At Loki's Garage we believe that starting from scratch with the best local ingredients is the foundation for the most memorable meals. From house-cured Pastrami to fresh baked Focaccia, We work tirelessly to bring you flavours and experiences you can't find anywhere else. Our Brunch menu includes Eggs Benedict and Hashes as well as Chicken & Waffles. During Breakfast you can usually smell the freshly brewed French Press coffee. Of course Brunch also goes great with a Caesar or Mimosa. Brunch is now available 7 days a week. For lunch, other than our Pastrami, our burgers include a Vegetarian Portobello option. Our cold sandwiches also feature a delicious Vegan Grilled Artichoke on Focaccia.
Most excellent food. My crew had the Portuguese style lettuce wrap. It looked awesome. I had the capicolla grilled cheese. Ohhh boy. It was the most excellent grilled cheese ever. The french fries were great also. The service was great . The waitstaff is so helpful with recommendations. The waitress we had was over the top nice.We had a great time there.
So I have to say this is probably one of the coolest places I’ve ever eaten breakfast quite literally. I travel a lot for work often go to Cora, but this certainly wasn’t that. We started with their Caesar called the Rocky horror they make it with horseradish and pickle juice give it a try it was phenomenal probably one of the best Caesars I’ve ever had quite literally. Moved on to what is called Old Faithful. It was your traditional bacon and egg breakfast. The bread is made in house and was unreal had some nice herbs in it. Apparently they use a lot of locally sourced ingredients, which is absolutely spectacular. I would highly recommend this for any meal of the day we went for breakfast/brunch really great atmosphere very friendly staff. Thanks for a great breakfast guys keep up the great work The next time I’m in town, I will will definitely drop by
Absolutely phenomenal experience. Hubby had the breakfast sandwich which was more of a burger with an egg 😍. My Greek salad was outstanding. Absolutely massive. Vicki was our server and she was so personable. Cannot recommend enough. Most ingredients made in house. 11/10
What a great place :) Loaded with smiling servers Really cool vibe being in an old school garage, just missing the car jacks! The coffee was as superb each of us getting our own Bodum Carafe The servers are buzzing, the cooks are chopping, the brassiere is hot and finishing our meats to perfection. My fathers breakfast parfait was loaded with goodness The bacon benny had artisan smoked bacon unlike anything I’ve ever eaten. The crispy, tasty coating on the chicken with crispy at the edge moist softly waffled waffles deep pockets of butter and syrup… Got 10x busier after 930am and even the outdoor patio loaded up as well Overall fantastic 10/10
Came to penticton for the weekend, and this was one of our first food stops! It was an awesome atmosphere, had great service, & amazing food! I got the bacon Benny, and it was delicious! The bacon was super thick and yummy! Loved that it was on focaccia! My hubby got the breakfast burger and loved it! Would recommend, and we will definitely be back next time we come to town!
Went for lunch today with my daughter, first time for us. Service was excellent and quick, good chill vibe here. I tried the crafty burger and fries, she tried the kids chicken strips and fries. The chicken strips were amazing and we love the style of french fries here, the burger was good, i liked the ciabatta bun, meat was cooked and seasoned excellent, house sauce is tasty, went w provolone cheese, nice option, but I felt the tomato could be trimmed down a little bit and I got a piece of the lettuce core on mine. But totally cool spot, we will be back.
What a wonderful experience, my friend and I had visiting you for eggs Benny. They were absolutely delicious and cooked exactly as requested. Our server whose name I don't recall, but she was wearing a necklace with the letter J on it, Was a great representative of your restaurant. You need to keep her as she deserves a raise. Thank you for a lovely visit. Please come and visit them. You won't be disappointed.
The portion sizes are big, food tastes very good, perfect for bunch. They even have a kids menu and coloring sheets to entertain. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very busy which lead to a longer wait for food as they seemed overwhelmed but was worth the wait.
