Good wings terrible service. Our bartender was miserable and continued to forget our drinks. I spent more time with an empty glass here than anywhere in my life, not to mention just trying to get my bill from her was a marathon.

This Match location is not as good as Vernon but way better than Kelowna! In Kelowna it just really lacks. Service today in Penticton was at least average but the burger I had for only 18 dollars with fries and beer included was excellent! Enjoyed some good company too and watched a bit of football.

Worst service we have ever had... ordered 3 appies... got 1 after 1/2 hour... finally complained after an hour waiting for the other 2... lettuce wraps were terrible as were the wings...a place we visit and eat at every year more than once.. not sure that will continue

Manager was rude to waitress in front of us. Ordered Thai chicken bites and when we got it, it tasted like fish . Soo gross. Wont be returning

I had a very pleasant experience with our server. Her name was Kelsey and she was very lively and accommodating. However, the hostess was quite rude and dismissive. If we had more of Kelsey s kindness throughout the whole experience, I would ve given 5 stars

I am not one to complain. But by far, Kelsey from Match Penticton was one of the worst servers I have ever had. We had a table of 10, upon arriving, the table was filthy with pollen, the seats, the table and underneath the table was disgusting. She also had NO idea that we even had a reservation. We had asked Kelsey to clean the table, which she did, but that s about where the service ends. Throughout the entire night, Kelsey was completely frazzled and confused. The service was incredibly slow, which fair enough they re understaffed but that is not an excuse for terrible service. We had asked for a simple slice of lemon for water three times, and she STILL forgot to bring it. We had to ask again to ensure she brought it. She also messed up one of our orders, by bringing the wrong thing completely. I had asked her to switch to a different meal, all of us at this point had received our meal. After a circus of back and forths of her forgetting things and everyone was done their meal I decided to tell her to forget about the peanut chicken salad. At this point any sensible server would apologize and give us the meal, and waive it from the bill. She herself said that she would bring a box for us with the salad and waive it from the bill, she did not. The worst part is, she charged us. When it came to paying for the meal, this is when chaos ensued. I asked her where our peanut chicken salad was, she aggressively responded saying why would you get that if you didn t pay for it after SHE made the mistake. I told her respectfully, I don t think we should be paying the 18% gratuity. From that point, she started to argue with us about how she thinks she s a good server. I asked her wouldn t it be up to the people you re servicing to decide how good of a server you are? . Hilariously, after her comment, there were MANY back and forths of her messing people s bills up. When I went to go report this to the manager, the manager had no clue what was going on either. She stared at me like I was an idiot, but we never received the peanut chicken salad that we ordered. The food was okay at best. I ordered a hot honey Nashville sandwhich and just got a fried chicken sandwhich. I highly recommend not eating at this restaurant. And if you specifically get Kelsey, ask for somebody else.

I went for pasta and was very surprised at the freshness of the food and a good portion for $22.... the server (Amanda) was very efficient. I will definitely go again!

Made an online order through SkipTheDishes. Our driver waited for nearly 30 minutes at the restaurant for our food to be prepared. Took over an hour from start of order to receive it. Not SkipTheDishes fault. After receiving the food, it was as if it sat under a headlamp inside the box. Burgers, soggy. Fries, soggy. Ravioli, tough as rubber. Marinara sauce was obviously watered down. We use to enjoy this place, loved the food. Shame to see the quality took a complete 180° turn.

Went with some friends before a concert and were in a rush. Our waitress Rose was awesome! She had everything ready to go so we didnt have to wait and was very friendly and attentive. I had the club sandwich which was delicious and their shoestring fries are so good!

Visit here at least once every two weeks when in town. My husband loves there burgers and I love Wednesday pasta and half price wine. Rose was our waitress last time we were there and was amazing.

Ive been wanting to try it for my birthday as Id never been and heard they even do a free birthday cake. I had to go a couple days after my birthday as I wasnt feeling well. They refused to do it and said it has to be on the day. Has free wifi.

