The environment is so comfortable, the desserts absolutely delicious and the coffee tastes delightful. The staff are exceptionally friendly and warm.

We were going to have brunch here and ordered 2 eggs Benny and two basic waffle plates for our kids and it was $110.00 after tax and before a tip, and no table service. We left and went to another restaurant and ordered the same meals and it was $86.00 Everyone was friendly and Im sure the food is great, but prices were too high for a family.

Love this place. Amazing healthy options, great service (seriously good). We had a breakfast sandwich and the breakfast plate. We will come here every time we come to, or through, Penticton.

Cute place for food and coffee. But prepare to wait for half an hour to place your order. They need to have a drinks only line, and since theres a hostess, dine in should be table service.

Seriously good! Had a little day out to Pentiction over the long weekend and decided to call in for brunch. It was nice and busy but we definitely felt seen immediately and taken care of. We chose a seat inside but wanted to change to outside, they were so accommodating. All the servers knew exactly what they were doing. I overheard one server asking a couple at a table if they wanted to move from their very sunny spot she could make it happen for them. Like? Wow. Then the food, the avocado toast was delicious, my hubby had the burrito and my daughter the waffles. So so good! Whatever you guys are doing don t change and keep it up! We can t wait to come back!

My wife and ai are in from out of town. They have some great, quick amd tasty meals with a kitchen and lots of selections as well as coffee and tea options. Strong recommendation for good quality and tasty food.

Such a cute shop! Delicious food with ample portions. A little more spendy than we had expected but worth it for the quality and quantity of tasty food. We split the artichoke hearts and giant pickle with our sandwiches and were super pleased.

A busy and popular place for weekend brunch. The Bench Market is a cafeteria style place where you order and pay at the counter then they bring the food to your table. The staff are all efficient and smiley to make this experience pleasant. The food quality is tasty.

Well. I came here for a change of the plain breakfast & this food was absolutely amazing. The sausage and eggs brunch had the best sausage and baked beans. Never had beans like that before. I have traveled all over Canada for work and love my breakfasts. My hats off to the Ladies here. Cheers and enjoy John

The staff are wonderful, polite and positive atmosphere.

Sausage and Eggs is only available on weekends and is amazing. Loved the slow cooked beans with caramelized onion that has, I think, pulled pork in it. The Bench Breakfast and Breakfast Burrito was stellar too. Cant go wrong. The turmeric latte and mocha was great. They have soy milk. Nice vibe with lots of outdoorsy people coming in. Takeaway sandwiches looked great if you want to bring on hike too.

I absolutely love going to The Bench Market. I may always spend more than Id like, but I always have the most fabulous time. Everything is artisan, top notch. Saturdays & Sundays are brunch, sometimes even holidays! Local cafe, beautiful patio, friendly staff, never regret this visit.

Vegetarian options: Totally vegan and gf options. Parking: Limited number of spaces out front. Kid-friendliness: Totally family friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: Completely accessible. Very friendly and helpful staff.

My first time there. The girl who helped me was friendly. I went on my lunch break from work. I ordered a BLT sandwich with no lettuce. I got a bit with no tomatoes and it had lettuce. Upsetting because its my lunch break and I cant go back. So now Im eating a bacon sandwich that is skimpy on the bacon. I found it to be a little expensive but was anxious to try this place. Very disappointing today. Update.... I called and spoke with the supervisor. She apologized and gave me credit for the correct sandwich the next time I go in. Which was very nice.

They re efficient, not quick - you ll wait in line, but the wait is worth it! The veggie bennie was delicious, as was everything else out party had. Would return!

Best eggs Benedict of my life! We came here because we were disappointed by our last visit to Wayne and Freda and wanted to try something else. Great choice. Iced mocha was so good and the ham Benedict was the best of my life, amazing. My wife had the burrito and it was very good as well. We will be coming back!

