Boston Pizza in Penticton

Twice we have gone to this Boston pizza and the service was terrible, and it takes forever to get your food and you have to fight to get refills. They failed to remove our finished plates so I took them to another dirty table as I was tired of looking at them while my kids ate their kids meal ice cream. But make sure you give the default 20% tip.... Wont be back...

Just go near the mens bathroom, god forbid you go in , it absolutely stinks , always . I told the manager , we went back a few months later , and , same , the dining room near the washrooms and kitchen, stink . If they cant do something about the smell in the washrooms , i cant imagine what the kitchen is like . Wont eat there , disgusting

Farty vibes. Sports bar for kids. Had the gluten free pasta but if youd heard my butt last night youd absolutely agree that it did indeed contain gluten. It sounded like the Titanic lost in fog. At one point it startled my partner awake and he shouted ICEBERG AHEAD!. Went with friends, theyre cool, they get 5 stars out of 5.

Boston Pizza has been around for years and its the same old same old! With so may choices these days they are only average and over priced.

Being a vegetarian, I can be pretty sure that BP has some good choices for me. Got the spinach pasta bake. it came with garlic bread. Very nice. The waitress was very nice.

The waiter was being VERY disrespectful to the kids, they were looking for there drinks to get and then she for no reason just said I ll give u some more time really rude and walking away very rudely she could ve at least said do you guys need some more time or I ll give you guys some more time is that ok?

Hi folks , sorry I had a very unwelcoming experience here ,our server named Joanne was so impatient and rude , had no sense of how to deal with KIDS and handle guests in a group of 9 , its worth mentioning there were only 8 other guests in total to serve and they close at midnight...... I have more details to share. I have requested a call/ talk with manager ( was not there at the time ,working hours matter )

Typical Bosron Pizza. Did not disappoint. However I would prefer to see a little more clothing on the waitress.

Food was the best! Had a beginner Caesar salad, massive bacon and dressing! Then had the spinach and mushroom penne in a creamy pesto sauce. So good.

Just moved to town and decided to take my family out for lunch to celebrate my daughter finishing school at this Boston Pizza location. Unfortunatley, it was a terrible experience compared to other locations we have visited. -Arrived at 12 noon, waited 15 minutes at front door, nobody came to see us, had to flag down someone down, waited another 15 min before seated. (many seats available, no staff to service patrons) -Mens washroom was dirty and black marker graffiti on the wall/sign. Smelled like cleaner and urine, lack of maintenance here. -All the staff were miserable looking, like they hated working there, no good vibes, not a single employee was smiling. -It took 20 mins to get our drinks. -2 of our 3 dishes came out cold, after waiting forever, watched the staff walk by the food sitting at the counter multiple times, serving water to other patrons was more important apparently. (it actually sat there for a total of 15 mins, totally unacceptable) -Couldnt get a 2nd drink, the waitresses couldnt tell me what type of craft beer was on tap. So to recap, we left hungry (cold food sent back) and wasted 1.5 hours wondering why we came here to celebrate. I would recommend spending your time and money at local Penticton establishments, this franchise is clearly not managed properly and I feel bad for the staff having to endure such work conditions.

Food and atmosphere were decent. Service was a little slow. Finished our meals before the server came back and asked if we needed anything. Drinks were done for 20 plus minutes.

Went in for Lunch and food was good and service was good! Host however needs to learn manners, super rude and slammed the menus on the table and left. Didn t even get a hi how are you? When we came in and when we left just glared us down. Not impressed, the host needs to learn how to greet people into a restaurant not make them want to leave.

My family and some family friends and I all went out to the Boston Pizza in Penticton to celebrate the end of the school year my younger sister and her friend moving into the school up from elementary and myself moving into my grad year. We have been coming for about 3 years now and while we would have some minor bumps, they weren t enough to warrant our decision on what happened the last time we went . While I do understand staffing shortages, this was not the greatest. We had spent a total two hours there with one of our friends leaving after an hour because he had prior engagements that he couldn t miss we wound up getting his food packed up when it came. We had to ask servers for cutlery when it should have been put on our table after everyone s order was taken. People who came in after us were getting their food and leaving before us. And food was coming an hour after we had arrived; no one checked to see how the food was or if we needed anything else (ie. drink refills; asked for those and it took a solid 20 minutes before they arrived). Now you might be thinking I m being unfair. They re possibly short staffed and it could have been busy . Half of the dining area wasn t even being used and they had ~3 servers on to cover the smaller dining section that was used. And it was a fairly steady flow of people; not jam-packed but not deserted either. One of the servers threw several plates of food on our table with attitude. On top of what happened so far, they wanted us to tip ~18%. While the adults did dispute it and had the tip removed in the end, we sure as hell won t be coming back. I can understand being short staffed and it being jam-packed, but that doesn t excuse what happened. Thanks for the memories up until now; I think I ll choose to take my business elsewhere for my grad dinner next year.

