Pizzeria Tratto Napoletana in Penticton

They serve great pizza here, and the service is excellent. Naples style pizza, served relatively quick, and delicious. A great experience overall and very worth returning to. Wine was served nicely and the buy a bottle get a free pizza night was a good motivator. The place gets busy though. And loud. We were able to converse, but you wouldnt call it an intimate dining experience. Its more typical of your modern high ceiling and very open room dining. If you know that going in and are fine with it, its a great place to get together with people and have a long eat and visit, but you may have to speak up. The pizza, wine, and espresso were great. Tiramasu is fantastic if not a bit big. Depending on the kind of eater you are, maybe split it (or just get it to go, bonus!). Dont reduce the size on my account! The mixed olives was a bit of a let down though, and I wish it wasnt, because this would be a 5 star for sure otherwise. There were two different kinds of olives in it, and nothing else. Other reviews show between 5 and 7 different olives or things (pearl onions) in the same dish. Maybe we hit it on a bad night, but would have appreciated if the server explained they were low on olive variety if that was the case. Will return though, and very excited too!

We make a stop here every time we come through town. Chris greeted us at the door, as per usual. Chris always stands out and is genuine, not fake like what is all to common when its time to pay the bill. It is evident they take pride in the job they do. The appetizer and pizza was excellent as usual. See you next year.

Went on a Tuesday pizza and wine deal and was awesome, best buratta in the Okanagan, pizza was great and the room is full of great staff. Would make the trip from Kelowna anytime.

Feel like youve made it at this authentic Italian pizza with wide range of wines from local to global. Recently celebrating their fifth anniversary with free pizza and guest chefs, they also boast a variety of beers and other delicious food and drink including an amazing tiramisu. Outdoor seating available too, with heaters in colder weather, water mist in hotter.

So I have ordered takeout 3x and the pizza were just pretty average. They always seem undercooked and the toppings are a little sparse. I get it they give preference to dine in customers, but I expect more when the pizza are $25+ each and Im leaving a tip! Penticton could use more pizza competition.

Best pizza i have ever had. We go there often and are never disappointed. And the tiramisu is the best besides my husbands. If you havent tried their food yet, you should. You wont be disappointed.

Multiple people in town said we should check this place out. We almost didnt go because we didnt like the look of the pizza on the webage or reviews. However, we gave in. The food is absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly. The ambiance is fantastic. We will be back. We had a sausage pizza and a meatball appetizer. Oh my goodness.... yumm!

Delicious pizza. Tonight the service was exceptional. Their selection of Italian wines was top notch. Our server, Joel, was outstanding. The food as usual was the best pizza in town. Ill be back!

First off, the pizza dough feels low quality and VERY dry. The only thing I recommend is Ceasar salad or meatballs. The server we had was standoffish and rude. Atmosphere was VERY LOUD to the point where its better texting or writing notes to the people at your table and claustrophobic when busy. And one couple could not control their 3 kids. I had the diavola with extra sausage and an ice cold beer. Nice wine selection. Sylvie took very good care of me and suggested the plum cake dessert which was tasty. All good!

Great place, good food, not a place for young kids gets crazy loud even at half capacity. Nice drink selection, good specials. Only qualms I have is a certain server who is very confrontational/abrupt, three times of dining in and she was rude about us not being ready to order and also acted surprised and annoyed when we were waiting for a table and not take out. Ill keep going back but ya maybe thats who she is but both parties with me at seperate times found it off-putting.

My wife and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Pizza was very good and a nice choice of locally made craft beers.

Great place to get a pizza and have an evening out. The place was busy with a lot going on. The service was great and our server was awesome. Lots of good options for pizza. They were all delicious. We were hoping for Cannolis afterwards, but they dont have them anymore.

Ate here with friends recently and was very impressed. Everything on the menu looked amazing but we settled on the server recommnded red wine, and pizzas to share of the Sausage & Smoke, the Okangan Garden & the Hawaiian. All were amazing. It was packed but the service was still quick and friendly. Will definetly go back.