Excellent place to have breakfast/brunch. Very clean restaurant with a patio as well. We ordered Egg Benny and 2 Avacado Toasts, the food was delicious. Highly recommend you try out this gem, we found this place only on the last day of our trip, but would definately go again if we happen to be around the area. Kudos to the excellent and welcoming team. Good job guys !!!

We were back in Penticton for a couple of days and decided to visit our favorite breakfast place. It was still as good as ever.

I am visiting with my wife in our anniversary, and we stopped here for breakfast. It was nothing short of anazing

Super friendly staff. We came in 20 before closing time. We were still able to get a table, no problem. Food was superb. Quality price completely okay

Way over the top on covid b.s, still have the plexi glass barriers up that are proven to do nothing, traffic lights to come in the shop, covid is a flu bug, wake up! $27 for two lattes two muffins very expensive coffee shop.

May get a little hate for it. Food was great. Well played, tasted good and was fresh. Atmosphere was OK. Service and staff was awesome. The price for breakfast though. A little steep for what you get. Niche market for some of the food, but pricey.

So quaint, cozy, and stellar friendly service. The location is 10/10. Close to downtown but removed from the riff raff. The location makes this spot so special. Food is casual and lovely. Great mix of sweet treats and tons if savoury items.

My family and I went there and waited almost an hour, while the owner let multiple people behind us, go ahead of us. We witnessed the owner the entirety of our time in line, micro manage and aggressively follow around a girl in training . The food was subpar at best and over priced. We will not be back .

Great spot for some delicious and wholesome quick eats! A lot of different wraps, paninis and breakfast sandwiches (amongst other things). They also have a small grocery and other small items for sale. Recommend!

Their waffles on weekends are to die for! I would rate 10/10. We were quite disappointed they don t have any waffles or pancakes on weekdays though. The veggie eggs Benedict were also very good. And the grilled cheese was delicious!

First time here and it was great

Was not happy, with service. Waitress had blonde hair and brown pants she was working outside the patio very rude and not friendly, Made the whole trip unpleasant.

Unfortunately, we were treated with disrespect by one of the staff members here. Everyone else was accommodating. She just finished her break and saw that her coworkers had moved tables around which clearly irritated her, but instead of being professional about it and communicating with her coworkers, she lashed out on us. I hate to think it was some kind of discrimination because we were not her race since the people around us were treated very differently.

Terrible patio service. Felt really unwelcome and discriminated. All 12 of us will never come to this place again and wouldn t recommend this place to anyone with color.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. The server for the patio was very rude and gave us so much attitude. She was showing her frustrations with her coworkers to us for the seating arrangements. Everytime we asked for simple things like water, cutlery, etc she looked annoyed. It was a really hot day and some of us were already sitting under shade and the server took away our umbrella. I definitely don t recommend this place. Go somewhere else! There are lots of better places around.

Very good food, had the breakfast burrito with extra chicken - was absolutely delicious, most waiters are very helpful and cheerful. Would have given a five star, however one of the waitresses (a blonde girl) was extremely rude and angry, she was throwing a huge tantrum publicly and kept moving our table around to force us to sit in the torching sun because she had to arrange her patio her way and we were in her way. As a business owner myself, I personally think she is a liability to such an amazing business and is really damaging the restaurant s reputation.

A nice place to get some amazing brunch or even just some coffee or tea. They have a patio that you can bring your dog with you and they provide a bucket of water as well.

By far the best breakfast weve had while on vacation. The salmon Benny is absolutely UNREAL and the Bench Waffles are to die for. Will definitely come back next time we visit.

I ve been traveling with my wife for the past couple weeks throughout BC and this was by far the best breakfast we ve had. The smoked salmon benny was unreal, and the waffles were amazing. The atmosphere and service are also top notch which for us makes this a 5 star restaurant all day long.

My favorite place to visit.

