Incredible experience everytime I go there. Food, staff, environment.

My husband, daughter and I had dinner tonight at your restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The food was delicious and our waiter, Barry, made our evening even more enjoyable.

We ate at La Casa last night to celebrate my birthday. I ordered lamb lemonado. I cut into the lamb and I hit bone that was covered with a layer of fat, I peeled off the fat and it looked like vertebra with very little meat. I ate thee meat and the fat as my hunger over came me. I have had lamb at La Casa several times before and it was excellent but last nights lamb was not acceptable. I should have complained last night but I didnt want to ruin a festive occasion but if this is what you serve now, I will be dining at another establishment.

The food was WORTH the wait. I ordered the Garlic Prawn Dinner and it was some of the best food Ive ever had! Thank you La Casa Ouzeria, OPA!

Parking on site and road too. Good size waiting area. Wall decor ok. Outside patio deck, with green to mitigate the road. Had a reservation. Not required, but on a weekend.....Seated directly, then h20, drinks. Order taken and appy appeared... Super tasty mains. Going back, Probably BEST, Italian or Greek in Penticton. Vegetarian options: vegan , salads Parking: lots Kid-friendliness: lots of chatter so kids not an issue Wheelchair accessibility: flat

The food was OK like any other Greek restaurant. Hummus and pita bread were really good. You can t miss the tiramisu. I go for chicken souvlaki than a lamb Atmosphere was fantastic and the servers were friendly and helpful.

Ive been to Greece and this by far the closest Ive seen to eating there in North America. Food was amazing (lamb and fried calamari were amazing), service was top notch with staff being very knowledgeable about the food, and the atmosphere was just right. It is on the expensive side though well worth the cost

The four of us who dined at LaCasa Ouzeria last evening were extremely pleased with our service, our food and the overall experience. Delicious dolmathes, outstanding mousaka, scrumptious lamb chops, tender and perfectly seasoned beef souvlaki and more, all presented with the utmost style by our fabulous server Brooke. We will most certainly be returning frequently.

Really liked the food and the service was super good just one thing I don t recommend is the calamari it was really rubbery but my family ordered a platter and everything was awesome definitely recommend eating here!

An iconic dining experience in Penticton, Greek and Italian. I have been a few times now and have never had less than an amazing meal! The ekmek is amazing!

Quite a deception sadly as we had high expectations after reading some reviews. Got the lamb souvlaki, which wasnt great, not tender. Same for half of potatoes kinda rubbery, but rice and carrots were excellent. My wife had ribs that were average and the same concern about her potatoes. We didnt try any dessert, not being sure of it. Service was great, no complaints there.

I recently had a disappointing dining experience at Ouzeria in Penticton. Despite making a reservation, my party and I had to wait for an hour and a half for service to even begin. To make matters worse, when our appetizers finally arrived, only half of our order was brought to the table. Throughout the entire meal, there was no service on drinks . Frustrated with the lack of attention and poor service, we decided to leave before our entrees even arrived. We paid our bill and explained to the staff how dissatisfied we were with the entire experience. Overall, the service at Ouzeria was incredibly slow and unprofessional. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience in Penticton.

Do NOT dine in on Wednesday evenings! They have a weekly special on, and are way too busy for the kitchen and staff to handle. I had made a reservation for 6 pm, but we stood in the doorway for 25 minutes before we were seated. Once seated, we ordered 2 appetizers and 6 entrees. The 1 appetizer arrived over an hour later (at 7:30), at which point we were ready to leave. The second appy never arrived. When we said this to the server, she said it has NOT been over an hour and later threw a serving tray in frustration. We ended up leaving without dinner, they refused to comp our 1 tea and 1 appetizer, and the apparent floor manager laughed and made a joke at us on the way out. Overall, a very unprofessional, understaffed, and rude establishment!

