Theres no better cafe to pop into. Ryan and Thuy hit it out of the park every time with the perfect combo of great drinks, baked goods, atmosphere, and friendly service. You get what you pay for and what youll get is perfection.

Attended a deep listening event here and I can t say enough about how amazing and respectful the atmosphere was.

Probably the most legit coffee Ive had in Penticton. Heres my opinion: Espresso: 8/10 - really good, but a touch bitter. Its still creamy tho and a bit of a cinnamon like note. Latte: 9/10 - they dont burn the milk like most places. Just steamed hot enough to drink right away, which is how they should be. Cup is rinsed, espresso is weighed and tamped by hand and he primes the water before he puts the hammer in. Like a pro. Service: 10/10.

Watching barista, you get the sense that he takes his coffee making very seriously and the results paid off. As a Melbourne coffee snob, I highly recommend for any Australian looking for a great expresso.

With their incredible organic steamed milk cappuccinos, they run a high-grade coffee joint as friendly entrepreneurs who appreciate curated music listening and are working to create some exciting events. Walking by this café, I decided to walk in. From the start, the young couple were very welcoming. I ordered a coffee, and the sourdough bread. Both were delicious. I also enjoyed the subtle undertones of the jazz music in the back ground. I m looking forward to going back.

A place I wish existed in Vancouver! Every drink is made with care (the Matcha and Hochija are my favourite). The space is beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing to be in. You can tell that every aspect of Soe was consciously thought out with care. From the ingredients they use, the decor, to the music. The owners are so welcoming and have created a very special place for people to come together. You gotta go!!

The BEST coffee I ve had in the Okanagan, possibly in BC. The beans have an incredible depth of flavour. The space is beautiful. Interesting music and lots of books to flip through. Warm service and lovely owners.

Such an incredibly thoughtful and beautiful space! The sound is incredible and the drinks are the top notch. They always have super interesting rotating beans and a great selection of wines also. Don t sleep on this spot!

Love soe! Coffee/wine bar inspired by Japanese design and flavours. Jazz spinning on an actual turntable. Delicious matcha and hojicha and a small selection of carefully executed pastries. I haven t tried their pm setup but everything about this place suggests quality.

We visited this newly-opened, locally-owned business due to a personal recommendation. We were in town for a conference, and on the final day, we decided to stop for a coffee and treat before leaving town. The space is balance of intimacy and spaciousness. The decor is a fusion of Scandinavia and Nippon. I had an iced latte crafted by Ryan, and I have to share that Ive never tasted a creamier whole milk (its organic from Salmon Arm). The black sesame banana bread (again Japanese influence) was sliced and warmed by Thuy. The seating is well-spaced, and communal-seating forward. Theres a DJ stand in the center of the space, and when we visited, Ryan and Thuy were preparing to host their first pop-up wine tasting with live music. I appreciate that these two young entrepreneurs are engaged in promoting equally-minded local businesses. As Id mentioned, the milk is sourced from Salmon Arm, and the baked goods and sourdough bread are procured directly from Penticton. Appropriately scaled eco sustainability in practice. I asked Ryan what the cafes name, Soe, means and he explained it in detail, but the gist of what I understood was that its a diagonal line or branch which represents man. Youll need to ask him yourself to get the accurate definition, as well as to try the sourdough bread (they were out, as the long weekend depleted their supplies).

Outstanding coffee in a very thoughtfully designed space. It s always refreshing when a business goes all in to make their space unique and inviting This is the kind of business Penticton needs more of. My wife loves the matcha, I m still locked on the cappuccino. Stoked to try some ice coffee this summer :)

Enjoyed a great latte and espresso at this new listening cafe in town! Even loved the feel of the ceramic cups. Very fun and interesting and the dog although huge is very friendly. Recommend!

A massive contribution to Penticton s small and thriving coffee/wine scene. Soe feels intentional, intimate, and a deeply thoughtful in all of their offerings and with every designed inch of the interiors. It was so refreshing to find ethically made and bc roasted beans that don t sacrifice on flavour. Not to mention, the staff are extremely welcoming, the atmosphere is chill and vibey, music is relaxing, and the space is beyond beautiful. I can t wait to go back! 11/10 for me. Dietary restrictions: I m obsessed with their gluten-free and vegan cookie.

I ordered an oat milk latte and it was delicious. The atmosphere is great, theres a DJ booth and the decor is really cool. The two owners were very friendly.