It was understandably busy when we came in since it was Canada Day but the staff were so accommodating and did the best they could to be attentive. Food was amazing as always

The spaghetti meat balls were terrible they tasted like some freezer burned Dog food that you might be reluctant to serve even to your dog. Nothing fresh made here. Obviously shipped either raw frozen or partially cooked from tim bucktoo.Never again. Was going to order lasagna, however the noodles are not even lasagna noodles, round tube of some sort and yet they claim on their menu that they use lasagna noodles which in case Boston Pizza doesnt know are flat approximate two inhes wide by however long you want them. I have in the past eaten many enjoyable meals at Boston, however that is in the past now ,,,extremely lousyfood at that.At 25.dollars for spaghetti, what a RIPOFF AND TERRIBLE FOOD AS WELL. AGAIN NEVER AGAIN.

There was only one server on shift dealing with many tables and bartenders. The wrong burger was ordered by the server, having me wait while others almost finished their meals. Boston Pizza is usually known for good service but not at this location at lunch on a Saturday. Very disappointed and it wasnt the servers fault. Management step up!

Big Partys in Penticton is the place I stop coming from AB everytime when visiting my dying great auntie in the lovely sunshine town. She loves the cold iced teas and the servers dont look at me weird when I soak the bandera bread in the water cups so she can swallow it. Thanks BPs!

Great location and ownership. The inclusive people of bc arent that tolerant and show their true colors. Stop by for some great wings and pizza if your passing through

Appy hour. Over-charged on nachos and double the price for the quacamole. It was the same size as the other two sides so we expected it to be $2.29 extra.

It would be nice if they gave service sat in there for 25 minutes no one even said hi. Then the server serves a table that just got sat. I would understand if it was busy but there was only 4 tables eating food and at least 4 servers who cleaned tables not served customers.

The one server was rude

Penticton Soupateria has better food than this place. The jambalaya has processed meat. Its says grilled chicken breast. Not so its cold cut chicken meat. Slow service. More over 10 people thay want a 18% service charge. What a rip off. Check the bill always. Be afraid This sign is under the front desk. See how the 16 was changed to 18% . So low even a seeing eye dog would not see it.

I had rated Boston pizza quite highly in my former review,for some reason I cant leave a second review. We chose Bostons for my birthday get together,friends and family came in at different times and ordered their food and drinks. When my son showed up we were told we would have to pay an 18 percent service fee,my friend told him that a forced tip was unconstitutional and we will tip by quality of service.he said it was their policy and a sign is posted up front,I asked to see the sign.we went up to the front where he pointed out a sign about 6 inches long in the far right corner under the counter top.the sign said an 18 percent service fee would be added to groups over 10. I asked him why is he even bringing this up? We are a group of 10..not over 10 as stated.manager does not even understand their own policies..my get together was pretty much ruined. I cant even remember what I ate. My friend contacted H.O to complain and was told that the manager was claiming that my friend shoved him! What a gong show! Friend said to get the video coverage and have him charged if that is what he did..they said alleged.we saw what was transpiring and there was no altercation.he just went and looked at the sign. We did still tip as the service wasnt bad til that point. unfortunately it will be unlikely we will return.

Ordered takeout. Was 2 hours late and cold. Not impressed.

I like a few dishes from BP, but its getting tougher and tougher to go. No idea what is going on but the service seems to always be terrible. It was terrible before the pandemic, during and even worse post pandemic. I went to the Penticton location today and my wife tagged along (who is not a fan) and sure enough it was brutal. It took 45 minutes to get our food with zero explanation or an apology when it finally arrived at our table. For context people who were seated after us were half done their meals by the time we got our food. To take it one step further, when our order was finally dropped off there was zero interaction with staff after that. Nobody asked if we needed anything (drink refill, napkins, salt etc.). It was a drop and run. Absolutely brutal service. I wont step foot in this location again and will be thinking twice before I go to another BP period. BP needs to start adding drive throughs to their locations as they are overpriced (and not a little) fast-food and not much else.