Fresh gourmet pizza cooked in a real stone oven. What more can you want! Great service completes the package. We had the warm organic ricotta w honey & olive oil & Tratto bread to start, followed by the Bee Sting Pizza (Tomato sauce, fior di latte, gorgonzola, prosciutto, local honey & chilli). Impressive and extensive wine list as well. I highly recommend stopping for Pizza and wine.

I was in Penticton for a night. I had a pizza, a glass of wine, and dessert. Despite being a solo diner and the restaurant being very busy when I arrived, the hostess and server made me feel very welcome (not always the case when I m solo at a nice restaurant). The pizza was fantastic, and I received an excellent wine suggestion

Great food and an excellent service team. I came in from out of town and was given all kinds of suggestions to make my stay as fun as possible by multiple members of their team. The service was quick and they work great as a team during busy times to get the job done. I enjoyed it so much I came twice during my short stay, highly recommend.

Tratto is my favourite restaurant in all of Penticton. Their appetizers are amazing, their pizza is incomparable, and their bottle shock deal is the best. We enjoy it often. But my absolute favourite thing about Tratto is their cannolis. I was DEVASTATED to say the least when I went in to order cannolis this evening and was told that they have been taken off the menu. I love Tratto so much that I even recommend it to my tables and I work at a DIFFERENT RESTAURANT. It will cause me too much heartbreak to return without being able to order cannolis. Not to mention they do not do takeout over the phone, but they also do not answer the phone in order to answer my questions so I drove all the way across town to be stabbed in the back. I m begging you. Please bring back the cannolis.As much as I love Tratto I am announcing this as my official boycot. I will add the last star when cannolis are put back on the menu.

The sauce, salami, and other toppings are all fresh, not jarred, and taste excellent. The pizza arrived quickly and hot in spite of it being very busy. I would absolutely come here again.

This is definitely one of if not the best pizza place in Penticton. My partner is gluten intolerant so we hadnt tried this place because they do not offer GF base... However!! The flour they use in their pizza is imported from Italy and it is a lot easier on the stomach and we were able to eat the regular dough no problem!! We have heard other people who are gluten intolerant say the same. The pizza is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is fun and inviting. Definitely reccomend

Fine dont trust me came to this restaurant 3 years ago and have dreamed about it for the 3 years I have been away. Must say I was extremely disappointed that the Caesar salad was only served with kale when I could get a Caesar salad for the same price anywhere else in town. None of the evening salads were served at lunch which was what I was extremely looking forward to. Pizza quality was excellent as always and so was our server and chef.

Best Italian pizza in town. Great restaurant with authentic Italian pizza (I was born and raised in Italy). Often busy in the summer but we never had trouble finding a table. Dont bother with other pizza places in town. The food is really good so we ll definitely be back.

Tried Tratto for the first time, for takeout. The King Shrooms pizza was delicious, albeit soggy with oil that completely soaked the box. The Hawaiian was just so-so in flavour with a crust that was too burnt to eat. The cannoli was spectacular. We would do takeout from here again.

Really good pizza

Went there to pick up some pizza and stopped by for a beer until they were ready. The server / owner (?) was so nice! Very welcoming with a smile on his face, gave us tips on the area we were visiting. It s so nice to see people happy doing what they do and translate this into such a welcoming experience. Thanks so much for the great service! Oh and side note - the pizzas were delicious :). Will definitely be back!

Fun little restaurant. Open style kitchen where you can see your pizzas getting made. Extensive wine list with really lovely options. Service was excellent. Pizzas were pretty good, tiramisu was ok, cannolis were amazing. Recommend the pistachio cannoli.