We both had the Garlic Prawn dinner with the Ek Mek for dessert. DELICIOUS. Prawns were cooked to perfection and the butter sauce was perfect. Even the Greek potato was PERFECT. Im quite often disappointed with the potato at most Greek restaurants finding it too dry and often find myself eating it just as filler. This was not at all the case here. I quite enjoyed it. And the dessert... wow.. Im NOT a fan of coconut. Neither of us are but this dessert was topnotch! Highly recommend! so good I forgot to take a photo ha! Also, the service was very upbeat and personable. Nice ambiance and decor too

Sangria is the keyword my wife and I entered into Google Maps for our final dinner on this trip in Penticton. It came up with several mentions one of them being La Casa Ouzeria, which we decided to try out because we never had is past visits. We werent disappointed. Entering into a cool, tastefully designed decor with many potted plants, we were shown to a table and given an attentive and friendly server who readily accommodated our requests. My wife and I both chose the Lamb Lemonata which was simply superb, and handsomely portioned, too. Strictly speaking, it should have been paired with a full-bodied red, but since we had set our hearts on a Sangria, we got a full pitcher of that and that, too, was excellent. No room for dessert. All in all, one of our best meals ever in Penticton. Highly recommended.

It was a very nice meal and the atmosphere was a little noisy / casual but the service was excellent... Great local eatery.

Extremely unhappy with meal and particularly Service. While meal portions are always large and well prepared 3 out of 5 dishes were simply warm. Service was not very interactive, some initial confusion in serving food to right table and waitress had to be reminded that we may like dessert despite her urgency to prepare the bill. I think Zias in Summerland is far better for fine dining in the area.

Wonderful food and great service. Great restaurant for anyone with celiac disease and need to eat gluten free. Every time I have eaten here I have never been sick afterwards. The staff has always been knowledgeable and will tell you what you can and cannot have off the menu. They do have to inform you that there is a chance for cross contamination but they always do their best to avoid any gluten getting on your food. It s a fantastic place for if you have celiac disease or not! Would highly recommend! Dietary restrictions: Celiac disease friendly!

The calamari had no salt or seasoning at all But worse than that it was the tiniest portion I have ever seen! Tzatziki was great :) But I wouldn t order their calamari again . For $22 you d hope for a lot fuller plate !

Went out for the Thursday rib special with my wife. Always is a great treat. The option for dry rub or BBQ sauce tastes amazing as per usual!

I like the Ouzara...a lot. We eat there often. I make reservations for 4...for 7. In fact, I even had a phone chat about the reservation with a staff member. Held for 20 minutes in an alcove...cant even order wine..really? If you cant seat a party at the reserved time...phone them and make a suggestion. Or buy them a glass.

Just found out you can order online through their website and they deliver! We ordered the Minoe platter for delivery tonight and it was fantastic. All the food was hot, fresh and portions were just the same as if we were dining in. Kudos to the staff. 10/10 would recommend.

All I can say is that eating at La casa Ouzeria is an amazing experience! Definitely the best dinner I ve had in the Okanagan. I gave this review a 4 because I was placed as a single guest in the back of the room facing other guests. The food took a bit above average amount of time but quality is important so give and take. The food was very good. The first bite of the steak immediately go mmm. Potatoes are delicious. Veggies are delicious. Service was great. Ambiance, energy: good. The surf and turf is good. I took a bite then a picture because I knew this review was coming.

Great place almost perfect my friends took me there for birthday and had chicken souvlaki and rice could have been a more flavor but all and all great

This place was the pinnacle of Greek food I have had in over a decade. The moment we walked in we were greeted pleasantly by the front of house. After we sat our server kindly greeted us within a minute as she was entering previous tables orders letting us know shed be by briefly. (Acknowledgment is key in service industry) She came took down our entire order as we were ready quite quickly. Properly has our bottle of wine opened table side and sampled. Professional but very warm as a person. (I think her name was Jessica) The dinner From the thin layer of batter on the calamari to the aggressive seasoning on the moussaka it was divine. We shared a lot of our food amongst the 6 of us and everything we ordered was top notch. The slow roasted lamb was meaty but ate like smooth butter. The meze platter I would also highly recommend at a table for people looking for a true sample of the balance theyve managed with falvors. Clean good food for dinner and then we ordered dessert. Creme Caramella has my heart. I have never known a custard to be as refreshing yet comforting. The mixture and balance with the orange and brandy was incredible. Finally the Tiramisu was the best I have ever had. Typically from the home cook to restaurants the balance of liqour is so off in Tiramsiu. This was succulent and delicious. I honestly wasnt going to write a review as I am on vacation but I felt compelled. (Hence the lack of pictures) La Casa Ouzeria is a must go for anyone looking for an amazing meal without pretentiousness but with a appropriate level of class and presentation. Outside of a few minor decor preferences pretty much a perfect dinner with a full party of 6. PS. Bonus thought, the Sikotakia is fried chicken liver. Dont be scared if you love liver or other oddities it was incredible. (Much better than your mom made it) Vegetarian options: Everything vegetarian is clearly labeled and well made. No expense spared in making food vegetarian dishes. Parking: Decent sized parking plus lots of options on adjacent streets. Kid-friendliness: Pretty open concept so easy access for large family and the openness is very homey.

