Best Bahn Mi I have found in the Okanagan! Bread was perfectly crunchy and the sauce was amazing. Also had the brisket pho which was delicious and great portion size.

So I was excited to see a spicy lemon grass option since I last ordered...sad to say it honestly tasted instant to me...I love this food and Im obsessed with it and the broth is the foundation. That being said, the customer service was amazing as well as the freshness and the salad rolls were great. I just feel the broth needs work. In their defense I did order very close to closing, which I didnt realize till after.

Cute little place to get great Vietnamese food. The family is very sweet and accommodating. Its very clean and the food is prettily presented. Portions arent overwhelming but filling.

The food here was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. They let us know that everything was made in-house, and you could definitely taste that this was true. The bun for my bahn mi couldnt have been better; it was crunchy and toothsome on the outside and soft on the inside. The caramelized pork was cooked and seasoned to perfection, and all the veggies were very fresh.

Phenomenal Pho! The broth is excellent, and the family that runs the restaurant is very kind. The mango pudding was amazing.

The best Banh Mi I ve ever had! I ordered takeout and had a pleasant experience while there; Mom who is chef made me a complimentary iced tea and gave me a dessert to go. I had the Ba Ba Bowl with spring rolls and the lemongrass chicken banh mi, and like another reviewer mentioned, the portion of the vermicelli bowls aren t gigantic like some other spots but the quality of the food is excellent. In fact, I found it to be the perfect amount of food for one person. Go here!

As far as I can tell, this is the only place in Penticton that serves a caramelized pork banh mi (all I can find elsewhere uses the deli meat style pork). Its flavorful, fresh, and rivals those Ive had in big cities. Also, the staff are extremely sweet and kind. I do wish they were open an hour or two later, though. I hope BaBa Express stays in business for a long time here in Penticton.

A friend and I decided to go for lunch yesterday and we were not disappointed! We both had the Banh Mi and they were delicious, and I had a Pho as well which was very good. Our server was so kind and sweet to everyone who was there and who had come in after us. Please go to this lovely restaurant! Parking: There are spots infront of the restaurant, some street parking and there are a couple spots behind the restaurant as well. If its severely busy you could always park at the IGA and walk over Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible from what I could see. There are 3 steps up to the main door and I did not see a ramp.

Always good food a few tables for a quick lunch Mainly take out. Friendly service. For take out you wont be disappointed. Parking: About 6 parking stalls.but IGA is next door so there is more stalls beside and behind the restaurant.

#1 pho in Penticton The chicken in the Chicken curry smells a little bit, but except that, all foods were good. Especially Phon Food

Stopped in for lunch and had the vegetable pho, a caramelized pork banh mi and the spring rolls. The pho was aromatic, fresh and well balanced not salty like some we have had, the banh was very good (next time we will get more hot sauce), all the veggies where very fresh, the pork was tender and the bread classic. The spring rolls where some of the best that we have had in a very long time. The service was professional, knowledgable and friendly. Its very clean and bright but does have limited seating. PS. Mom is the chef!

I finally made it here yesterday to grab a banh mi for lunch. I was greeted warmly and my questions were answered very helpfully. I settled on the caramelized pork sandwich and once home, savoured every single bite. The baguette was perfect (not too hard), pork delicious, and vegetables fresh and crunchy. I will be back soon!

Family business! very tasty place. Portions are fairly sized & pretty authentic and delicious . A lill more money than I usually spend on food, especially if you do some add ons ! But its worth it at the end !!! You get what you pay for so ergo defenetly a nice place for take out and delivery ! The ambiance inside is more a simple / functional than a cozy one, but the food and their service is excellent !

First time in today, ordered one spicy bahn mi, one chicken bahn mi and salad rolls. The restaurant itself was clean and bright, the service was friendly and the food was fantastic. I look forward to coming in for some pho next time.

My hubby and I went for lunch here today. This was our first visit. He had the brisket pho and I had the shrimp & egg salad rolls. They made them fresh, quick and the food was delicious ! The owner is nice and friendly. For those who would like to have a healthier option and light lunch, I strongly recommend their salad rolls. The price is reasonable with generous portions !

I ordered take out! Just salad rolls. I watched the lady make them fresh to order. I got an order of shrimp /egg and and order of lemongrass chicken! Lots of Very fresh veggies went into these and thankfully not too many noodles. They were huge! I especially loved the lemongrass chicken one! Also ordered a bubble drink. Was so delicious! Our recent visit to BaBa Express was not a disappointment. My husband devoured his Lemon chicken and vermicelli meal with a smile on his face as my son and I enjoyed almost every last drop of the delicious Rare beef Pho noodle soup. We were so full. The serving size was perfect and the hospitality and service given by the owners was delightful. We will be back. Parking: Plenty of parking available. Kid-friendliness: My son really loved the attention received by the owners and most importantly the broth. At almost 9 years old he had no problem indulging into the absolutely delicious Pho noodle soup. We will be back.

Very clean nice Vietnamese restaurant. Owners are very nice! We tried Brisket Pho and ate everything and drank all the broth. We really enjoyed the food! There are three small tables with two chairs each you can dine in or take out. Very pleasant dining experience!