When we were told our wait time at first they told us 10-15 min and ended up waiting 45min before we decided to leave, the place is under bad management. I wish I could give them 0 stars for service

This whole experience wasnt good. Our servers were good when I seen them. The first one took our drinks and then food and then when they were at the table beside us asked if the food was good and we never seen him again. Then he got off his shift. We got another guy it was confusing. I wanted put food packed up and it was all thrown away I expressed that I wanted to take the food home. He then got my son his food but I never got my pasta. I paid for my sons food becuase I thought it was just my food he was Making to find I got 2 pizzas. I was done. I didnt say anything. Paid 40 bucks for 1 adult and a child. And I didnt even get to eat my food. I wanted to take it home. This was awful experience. dont think Im coming back.

You cant go wrong. The service gets backed up but the food is always A+.

I ordered 1 Large pepperoni pizza directly from the BP website last night (thursday) I spent almost $40 for this 1 ONE TOPPING pizza. I was astonished at the price, but did it anyways as a treat for my son and I. I received a barely lukewarm, greasy pizza, with cheese that was no longer melted! I called right away to have this dealt with, and there was no answer so I left a message. On that message I said I was okay if they couldnt return my call immediately because I had an appointment to get to, but that I would appreciate a call back this morning (friday). I still have not received the call back. This is awful customer service, and the fact that this restaurant thought it was reasonable to send me that pizza for $40 shows terrible judgement. I wont be spending another penny here.

After an additional 20 minutes to get our food. Our food was cold, missing dips we ordered and paid for. Really just a bad experience again at this establishment.

Never again. Order pasta on pasta tues supposed to be 14.99. 10$ for extra cheese. When call back to fix the prob get told too bad it s already started 5 min after ordering. And a manager that thinks they can try and bully you into paying for it. Nice try order cancelled

Sadly the service was awful, I believe our servers name was taylor, we only saw her twice and it was for our food order and for bill, she never got us refills, forgot to bring us drinks, never cleared our plates or empty glasses, and hardly spoke to us. She looked extremely grumpy and unhappy to be there. Next time we will just order takeout.

I live in Winnipeg, visiting Penticton. My favorites are the meateor, and wings. My order of the same looked, and tasted just like the quality I always enjoy!

I picked up dinner for three. Staff were friendly. I paid the bill and the server behind the cash register said how much change do you want back? I started to say five, meaning that would be the tip but before I could finish my sentence he handed me $5 and kept almost $8 for their tip jar. I was so flabbergasted that I just walked out with my food. (That is one question that should never be asked!) Also, I was not given the receipt, thats why I placed a review here. And, if there is a next time -things will be very different.

So hey I don t usually go to Boston Pizza and haven t for years, but I m happy that I did, I had a grilled chicken club sandwich and it was so good! My waitress was super nice, helpful and food came nice and fast. Great service and food!

Came in to celebrate my birthday unfortunately the service was slow and the food took FOREVER (there were only three other tables sat so no excuse for being busy). Pretty sure our waitress forgot to put our food in then blamed it on the kitchen, we ended up having to ask the bar tender if we could just get our food to go as our server was MIA. Definitely don t recommend this location, super disappointed as I m a usual a big fan of Boston pizza.

Pizza, nachos and lasagna tasted great service was good, it was slightly crowded and we had to wait a bit to get in.

No air conditioning in 30 plus degree weather. Apparently not been working for a few days. Dont order anything hot or you will melt. You cant enjoy anything hot when you are sweating on your food. Felt sorry for the staff having to work in that heat. Saw table after table leave. Food is always good and our server was great. Poor girl was so hot!! Should atleast put a sign on the door to let the customers know.