We were at the Mat h Penticton on Jan 21. There were 8 adults and 2 children. We were so disappointed as we had guests from Ontario.This luncheon was for our daughters 30th bday and grandsons 9th. Food was cold and when we asked to speak to a manager she seemed annoyed that we were bothering her. She asked if I wanted a new piece of fish I said yes but when that took another .5 hr I said.forget it. We had to hunt our server down for drinks as the whole table was sitting there empty.it was a major deal to get my dinner which I did not eat off the check. Was charged for the new piece of fish which I didnt get. Finally got bill fixed after 10 min.All in all a very disappointing afternoon

Table for 2. We both ordered Fish & Chips for $21 .used to be $17.50 and the pieces of fish were smaller than my iPhone. We always order the fish & chips and used to get decent fish pieces. We immediately had to mention to our waitress who was very understanding and agreed it was unacceptable. She said both plates of fish portions should never have left the kitchen and she asked for another 2 pieces to be put down in the fryer to make up for the small pieces. I appreciate that the waitress made it rightful for our lunch the best she could. However we came back a week later and nothing changed. Same small pieces of fish with just much more fries it seems for $21. So I can t order this anymore, very disappointing that the portions of product get smaller, simply toss in more fries, and updated menu prices go up to now $21.50

I was at the casino today with my Besty and we decided to pop down to Match to grab a bite to eat. The dry ribs were really good and the fish tacos would ve been good except they were really cold. I told the bartender that they were cold, and I just couldn t eat them. My friend tried them as well, and she thought they were horrible just because they were so cold in the middle. He gave me a bunch of excuses why they were cold but finally I just told him I couldn t eat them. And he took it back. He took it off our bill and we thought everything was fine. We went back to the casino, and I had a soda water while I played the slot machines for about an hour. When I went to the bar in the casino to order a drink, the server tried to cut me off saying they had a 45 minute rule where you were only allowed to have one drink every 45 minutes. I was like ok why are you telling ME this? this will be my fourth drink, and I ve already been here for five hours . I just spent an hour drinking a soda water. Then she did the same thing to my friend. She said sometimes people hop back-and-forth between Match and the casino drinking more than they are supposed to. Again I was like what does this have to do with me? We realized that the bartender from match must ve called her and told her that we had several drinks when we were there? Or that we were hopping back-and-forth? Both which were absolutely not true. we each only had one drink at match. It was weird and insulting.

Not happy at all with our brunch experience. We ordered bacon and eggs. Over medium eggs were way over fried. Bacon was barely a whole piece of over cooked stuck together grease. The fruit cup was not fresh at all, strawberry pieces were dried out. Multigrain toast was ok but the butter had a funny taste. Our service was nothing to remember. Pretty disappointing overall. We will not be going back unfortunately. So many other places in town that never disappoint.

The food was better than anticipated and the service was very friendly. My only complaint would be that it took over 40 minutes to get our meals. We still managed to get to our event in time though, thank goodness!

Worst service Ive ever experienced in my entire life. Took almost an hour to get drinks served, food that was given to our table of 10, 6 dishes were cold, fries were stale, bread was rock solid. Asked for the manager to speak with her and she tried to feed us some nonsense saying it was busy in there when there was maybe 1/4th of the restaraunt filled. The manager then backpedalled and said they only have two cooks in, which is still no excuse as to why it took so long to get drinks served and refilled thereafter. I will never sit down in this place ever again. Would give zero stars if it was an option. Stay away from this pile of an establishment and spend your money elsewhere.

Was very disappointed in the way things were handled at this restaurant today. Was not busy when we went in, 8 of us adults, two kids. Waited 10 minutes to get our first drink. We had to flag down our waitress/other waitresses to get refills on our drinks - which then took 20 minutes to get to the table each round. Waited over an hour for food, to only have half of the meals come out cold and the bread for the sandwiches rock hard. One of our party had politely requested a new peice of fish - this also took another 20 minutes to come out, only to come after everyone was finished eating. We only ate the food that we did because it was our first meal of the day and were starving. My parents didnt even get the desserts they ordered, and had to remind the server of their starter salads; as they were in the back eating and texting. A few of us have been servers before for many years and know a bit of communication if you are short staffed in the kitchen can go a long way. That, and keeping up with drinks. Management was very short with attitude when we voiced our concerns. On top of this, they tried to make us tip an 18% gratuity onto our bill which was very much undeserved. We will be contacting the head office after todays disaster.

