It was my first time ever eating at a dosa place and all we ordered was so good!
I recently tried the ghee dosa and onion rava dosa, and both were excellent. The flavors were spot on, and the food was cooked perfectly. The service was equally good, with the staff being attentive and courteous.
Tried a couple of dishes- dosa, vada and Uthappam. Food was served hot and fresh. All the foods that we had and the condiments (Chutney and sambhar) were very tasty. The restaurant ambiance and service is simple. There is a different charm to things like that. Keep up the good work.

New on the block, and unapologetically authentic. This is an unfamiliar style of Indian cuisine and well worth a visit. Ambiance is "hole in the wall," so it's really all about the food. Even better, a lot of it is finger food, and just plain fun to eat. Definite learning curve for the diner, but kitchen has it down. Try something refreshingly new in town.
Ordered take out: noodles with chicken, shrimp curry w/rice, chili chicken, vegetable masala dosa. Service was fast and friendly, portions are generous. The noodles were a bit bland and the chicken is breaded, but still delicious. Chili chicken was excellent, as well as the dosa and other dishes. Very flavourful. Shrimp curry was a bit too oily and the masala in dosa a bit too "wet", but still highly recommend this place and will be returning!
I was so excited to learn that we were getting a Dosa restaurant in Penticton and I wasn't disappointed when I went to it 💕. Prices are great and the team there were very friendly. There's a big range of fillings available, and many options for gluten free and vegetarian diners. The dosas were crispy and the fillings.so flavourful. I love the soup that comes with each Dosa order. We went with a group of 6 and they did a good job trying to get the meals out at the same time, but the kitchen can probably only handle so many outgoing orders. I did go back another time for take out and while they were very tasty, I must say that the dosas are best had fresh and on site. Do yourself a favour and dine in for the best experience.
So excited to finally have a South Indian place in town that has delicious food. Their dosas were really good. The two owners/chefs are nice people, gave us exceptional service. I can’t wait to try other things on their menu 😊
Average place, but AMAZING FOOD !
My taste buds were absolutely delighted by the ghee roast dosa here. it was phenomenal! Hands down, the best place for dosa. We were traveling from Osoyoos to Kelowna and arrived about 40 minutes before the restaurant opened. The staff went above and beyond by accommodating us, starting the kitchen early just for us. Their hospitality, combined with the delicious food, made for an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

Nice South Indian food place. The food is excellent and authentic South Indian (tamilian) version. We tried masala dosa, ghee dosa, chicken 65 and masala vada. Our kid is very picky when it comes to food and he really liked ghee dosa. They verbally confirmed that all chicken and lamb/goat served in the restaurant is halal.

Had an excellent experience here, thanks to Kamesh (chef) and Guna. Amazing hospitality with the best food being served in town. We ordered mostly Chinese and the dishes were so tasty. Chicken Noodles, fried rice (tried both regular and Szechwan) along with Chilli chicken and Gobi Manchurian on the sides. Just don t miss it, yummy-max! Children loved the cheese and ghee Dosa, especially with the colored chutney. Overall we (2 families) were extremely glad to end our day at Dosa Vilas before leaving Penticton. We sure will stop by next time when we cross this town. Parking: Parking was easy. Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly! Kids loved their Dosas.

Amazing little find! We walked by here and checked the reviews wondering if it might be a hidden Gem it definitely was. The kids had their first Dosa s/loved their lassis. My wife & I had the Saag Lamb and Chicken 65, both of which were great!
Fantastic food!! First time I ever had a dosa and it was sooo good. The sauces were extremely tasty too. My girlfriend took me for lunch and she has eaten here before and wanted me to try it. It reminded her of the authentic dosa s in southern India when she lived there. Staff was friendly and loved to share their experiences.

Best place to have your Dosa in town. The taste is as authentic as South Indian cuisine. Best in town, In fact it is the best in the Okanagan region. I really loved their Indo Chinese menu. Chilli chicken with fried rice is really fantastic I highly recommend this place. I truly wish the team a great success.
Amazing dosas! This is the best dosa restaurant we ve ever been to including those in Vancouver/langley. We enjoyed masala dosa and onion masala dosa. Lassi s were delicious and refreshing especially the mango lassi and also the sweet lassi that was flavoured with rose water. We will be coming back often. Lots of options for gluten free too! Penticton is lucky to have Dosa Vilas!

Really well priced Dosas which are essentially super sized rolled crepes filled savory foods. If you are new to Dosas, there cheese filled one is the one to start with. Very reasonably priced.
The food was fantastic, and the staff was so friendly. I had. A veggie dosa and I m very happy and satisfied. So impressed with the food . The atmosphere just needs updating from the previous restaurant but I understand that comes with time .