I have been there several times for brunch and it s usually pretty good! I was just very disappointed during my last visit when I ordered Paella. I would not call this Paella at all it tastes nothing like it it s just yellow fried rice with chicken.
Love it every time we go!
Had the eggs benny on focacia. Would prefer if they had the option to have it on english muffin.
Best breakfast Ive ever had in my entire life. It was amazing. Bacon cooked perfectly. Omelet was amazing. And tge eggs benedict. Fresh press coffee. 100%
Disappointing first experience. Ordered the buttermilk chicken - if it s pink in the middle (even if they say they temperature test it), it s not cooked through!! I m glad I was sitting on the patio and not in the very dim interior so that I could see that. I see from a prior review that they have encountered this situation before. I ve had fried chicken before in my life. Heck! I ve even cooked it many times. It s not supposed to be pink, it s not supposed to have blood. Perhaps customers are telling you something that you need to adjust, not just being mean. Had to send back first serving, second serving was better, almost cooked through. I don t know if they keep it frozen or if the oil in the fryer is too hot and just cooks the outside too fast before the inside is done. The parts that were cooked were tasty, and the portions are fair for the price. The wait staff were also very good, and did their best. Would I go back? At this point I don t think so.
Lokis Garage has a cool atmosphere and friendly service, but the food fell short of expectations. The bread might have been made in-house, but it was too thick, making the Bennies a bit too heavy. The potatoes were overcooked, and the chicken and waffles came with bone-in chicken, which was an unexpected surprise and made the dish harder to enjoy. The rice in the paella tasted like it was made days earlier, which was disappointing. On the bright side, the staff was attentive and welcoming, which made the experience better. Overall, its a decent spot with potential, but the food needs improvement to match the service
Great food. A lot of it made from scratch at the restaurant.
The brunch options are great!
Loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. Food was amazing. They make everything in house from mayo to bread. I had the bacon eggs Benedict and it was just enough food to get your day started right. If I were to give a criticism it would be the amount of coffee you get for $4 but it tasted good too. One allotment of a french press. I will be back when Im in town!
This place was truly amazing! The food was delicious and came out fast. The staff was very friendly, and the inside was very homey it was over all a amazing experience and its now one of my new favorite restaurant 10/10 would recommend!
Dear Internet, I had the most bizarre experience at Lokis Garage. I specifically asked my wife on the day to find a small funky diner for lunch for our family. When we arrived I was very excited for my meal. However, at one point our food seemed to be taking too long and I asked the server about it, and she explained that my meal would take longer to prepare but that she would check for me. When she did not return I approached her to ask her for a status update and then she turned and told me to speak to Chef, but she did not seemed pleased with the Chef. The Chef told me in a completely rude manner that my ticket was in front of him (I mean thank goodness eh? He knew where the ticket was but not where my food was). The server was then instructed to come argue with my wife about when our food was rung in, but we pointed out that people that were sat after we ordered had received their food, and that their food were the same items that we had ordered. My wifes lunch unfortunately was not prepared well, it was supposed to be a paella but turn out to be a mushy, bland and burned rice latke. My sons hamburger was apparently meatloaf in a stale ciabatta bun. My dish was great, fried chicken and waffles. Coffee was great and my Caesar was delicious. However when I requested that my wifes lunch not be on the bill, I was confronted by a hostile manager that explained that we had apparently attended at this restaurant only to pick a fight and that we would not have to pay and that we were ordered to leave. He said we yelled at him and insulted him but there was no yelling (lol, however when told a complete lie my wife and I did raise our voices). I was then further insulted by this manager and then I did raise my voice. I live in reality and when someone invents a fiction to win an argument its hard to stay calm. Also, as you the internet may be aware, I have dined at literally thousands of restaurants, and I dont think I have ever been insulted, yelled at and then given my meal for free. Its a very wierd feeling I have now, when I want to pay someone but they are too mad at me for coming to their establishment, offering a critique (as a customer because we are entitled to) and then being punished by not having to pay my bill. I honestly thought I was on that old show Punked and that this was a joke. It was simply, and utterly, bizarre. Further, the manner in which the manager was so quick to react leads me to believe that complaints from customers is a common occurrence. This is someone who is not taking a critical eye to his business. As well is someone who is not supportive of staff, as since he cancelled our bill I could not tip our server. I would also hazard a guess that if staff were confidentially surveyed it would be a human resources nightmare. So Internet, take your risk in dining at Lokis Garage, cause if this manager and chef continue to execute their business as they did with me, then I do not think this restaurant will survive. I was just too tired to follow up to receive the apology that this man owes me. Simply not a way to run a business. I will never be coming back. But I am not too tired to sit here and let you, the Internet know, how bad my experience was at Lokis Garage. Parking: You have to drive around for a while on busy days to find parking.
