Was sitting outside restaurant and watched one of their employees put up the new times (stickers) on the window and instead of throwing the backings from stickers into the garbage I watched her drop them all over the ground. I waited to see if she would go back to pick them or sweep them up and never did. Not sure I want to eat somewhere that their employees don’t even want to clean up after themselves and potentially harm the environment.
Their website shows they are closed at 11pm and can do an online ordering for pickup. I placed an order around 8:50 and picked the pickup time at 9:20. When me and my husband went there around 9:20 to pickup my order at Drive Thru. No one in there and seems they already cleaned up the kitchen. Then we went to the front door to keep on knocking the door for almost 10 mins. Finally a lady came out from inside, I told her I made an order online to be pickup at 9:20. I asked her how come no one in there then that lady told us they are closed because business slow. I asked her if they closed early then why their website still allowing customers to placing order. Why they didn’t change their website to stop customers ordering. It’s ridiculous. I paid for my order already because of business slow they closed. She returned back the money to me. But it’s a very bad experience for us. We never had this kind of experience before. Don’t trust their website.
Normally I love Popeyes but tonight not only did they try to sneak a bag charge on me when I told them I don't need a bag but the chicken looked undercooked and my burger had a weird taste. My wife says hers tasted weird too. I'm definitely put off of the Penticton store now. Used to go by a couple times a month but this experience really burned me. EDIT: Since I can't directly reply I'll add to my review. When I first made an order I used the drive through and when I saw she had added a bag charge I said it wasn't necessary. I have my own tray for take out - and I do not need a bag. She removed it from my order. Shortly after I left I got a call from my wife and she asked me to get an order for her as well. This time I went into the restaurant. Since I knew the total without the bag. When the cashier gave me the total even AFTER I told her I do NOT want a bag. I knew she had not removed the bag from the order. Again - I insisted I do not need a bag, please remove it from my order. Unfortunately due to the questionable taste and look of the food my wife only ate the fries. Oddly enough I have not gotten a bag charge from ANY other fast food restaurant in the Okanagan valley. Only yours. Not sure why that is. If you wish, next time I feel a craving for Popeye's I'll stop by and introduce myself and take you up on your offer. I'm hoping this was just a one off bad experience.
Went to Drivethru, ordered 12 chicken fingers (real breast filler), paid over $40. They were dry, cool (not cold) and just underwhelming. I've had Popeyes chicken elsewhere and they were awesome. No thanks

Popeye's Penticton introduced me to the brand. What an introduction it was. The crispiness of the chicken is complemented by the softness of the bun. Blending the two flavours together are, dare I say, buttered and toasted buns, layered with mayo? Unreal. The pickles on the lower half of the sandwich cut the richness of the fried chicken perfectly. While I am not one to hop on trends, it is clear why this fried chicken sandwich has become so popular. The Cajun fries, unlike fries from other fast food locations, hold up even when cold. The biscuits are somehow nostalgic, with a light saltiness and doughy, flaky interior. The chicken tenders... Well, the chicken tenders were reviewed by my 5 year old as "we should come back here."
I ordered a 5 piece spicy tender meal with fries and received 4 regular tenders not spicy, and rock solid cold fries the lady working was impatient and didn t care about getting my order right and there was trash all over the floor in the back from what I could see through the drive through (update) my chicken was stale on the outside and soggy in the middle the best part of the meal was my ranch and drink

Worst experience. The door is always closed. The place is poorly managed by kids after 6 pm with doors closed. We ordered online. Had to wait at the door for someone to show up after 15 mins of waiting then she asked us to go to drive through to pick up the orders. Another 15 mins wait for the line up of cars wanting to place order at the drive through

Very busy! App wouldnt work for transactions over $100. Locked right up and couldnt change order to decrease amount. Phoned order in. When we arrived had to wait our turn in line. They hadnt filled the order. Asked the counter person about the app problems. We were informed that they were not affiliated with the app. They could care less about the app problems.

Business hours state 11am-11pm. I placed an online order just before 10pm and paid in full, set to pick up at 10:15pm. When I arrived at 10:15pm and spoke to the worker she said they were closed and only there for cleaning purposes. I mentioned my order and asked how we can fix the problem, I was told there is nothing she can do. Long story short their hours don t match what is displayed online, and they took my money without giving me any food. Great way to waste $40 and my time. I m at a loss for words, not sure how this place is still open. Definitely won t be coming back and don t recommend anyone support this business. Food 6-7/10 Customer service 1/10 complete garbage Communication + professionalism 1/10

Same old, same old. Its just a way over priced chicken restaurant, if I wanted something that dry I dont have to pay that much, I could just go down to the beach and find a much more moist piece of driftwood bobbing around the shoreline and hey, Id even have a ton of leftovers for a latenight graze or for lunch the following day, again, for free! It was just too dry, too breaded, or too much breading for those who like things spoken the proper way. The pricing is way over the top here, youd have more fun making chicken at home and saving a ton of money, this place is just too overpriced for what you really get, think about your own order, the cost and what tou actually got for your money, well? Yeah, you see it now dont you? I didnt at first, but now I see the light.

