No one Never greeted when I am in and out. Taste and portion is not good compared to the price. Will Never visit again.

Some of the staff are providing great customer service and some not so much. I chalk it up to immaturity given how young most of the staff appears to be. Overall, customer service isnt as good as it was when they first opened.

The best London Fog I ve ever had and I ve tried London Fogs all over the world. Also the greatest breakfast sandwich ( The Bacon ) you can find - softest bread, perfectly cooked egg We don t live in Penticton but Wayne & Freda s will be an official must-do stop every time we come to visit!

A great place to stop and get a coffee and sandwich. I really enjoyed their braised beef sandwich and bacon breakfast sandwich. Lots of different treat options too! A little crowded seat wise, but a beautiful place nonetheless!

Cortado was good, sandwich was small and underwhelming for the price, music didn t fit with the design of the space.

Literally one of the best coffees I have ever had!!!

Only had cappuccino and a double espresso but they were amazing. Great that we could have our dog on the patio.

Very very busy place. Super cute, nice atmosphere and sweet story of their beginnings. Food and drink was delicious, just gets busier and with more noise as the day goes on. Constant line from about 9am on.

I tried to order a Caramel Macchiato, to which the woman replied saying that they couldnt make a Macchiato, but they could make me a Caramel Latte, which is quite literally an impossible statement. I ended up ordering a Vanilla Latte and it was average at best.

I ordered 2 sandwiches and a cup of tea which was cold. The sandwiches were mediocre, the beets leaked everwhere and I grow my own which taset better and over $15 each just for a simple white bread sandwich!!! An absolute total ripoff, it was $40 for two sandwiches.... unbelievably overpriced and poor quality. The first time I have been and it is most definitely the last. The tables are not even stable or the chairs, broken furniture, what an expensive joke this place is.

The hottest spot in Penticton for any meal before 4pm! Delicious coffee, pastries, sandwiches and smoothies. Dont be alarmed by a long line as it goes so quickly and there is no where else your coffee will taste so good! Bonus: pups are loved here.

Great, fast service on my morning cup of Early Grey Tea. They were busy and some tables sat uncleaned for a while to prioritize serving customers.

Super cool spot to enjoy a coffee or meal on their gorgeous patio. I am SUPER picky with my matcha (I like it unsweetened, high quality and strong) this place does it perfectly!! Highly recommend if you are a matcha lover (they offer an unsweetened version as well as a sweetened)

Went to check this place out late on a Sunday morning and boy was it packed. It came highly recommended by a friend who lives in Penticton and I have to say did not disappoint. The bacon breakfast sandwich was a little pricey but quite delicious and the Guatemalan coffee was quite flavorful. I would definitely come back next time Im in town.

Excellent coffee and very original bread in its preparation

As tourists in Penticton we discovered how difficult it is to find a cup of coffee and something to eat close to the beach. Wayne and Freda came as a pleasant surprise. Their menu is small but the food quality is good. Their coffee serving sizes are generous and the coffee is good.

Nice spot for a morning brew. Ive had stronger, better, cheaper coffee from a couple of shops in the valley, but the indoor/outdoor vibe, great music, comfy seating, and friendly staff make this a go-to spot for computing, relaxing or just people watching in their busy atmosphere.

The food is delicious. At morning time the line is usually long. The staff is hardworking in the pandemic reality and trying to organize the customers flow in a safe and respectful manner. So, thank you Wayne & Freda for the delicious and healthy breakfast we had at your sunny patio!

This is our new go-to coffee shop in town when we visit - good food, great coffee, nice vibes, friendly staff. Yes there s usually a line but they have about 6+ people at the bar most of the time so things move quickly. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Very nice place, large and busy for good reason. Great selection of both food and drinks, and a very large patio area if (like me) you want to sit out in the warm sun.

Amazing coffee and breakfast sandwiches

I am not one to ever write a review. However after ordering today, they completely forgot my order. I stood there waiting for 20minutes for my latte as I watched people who just ordered come and go. Not once had the 4-5 employees who were working asked me what I was waiting for. I had to approach them to ask where my drink was. I can understand if it s busy but when many people who come after me get all of their drinks before me, and I m just completely dismissed. That s bad service.

Best coffee in south okanagan

Best coffee in town, food is delicious but somewhat pricey. Vibrant atmosphere. Loved it and will be back. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp from and to the street so wheelchair and stroller accessibility is great.