Over priced, service wasn t good and I m vegetarian but the potatoes taste like bacon. So not sure how they are made but if you are a vegetarian avoid this place.
Response to owner: Because it took me a minute to get to the disgusting bit. ------ I hate giving a local place a low rating but I just ate breakfast here and literally threw up right after. Im a vegetarian and something in the food - probably the potatoes- had a clear chicken/fish smell probably because of sharing the same cooking oil. Also these guys could really benefit from washing the cushions customers sit on.
First time we have been there. Great service, and the food was amazing.
First rate . Best steak sandwhich and nice brews service 1st also. Returning.
Delicious Eggs Benedict breakfast and french press coffee!
Best benny I had in a long time!
Really enjoyed taking my family there for a nice breakfast. Service was fast and friendly. Food was awesome.
Excellent place. Dogs allowed on the patio.
Lovely spot for brunch. Our dogs were immediately brought ice water (so thoughtful) and our waitress was friendly and informative of the restaurants house-made items and use of local produce and products. Four of us ordered brunch: chicken and waffles, paella, chorizo and hash, and traditional breakfast. Everything was delicious. The pickle Caesar s were also
A few mix ups with our orders. Food is decent for sure.
Awesome hidden gem
Great service, great food, and a great vibe in the restaurant overall. I had some wings, my other half had a grilled cheese, and our daughter had chicken strips and everything was delicious. I have to note, it s not often kids menus have hand breaded chicken strips! We ll definitely be back again.
Bacon benny was very good and looked as good as it tasted. I asked for hot sauce and got what looked to be home made and not your typical franks or tabasco. Coffee was brought in a French press and was also very good.
Hot inside in the summer no A/C Nothing special about the Caesar Good burger Decent prices Food : 3/5 |
Some visiting friends forced me to go here today and I m glad they did. My last visit was very disappointing so I ve been avoiding this place. Much better experience today so I m sure I ll be back. Taco salad was huge and tasty - but needed some banana peppers - and our server, Vicki, was fantastic.
Up there with the best brunch places ive ever been to. Everything is simple and delicious. I will be back everytime I come to penticton.
Staff are friendly but the table was sticky, flies drove us nuts and I ordered the chicken and waffles assuming it would be breast but was disappointed with a drum stick and thigh. The portion was good though
Great food made in house or locally sourced
Breakfast was next level goodness! Highly recommend Food
Overall the food was good, good quality and nice portion size. My daughter had eggs white omelet and was great, my son had the old faithful didnt not receive is eggs medium cooked as he ask. I took chicken and waffle the taste and quality was there but my eggs was cold and the Overall plate was too dry, not enough sauce hollandaise sauce. Service was friendly but slow for a Tuesday morning.
Portobello Benny and Bacon Benny were delicious. Highly recommend the food here and the vibe is cool too. Great, fast service. Friendly servers and staff. Thank you!