Possibly the worst Greek/ so called Italian food I have ever had! Just tasteless food..no kidding the room was filled with seniors what a waste of money ../Opa in the mall is better than this place! Will not return and and will not recommend!!

Large group celebrating a birthday. Service was great. My food was good but I must profess that if youre going to put commonly despised ingredients in your dish, note it on your menu. Theres nothing worse for people to bite into their dish to discover nutmeg or some other commonly antagonistic ingredient. If youre heavy with any of these spices, declare it; your customers will appreciate it.

I was craving lasagna, a nice high layered lasagna. I was served a mini casserole dish with a lasagna squashed into it..... so basically al forno. My partner hD a nice seafood pasta. Of course I didnt say anything as it would make me look like a Karen! So we cant have an opinion anymore...... just swallow. However its the best in Penticton so far!

I absolutely adore La Casa. I m often quite busy so I usually order takeout but the Ouzeria platter is always my go to dinner and I m never disappointed. The staff is always friendly and I have yet to be unhappy with any of the food I ve ordered there. I recommend the Lamb Lemonato and and fish roe dip as well. If I could live off of their dolmades I would. All time favourite place!

Just had our Christmas party there tonight, I am a person with high expectations, they were all met tonight. The staff were excellent, the service was great, it was paced just right we had time to talk in between courses but we werent waiting or rushed either. Everyones meal was great followed up by classic Tiramisu. Great job everyone! Thank you!

We had a terrible server, and we actually asked for another server. The second server was awesome, the restaurant was busy and very noisy. It is a relatively small restaurant was so noise was detrimental to the experience. Ordered a drink as a dubble and short,received a tall single, when we mentioned it they took the drink back and just poured it into a small glass. Over all we will order takeout.

Just finished another incredible dinner here. Saturday evening, during Christmas season. Busy joint. Our server, Gary, was excellent. As usual. Order was taken quickly and correctly. And cocktails, appetizers and the entree cave with perfect timing. Not rushed but not looking around either. My lamb shoulder was just as tender and flavorful as before. Everyone enjoyed their evening but unfortunately, there was no room for the desserts they offered. If and when you visit, ask for Garys section. Itll make your night.

Ordered steak dinner, moussaka and lasagna for take out. The steak managed to get home the perfect medium rare as requested. My moussaka was delicious and enough of a serving with the Greek salad for dinner the following day. What can I say about the lasagna? It was good and a huge portion size. My meat- eating husband would have enjoyed the lasagna more if Id ordered additional meatballs added to it. The three of us enjoyed our meal and good value. Ive eaten at La Casa Ouzeria a good many times since they opened the other end of town years ago and never been disappointed. My contact with staff was limited to a telephone order and going in to pick up my food but staff was friendly. You folks are doing something right. Nobody complains about their meal after eating there.

Just left this place and will not be back. I know good Greek food and this is not it. It breaks my heart to see bastardized version of the best Mediterranean food can offer. You better buy a shawarma from a street corner

My fiancee and I make sure to stop here at-least once every visit up to Penticton. Some of the best Greek dishes you can get in BC. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend trying it out if you havent.

The food was incredible. Lamb souvlaki was tender and perfectly seasoned and the side vegetables were excellent. Our desserts (ekmek and baklava) were outstanding, the baklava only slightly edging ahead on flavour, probably because it warmed. Would absolutely recommend to everyone.

This place is AMAZING!! I recommend coming here for dinner. The workers are so polite and it s nice and cozy you get comfortable in minutes. Whatever food you have is 100/10 it s the best Greek place in town<3

2022-08-13: Late night dinner for four of us. Excellent tasting food and high quality service. We had Caesar Salad, Calamari, and Saganaki to start and share, then seafood pasta, spanakopita, and lasagna dinners. Drinks to pair with everything available. Make reservations as it gets busy!

Best Lamb shank in Okanagan... tender, not overly fatty or salty. Loved it. The Saganaki was served with Brandy and flames... nice touch. My partner loved the ribs although I thought were a touch dry but thats why I always have lamb . Ambience is cozy and has a great vibe. When its busy dont expect quick service but the quality of food makes up for it so just enjoy your company and drink up.

