I went there yesterday and ordered two burgers and as I was waiting inside I was just standing watching behind the till and I noticed the cook drop my burger (it was in a bowl but bounced out) He immediately tried to grab it off the ground and looked to see if anyone was looking (which I was) and as you can imagine I asked for my money back and left.

Used to be a decent spot, now they just seem to ignore what you order or just make you wait at the counter for about 10 mins without any employee acknowledging you... just keep on walking by and ignoring customers.

Longest drive thru wait of my life. We just ended up going right thru and eating at McDonalds.

Need to update closing time, says 10:30 but its 10:00. Wasted my time going there on a work night just to be met by a disrespectful employee and relieved the bird.

Went for a strawberry Sunday last night and found a hair wrapped around the cup and sticking onto the top of the Sunday. Pulled it off at the counter and took a scoop and had a second long hair wound through the Sunday. The staff witnessed this and did apologize. They made a replacement Sunday instead of refunding me. It didnt make me want to go back.

Staff is lovely and the food and ice cream is standard for Dairy Queens. My one complaint... Is the parking and having just one entrance and exit. Access to the alley is so needed and Im sure delivery trucks agree aha. But no complaints in regard to the actual dairy queen. Recommend stopping in for a treat.

Well dairyqueen should stick to ice cream and avoid trying to do hot food because there no good at making hot food today I ordered 2 triple bacon two cheese deluxe burger combos and 2 double bacon two cheese deluxe burger combos and it was all so cold I dont think they even heated up my burgers or the bacon I opened it up and felt the bacon and beef Pattys and both were cold not warm cold like it just came out of a fridge and the burger Pattys were dry aswell like old, the buns were stiff not good seemed old I wasted 62 dollars and I ended up going to wendys and getting hot food I would not and will not buy food from any dairqueen ever again very disappointed

Do not order custom ANYTHING from this place. The employees do not care about the service or product they send out. The custom cake lettering is such an embarrassment. Id rather just go to summerland to get icecream. Such a dissipointment. Food

I was looking forward to icecream and I u understand they were supper busy but I asked for a banana split and extra fudge sauce and peanuts. I didnt get extra. Barely got any other toppings. Mostly just plain icecream. The other stuff was great. Icecream and pretty disappointing. That was the only reason I ended up coming.

One of the better fast food places in 2022! Im always impressed with the flavour the food delivers and how fast and hot the food comes, although most people only get icecream I would recommend trying something from their hot food!

I like dairy queen but you guys literally never give ketchup with my meal the Sundays Ive been getting are like tiny look nothing like advertised and Ive just got back home and the stuff I asked for on my burger isnt there please train your staff better I was literally just there 10 min ago

Getting very expensive.

Very rude when trying to figure out what was celiac friendly, don t know if we where annoying the lady at the window or if she was having an off day. Got a banana split that had almost no ice cream and was mainly banana and whipped cream, and old stale fries. Kind of disappointing since Dairy Queen is a rare treat.

Cotton candy blizzards are yumyum good. Double stacked bacon n cheese is my sons favorite burger.

Our vote for least favorite location. Will be looking for alternative location when traveling in the area. ;( Food

Horrible customer service from beginning to end. Was being ignored for window orders, while my order was being taken. I had asked to dine in. Was handed a bag of food with no words exchanged from the staff member. When my wife approached the counter asking for the rest of the order, she was told everything was in the bag. I then approached the counter in a not so friendly way. Explaining I wanted what I paid for. The manager called me a liar and said I had all my food. Even came to our table and checked over every item. Then to make up for their mistake they brought me my missing burger. And said there was a wait for our ice cream. Then I asked about my other drinks and was again told I already had them. When I received my drinks and blizzards. They were still missing 2 chocolate milks from the order. When asked about the chocolate milks. They replied you only said you were missing drinks.(last time I checked chocolate milk was a drink) I would never recommend coming to this location. As the staff are entitled, have no customer service skills. And refuse to admit to mistakes. I had even tipped the cashier as I recognized she was training and they were busy. But when your repeatedly ignored and after that called a liar, you tend to be less tolerant towards others.

Its not bad. They cover the ice cream sundaes with enough topping IE: fudge, caramel, etc. Staff are friendly, lots of parking and store is clean.

We usually get great blizzards, but Im not sure if their ice cream machines were working properly or not the day we went through the drive through but the first one was good and the other 2 were on the melted side already. 9

Absolutely terrible. It took what felt like 10 minutes to get the simple order of 4pc chicken strip basket with honey mustard through. Can we please get employees that at the bare minimum can work the system and don t require me to repeat a one item order a dozen times?

During my first visit, I was impressed by how clean it was, service was good and the staff are friendly. The ice cream I got was wonderful and served quick. Id recommend going to this location, they have a chill atmosphere (pun totally not intended ).

Got blizzards through drive thru today, I got a strawberry cheesecake, and when I was eating, I noticed a piece of some kind of nut. I dont necessarily mind nuts, but its definitely a hazard for those who have nut allergies. Staff needs to be more careful!

Staff was very friendly and great at up selling. The food was good . The only issue I had was that there was NO RECEIPT so when I took a picture of the free dilly bar scan code with survey -needed a receipt- was not happy.