Visiting from another province my family was taking us to a restaurant and to explore through the town. Upon arrival we sat for quite some time before being offered drinks. We ordered and about 10 minutes after ordering they came back to tell us there s no pizza anymore and we needed to replace the order. After that we didn t see our waitress. To get our next round of drinks we had to go find our waitress where we then continued to wait. Drinks finally arrived but none of the empty cups were taken until requested and having to request the appetizers. By the time our food for there the majorly of the 10 people who were there had entrees arrive cold we reached out to speak to the on shift manager who was nothing short of rude and unhelpful. No apology or concern ( I should add in it was not busy there was a few tables in and our server was seen spending more time in the back snacking). When offered to replace the food one person took the option as many of us had to eat and go. And after 15 more minutes it hasn t arrived we canceled it. When it was time to go everyone s bill was wrong, they were charging to replace the food they served cold and along with serving an attitude when we mentioned mistakes. There was minimal compensation and no apologized. As a visitor from another province I wouldn t recommend this and also wish we had chosen somewhere else. The staff could use a review on customer service and hospitality.

Poutine was amazing. Nachos were a little questionable. Cheese tasted fake, like it was from a can. And the chicken tasted like my dogs food.

I am gluten free and Match offers a menu of very tasty options. Top it off with their exceptional service and happy hour drinks and you can count on a perfect evening out .

Literally the worst service Ive ever had. The waitress didnt take our order for a full 30 minutes after we finally got our drinks. If I could give less stars I would. Nearly two hours for a burger and fries is absolutely absurd.

If zero stars was an option I would use that. Absolutely terrible service. We sat for 45 minutes before a server came and took our order after serving 3 tables that were seated after us before we were even considered and I had to stare the waitress down to get that. By far some of the worse service I have ever received at any restaurant or eatery ever. Yes it was busy but it wasnt that busy when we were sat.

*UPDATE* We were never contacted about this review. We reached out and never heard back either. I stand behind my review 100%. We will never return to this restaurant. Horrible servers/managers with attitude that feel entitled to tell you they are accommodating you by allowing you to sit at their restaurant. We showed up with a party of 15 (4 were kids) and sat at 3 separate tables, no reservation so it was no problem, we expected to be split up and we expected some wait times. After 20 minuted of waiting, because less than half of us had been asked to order drinks, one of our party members at table 2 said to a passing server excuse me, can you please get us our waitress so we can order some drinks she was immediately confrontation in her response of trying to accommodate us as they were short staffed (Restaurant was at 50% capacity) and she would get our server when she could. Our server then walked up to table 1 and said Im here to take your dinner order. I started to explain from table 2 that we had not put in our drink orders yet and would like too do that first. Once again we got thw response that they were trying to Accommodate us. I then asked that she stop using the word accommodate because we were just three tables and we werent asking for special treatment, or to be seated at one table. We were just asking that we get drinks before they take dinner orders for 1/3 of our party. The waitress then said she was going to get another server to deal with us. Then the manager walked up to table 1 again to see what the issue was. I said we were just trying to get drink orders in since we had been waiting for 20mins and that I didnt appreciate them continually saying they were trying too accomodate us because we werent asking for special treatment we were just asking for any sort of service. He then said that they would comp our drinks (the 5 that had drinks) but that they asked that we find somewhere else to eat. We walked out and a portion of us went to Earls where we received exceptional service and tipped heavily on a bill of $600+

The Chicken Club was dry and the chicken was shredded so fine it was falling out of the sandwich. Worst food Ive ever had at a Matches. Told the waitress , she said shed tell the kitchen, didnt make the sandwich any better.

Made a reservation and was seated on time drink and food order taken within 15 mins. But then everything after that was horrible. No more service and food order never showed up after 1 hour. Asked for a manager and the next person that showed up provided an undercooked pizza that we had ordered. Refused that food and after 90 mins choose to leave. People were receiving food that sat down after us. No professionalism on their end. Horrible place. So disappointed. Went to A and W and got a burger on the way home.

We usually come to Match to eat when we visit from Kelowna. Unfortunately a few days ago we were very disappointed in the service we were given, our server was Kelsey I believe. We waited a VERY long time for our drinks and once our food was finally recieved we did not get checked up on even though we would of like to order more drinks. Our server seemed very rude and the food overall has gone downhill. We will definitely be going elsewhere on our next visit.

