Cannery Brewing in Penticton

Just bought a six pack of the Naramata Brown Ale! Its smooth and delicious, but my favorite part is that the lip of the cans were filed down to a razor sharp edge to force you to enjoy it in a glass. Next level thinking! But seriously, guys, the can edges are really sharp.

Visited Penticton and drank at the Cannery Brewery which had great beers. The hot food was provided by an amazing chef called Jack ManMan and it was to die for. My kids are now asking us to have Yakisoba noodles back home! Highly recommended!

Tristen poured our beer selections today. Conveniently located right close to downtown Penticton, this is a pretty funky place to come grab yourself a craft brew, and some snacks. In fact, tonight they re going to have live music so be sure to check their website for upcoming events. They ve been in this location since 2001, if you were a beer lover and are in the Penticton area, don t forget to try out cannery brewing.

We loved the outdoor area. The beers were great especially the newer Plum and Basil Blonde Ale and the Smoked Helles Lager. We really loved Jack Manmans food cart as well, the yakisoba was yummy!

Where do I even start.... You take a seat at the table, need to order at the bar and have to deposit a credit card. For every order you go up to the counter. Not like a restaurant and definitely not customer friendly the way they operate. You wouldnt go there with a group and each time go to the bar counter for another round. And as a German I didnt like the beer to be honest.

We had a Christmas party in the back room at the cannery. Kurtis and Max went above and beyond and made our event seamless and so much fun. This is our new favorite spot for events.

My bartender Kurtis was a boss. Totally legit all night. Did a killer job all night, I was barely out of beer, and he knew exactly what me and my buddy needed! Fantastic bartender, or beer tender! I highly recommend him, and the servers! But Kurtis was freaking awesome!

Great beer selection and friendly staff. We didn t get to check out the Backyard but enjoyed our time at the brewery. 5/13/2023: We finally made it to the Backyard - Fun atmosphere. We had a beer slushie which was very refreshing and fun wit the drink umbrella.

Great beer! I had the Italian pilsner and berry sour and both were really good. The food was good, not great. Small portion size for chicken sandwich (but quite good) and chips in the chips and salsa were more like pita chips. The nacho chips appeared to be tortilla chips based on what I saw from neighbouring tables. Also, everyone else was getting free popcorn when they were seated. I asked about it and they brought some but they disappeared by the time I returned to my table...maybe the wind, maybe table clearing. I asked the guy about it and he said must have been the wind. He didnt offer to bring me another bag... didnt bother asking again.

Such an awesome taproom. Both beer and service are really good. The food is up to par as well.

Love it here. Moved away 3 yrs ago. First night back in town and I ended up here.

Like Shay, we ordered the cheese meat and nut tray upon recommendation of the server. My wife had made clear to the server what we wanted. Disappointing is puting it mildly. Overpriced and very little product. We have ordered similar platters elsewhere for same price and received enough for two. I recognize it has local specialities but still one must provide reasonable amounts! Overall my comment would be over priced tourist trap. Decor and ambiance were very nice. Probably will not return.

Lots of beer choices, awesome place to visit in Penticton!

Large craft brewery. Street paid parking surrounds it. Indoor and outdoor seating. Attentive staff. Beer in different sizes including smaller glasses which is appreciated by those of us who dont drink a lot. A bit noisy gives design but better than many. Had the nut brown ale which I enjoyed. Wide range of products. Didnt try the food but would definitely come back.

Penticton has a fair amount of breweries, as we discovered on our last trip.. But this place was my favourite, the staff were excellent, the beers delicious and just a great vibe all around

Cannery Backyard is the greatest place in Penticton. Super chill, dog friendly, all the taps of the regular taproom. Amazing food trucks. Great staff. Easily the best brewery in the Okanagan.

The Cannery is my favorite spot to spend time with friends and family. Not only is the beer and food delicious, the staff are friendly and inviting. Kurtis Klinger, an assistant taproom manager, has an arsenal of dad jokes that will always put you in a good mood and is very helpful to his colleagues and customers of the brewery!

Excellent array of beverages offered at a very fair price. Great service, food, and decor/atmosphere. It was really hot today and we were here with our dog. Thankful for the dog friendly area on the north side of the restaurant/brewery. Great hotdog with peanut butter and pickles as an appetizer. Many more hot dog options that looked good as well.

Just the most pathetic looking charcuterie board Ive ever seen. $30 for a miniscule amount of meat and cheese that would leave even the most anorexic mouse still hungry. Beers are good.

