This place sets the standard for Indian food. I have yet to have a bad meal from here, and Ive been frequenting for many, many years. The lunch special is the perfect amount of food. I always end up with leftovers when I order dinner (cant complain about more butter chicken the next day!). Staff is always friendly, and the new location is amazing.

We have always enjoyed Lachis food but we went the other night for some take-away and it was phenomenal. Better than normal, which has always been delicious. Thanks!! We really enjoyed it.

Ordered take out, had the following issues: - Something really hard was in the pakora. Hurt my wifes tooth. - The chicken in the mango chicken was DISGUSTING. It had some weird strong taste, like it was either bad or undercooked. It was slightly pink inside so might have been the latter. - Ordered two main curries online. Most other Indian restaurants come with rice. This didnt, and nothing on the site says that. I suppose it doesnt say it comes with rice either but getting home and having nothing to eat your curry with is really annoying. - showed up exactly on time (45min after order) and food was on the back counter. Told the host and he took my name. He told me to wait because a big group came up to pay so he was helping them. so I stood back politely waiting but when he was done with them he just stood there... Looking around the room for a long time. Finally someone from the back saw me waiting and came to get the host and they grabbed my food. It was really weird. He didnt go check if it was ready or ask someone else if it was or anything...just....stood there. Food was still warm but not hot so must have been sitting there for a while before i got there too. Some of the food tasted good at least but I cant recommend this place as thats just too many issues. There are much better Indian restaurants around.

Quality has declined quite a bit as of my most recent visit. Got the same order as always and the previously excellent food was just about ok. I dunno what changed in the kitchen, but I hope they change it back.

Ordered takeout. Watched my food sit for ten minutes under the heat lamp. Then no napkins or cutlery. Good food but didnt like eating with my finger.

Served food on a metal prison tray, food portions small, asked for medium spice tasted mild and bland. Nan bread tastes odd

Were relatively new to Penticton coming from Burnaby but so far this has been the best Indian food weve had here. It really hits the spot. Weve only done take out but the new location looks very posh and inviting.

Dinner special 2 can dine for $33.95 and we were actually full at the end! A good deal. The lamb was tender, chicken was tender, not fatty. Very flavourful, definitely will be back! Can t wait to try more.

Constantly the best East Indian food around. Nice clean tastefully decorated restaurant. Been coming back for years and our kids first choice when visiting Penticton. Plenty of vegan options.

I ordered full tandoori chicken but they only gave me half I ordered it from skip and payed 24 dollars and just got 4 small pieces of chicken. Very disappointed from Lachi . I always ordered from Lachi but not gonna do again.

My favourite place to eat

Had the dinner for two after a day of climbing, and both were very full afterward. The food was fantastic and came out very quickly, the service was good. The price of the dine for two was incredible. Well definitely come again when were here.

Food tasted ok not great, big issue was only slight warm above room temp, I like my food hot in temperature not room temp. Service was terrible, we got our drinks after our food and appy at the same time as our food. Server only came once to see us after food arrived. We wont ever eat there again.

Penticton now has an authentic Indian restaurant. Great food with an amazing menu. The staff was super friendly but still left us to ourselves. We had a group of 13 with all sorts of dietary issues that Lachi had answers for every one. The different flavors of foods was incredible and they helped us with choosing an array of different meat and meatless dishes. Our group left with very full bellies. I highly recommend this restaurant. Give it a try! Vegetarian options: Delicious! Dietary restrictions: Meatless or dairy free. Theyll accommodate.

We had ordered food to be delivered, time they estimated to arrive was bang on. The gentleman who delivered our food was courteous and friendly. I had the Curry Chicken, it was fresh and absolutely delicious. Best Samosas I have had in in the Valley ! Most definitely will be going back ! Thank you for an amazing meal !

Hands down the best Indian restaurant in the whole of Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton belt. Absolutely loved their chicken vindaloo and the combo idea is a super hit.

On our first day in Penticton, we decided to go to Lachi for lunch. after a delicious meal and leaving the place my wife remembered she left her purse in the store but the staff here has saved it and put it in a safe locker for us to go back and take it they are so honest and trustworthy

Chicken korma was good not great. Not much atmosphere in the restaurant. Appeared shabby and run down.

Checked out Lachi Fine Indian Cuisine for lunch. They have cheap lunch specials (available until 2:30pm). Their dinner special ($32.95 for 2) also seemed like a great deal. - Aloo gobi adraki ($9.95) - more of a home style, comforting take on aloo gobi. Plenty of rice and the naan (sprinkled with parsley) was fresh. - Lamb saag ($11.95) - lamb was tender and included a couple of chunks. Satisfying, tasty eats at Lachi. Will be back for more next time we re in town.