The Muahroom Swiss Double Burger and the 3 Onion Rings I snafooed from my family members box of Onion Rings were jusssst well, ok, not extraordinary but still edible, nice taste, a tad of the old oil taste but not too horrible, so those get an o.k.. The service was adequate, friendly, and fairly fast, but she got a little bit annoyed with the fact that I had to try a couple of different cards to pay for the order. Because I forgot which card was active in which card was old, understandable, but, I dont think youre supposed to show it in your face, That youre annoyed, that is. Parking: Well, the parking is ok in numbers for the spots it has, but, yep, sorry but heres another but, there was a homeless encampment along the parking lots rear cement retaining wall and two people actively shooting up behind the Dairy Queen dumpster making it a little dicey for some folks that have never seen it or have seen too much of it having to park back there. The above-mentioned homeless people are not always there, maybe 65 to 70 percent of the time someone is hanging around. So park in the angled spots along each side of the building if you cant handle a little blast of reality. Kid-friendliness: The Dairy Queen in Penticton I would say is only kid-friendly due to all the great ice cream, cake and sugary treats and what kid doesnt like going out to eat, especially at a faster food place with mountains of deserts? As for a playground, nope. Anything kid-friendly to do, hmmm, just possibly Crayons and a funky cool placemat to colour, thats it.

Never have I been served a microwaved burger, but I witnessed both my burgers go into one here making me wonder just how old they were. My other problem was that I couldnt understand while waiting for my microwaved burgers was why there is so many flies and that the staff didnt seem to care. Sorry not sorry, never going back.

Person that served us, although friendly and polite, had a very hard time understanding me when I was trying to order. Had to bring someone over to take over. Not one worker in there was speaking English when talking to eachother. Food was standard fast food, fries were hot and fresh. Restaurant area was clean and well maintained.

Almost $10 for a large Blizzard and $7 for a Peanut Buster Parfait that seems to keep getting smaller. 10/14/23 I ordered a ice cream cake for my friends birthday and I was extremely disappointed. It was a good size and it should be for $60. It had hardly any chocolate ice cream or my favorite part the fudge, crunchy chocolatey middle. They used to put way more. Im never buying anything from DQ again.

I ordered brownie oreo cuperfection through drive thru and when I came to pick my order I got my wrong order and then told them again to make the right one but that was still not the right one .After saying two times i got the order after some time.

Love DQ but can barely call it DQ anymore, rude team members, hard to explain the order as they dont understand. Food 3 stars as chicken overdone, dry.

Recently ordered from skip the dishes. Ordered a blizzard with brownie chunks and chicken straps and fries with dip. Chicken and fries stone cold. Said i was gettin a $8 dollar coupon. One inpaid the coupon wa removed to not activated. Blizzard was melted. Never received my dips and not 1 brownie chunk it. Apparently its brownie crumbs that blend till you cant see them. Called to discuss. No apology was given and no offer tor rectify. Absolutely apllaing customer service and no resemblance of quality. Another bad experience at the penticton location.

Almost every time I order blizzards for my family and I, they are just vanilla ice cream with very small flakes of what is supposed to be in them. I even got them remade one time and they were the exact same.... no flavor and not worth 10$ for a cup of plain ice cream which is supposed to be a blizzard...

I had ordered blizzards a little while ago and they were basically vanilla ice cream. Very flavorless. But I gave another chance and thus time they Wouldnt answer my question about an item, (asking if they had it) tried charging for a kids cone. I ordered a poutine got it home and the container was only half full.

Access to drive-thru and parking lot is a bit of a challenge. It is a one-way lot. Once parked in one of the few empty spots, proceeded to restaurant. The menu was lit up to an extreme brightness. Once ordered I asked for washroom key and was informed that the washrooms are closed because closing time is coming up. So I was able to spend my money but not use the facilities. It took almost 15 minutes to receive the blizzard. Which was agonizing as to my condition. Ugh! I little decency goes along way. I wont have a good feeling about this DQ next time Im craving ice cream so I will go to another chain.

Is it my imagination or are servings getting smaller? I had a delicious Dilly bar. Its been years since I had one. I could never finish a whole bar in one sitting and now its easy to finish it off. Good thing because it wasnt frozen solid, the stick was crooked and fallout immediately plus its hot out so it would have been a hugh sticky mess by the time I got home.

Dont go through drive thru, order is always wrong and when you say something they say its drive thru you have to expect that. No I dont have to expect that. I worked there, drive thru should never have to expect that.

Have been here a few times in the last year and every time, without fail, ice cream is too soft. Be it Blizzard or sundae, its soup within a matter of minutes. Even in winter. Also, a noted decline in volume of toppings. I think the last time I have a cheesecake Blizzard or had 3 tiny chunks of cheesecake. My current strawberry sundae is severely lacking in strawberry.

It was fine . But cold having to sit outside. Not their fault . Will be back when it warms up

so today I was scrolling through social media and I came across a couple posts of someone ordering a smoothie, and found 2 unknown pills within the drink and it is believed to be ecstasy. it s been posted all over social media. I don t think I will be visiting this location again.

You know you are dealing with cheap owners when the cones are so skimpy the ice cream is straight up skinny on the cone. Next time intend to say something as that is a pathetic way for an icecream store like Dairy Queen to make a few extra cents especially when ice cream is their game. That s the problem with franchises when companies don t hold them to standards like they used to. But you notice this where the east indians are buying out all the fast food stores now like the DQ s, A&W s, Tim Hortons, etc. Sad to see these Canadian heritages being taken over as these people when they start buying into them they assimilate them all and start cheapening up wherever possible and its never the same. Disappointing experience as was even noted by another reviewer.