Fabulous, authentic South Indian Cuisine served with great love. The Dosas, Idlys lentil vadas are cooked to perfection. They also brew great south Indian Coffee and Chai tea. You definitely try this place if you are in Penticton.
The food was incredible. So glad to have dosas in town now! If you love Indian food and never had dosas before, you need to go. Service was very friendly. The best South Indian food I ve ever had in Canada. If you want to indulge yourself in authentic Indian food is place is awesome. No frills just delicious Food. The food is comparatively healthy and lots of gluten free options .
Tasted Dosa and Idly after a while, amazing taste, and service. Best Dosa place to visit in town. I will prefer this restaurant over Kelowna, as Dosa Villas taste is much better, than the franchises established in main land and Kelowna.

Dont be on the fence, just go! If you dont know dosas, youll discover them and be spoiled. If you do, know that the ones here are outstanding. I had the DV spinach paneer dosa, and the flavour blend was perfect, and the dosa was crispy and hot. I also tried the lamb saah curry, and it was rich and balanced. We had the Onion Masala Dosa, and the Streetwali Paneer Dosa, and a few Chai teas. This is the first time we have had Dosas, and it was delicious! The chai was great too. Quaint location, but very friendly service, excellent food, value, and portion size. I would definitely recommend!
As a Tamil from South India. I approve of the taste. We had Egg Dosai, Rava Dosai, Nellai Podi Dosai and Paruppu Vadai. All tasted really good. Podi Dosai was my most favourite.

I just discovered dosas, so glad to have a place in Penticton who makes them. If you have never had one, and love Indian food, check out this place. Very yummy and great value.
Amazing dosa! Penticton has a lot of good Indian food, but most of it is North Indian. So, Im happy to see a place like this serving dosa and idly and other South Indian dishes. And, if youre vegetarian, theres no place more flavorful or more affordable to eat. Edit: love the Chicken 65 and Gobi 65 (cauliflower). Another review mentioned ordering a masala dosa and that it was wet, but they also ordered it to-go, and dosa will get soggy when it travels. I ordered masala dosa today and it was nice and crispy, of course, underneath the masal potatoes, the dosa was a bit soggy but thats normal. So, Just know what youre ordering and know how things travel well or not. They also had some Indo-chinese fusion dishes that look good, and Im looking forward to trying them when I return. Update: the fusion dishes are amazing. The schezwan egg noodles are a particular standout!
Before eating here, Id only had dosa in southern India. So happy to be able to enjoy it again closer to home. So tasty! The gobi (cauliflower) appetizer we had was also fantastic. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.
I am still thinking about the dosa a month after visiting. I ordered the streetwali paneer and the blend of spices was spot on. So crispy, so flavorful, a delight. Our waiter was wonderful and knowledgeable. If I am back in the area, it will be my first stop.

The Dosas at this place are phenomenal. My wife and I absolutely loved every bite. This place has definitely found a spot in our regular rotation.
The dosas (as well as the 3 accompanying condiments) were out of this world and unlike anything else that Penticton has to offer. Do yourself a favour and check this place out!

If you need to try some fresh and authentic South Indian taste. This is the place. Asli ghee roast masala is 10/10 They also have some indo-Chinese food combos. We tried the noodle and chilli chicken. It was amazing. The place doesn t look new as it looks like they bought some old Japanese restaurant and started the business. I would say don t judge the book by its cover . Food is delicious.

Ive been living in British Columbia for the last 4 years, and Ive finally found a place that serves the most authentic South Indian food Ive ever tasted! Their chicken fried rice and dosa are the best. Whats more, they surprised me with a sample of their upcoming jackfruit pudding, which theyre planning to add to their menu, and it was on the house! Im usually not one to write reviews, but this place deserves all the praise it can get.Ill definitely be a regular customer from now on!

I have ordered twice since they opened and I have to say the dosas are very tasty. Better than the dosas I had in Kelowna. I have tried 4 different kinds of dosas and they have all been very delicious. I am for sure a regular customer now. Vegetarian options: I am a vegetarian, and have only tried veg dosas. The owners are wonderful people and tries to accommodate needs of their customers. Chicken here is halal, thats a big plus for the Muslim community in the town. Keep up the good job guys! I loved the food. Must try South Indian food spot in Penticton, BC. Each of us had 2 dishes for dinner there, yet we didn t feel heavy. That proves zero% mono sodium glutamate added in the food. Very tasty and affordable. South Indians, especially Tamil people should not miss to try foods here, if you all ever visit Kelowna or penticton.

Delicious take out from a new place. I had the saag paneer dosa and it was terrific. I look forward to trying more of their dishes.
Restaurant was very busy so many menu items were unavailable, but its great to see enthusiasm for a new restaurant this time of year. Service was slow but very friendly. I think the food needed salt, but overall it was as good as any dosa Ive had elsewhere. Obviously the place is still working out the kinks, but I dont think they expected to be as busy as they were. Will be back to try it again after they take some time to get a bit more established. Vegetarian options: Many veg options available

We had delicious dosas (filled rice and lentil pancake) at Dosa Vilas! The servers were so welcoming and friendly. We tried the mixed veg and paneer dosas and were really pleased with the flavours and portion. The prices are very reasonable too. Definitely recommended!