Ambient atmosphere with high spacious ceilings and natural light aplenty with walls of windows holding up the establishment. Good food and a more than decent happy hour! Daily features are also great and good portions. A little sad to see that brussels are now off the menu but had a great meal tonight yet again, brought out graciously by the chef himself, compliments to him!

My party waited for over an hour for our food they got my plate wrong forgot to add add ons then waited almost 20 minutes for them to arrive there was only 4 or 5 tables on a Sunday suppertime and the waitress just made excuses about kitchen being slow. I will NEVER EVER spend another dime in this establishment . Twice the food and service have been lack luster ar best.

This was one of my favorites. We have always had good service over the years The staff is always great. The last two times we have gone and brought our family not a good experience. This last experience after avoiding going for about 1.5 years. Kids arent allowed past 10 we had to leave as we were told if the food took too long to come out we would have to go if we werent done eating.

Ordered delivery, 3 poutines and lettuce Wraps. There was no gravy on any of the poutines and no lettuce for the Wraps. Super disappointed and Match used to be one of my familys favorites but the last 2 times have been the same...missing parts of the meal.

If Match gets any better it will put the gaming floor out of business lol. Very lively place with the addition of bingo games.

Matches is okay to stop in if youre at the casino or in the area. It has a nice casual atmosphere, the upstairs is really nice and theres an open patio which is perfect for summer. The food is NOT good though! The best things are just okay, but some things are pretty bad. The pulled pork in the mac n cheese tasted like old old leftovers. Service is friendly but disorganized. Very good specials on drinks.

Used to come here often. The last 3 times have been awful. The food was terrible. We were served warm margaritas and when we asked for some ice or for something else the waitress seemed annoyed. They would not let us redeem a $25 voucher from the casino that was towards a dinner at Match because they said our dinner was a special. I have had that same dinner every time Ive gone so Im not sure whats special about a tiny steak dinner for $28. Penticton Match is nothing like the one in Kelowna. I highly recommend Kelowna Match for service and the same steak dinner was incredible!

Email sent to Match with still no response for 8 weeks: I recently visited your Match venue in Penticton (Saturday June 24th 6pm) for the first time and was sorely disapointed. It was busy and we were told about 15min, which turned into 30min. We then found out, after the 30min wait that it could have been avoided if we were offered to sit on the roof top but were not informed at the time of putting our name down. After the wait for the table we were told that the food wait was 45min, then told 60min. We waited as we had already invested time. It was a mistake to stay. My partner ordered a rare steak, which came after 1hr and was well done. Sent it back came back right. I ordered the beef dip which came on stale garlic bread, beef was cold and dry, au jus was luke warm, the brie had melted and rehardened. Sent it back and came back ok for the most part but still was the worst beef dip I have ever had. The meat was reminiscent of the dried out pot roast my grandmother use to make where there was not enough sauce in the world to make it not dry. The only good part of our visit was our roof top server, who was absolutely wonderful, kind, and caring. She was the only positive aspect of my dining experience at Match Penticton.

I love the drink specials, and the sticky toffee pudding is to DIE FOR!!!!!!! The ultimate mac and cheese is delicious, I highly recommend it. And the service is 5 stars too. Our server was Kelsey, she had a red bow tie. The responses were quick when we needed help, the service was friendly, and she made us laugh throughout the night. If you re looking for a nice atmosphere and tasty food, check this place out for sure! I can t sing the praises of the sticky toffee pudding enough. I m not usually into cake, or anything that might be too soft , but the toffee pudding is a beautiful balance between firm, sweet, and soft.

Had an amazing time last night for my friends birthday, Julia and Brianna were wonderful servers and even better company we didnt grab too much for food but I would still recommend that you try to get there for happy hour we had a great time without breaking the bank

We went to Match last night to watch the Flames game. There were 8 of us. We all ordered different foods and they were all really good. Especially, the fish and chips. The only thing I noticed that was kind of strange was their portion of fries with all the meals was very small. But the highlight of the night was definitely our server, Kelsey! She was great! Didn t miss a beat, kept everyone s drink full and was hilarious. A great server can really make or break a night out and she for sure made ours. Thanks Kelsey

Food was absolutely awful. The beef dip sandwich was cold. Cheese wasn t melted. The dip was also ice cold. We got the lettuce wraps and it was just soya-sauce mixed with corn starch. Best part of the meal was the beer. Something they didn t have to cook

Service was decent. Order was placed before the drink order. Birthday cake shooter tasted like stale cookies. Had the lettuce wraps to start.. was simply just warm and tasted like old stir fry. Also had the beef dip.. again not hot. Flavourless. Best part about this meal was the beer.