We decided to try this restaurant on a visit to Penticton and boy what a great choice. The decor is lovely, the food and service were excellent. Shout out to Barry for being a great server. If you are in Penticton, try this reataurant. We were so hapoy with everything. The restaurant has won many awards, deservedly so.

The food here is the best Greek food you will ever have! My family come into town and goes to dinner here every night they stay here!

Chicken souvlaki and seafood platter were great, and my son was thrilled with his flamebroiled steak. The ekmek and baklava were also fantastic, the latter being chock full of walnuts (even too much!).

Very nice space and lighting and atmosphere. Okay. Place to take your family or a date. This place is usually busy on the weekends and evenings so make sure to make a reservation. I really like the candle use and live plans they have in the center of the restaurant. Theyre most popular dishes are the ones with lamb. I tried the half rack of ribs and they did not disappoint. It comes with lemon, potato, vegetables, and the meat is seasoned with Greek seasoning. There is free parking, limited spaces. However, you can park on the street nearby as well.

It was our anniversary dinner tonight and we asked for an outdoor table which they provided as I told several staff we wanted to be outside for our intimate special occasion. The food was great, however halfway through our romantic, dinner a server arrives and removes my empty plate. My wife was halfway through her meal. We expressed our disappointment to our main server stating its culture in Greece and in our own culture (UK) to respect the occasion and allow the couple to finish their meal together before removing plates. My wife then felt rushed, it was poor etiquette and our privacy invaded so my wife stopped eating and we agreed to leave. The server apologised and said that they are trained to remove quickly for elbow room? No consideration for the context of the intimate setting and this is supposed to be a formal restaurant. So we decided to leave and given our poor service paid our full bill then chose not to leave a tip at which point the server lost it with us telling us that she earns less than the minimum wage and she took a 6% loss for our drinks even though we paid full price for them. It was very disturbing to observe her berate us publicly in front of customers over her poor salary as if we are responsible for ensuring she receives the minimum wage. We left having never experienced such an embarrassing outburst over their poor customer service.

Husband and I had booked our 10 year anniversary dinner at another Greek restaurant in town. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and we were told they had given our table away. We decided to leave and go to La Casa Ouzeria. 10/10 service, food & prices. I would recommend La Casa Ouzeria if you want great service and terrific food at an affordable price!

A bit disappointed with this restaurant. We had our anniversary dinner here. My husband ordered the Pescatore dinner and it tasted like chef boyardee. I had a steak that came with potatoes and vegetables. My potatoes had obviously been pre-cooked and microwaved as the edges were hard and rubbery. They offered parmesan that was not freshly grated which is surprising for this type of restaurant. No pre-dinner bread and the calamari we ordered was bland and sprinkled with uncooked white onions. My steak had so much salt on it that it ruined the taste. The ambiance is blah.

This is a very hard review to write. We went on Sept 9 for my birthday (71) made a reservation for 7 pm for 4 of us about a 10 days before! We arrived at around 7 to find out they had no tables available! What is the point of a reservation then? We ended up waiting for about 45 mins before they said they could find a table for us! Yet we saw people leaving but still no table! The front of house staff were not concerned at all that they were keeping us waiting. But wait we did! When we FINALLY got seated we were pleased with our waitress Jodie and also the food was very good but due to the way we were treated at the front - I dont know if I am willing to go back! We didnt even get an apology! An apology or a discount on the bill would have been appropriate in a case like this! But I must say the food was good. And the table service we received was amazing although the rest of the staff didnt hustle at all!.

This Greek/Italian family owned restaurant was 100% on the mark. We loved the whole ambiance, food, service. The Lamb Lemonata ( a lamb shoulder) was perfectly slow cooked, light seasoning ( not over done with loads of butter and too much salt.) Our dessert tiramisu was excellent and was large enough to be shared.

Best Taramosalata apetizer light and delicious!!

Service was very slow. Food came out without getting drinks and wine! 1 dish was the wrong order and sent back. Food was bland and lacking flavour other than a strong charcoal char flavour. Portions were huge and unnecessary.plating was terrible and sloppy. Not worth $400.00 will not be back

We have dined in and ordered take out here several times and it is always great service and food! The portions are really good! The lasagna is Amazing!! And a very healthy portion best bang for your buck!