Kept giving this place a chance, but every time I am there prices seem to go up, i understand the inflation times we are going through but it does not justify the prices, food portions or quality. Staff needs a course in hospitality. Also there is a useless small tiny table in the middle of the restaurant that is simply a waste of space and ruins the experience for anyone who is cursed enough to sit on it. Kindly use that table as fire wood. Cheers

We came here for breakfast/brunch, and got the salmon eggs benny, the bench breakfast plate, and the bench eggwich, and all loved our dishes. The service here was great too - it was quite busy but the owner did such a great job of managing the flow of guests and communicating the order process here to new guests. Overall a very good experience, and would definitely recommend dropping by.

Not only was the food delicious. But the ambiance is cool and hip. The greeter. Was probably the best part about the place. Kept everything in order and insured we knew how to order and the process of getting the food. I had the brunch special. Sausages beans and eggs. It was really delicious the place was clean. The washrooms are spotless. And it was a great day to sit outside with plenty of bike storage.

Absolutely worth the drive. My children loved the breakfast plate. I enjoyed the breakfast burrito and I also loved the cranberry bread. Amazing vegetarian choices. Very welcoming. Will be our stop every time we are in Pen.

Unfortunately, I cannot find much good to say about this place. We went after reading several good reviews and a seemingly impressive menu. We ordered and waited to be served, while enduring several irritating comments from the server. The food arrived and was so lackluster we were basically speechless, and the cappuccinos (they were NOT cappuccinos) were terrible. My boyfriends meal consisted of 2 cold hard boiled eggs (from the fridge), a bowl of mushy fruit, 2 strips of bacon, a piece of cheese and toast. We paid $22 just for that. I was horrified and we felt so ripped off and left still hungry and in a bad mood. Cannot recommend and am still mad about this.

Great food, organization could be a little better tho

My wife and I had the sunny morning plate here. It was perfect for us. The staff were kind enough to replace our toasts with hash browns upon request and they did not disappoint. Instead of hash browns they presented us with delicious (roasted?) potatoes and sweet potatoes. Even better! The patio was lively when we arrived and the inside had air conditioning for those who prefer to dine indoors in the summer months. When we return to Penticton, we will be eating breakfast here again. Enjoy!

Awesome foods for breakfast and lunch. Brunch on weekends. Healthy fare, fresh and a busy large patio with umbrellas if youre avoiding the sun. Its above the downtown restaurants. Great place to eat or meet up with others. Lots of cycling and hiking at the KVR, Kettle Valley Railway. Im embarrassed. I dont have any handy photos to share. Even though Im 3 doors down. Lots of unique exotic products inside. Incredible coffees etc...

Visiting from out of town and it was a great experience. The coffee is absolutely delicious! The host was very kind and efficient, making sure that everyone is taken care of. The food isn t cheap but the portions are good and the ingredients were high quality. Would definitely go back!

This is a cool, hip place to grab a coffee, snacks, and a meal. We got an iced caramel latte and an iced caramel macchiato along with 2 donuts a mega cookie. The donuts were delicious however the cookies tasted stale. The vibe of the outdoor patio is great. Wish they had more vegetarian options on their menu. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Honestly thought this place would be the bomb. I made a mistake coming here , looks good from the outside. Coffee was not that great 5$ for a cup full of foam and some espresso (supposed to be cappuccino) ,at least try some basic Latte Art. 2.50$ for a dry cookie made from recycled old pastries,aweful . I will not come back here sorry . Guys sorry for the review that s the vibe i got. This place is over rated and should up its game quickly.

We ate here a couple times while in Penticton and the food was good both times as well as the coffee. Very friendly service.

The atmosphere is great but it is too bad that the food was subpar. We ordered eggs benny, and everything was undercooked, the whites were runny and the potatoes were so undercooked that I had to use a knife to cut through them. I couldn t even eat them as they tasted raw. When I mentioned it to the host, he rolled his eyes and asked if we wanted fruit instead. Pish! But hey, the presentation was great.

Good tasty food & coffee

Unfortunately this was my first time and last. The young man at the til with the mask would barely speak and when asked a question shrugged his shoulders. I was approached outside after leaving by another customer that seen his bad attitude and was told this young man was always like this! I wont recommend a place that allows an employee to disrespect their customers.