First time at Match. We had a great time playing hot rockin bingo...The fish and chips were perfect and the hamburger was delicious. We will definitely be coming back.

Went for dinner on a Saturday night and unfortunately the food was not good. Ordered the Sweet chilli chicken and was under cooked leaving it soggy, not crispy. Was told that after toasting it in the sauce it would could be a bit soggy Sorry no that s not how it works turn up the temp on the deep-fryers to make the chicken crispy. I sent it back and ordered the lettuce wraps and was even more disappointing. Came out a soupy. soggy mess. Fresh wok fried.. there s no way. It was like a premixed super batched of chicken and veg reheated. Unfortunately, I will never go back there and I will never recommend it to anybody. Maybe there s other dishes that are good, but my personal experience was extremely underwhelming. Perhaps I ll try it another day when a different chef is on.

I visited Match tonight with my family a total of 6 of us and we had a really great experience. The food, drinks and service were wonderful. We would really like to thank Alex the manager for all the hospitality and we will definitely be back. I would recommend if you are going before an event make a reservation and give yourself plenty of time as they do get really busy. Thank you!

Great service from all the staff. 40% of the time, the food is overcooked. The menu has not changed there for a long, long time.

Probably one of the worst food ever. Ordered garlic shrimp Alfredo pasta for $22 and came with NO shrimp at all . Zero Nought. Not even a tail. Just pasta with some garlic slices. What they did not miss was the tab came with full price. Paid full tip.

Ordered the entre Thai chicken salad. It arrived with literally 6 small cubes of chicken, about 3 ounces. Unfortunately, I didnt take a photo. Spoke to server felt the portion could have been more generous for a dinner entre. The bill came with a 15% deduction. Felt I didnt get good value for my money.

Had a gift certificate. Notified them at start. Apparently specials are not honoured. Did not know prior to ordering. Would have changed our order completely as ordered the daily special. Or even kept the certificate for use another time. Worst margarita Ive ever tasted (pure salt, even after wiping away the massive rim, i assume some large clumps fell in prior to reaching the table.) Wrong beer was served. Drinks were corrected but cocktails avoided. Understaffed. Somewhat understandable. The floor manager? Was utterly useless. Wasnt helping staff at all make drinks or bring drinks or offer suggestions to struggling staff. When asked for help, even napkins he told us he would inform our sever. Disgusting. Likely wont be back. Which is unfortunate as was starting to enjoy the food and music bingo.

The whole dining experience sucked. Sulky waitress forgot an order, took 25 minutes to get first, and only, round of drinks. Manager totally useless. My chicken sandwich came on a hamburger bun instead of potato roll, fries from bottom of the bag. Lost 2 customers.

Pretty bad experience. We got seated at the bar over the clean up sink. Got pelted by splashing water and thrown fruit from failed drinks. Food was mediocre and the service was just brutally bad. Dropped our food off without cutlery. Took a long tune for our server to reconnect so we could get some and then had to ask 3 times for our bill. Not a good experience at all.

Table ordered salads, very good and filling. Ended the meal with sticky toffee dessert, excellent choice. Good environment to socialize and enjoy a meal.

Ordered takeout and was very disappointed. Picked it up when they said it d be ready, and my chicken sandwich was soaking wet and chicken tasted reheated from 3 days ago, and dirty fries soggy beyond recovery. The ahi tuna pasta was way overcooked to the point it was like beef jerky, and drenched in oil without any flavour. An absolute joke compared to the menu photos, and nothing like previous takeout orders I ve made from here. For $50 for two pretty basic meals, this is absurdly low quality. Sad, since I ve enjoyed orders from here in the past but this is probably the last.

Waitress was honest and fun. Food was super. Music Bingo was an added bonus.