Seriously, why do people go to Starbucks when this place is available? A little busy if you don t get there within the first hour but it is worth it. The outside patio is great in the sun and the traffic doesn t distract too much either. The food and drinks definitely fill that comfort food craving while being healthy. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps from the sidewalk go right to their front door :)

Used to be good , now it s just a place to be seen , not sure why, food is good , coffee is overpriced , service is cold / impatient/ rude. Inside is ok , outside is uncomfortable especially under the sea can .

Cafe and boutique with inside and outside seating for groups, small groups, pairs and singles. Theres a website for the cafe with the menu. Smoothies, bowls, sandwiches, hot and cold drinks and more. The boutique includes home goods, clothes, skincare, coffee table books, accessories, food, tinctures, toys and stationary. They also sell bags of coffee and coffee makers, chocolate, gummies, mugs and branded merchandise such as t-shirts and hats. The owners are an interior decorator and architect duo so its a lovely place to be and what they sell is quite nice. Great for gifts.

Breakfast sandwich was SOOOO GOOD! Only complaint is that I wanted more! Lol the bun was sooooo soft, egg was cooked just right with yummy runny yolk, cheese, bacon and SPROUTS! Im a big fan of sprouts! Definitely ordering that again! The shop attached has all sorts of funky stuff in it. And little birdies visiting on the patio. oh and good music playing when I walked in.

First Visit! 2 good friends 2 Chai teas Lots of friendly people & a super clean establishment both inside and out. Their gift shop is absolutely lovely with a little bit of everything. We will definitely be back. This is reminiscent of the sidewalk cafes we would go to in the Toronto area 30 years ago & enjoy so very much!

Now this is what a Coffee Shop should be, great coffee, even better cake, superb ambiance and buzz, we even enjoyed an impromptu dance routine provided by some of the customers, fantastic Thank you all. Certainly know where we ll be heading on our next visit to Penticton in a few weeks..

Delicious, fresh food. Pretty dang impressive.

Almost no outlets, they have the garage door open when its low 50s F and windy, and they do not replace soap / paper towels in bathrooms regularly. Otherwise could be very nice.

Unfriendly staff, unclean tables, cold coffee, dry baked goods. Not a good experience , I ve only been once before and it was the same experience, as a local will not go back again.

A good place to have breakfast

Grabbed breakfast on the way through and highly recommend this place to anyone. Delicious and healthy breakfast options. I didnt ask where they source food from but judging from the bright orange egg yolk in my breakfast sandwich, Im guessing its local and ethical. We also ordered a salmon toast which was lovely and the baked goods were tasty too.

Friendly staff, efficient service, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (shaded and sunny) and some tasty food and coffee. Not much in the way of vegetarian sandwich options, but the one they do have is delicious. No complaints.

Fun atmosphere! Close to the beach and downtown. Great coffee , and good food (I particularly like the breakfast sandwiches). Dont be in a rush though, takes a long time to get your order.

Got the salmon, it was as if the killed it a few minutes ago. Fresh and pristine as a fish could come. Highly recommend, every time I come to up this way I stop at this place

Good strong Americano. I had a tasty GF muffin that was a little on the sweet side.

We were looking for a coffee that was a break from your typical dark roast around these parts. Americano was top notch and the food was delicious.

The place is pleasant and offers a good location. However, it can get quite busy, which affects their ability to efficiently deliver orders. Unfortunately, the coffee falls below average and is not served hot. On the bright side, the food is delicious and satisfying. The staff, although appearing tired and unhappy, manages to provide decent service. Despite the drawbacks, the location itself is favorable.

Smoothies, and coffee were great, but the breakfast was amazing! The bread on the breakfast sandwich and salmon toast really stood out, it was so fresh, as was everything else. Good price for what you get, and it sets the bar very high for overall quality.

Simply put, they have really great sit down coffee. This is a place to wind down, take a seat and savour your breakfast or cup of joe. If you re in a hurry, head elsewhere. It can get quite busy which can affect the service quiality. Edit 2023: lots of new picnic table seating outstide. Nice place to meet others in the cycling comminity as well!

Great place to grab a coffee and get a bit of work done

First day we ordered cappuccino with oat milk , peppermint tea and tomato breakfast sandwich. Everything was perfect. Breakfast sandwiches was warm fresh and free range egg was very delicious. Didn t get a napkin which was fine. Service is not bad but just okay. I guess they are very busy and they were one of the few places open on Sunday. Atmosphere is very good. I think their food quality is very good. Healthy tasty and fresh! Today I ordered cappuccino with almond milk it didn t taste very good. A bit sour maybe I just don t like almond milk. Couldn t finish the coffee. Overall I would recommend this place. Location is very good.