Our chicken sandwiches were hot and fresh and very crispy. It was nearly empty at noon on Saturday so the service was quick and plenty of seating available.

This is my 1st time back after a bad experience about a year ago. Have to say I was once again disappointed. I ordered the family meal, which offers a choice of 10 chicken tenders or 10 pieces of chicken for the same price. I asked for 5 tenders and 5 pieces of chicken (suits all members of the family), Yet strangely, they were unable to accommodate. Im told it will be a max of a 10 min wait out front. After 20 mins I went inside to get my meal, which still wasnt ready, only for the bottom of the bag to fall out when it was, sending my food onto the floor - which they did correct. Wont be back to the Penticton franchise. The West Bank one is FAR friendlier and accommodating

Jan 15th 2024 This store isnt honoring this special deal that is advertised right to my email address AND on their ordering application. Imagine being apart of a franchise and not honoring what is being advertised by the company. What a waste of mine and my familys time. I wont be coming back here ever again.
I have loved Popeyes in the past, one of my favorite places. Was excited to try it here, but when I got my usually crispy chicken burger the batter was so saturated with grease I couldnt eat it... Havent gone back since, but maybe I just got a bad cook that day or the oil needed to be changed. Usually delicious Food

I can now see why people like Popeyes after having a classic chicken sandwich. The breading is pretty amazing for fast food - very crispy, thick but still very light. The meal was good but a little pricey.

We have always loved Popeyes, however our last experience, not so good. We arrived and the restaurant part was closed do to staff shortage. Unfortunately this is happening everywhere. No big deal, we went through the drive through. But, we get to the speaker & the debt machine is down. We had some cash so we ordered. We ordered 1/2 regular 1/2 spicy 12 peice chicken. We get home & you cant tell spicy from regular. Very disappointing! Im not sure what happened but we love spicy. We where really looking forward to it. I truly hope the next time we go there is some spicy heat. I hope you fix the problems. We love Popeyes! Wheelchair accessibility: Not so good.

This location was my first introduction to Popeyes and it did not disappoint. Staff were friendly, service was fast, and the food was on point. Popeyes might just be my new favourite option for fast food.
Seems that everytime we go to popeyes there is always something wrong with our order. This time we got wrong drinks and a missing item. At least the items we did receive tasted good. It didnt even look that busy in the drive-thru as there was only one car behind us. I keep giving this business more chances but keep continuously being let down.

Waited almost 20 minutes at the speaker without any assistance, then waited at the window for another 20 minutes just to have them forgot half of our order and no receipt also guy at the window had to walk to the front of the restaurant to grab me a $10 bill and a loony. Visited Saturday June 10 at 8:30 pm and was very unhappy with my experience. Waited a long time to order and be helped at the window. The service from the workers was quite rude and inconsiderate. Was not greeted in a positive fashion and didn t. Also didn t listen to the order and gave attitude when I questioned it. Would not recommend visiting this establishment.

what started out as a less than ideal experience ended quite good. When I first got my chicken it was cold and hard, I went back up to the counter to try and get them replaced for fresh ones, as my friend had just received steaming hot fresh from the fryer strips. The two ladies at the counter tried to gas light me in saying the strips were only 5 minutes old and that they would not be replacing them, so I went back to try a few others and to my dismay, they were also cold and hard. I was not happy. I put the strips back on the counter and said they can take these back as I won t be eating them. A few minutes later, like a shining knight, the cook comes out with 5 piping hot strips for me and an apology. Due to this man I will be back. I wish I had his name, but I applaud your customer service skills and I truly thank you. Awesome service by you! He s the man.

Went a couple times to try to get a honest opinion. Here it is. Staff and service is always friendly and prompt. But on 3 separate occasions food was undercooked or raw. So terribly disappointed about that. And the atmosphere is very poor every occasion Ive gone in an employee was sitting at a table (maybe just on a break) or talking ( definitely about things unrelated to work) to friends or family that were in the establishment and ignoring customers. To the employees that work hard they were great. But feel lots of employees have no concern for there employment or dont have repercussions or direction to correct the lack of customer satisfaction. And it reflects in the store and extremely on the food. (RAW FOOD) For those reasons I recommend you dont visit this restaurant.