Used to be my fav place to eat, but has recently gone downhill. Last time I got a poutine, and the manager brought it out with the entire gravy skin from the pot on top of my food. Looked absolutely horrendous.

What a great place to get a bite to eat. Service was quick and very friendly. Had the steak sandwich with caesar salad which was outstanding. Other food I saw also looked delicious.

Went for Bingo night on a Tuesday- won a couple coupons. Went back before leaving Penticton to use them. Great service- good food. Fish tacos were a little spicy but spice on calamari was a pleasant surprise. Only complaint I have is my grand daughters piece of chocolate cake (on Tuesday) was bigger than mine (on Sunday)

Dont waste your time even attempting to eat here, miserable hostess who clearly is not up to working. Lack of staff to clean any of the 15 empty tables, the sadest and most poorly run establishment.

Under staffed, but pleasant staff. Order took ridiculous time of 75 minutes. Fish tacos with hot sauce no tarter sauce. Special of the night wings, overdone and dried out. Pizza looked nice bit sparse on toppings.

Love the pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoncinis!

Terrible food, we had calamari, tacos and fish and chips. The oil was very obviously old, everything was super greasy and thrown together. Very disappointed.

Always happy and friendly staff to greet you. Sundays are great night to listen to live music and Tuesday music BINGO night is a blast! Grab a drink and some food and play some billards. Come to the Match.

I really hate giving bad reviews but lately anywhere I go the service is atrocious! No idea what is going on in the industry but when a table of 6 adults and 5 children got thrown out by the manager for expecting any kind of service - water. drinks whatever - being told that they are trying to accommodate us without even taking our drink order after 20 minutes and told by the manager to go to the competition I have to say the industry had lost its mind. We went to Earls instead and spent over $300 plus tip and had great service!

Good selection of draft beers. I had the Stanley Park Amber which just hit the spot as most bars carry only Lagers and hoppy pale ales so I find it difficult to get a heavier beer. The staff were friendly and professional as well.

Service not great and stupid expensive

Great atmosphere, and good serrvice. Unfortantly, during my visit the pesto dish I ordered had no flavour. Tasted like eating a bottle of vegetable oil.

Careful one of the servers gets her kid and boyfriend to slash tires of people she doesn t like. Informed casino of her doing with multiple pictures of proof even admitting it over text and she still keeps her job. I will not be returning.

Great service, fresh hot food, amazing environment. They deserve a 5 star because it seems they reply to reviews and share it with the team and change whats needed to be changed. Good to see a restaurant do that. Found our new go to spot.

Celebrated grandsons 19th birthday at Sunday brunch. Perfect venue for young and senior. Good good, prices reasonable and servers were attentive.

I would give this place 5 stars, but the parking is a nightmare. Dont go here on a friday, becauae they DO NOT accommodate their customers when it comes to findind a place to park your vehicle. I love the food, and my hudband and i go out for dinner every friday, and 9 put of 10 times its not even worth the hassle to get to the restaurant. Tonight we were just told it was $10 to park in their lot. Its ridiculous. Wish they would figure this out, because i enjoy their food

Tip - have them give you a chipped glass so you cut your lip for some free happy hour wings. Seems like a good deal? No one takes any information for an incident report or anything. Interesting standards.

Some of the best food I have ever enjoyed was served in comfort and style at this location. Most of those meals were also free or half price for being a double diamond card holder. And to be honest double diamond didnt cost me anything really. Thanks Match Team and thank you Cascades Casino

We have ordered fish and chips twice .. delivered. It is by far the best fish and chips we have had locally. The pieces of fish are thick, lightly battered and delicious. The fries are crispy and taste great. For delivery we asked that chips and fries be wrapped separately so they wd maintain their crisp. Orders were carefully wrapped and arrived hot and crispy. Excellent! Definitely will order from Match again.

Good tacos

We went here for dinner tonight for our anniversary. Our server was Wynona and she was amazing. Great service and the food was really good. We had the mushroom pesto pasta, nachos and ribs. The sticky toffee pudding is tondue for but make sure you share as its huge! They even wrote happy anniversary on it. Anyway, Id definitely recommend this place.

We celebrated my grandfathers 90th birthday upstairs. Great food and drinks and wonderful service from Neil and Brooke. Thanks again!!!