Wayne & Freda is super modern and hip! The interior is unlike any other coffee shop, with its elevated design and cool colours. The wait in line and wait for the order was quite lengthy on both ends-- but it was well worth it! The pastries, sandwiches, and coffee are so good! They have a really nice spacious patio, that is perfect for the warmer months!

Coffee was great

Unfortunately this coffee shop relies solely on the aesthetics of the establishment and merch, not the quality of beverages. Our iced mocha coffee was ready in about 30 seconds. It definitely needed to be blended for at least twice as long. We had to chew each sip, leaving chunks of sugar in our teeth. Our large cup was also only filled up about 2/3rds of the way. It was especially disappointing considering the fact it cost over $7.

The visual appeal and attraction of the shop is the only thing this place has going on. My blended ice coffee had chunks of ice and sugar on the bottom along with a chalky texture as if hastily made. I was the only customer being served at the time, yet the staff seemed apathetic to my very existence.

Terrible customer service, and unwillingness to resolve their own mistakes. Disappointing

Wayne & Freda is a great place to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. Awesome atmosphere. Located in a prime location with parking close by. I usually grab an iced Americano and a sandwich or salad. It can get busy during lunch hour so go early or prepare to wait to order and receive food. I was happy to see they ve added a shop where they sell their awesome hard goods. Grab a bag of beans to go and enjoy their roasts at home!

Solid coffee spot!

Was looking for a dog friendly place to eat in Penticton. Was out walking and just stumbled across this massive patio and had to stop in. Latte was to die for - bacon breakfast was good but inconsistent. No one asked how we wanted eggs cooked one was medium and one was soft and runny. Very little Interaction with staff, they took our order we picked up drinks and someone just dropped off food. No real complaints- nothing impressed me but no complaints. Jasper was happy.

Loads of selections, with great coffee & smoothies. Vibe of the place was great as well and the staff was super nice too!

Had a cappuccino which was great but really put off my the gum chewing counter girl. Non stop chewing and turning this green/ blue blob with her tongue. Last thing I wanted to see and especially not when I was planning to eat. Killed my appetite so cannot comment on the food.

Great sandwiches and drink selection. The sandwiches aren t huge. They re better for one person than for sharing, but they are very tasty and use great ingredients. I had a tough time choosing as many were very appealing. A lot of places add a weird spin to a sandwich but these were all great.

I love this cafe. The staff are always lovely. The coffee is in my opinion best in town (I love getting a nice iced americano). Their breakfast sandwiches are top notch and the short rib sandwich is a personal fave. It can get busy but I like the lovely atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend.

Too expensive for what you get. And if you want oat milk or something in your coffee, dont even bother asking the lady making coffee, go stand in line AGAIN for a splash of milk, then the woman behind the counter walks over to the barista making coffee, gets the oat milk from her and adds it to your drink. 2 cards for 16 bucks... place is a fancy rip off

This is a really cool place in a great location. The coffee is really good but the food we found a bit bland. It was definitely very expensive for what you get in our opinion. The little shop attached to it is really cool - lots of great stuff in there. The patio is very large so we ve never had an issue finding somewhere to sit. Overall, it was really good but could be elevated to the next level with some better food.

Wayne & Frida, where the food is decent, the wait times could rival tectonic shift, and the staffs aloofness is practically an art form. Its a head-scratcher how this place has a cult following for being so brilliantly ordinary.

Terrific experience. They know their coffee. Good baked items and smoothies in a hip open air space. Plenty of shade.

I m sorry I can t share any pictures- we were enjoying a tech free Sunday morning in Penticton, before heading home from a week of peaceful travel. If you a chance DO your body a favour and stop in for a very scrumptious bite at Wayne & Freda s. I loved the Spring Toast ( with an added egg for protein) so fresh, crunchy radishes and cucumbers over avo all served on a grainy slice of toast yummmy! My husband enjoyed a Banh mi with Chicken, and pickled veggies - both were enjoyed with robust coffees - all if this alongside a great playlist to listen to and fabulous big bright friendly smiles of everyone working to make the morning fabulous! Thanks so much!

Been here a few times on our annual pilgrimage to Penticton. You cant go wrong. The food, no matter what you order, is outstanding. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. It doesnt disappoint. Love it here.