Our experience was beyond horrible! We had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was raw. I informed the waitress. She assured us it was temperature tested before it came out and sometimes chicken just looks like that. I said no it s actually bloody. A man (didn t introduce himself) came out with a meat thermometer also insisting I was wrong and wanted to test it to prove his point. I said again I m looking right at it and it s bleeding . He responded by telling me I would have to leave! I told my friends they could stay and finish their breakfast. Of course they did not! I ve never written a bad review but this was so bizarre and upsetting!
He (whomever he was) actually brought a thermometer to the table to prove to us that the chicken was cooked and then TOLD US TO LEAVE. Yes for real! My husband and I are foodies and we came across Loki some time ago. We very much enjoyed the restaurant and, in fact, had already visited the restaurant (with various friends) 3 times in the past 5 days. Our fourth (and last) visit was this past Saturday morning. There were 4 of us. Our friends ordered chicken and waffles and we ordered eggs benny. Unfortunately, the chicken was not completely cooked and so my friend naturally advised the server of same. He (and we had no idea whether he was the owner, manager etc. as there was no introduction) came to our table with a thermometer and started with first of all it s real chicken and it is cooked . My friend said it s not cooked enough and pointed to the red juice coming from the chicken onto her plate. He then referred us to the thermometer in his hand as he intended to prove to us that it was cooked. My friend again said that the chicken was not cooked enough. He insisted it was and again he was going to prove it to us with his thermometer. When my friend said for the third time that the chicken was not cooked enough for her liking, he said You are going to have to leave! His EXACT words. I was absolutely shocked. We had to leave???? He said it again and so the four of us got up and left. I had only one bite of my meal. Not only were we in absolute disbelief but my friend felt badly over what had happened. I have never in my years of dining out seen someone bring a thermometer to a table to test the temperature of food. I have also never seen or heard of someone being kicked out of a restaurant because they were not comfortable eating something that they felt was not completely cooked. As my husband said I wonder how he would deal with it if someone complained that their poached eggs were not cooked enough ? We will not visit this restaurant ever again and we will not recommend this restaurant ever again. We will, however, share this horrible experience with others.
Friendly service, good portions and value.
Had a delicious breakfast at Loki s garage! The food was yummy and the customer service was amazing. Will definitely be going back the next time I am in Penticton.
Excellent service, our waitress Vicki was friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing. Our coffee was served in individual French presses, which was a nice touch. The outdoor seating was lovely, and they allowed us to have our dogs with us on the patio. Will recommend!
Awesome eggs Benedict
We ate outside and it was very nice and quiet. We got 4 kids waffles and fruit meals and then a pastrami sandwich and a chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich had NO salt whatsoever. So all I could taste was three Char marks. The pastrami was good, and the waffles were sturdy and hardy. No soft and fluffy and no crunch which is my idea of a Belgium. Also all our food came out cold except for the pastrami sandwich. The fries werent cold but more like room temp. So honestly the experience could have been 4 stars had we gotten warm food. I still cant do 5, because who doesnt salt a chicken breast? Also the fruit that came with the $12 waffle was majority rine, so my kids couldnt eat it. Between the scrap peices of fruit and the cold food I would give it 1 star, but my husband really appreciated his warm sandwich. Lucky him.
Great food. Enjoyed the morning breakfast with my wife. Wish they opened earlier than 9. Food is tasty. Coffee is served in bodums and is per the drink.
Phenomenal place for brunch! The hashbrowns and hollandaise are perfect And the personal French press was a nice touch.
Really wonderful brunch with a dog-friendly patio! Delicious food and fantastic coffee. I appreciated the variety of choices (vegetarian included!).
Food was good, just a little on the crispy side. Waitress was great . Super nice and personable. Had burgers and fries.
Yummy in my tummy. Good range of music and love the decor of band posters and movie posters, etc. Havent tasted a thing i didnt like yet and the service has been great on my 4 visits Ive had to this place. Highly recommend
Wonderful food and service. Lovely patio that I could keep my eye on my bike from!
Made me feel so welcome by accommodating my dietary restrictions and the food was delicious!