Very nice decor. Newly built place. Food was very very tasty. Good choices. Staff was very friendly and were paying attention to all the guests. Even gave a complimentary appetizer as we were waiting for good.

Good food.... Plenty of vegetarian options.... Pranathe, daal, paneer, naan were good Good location.... Paid street parking.... Restaurants was moved recently to a bigger place, the corner shop, 2 door next to the old one. Reducing 1 star because chai was not good and one of our pure vegetarian friend ordered a paneer dish but he was served with Chicken dish of the same type. He realised it after tasting that. Its a big issue for a religious vegetarian person, but the gentle guy politely returned the item. No apologies from the chef though for sending the wrong item.

Went to Lachi for the first time last night for dinner and was not disappointed! We had the dinner for two which could have easily fed three people. The Aloo Gobi was perfectly spiced and the Lamb Rogan Josh tender and delicious. The fluffy Garlic Naan was one of the best Ive had. They just moved into their new location which is very clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Will definitely return!

My favourite since it opened. The samosa , chilli chicken, butter chicken, cheese stuffed naan either cheddar mix or paneer. Consistent!! Great every time. Heatness levels available- I choose spicy. Their basmati rice is wonderfully light. The staff are very friendly and deserve five stars with out hesitation

I ordered the dinner special for pickup. It was ready within 25 minutes. The service was sparse with only 1 attending the pickups and phone orders and payments. Very polite indeed. Food was tasty and spicy. Portions worked well. Price was phenomenal at 35 dollars for 2 to dine. My first time ordering takeout and Im pretty sure it wont be the last.

Great food but why all the security cameras? a room off the main dining area looks like something out of a military installation .I guess they really want to monitor how much food you re eating.

Good Indian takeout. We had lamb jalfrezi, chicken korma, rice and naan - all good. For me the sauces both a bit too sweet, but my wife liked that - so depends on taste I guess. Good portions - enough for lunch tomorrow! Thanks.

Wow great flavours and very affordable dining, a definite must try. Spicy Dahl, tandoori shrimp and jeera rice with fresh roti. Friendly staff and the kitchen hit it bang on!

AMAZING FOOD! I had the Paneer Butter Masala (asked for spicy) and my partner had the Paneer Chilly (spicy as well). Both dishes were flavourful, good portion sized, and overall a wonderful dining experience. The garlic naan bread was also delicious. We were craving more for days afterwards. Highly recommend. Restaurant staff were attentive, accommodating and friendly.

Placed a delivery order last night at Lachi. Worst take out I ever had. Ordered 2 butter chicken suppers (not the special) 80 minutes later the delivery guy showed up with chicken that was so over cooked it was like rubber. Not even the sauce tendered it up over night. Aweful. This place is too hit or miss. Will not be dining in or ordering out from Lachi ever again.

Came here for lunch special ! Vegetable pakora is the best I ve ever had. We ordered the butter chicken with heat level 3 and for me it was perfect!

The best Indian food the wife and I have had in the last 10 years. In fact, when we come back here to visit relatives, we make sure we have a meal from here.

Normally love Lachi for take out. Food quality is excellent. Last time the order was botched a bit. Never got our rice and there was some miscommunication about the dinner special. However, they do offer good value and nice curries.

This is the best saffron rice Ive had was said at the table. And the butter chicken was flavorful and excellent. All dishes were good. Beef was a little tough, and spiciness 3 was a bit hot for us (above medium salsa level).

Made a lunch reservation. Was happy they asked for my vaccine passport and the Food was very good!

Went to Lachine for the first time and the restaurant had an amicable environment and courteous staff. The appetizers were delectable and the main course was sepid and appealing. The portion size was adequate. Garlic Naan and Dal Makhni really stood out and Kulfi at the end hammered the final nail for me.

Just passing through town and amazed by this place. Had the lunch special with butter chicken. Surprised how dark a red the sauce was for butter chicken but it was awesome. I couldn t stop dipping my hearty naan bread in it and wouldn t let go of my spoon. Tender chicken and light rice with a reasonable price. Very impressed. Will stop here again, maybe even on my way back.

I rarely give 5 star restaurant reviews. This place is amazing. As a South Asian person, I can vouch for the authenticity of the flavours. The menu has some unique items (like the mango chicken - highly recommended). The Naan is so fluffy, soft and light. Very fresh ingredients, good proportions, and very reasonable prices. The service is also very friendly and efficient. The only con is that they use Styrofoam for take out and that is a travesty. Please increase your prices for a few dollars, I would happily pay extra for that option! Looking forward to our leftovers for tomorrows dinner!!