This Popeyes location was worth the drive! The food was fresh, and they didnt cheap out with the servings. The whole facility was clean. Excellent customer service, very attentive. Highly recommend this location.
Came in at 9pm (2 hours before close) and they were making food to order as they didn t have anything under the heating lamp. Although fresh , it took around 20 minutes to get a total of 10 chicken tenders, half of which we realized were undercooked and pink when we got home. Of the 5 tenders per order, 4 were extremely thin. This is not the standard I ve experienced with Popeyes elsewhere.

Horrible drive thru. Every person in the drive thru is asked to pull to the side to wait. I was told 8 minutes for 3 chicken sandwiches and waited for over 15 minutes and even had to call to ask if it was going to be any time soon. Ive given it a few tries thinking it was maybe just a bad day, but this type of experience has been consistently bad. Will not go again.

Is pretty good, and there is a good choice of side dishes. I ordered a four piece with two spicy and two original. They gave me two drum sticks, one was very small, and two thigh with back pieces that were better. I think if you order a four pack, you should get a better variety.

They scam you into ordering through skipthedishes. Show that they have promotion going on, and when you order they dont send you the promotional offer but instead just regular order. And then blame you for ordering from the regular menu and not the promotional menu and then refuse to give refund or send the promotional item. Worst place ever. Wont be ordering from here and from skipthedishes ever.

I have never been much of a quick food guy, and overall customer service is pretty substandard lately. Ive been here 4 times. First time I was treated so well I just wanted to see if it was an anomaly, but it wasnt. We have been treated with so much respect and care everytime its enough to give you hope! Sounds excessive, but Im being really real. Literally the best customer service Ive seen. Huge bonus that the chicken is actually has taste to it (most fast food pretty much tastes like cardboard), and the food is big and filling you cant even call it fast food (so I called it quick). Who knew some quick food would impress so much but it truly did! Thanks Popyes! And keep using those real straws!! :)
i love this branch. The servers in this branch are top notch. The customer service here is really good. One of the best in handling customers in drive thru and inside which is very rare in fastfood places. Personally, I think their employees deserve more and I believe they would do really good in managing customer service in bigger companies. Which I hope is where it will lead them.

Would give 0/10 if I could. Don t say the place is open until 10 if they re going to be closed at 9:30pm. There is no reason to be closed 15-30 minutes early. I understand slow evenings, but no reason fast food shouldn t be open until closing time.
Well at work having a half hour at lunch decided to go to Popeyes twice in one week at the beginning of the week they did not have any chicken except for chicken tenders and Friday of the same week door says open at 1:30 its 1:45 and the doors are locked I have wasted my lunch two days this week so my advice is dont waste your time

Hands down the best Popeyes location in the Okanagan Valley! We make the trip to Penticton from Kelowna to eat at this location. The Vernon one is good too but I wouldnt recommend the West Kelowna one (have been three times and all fell short). The food is always fresh and hot and the quality is exceptional. The staff are always friendly and they seem like they care about their customers experience. Highly recommend this place!

A handful of fries, which were crispy and tasty but enough for 1 person maybe. Greasy but still tasty gravy. 2 dry biscuits. And drinks. Not worth damn near $20 after taxes.

Tabeer was very helpful and accommodating. When we first got here we made a mistake with a coupon, and he gave us exactly what we wanted despite our mistake. He was so polite and had amazing customer service, always looking for ways to improve the restaurant. Our food was hot, fresh, and delicious. There was only one item that wasn t to our liking, and he replaced it right away which made our day. When we were eating there was stink bug that flew in from outside and landed in the window, and a nice young man who was bussing the tables and sweeping helped us so kindly to get it back outside. He was so respectful of our belongings and overall a very nice person.

I love popeyes, since they came to town its always been better than KFC. However 3 weeks ago I was served a piece of rotten or infected chicken (black dots throughout the flesh and gray surface). It has completely turned me off of fried chicken and chicken in general since then and the manager basically looked at me sideways figuring I was trying to scam them out of another piece of chicken... pull the skin off before you eat here.
Absolute garbage chicken! Deep fried till theres no chicken left just a crispy batter and bone. Ive seen crack heads walking around with more meat on them. The fries were wet and limp like they fished them out of the dumpster out back. Coleslaw was good though.