First time going to this place and it won t be the last, We went for breakfast and you know when a restaurant is good when you walk in and it s packed. The food is excellent and the portions are big, the coffee very good, our server Karly was very attentive and very polite, they had a very good selection of music so the atmosphere was great. I d definitely recommend this place.
A quaint atmosphere with a fun garage/knick knac aesthetic. The brunch food was decent
Lokis Garage is highkey an excellent lunch stop. I had the Lokis Pastrami and their house salad, and every bite was worth savouring. I would highly recommend this restaurant to family and friends!
Absolutely delicious brunch option in Penticton, perfectly poached eggs & hollandaise
Awesome food and vibe on colourful front street!
Funky vibe and a delishous breakfast. Go hungry cuz the portions are BIG!
Very impressed with both the quality of the food as well as the service. My only disappointment is it took me so long to find this restaurant. Highly recommend
Music was very loud . Only one waitress very busy , there was four of us . The burger was small . I think is more of a brunch place .
Such a good breakfast! I had the traditional breakfast to try their house-made foccacia, and my breakfast date had the pastrami hash to try their house-made pastrami. Both were excellent. Bonus- they brought out a cute little water dish for our patio pup.
Incredible food!
My boyfriend and I are visiting from out of town and thought we d try this restaurant for brunch. We were seated right away by their friendly staff and the decorative layout was the first thing I noticed. Despite it being a bit busy, the service was quick. I ordered a coffee and it was delivered in a beautiful French press. It was delish! We ordered the chicken n waffles and bacon benny. Our food was hot and we both agree it was probably the best brunch we ve ever had. The thick-cut bacon, crispy herbed potatoes, and fresh fried chicken drumsticks were some highlights of our meal. To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable. Would come again!
Crowded, but friendly and fun, the food was delicious and the service was great.
I love the Portuguese lettuce wraps! I just wish they had gluten free bread but none the less I love lokis
Top 5 all time brunch spots. Seriously, every bit was perfect. One look at the hollandaise and egg yolks will tell you all you need about the quality. Also the in house pastrami is to die for.
Absolutely delicious brunch, very generous portion sizes, great service and enjoyable location and atmosphere!
This is an incredible brunch spot. French press coffee Homemade hollandaise Perfectly crispy and fluffy potatoes Thick and savoury bacon Incredible pastrami Went here not expecting anything special but was blown away. Total hidden gem in Penticton and worth going out of the way for. Casual vibes and robust, flavourful food. Will be back.
This place is Ludacris. This was a recommendation from friends and boy did they nail it. The food was incredible. Ordered a standard breakfast - eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Typically when I order this I get the same old dish, sad toast, sad potatoes and eggs that are crispy. This dish knocked it out of the park. The eggs were perfect, the hash browns were crispy on the outside and very light and fluffy on the inside. The bacon was cooked just right and was not greasy. The addition of focaccia was delightful. Next time I pass through Penticton I will be back. 6/5
Keep in mind, its early season so they may not have all their ducks in a row just yet, but the service slow. We ordered drinks and food at the same time when our server eventually came 15 mins after being seated. Drinks took longer than they should have. Food, even longer. Eggs Benedict yolks were way way overcooked. Did not complain at the time, because we didnt want to sit and wait any longer. Our server was quite nice though, and its a cool little spot. I hope this gets corrected once the summer season kicks into high gear
Delicious food! I ordered the chicken and waffle and the chicken was fried to perfection! And the staffs were friendly and professional! Will definitely come back!
Update: Chicken and waffles is so good!! Went for brunch and the food was spectacular. The server was on top of things without being overbearing. Love everything about this place. Food was fantastic and service was awesome. If youre going at a peak time, expect a wait but its worth it! Try the house hot sauce (i did based on a previous review) Love the atmosphere.