It was amazing. Before coming I ve only heard about this place. So naturally while visiting Penticton I had to stop in. And with all the hype I was not disappointed. I highly recommend cannery brewing. Excellent food. Excellent beer.

What a great fun place! We enjoyed delicious food and drinks. The steamed buns were the best. The staff were very friendly esp. Max who welcomed us in and made sure we had an amazing time. We brought home some of their new Zombie Beer which is delicious. Recommend a visit.

No trip to Penticton is complete without a stop at the Cannery (or hopefully many stops). The food is delicious, the drinks are amazing, and the service (shout out to Kurtis and Max!) is always beyond outstanding.

We recently spent a few weeks working remotely in Pentiction and found ourselves at The Cannery most nights! A great local spot with delicious food, live music and awesome staff. We loved Kurtis and the team- they made us always look forward to heading to the Cannery for post-work drinks with friends :) Highly recommend if you re in the area!!

I m not one to normally share reviews. But the service was above and beyond what I think a restaurant should offer. A small mistake was made and the server and manager owned up to it how there ticket system printed a blank and they were trying to find the missing one (tops 15 mins)not even a long delay on a busy night But they way the server handled the situation making sure we both were happy and enjoying ourselves with our night out.We have been going here every time we visit from Vancouver and every time it s always amazing food beer and environment. But for them to make sure we still had an amazing time with out us even mentioning to anyone our food was taking a long time, that goes to show the amazing service they pride themselves on! Will always be a continuous customer

Consistently surprised by the creativity of the space and offerings. Good atmosphere, staff and everything is tasty.

Passports scanned properly at door, all Covid rules adhered to and mask rules followed. I have seen staff chase down people who dont wait to be scanned and check them. Two indoor serving areas, with weekly entertainment and their outdoor Backyard (seasonal) where various Food Trucks attend. All in all a very good Show. PS .... The various Beers, ales, stouts, and specials are excellent. Put this place on your Bucket List.

Its a nice brewery. The pretzel Bombs are excellent. Friendly Staff and a good table service system. They have floating staff proactively clearing tables and its always busy. The food is prompt, and it works well with the balance of order at the counter . The owner scans the floor and says hello to regulars and cares about people visiting. Bravo!

Havent been, would love to go some time though. Discovered their Maple Stout at the BCL... wow. Hands down, best stout Ive ever had. I like sweet and rich and creamy though, so if thats not your thing, you might not appreciate this beer as much as I do. However, I would still suggest trying it!

Best live music and venue I have been to in Penticton. The beer is also fantastic! Will be back every Sunday for the forseeable future

The Cannery is an institution Penticton is fortunate to have, even pre-craft beer boom. Max and the tasting room staff are great, pretzel bombs and chicken nachos are unreal and Sunday music is always a treat. Thanks Cannery for all the years of consistent quality brews.

Pretty place but the 30$ cheese and meat platter for 2 was basically a tiny sandwich for a child. It was literally less than 25 grams of each deli meat and tiny cheese samples. The spoon was a pinkie sized miniature plastic ones for perspective. Id skip that this dish if you are there to actually eat. May try other things in the future but this is a very expensive 200 gram sandwich. Perhaps rename it as small local selection for one.

What a place! The beer is amazing and the staff are super friendly. The backyard is a slice of paradise with little misters to cool you off. I can go on and on... Oh ya the Slushie Sunblink Berry Sour was phenomenal Indescribable the refreshment value is unmatched.

Amazing place with amazing beer. The food is delicious and well portioned. Every single one of the beers is outstanding. The sunblink berry sour is probably the best beer I have ever had and is a big reason for me to travel to Penticton. Highly recommend to everyone looking for a friendly, well run, local place to stop in.

Good beer, they havent had anything ground breaking in a while but their core beer is reliable. The Backyard is awesome, the rotating food trucks and environment is chill. Really my stars are indicative of the food trucks and The Backyard more than anything, but the Cannery has been a staple here for years and if your from out of town a great stop for sure.

They have great beer! I love the curry popcorn to start with. They have a great berry beer! I love selection of food and beer on tap! There is also a great dry cider! Great place to make a stop at!!

Delicious beer. However, the acoustics in this place are not great. Way too loud. I struggled with hearing the other people at my table.

A seriously good BC brewery! If you enjoy craft beer definitely check out the Cannery! all the beers were great and the brewers know what they are doing! Every server was great especially Max who remembered us over the weekend! Would go back again if we were ever in the area.