Amazing friendly staff, and the food is definitely some of the best Vietnamese food Ive had. Mmm.. I got the Lemongrass Chicken Vermicelli bowl and I highly recommend it! Parking: I parked in the back where there is reserved parking for customers.

My wife and I ate here for the first time and it was excellent. The broth in our brisket pho was delicious and well balanced! We also had the salad rolls with lemon grass chicken, and they were also quite good. I appreciated the cleanliness and the hard work that was put into the restaurant. I was in Penticton for about 3 weeks visiting family. I visited here quite often. Loved their Rare beef pho and the shrimp salad rolls. My mother and I really love the salad rolls. Very refreshing and big. Worth the price in my opinion. Though could use just a little more meat in the pho for the price. But everything about this place is an A++ Please keep up the great service and delicious food!!!

For a Vietnamese restaurant you expect great/good pho ,unfortunately you don t get that here , the broth is less than average , you have to fight for extra sauces , key ingredients are lacking.

Wow lets just start with One of the best spring rolls I have ever eaten from a take out . The sauce that comes with them is awesome as well . Im not local but I will definitely be stopping in anytime Im in the area . As the raw beef pho was good as well. Where I live we dont have pho . So any chance I can I have to get it. The Banh Mi is the new best sandwich in town ! Two types of pork with pickled daikon, shredded carot and cucumber. I get the spicy mayo and the fresh cilantro seals the deal. Oh ya, the crispy French baguette is the perfect vehicle for a fresh trip to Vietnam .

I am from Vancouver and this is top notch. Im absolutely picky with the broth but it was BANG ON!! They make their own beef balls and bread. Phenomenal

We ordered for eight people, and the time it took for our food to be ready was much quicker than expected, and everything was made fresh to order, which was greatly appreciated. All the vegetables were fresh and delicious, and the meat was perfectly cooked. The salad rolls, pho, and bowls were all amazing, and owners were also very kind. This was a delicious meal, and we would definitely order from this place again.

Food is made fresh when you order and the service is exceptional. We tried a number of dishes and all were delicious. Will be back!

The quantity to cost ratio was very underwhelming. Lettuce filled up most of my bowl. Meat was barely there. And in general it wasn t a generous portion. Flavours were ok (but nothing outstanding).

The beef soup was fantastic. Real authentic taste. Im originally from Winnipeg home of all the authentic flavors like here at BaBA Express. All the ingredients are made from scratch in house. Its a hidden gem but make sure to check when they are open. This is a must....

I REALLY want this place to succeed. We need a good pho place here. - Might be COVID, but take out sizes are quite small, costs are also high compared to size. - The menu was quite limited, I hope they plan on expanding, maybe add something like a Satay Pho, and a few other items - Quality of meat was not high - Spring rolls did not have much flavour and were again expensive for portion size. - Broth was ok but not exceptional Please keep improving!

After reading other reviews i was unsure about trying this place but very glad I did. Portions and price are on point with any other Pho I have had. Ordered the beef brisket pho and the salad rolls and couldnt finish all of it. Fantastic flavors in the broth and the salad rolls were great. Very happy with everything, will be regulars for sure.

Ordered Peach Kumquat Lemongrass Tea and beef ball pho. So good!! Love the tea, so yummy. I find the pho very flavorful. My fiancé picked it up for me from there. Said the family who run it are very friendly and kind!

We had the Bun Bowl with pork paddy and veggie spring roll. The food and service were both fantastic. The veggies in the bowl were very fresh and crisp and we absolutely loved the veggie spring rolls. I would highly recommend this bowl to anyone. I certainly will be a repeat customer!!

Fantasic food made by fantasic people. Had the spring rolls, salad rolls, and house special pho soup. Very happy with the quick takeaway service and had a couple samples of the food to come. I totally supprt these lovley people taking a chance opening a restaurant during full government restrictions. Very happy to have this great cuisine in our town.

A welcome addition to Penticton offering carefully prepared and flavorful Vietnamese classics. The pho is delicious and substantial with all the accoutrements; the house-made beef balls are a nice touch but for the uninitiated be prepared for a bit of tendony texture. I wouldnt have minded more noodles but there is plenty of leftover broth if one has rice noodles at home. The salad rolls are also excellent with crisp lettuce and a nice crunch from the picked daikon and carrots. Service is friendly and punctual. Would like to see them use more eco friendly takeaway packaging though. Definitely recommended if you are craving or looking to try Vietnamese cuisine.

A real gamble starting a restaurant business in the middle of the pandemic. The Pho was good, but the Bun lacked favor in the meat. I wish the sauces, especially the fish sauce wasnt watered down. I still think this place has the potential to do well if they smooth out the rough edges.

I really wanted to like it, but I find it... boring. The spring rolls were tiny, like a roll of dimes, and very hard. Its 7 bucks for 2 and I wouldnt pay a dollar for 2. I ordered the brisket pho and the beef ball pho - $13.75 each, worth about $7. The bowls are small, very little meat. They forgot to include one of the hoisen sauce. The bottom line, I can make the same at home for 1/4 the price and twice the quality. To the owners - Im sorry for the bad review.