Cool place, great food and great service! We will definitely go again next time were in town. Food
The food is AMAZINGLY Delicious!! I had the chicken and Waffles (to die for!) first time and the Pastrami Sandwich with mushroom soup 2nd time. So delicious!. Ill be back for more very soon!! Thank you all!!
We have been here several times this month as we have just discovered this great place. Food is meticulously prepared and looks and tastes fantastic. Service is awesome and everyone is so friendly. Prices are also super reasonable. Highly recommend you give them a try. You won t be disappointed!! Oh and the drinks are excellent as well!
A bit loud in the cavernous tall ceilings but great food and service.
Food
Good food, but missed the brunch, good service
Quite possibly the best breakfast I ve had this year!!!!! If you are in Penticton, get the chorizo hash it out sorry no photos as the first bite of food was too delicious!!!
Interesting, urban feel to the place. Good food and nice folks.
Fantastic portobello Benedict! Eggs were perfectly cooked and hollandaise sauce was on point. 10/10. Services really friendly.!
Not a top 5 okanagan breakfast. I expected more based on the reviews, but it just goodish. The coffee was meh.
I dont really understand why this place is so highly rated. Had their breakfast and it was just average if you ask me. Nothing special for the price you pay. I did love the fact that you could order a chocolate martini with breakfast, that was very good. Im glad I tried it, but didnt enjoy it enough to want to go back or recommend to anyone.
Still the best brunch in town!
Good food and nice atmosphere, server was great. Fairly expensive though. $50 for two dishes seems a lot. They were good but honestly overpriced for a breakfast place. Could be this is just the closet of the area though.
Big portion, yummy sandwich bread
Good food and good people Parking: Few spots in front of the place. Food : 5/5 |
Very tasty local comfort food with good service. Pastrami sandwich was my favorite.
Awesome spot, reasonable prices and amazing staff. I loved the hot sauce they had!
Great breakfast joint with unique options and cool staff
Went here when in Penticton when my grandpa passed away last month. Very unique, cool location. Not my style, or to my aesthetic taste (i only had the toast which was pretty good but cant give full 5 stars because I didnt really eat, Im sorry!), but if youre into unique breakfast foods definitely try them out! My favorite things were the coffee (which was pretty great), and the staff was very nice and accommodating!
The staff was not attentive at all. I found my breakfast tasteless. My husbands meal was supposed to be bacon and over easy eggs. It arrived at our table without the bacon and the eggs were over hard. Getting the attention of the staff to correct the issue was difficult and by the time we did get their attention the rest of our party was done eating. They didnt even offer to remove the meal from the bill. We will not be eating at Lokis Garage again.
Quite possibly the best breakfast in Penticton! We got the bacon benny and it was delicious! Eggs cooked to perfection, potatoes were crispy and the hollandaise was seasoned beautifully! Staff is extremely friendly despite the restaurant being packed. Didn t have to wait for a table which was shocking. 10/10 would recommend!
This is an awesome breakfast/ lunch place, I would totally recommend this to others! The food is amazing!
Great menu, great food, great staff. Every visit is memorable for me. This definitely a must try for Penticton, and by far my favorite brunch in Penticton!!!!! Food
Chicken and waffles is always a favourite! Great staff with friendly service. Food is always good and never had a bad meal. I was so excited to dig in that I forgot to take a picture before taking a bite!
We had the best brunch ever! The food was fresh, perfectly cooked and delicious. It s our new favorite spot.
Great service, loved the beet soup of the day
Great eggs bene. And I still love that coffee is served rich and dark in your own one person plunger. Yum. Food
They were totally slammed today and everything was still perfection! The whole team did a great job. My fave brunch spot in Penticton
Such amazing food and staff!!! 10/10 recommend. Chorizo hash is my favourite:)
Wow. Massive portions, and cooked to perfection. Coffee is local and served in a personal French press for everyone. Kids menu with great prices. Delicious, I wish we had a place like this closer to home. Servers are very friendly, and the decor is music centric and right up my ally! Local beer on tap too! Cheers, we will be back
Terrible. would not recommend, i ve once had been forced to eat a live, raw snail, wasn t quite as bad as loki s garage, ordered the nachos the 2 i had weren t good let alone the high cholesterol i left with. We also ordered grilled cheese, i ll give loki s this, the grilled cheese WAS better than the snail but not by a lot the service was another story, very kind girl but the kitchen is incredibly slow
Best breakfast Sammy and Mimosa with Cranberry juice. Great service. Thanks Danny.