Cannery makes amazing beer. I have yet to try one i dont like. Tonight i also had chicken pot pie with a beet type sald. Very impressed. You cant go wrong here

My favourite brewery in Penticton. It can get a little busy, but like most places that are, very worth the wait.

Unfortunately only got to try one beer as the vibe was awful, the ladies today were quite unwelcoming. Especially the older lady who was quite rude to me. Its okay though, there are many other options around. Not returning.

I love the beer at cannery! Food here is perfect to pair with beer. Pretzel bombs are killer. I will be a long time loyal customer. I didnt like paying $18.50 for a 4 pack of pilsner. Even though it was fantastic beer I just felt a bit jabbed. No biggie I still love this place.

Ive been to almost all the breweries in Penticton and this one has by far the best beer.

An awesome experience all around. The beer is some of the best you can get in Penticton, and the food menu is far above what you would expect from a brewery. The staff are attentive and happy to give you recommendations on the beers. To me, Cannery Brewing is a must stop if you are in the area.

Great selection of beers available by the flight. Great sharing plates of food. We had the meat and cheese plate which is great for 2 people to share with something else. The veggie nachos were also delish.

Awesome place with great atmosphere! As soon as we were sat, we were greeted and given some of their house made popcorn. Awesome little salty snack to start with. My partner and I shared a flight and some pretzel bombs! The pretzels were super flavorful and delicious! The beer was brewed to perfection, I enjoyed it a lot. Tbh out of the four local BC ale trail breweries, this one has the best tasting beers! Will definitely come back to try the other taps and more food.

Fun, buzzing Patio with friendly and helpful staff. Really enjoyed sitting in the shade and loved the citra IPA they suggested. I didn t get them but the nachos looked UNBELIEVABLE! They were also selling oysters and popsicles so there was something for everyone :) .

We were really blown away by this place. The beer is a separate conversation and I ll leave those compliments to others. But the food really deserves a significant nod. We hadn t planned on eating here, but the food looked decent so we stayed. It was an unexpected foodie heaven. We had the farm fresh greens, cheese steak sandwiches, nachos and sliders sliders. Firstly, their serving the cheese steaks with a pickled fennel side. The farm fresh salad came with halloumi, stone fruit and sopresetto. The jalapeño sauce on the nachos will spoil you for all future nachos. My husband actually said he preferred his meal here to the Naramata Inn - which is a huge compliment. Serious nod to the kitchen and worth the visit.

Good beer selection, they also sell Poplar Grove cheeses. Backyard space is amazing.

This place has some of the most satisfying beer and food in Penticton. The seasonal beer selection is something you must explore. Do a flight or get a sleeve, you wont be disappointed. The pork belly sliders are delicious. Im looking forward to them adding pork belly nachos to the menu. PBN all day long!

When my Ottawa cousin asked where we should meet in Penticton I wanted to give she and her hubby a taste of what we have to offer. Cannery Brewing was a no-brainer. We can always depend on Pat and her crew to provide an exceptional customer experience. The craft beer are varied and delicious. There is a revolving selection supporting local wineries and cideries. Had a chance to check out the backyard at Cannery Brewing and was not disappointed. Great beer, food and staff make this a must visit for anyone new to town or visiting. They also facilitate musical acts on sunday nights! This place is never a bad idea!!

Sat outside, nice to sit under the umbrella. Great, friendly staff. Had about 12 beers on tap to choose from, 2 or 3 wines and 1 cider. Would return and recommend.

Stopped in here on our trip through Penticton. Super friendly staff, great atmosphere, delicious beers (we had 2 flights so we could try 8 of their beers) and also ordered the vegetarian nachos which were so yummy!

Great vibe, friendly staff, great beer options and good food. We, and what looked like every other table who sat down, ordered the nachos. They were recommended to us by the people we were staying with too. My beer flight was a great mix and as I said all the staff was super friendly.

Great ambience, spacey and well lit. A good selection of beers, but for those wishing to drink a little milk, look elsewhere. They are vehemently anti liquid dairy products and are unlikely to look fondly on any milk fanatics who stumble into their premises.

A nice place, good beers, friendly staff. I enjoyed myself here, light atmosphere brought a couple friendly conversations. I am not from here so want to hear where I should go. Jovial banter between servers and myself, bar service though I was checked on by staff multiple times in a friendly and engaging way. Thank you, Table service would be great!