Food is pretty good and never had a bad dish. Pizza is cooked in the way I like it (Neopolitan style) but that is not for everyone. What stops this place from being great instead of good is the very inconsistent wait times for food. Sometimes it takes over an hour to get a pizza which takes 90 seconds to bake, and that is a no go for anyone with kids or those who get hangry. Rolling the dice if you have to wait for over an hour to get food is not great which stops us from going more often.

Loved it! Busy on a Thursday but got a seat right away, we got 2 pizzas the Okanagan and a sausage pizza with a bottle of wine, Delish... So so good, the server was friendly and prompt, food was quick. Apparently a wine BTL and pizza special Mon and Tues will have to come back for that !!

Busy little pizza parlour. The place was packed but they found us a table. We had the special for both the appetizer and entree. The appetizer was a potato dish with a creamy garlic -parmesan sauce. The entree was an Alfredo pizza with an egg at the centre. Both dishes were delicious. We really enjoyed watching the cooks prepare the food in the open kitchen while they interacted with guests that were sitting near the kitchen prep area. Tratto isnt just a place to have a meal but to have an experience.

Excellent flavours and had the chewy delicious crust, I expect in this style of pizza. We ordered take out and the recommended method of popping it back in the oven when we got home, was great advice. We had the arugula salad with the lemon vinaigrette and sundries tomatoes, that cut the the richness of the pizza, very well and the simplicity was a great addition. The staff all looked engaged and happy when we popped in to pick up our food and it was ready right when they said it would be. The online ordering wasn t too bad at all.

If you like authentic hand tossed wood baked pizza THIS is the place. Their wine list is amazing - beautiful Italian and local wines. Service is always above and beyond. BUT my favourite of all is the Burrata Bomb. It is the secret of life!!

Tratto is the best restaurant in Penticton - even maybe in the Okanagan?! The drinks are phenomenal, the food is unbelievable, and the service rivals both. Our server was the really tall guy, and he provided great recommendations for drinks and food, and was personable and fun. We will be back!

We ordered takeout from Tratto after it had come recommended to us from some locals. We ordered a Bee Sting and vegetarian pizza, both of which were okay, but not the best pizza. The actual restaurant was really cute, had a very nice atmosphere and wed like to dine in maybe next time, however the wait time was fairly long and the pizza was a letdown.

Everything was good. We ordered Capricciosa and Margherita and Napoletana. Love the Capricciosa. It was savory and flavorful. The pizzas are very thin and saucy the kind I like. They make it right in the middle of the restaurant. Nice to dine there too. Service was good.

SOOOO GOOD. GO GO GO!! We dropped in for dinner yday. We didn t have a reso and there were people already waiting. We put our name on the list and went for a walk. We walked max 20 min when we got called back. Our server was lovely and so fun. We got the ricotta and bread then the specials - a delicious goat cheese & beet salad and a pep/ham/honey/jalapeño pizza. DELICIOUS. Our toddler had a margarita pizza. We will definitely be back!

It was raining today so my husband and I found this pizza place online. We decided to try as the rating was high and said the best place in town. I have to say it was one of the worst pizzas I ever tasted. I originally wanted to order the Okanogan Garden but was convinced by the server to try the Ortolana instead. I was told that it would be garlicky and a bit spicy. I found it way to oily and got the oil all over my new clothes. I almost thought their was pork oil in the pizza as the oil tasted that way. I was assured that it did not. I later looked up caciocavallo which is a cheese in the pizza that is supposed to tasted spiced so maybe this is the reason. Anyway it was definitely not for me!

So good! I ordered the Salami & Olives pizza and added honey to my order. I am not afraid to admit that I douse the pizza in the chili oil they provide because it s too dang good. I usually take a slice or two to go and make sure to slop them up with more oil before they re packed up.

Phenomenal pizza

Good traditional pizza, cool ambience. Service was ok, staff and chef got really concerned about our 2 year old playing with a ball of pizza dough while waiting for our meals (perhaps a kid not glued to a tablet is stressful for them) and asked us to make sure he would not make a mess. One pizza arrived with a 15cm long hair under the prosciutto, they replaced it very quickly. The boy had a blast with the dough and sent it back at the end without a hair in it after 2 hours of playing...

