be going back for breakfast. Next time I am in the Penticton area. You should too. A+
Very pricey not all that good
Good food, big portions. Danny did a phenomenal job serving, always at the ready with a coffee top up. Never met Terry.
Was average for food but the prices were ridiculous. Not going back.
Great staff Great food.....
Great breakfast spot. Big portions, fresh ingredients.
Ordered a veggie burger takeout...stood inside the restaurant for over 10 minutes (I was acknowledged by the waitress when I walked in the door) while my order sat on the counter. The waitress served other tables coffee and brought them menus while my food order sat there - even the two cooks were looking at me confused and one even came out from the kitchen to see what she was doing...which was talking on the phone. My food was cold and soggy (thumb went through the bun when I picked it up - disgusting). Wasted over $20 for food that went in the garbage. Not a great way to treat a local who will no longer support your business.
Great food and business is very good home style cooking
Unfortunately the coffee is terrible. Time to invest in a new machine. There was a hint of salt. Server was wonderful, but run off her feet. Breakfast , I had The Hungry Man ham was great sausage average bacon good. The eggs and potatoes were fine. Due to coffee can not recommend this cafe
If you like lots of really poor quality food, then this is the place for you. Bottom of the bucket sisco systems frozen food here. And it s not cheap at all. The ladies serving us were very nice.
Huge portions!! You get what you pay for. The food was quick and tasty. I would go back for sure.
Good food!!!
My absolute go to breakfast place in Penticton. Portions are HUGE, delicious and service is friendly. I know I said generous portions but I am being literal. Potatoes are ACTUAL baked potatoe cubes of crispy perfection, pancakes that will feed multiple people and eggs cooked to your preference.