Recently had dinner at Nordel store in Surrey B.C. Kalei was our server. She was on point and took care of our needs. My son has disabilities and she went over and beyond to accommodate him . Wasnt what it used to be. Prices seemed very over priced for the items offered, which felt limited. Service was okay but mediocre, or less (and yes I was paying attention to how busy the restaurant appeared to be etc) All in all, we wont be back anytime soon (family of 5; 2 adults w/ 3 kids 10 and under) ((Was a birthday celebration and was given a small brownie on the house when it used to be a small pizza!? )

Not a bad spot for a bite!

I often choose BP as the food is consistently good. Not great, but good. This site was no exception. I was a bit surprised when I asked a male server if he could change one of the tvs so I could watch the end of the Steelers game and he asked me what sport it was. So this is a twenty something working in a BP Lounge and he didnt know who the Steelers are???

Great place to take the kids for a family meal or to celebrate! Wish we could ve sat in the restaurant vs the lounge, not sure why it was closed. Either way, we had a good time! Kid-friendliness: Huge selection for the kids, even larger portions for older kids. Very accommodating to larger groups of kiddos, too!

Most importantly... this review is for Daxton. We are here visiting, and its been a good and not so good visit here in Penticton. Daxton was such a delight after having a very long and emotional day. He totally made our evening with his charm and excellent service. Thank you for a wonderful end to our day and for your effort to fix my meal situation. Most of our food was really good. Sadly, my food was very disappointing. I ordered my favorite Big dipper and I couldnt eat the 2nd half of the sandwich. Im not going into details but please.... be aware of quality when making it in the future.

Put and order through Skip. Once again, parts of the order were missing, and portions were half of what we would have got in restaurant for the same price. Happens everytime. Not worth ordering to go. For the cost of their food you would think they would be more dilegent in making sure the orders are correct and properly portioned.

I don t know what is with the reviews here but I have to say my pasta was cooked perfectly. The staff at the front was absolutely lovely. Don t be afraid to go here! 5 stars, y all.

Brought my sons hockey team here for a team dinner - staff was amazing! The BP team worked collaboratively with us to pre-order all the meals and everything went off without a hitch. Food was amazing, but staff was even better!

We were in Penticton for a hockey tournament, and our team needed somewhere that could accommodate such a large group (players and their families) for lunch. Sony, the manager went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. She communicated the arrangements all while traveling! Our lunch went so smoothly, and the food and service were great. A big thank you again to Sony and her staff, our team really appreciated it!

Terrible, late service and they did not have the food which was on menu. This totally ruined the night for the family. And to top it off, the staff seamed to be happy that we were leaving without eating and not there to bother them.

Fantastic food and service

Stopped in twice during vacation, first week of August. First time was great no issue waitress got everything right without issues, my family and i went back a second time because of the great service and had partial meals served, never did get everything we ordered and the food was, lets just say not up to par. Would i go back? Maybe they just had a bad day and under staffed. just giving 3 stars because of it.

We ordered take-out tonight and the shrimp was forgotten for the shrimp tacos (understandable as they were very busy) I called and they were very apologetic and within 20 minutes they delivered the shrimp plus a $$ off coupon for our next order. Food was great. Drinks were horrible can make a better ceasar at home. Not busy but the service was slow.

Worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. Maybe 20 customers in restaurant had to get my own water for my table walked up to someone cleaning off a table just to ask for a to go container and the bill if I was able to give 0.00 for a tip I would have. But I had to give something due to the machine. It wasn t due to lack of staff either I seen at least 10 employees walking around chatting in the back.

My favorite is the chicken pecan salad. Tasty and filling.

Talked on the phone with jacob I accidentally got bone wings instead of boneless and he was super helpful and got me my proper wings right away and super friendly and super chill all around good experience u guys are awesome

Good food and service as we have come to expect. They have Rickarts Red on tap which I prefer. Their baked pasta dihes are great! Do not sit too near the front entry in winter. The cold air blows right into the sports bar area. Just about froze my legs. Ill never sit in that booth again in the winter!

~ Food initially came out to table - cold; requested server take it back to kitchen to heat up in microwave; brought back, warm. Also, absolutely no flavor. I was tired and hungry, so, yes I ate it, I told my server when I finished about my experience and they just said that they are understaffed.

Service was good. Worst $30 pizza I ve had in quite a while. Almost no sauce, the crust has changed for the worse, and the amount of toppings has gone down as well. Brutal when you realize you can get a much better pizza at most pubs/breweries around town for ten dollars cheaper.