Got take out and heavily disappointed. Ordered 2 pizzas and tipped 25% and still ended up with the wrong pizzas. Received something with anchovies and was honestly inedible despite loving them. It was way way to salty to the point my tongue feels burned two days later (only submitting a review because google notified). Even after taking them off i decided to finish since it was ok . The sauce itself tasted like No frills no name canned sauce. Dough was undercooked in the middle, paid 4$ for some cheese and maybe had 2 thumb print size pieces. I don t want to shame the place because maybe the entire style just wasn t for me. I m also sure i could ve walked another 35 mins to get a new pizza. But for a place where u can t even stand inside, there s nowhere to sit outside, no shade, and still gotta use an oven to reheat (legit says on the box how to heat it up since u get it room temp at best) just wasn t worth it.

Best Italian style pizza in Penticton. I went to Italy this summer and I have to say this pizza might even be better than the ones there!

Our food was delicious when it finally arrived. The table next to us ordered their food immediately after us but received their food more than 30 minutes before us. Our server avoided us until it was time to deliver our food with little to no apology for the wait. I would recommend take out as the food is fantastic but take out orders fly out faster than the orders in the restaurant.

Food was good but took a ridiculously long time. Tables around us seated at the same time ate and paid before we got our food. I understand its busy, but acknowledgement and an apology wouldve made all the difference. Server wasnt very attentive.

The service was fantastic from start to finish, the wine selection was excellent and the servers knowledge of said wine list was astonishing. When the Pizza arrived the Chef personally recommended an infused oil to go with it which was a great suggestion it paired beautifully. From my experience across BC and my culinary training this was the best Pizza Ive ever had the pleasure of eating. And the desserts kept the momentum going. I cannot recommend Tratto enough. A must visit when you come through Penticton.

We have visited this place recently, 3 moms and 4 kids, we had separate bills, but because we had more then 6 people sitting at the same table we have been charged an automatic gratuity, which we dont mind at all, but 25% tip is unreasonable.

Had a really great dinner here last night. Its a nice atmosphere, and despite being short on people (like a lot of restaurants these days), the staff HUSTLED; really want to commend everyone for doing an amazing job and smiling through the pain. Our servers were lovely, and the hostess really kept things moving. Our food came out pretty quick and our pizza was delicious. Will definitely be back.

Easily the best pizza in Penticton and judging by how packed they usually are, the People of Penticton agree! They serve authentic, wood fired pizzas in a relaxed, cozy atmosphere with local beer and wine at reasonable prices. What more do you need? Deducting one star as our server wasnt the friendliest, and ignored our request to turn on the patio heater on a cooler night when we last visited in the spring. However the Hostess was completely the opposite, she was chipper and chatty with everyone as she worked diligently at getting everyone in the long line seated as efficiently as possible.

Everything was delicious and the service was great!

Stopped in at Tratto on a recommendation from a friend. The place has great staff and a fun vibe... But the pizza was absolutely fantastic, the best pizza I have ever had! To go along with the pizza, they also have a great wine list and servers educated in their offerings!

Very busy pizzareia, Amazing pizzas and salad, great gem in Penticton! Must go to place to eat!

Mamma mia! The moment I stepped into Tratto Pizzeria in Penticton, I felt like I was back in the heart of Napoli! The aroma of the pizza, so authentic, with the perfect crispy crust and those divine toppings. Bellissimo! I havent tasted pizza this magnificent outside of Italy. And let me tell you, the service? Fantastico! Its like being served by family. The ambiance? Molto stylish and cool, just like a modern ristorante in Milan. If youre in the Okanagan and craving a slice of Italy, look no further! Tratto Pizzeria is a 5-star experience. Bravo!