Good food, good staff. Reasonable prices
Great food and service. Awesome spot.
Decent food. Not too much taste for the burgers and skimpy with meat. Nachos very good as were the fries, when they finally came. Seven of us ate here one being a child. All items ordered except one was under $20. One tea, 4 pops, rest water. Bill was $177. They gave themselves a generous tip.
Yummy brunch place! The place is super busy. Be patient while you wait, it s worth it.
Excellent service, great atmosphere and great breakfast
First time there and the food was absolutely delicious. The Bacon Bennys was cooked just right. The pressed coffee was amazing
Great spot with a lot of home made options including the daily soup and bread. Unique space that is at the back of the building. Staff is friendly and the place is clean. Soup and sandwich is very generous and filling. Its a touch pricey but the quality and atmosphere are there.
Cozy, funky joint youd expect to see featured on Guy Fieris TV Show Diners, Drive-ins & Dives. The staff we encountered were attentive & friendly, the potatoes & fries were crisp and seasoned, eggs were cooked perfectly & hollandaise sauce seemed made in-house. It seems like a popular for both friends and families to frequent. Some outdoor seating and ample parking. Coffee is served in its own French press. Parking: One-way angle parking Kid-friendliness: Welcoming kids and offering their own menu on a super-hero coloring sheet.
Amazing lunch/brunch today! Our first time visiting and will definitely be back. We had Ceasars, chicken and waffles, and a burger with Greek fries. It was all SO delicious! Our service with Matthew was awesome, friendly and attentive. This was a child free visit but our daughter will love it there too Highly recommend!!
This place is a bit tucked away out of sight from the main strip and I hear from the locals that it s a hidden gem. Very reasonable prices, good food, quick service, and a nice dog friendly patio. Server brought out water for the dog. Overall, great experience. Pictured: Loki Pastrami hash and one of their fresh salads.
Loved the breakfast - had the eggs Benny and it was perfect. The sandwiches great too. Really like the choice of how your fries can be done as well. Service is awesome Food : 5/5
Was so excited to eat here. The food looks amazing. We waited an hour for a table which was to be expected and they brought us mimosas to the patio whacks we waited. Rave that! When we ordered our food, looks perfect. BUT! Poached medium and twice I got effaced that ran over my plate, whites included. I can get by a softer yolk. But mucus on my plate TWICE I d unacceptable. Now I am starving and two hours into when I should be full. So not ok with this. Don t send out a fricken egg that isn t cooked right. Other than that our server was amazing. Staff was exceptional and they righted it by not charging my guest tab. Unfortunately I m still hungry.
The fun guy sandwich is the best sandwich I ve had in Canada! Can t wIt to try the vegan . Thanks so much x
After reading multiple reviews for Lokis Garage , we wanted to give it a try, because I m a big fan of Sunday brunch especially eggs Benedict, unfortunately we happened to get a negative experience as some other reviews on here talk about . If you go in hungry or have somewhere to be , expect to wait over 45 minutes for food. The food itself was okay , the price wasn t too bad , the hollandaise didn t have much flavour at all . It seemed as though the staff were either focused on only their own section , or doing one trip/job each time they were out on the floor, less efficient trips which led to multiple tables waiting to be acknowledged. I watched tables get sat after us and get their food order taken before ours . We questioned if we were forgotten . We got sat within 5-10 minutes , but I would have rather waited the quoted 15 minutes or more for the server to catch up in their section before getting sat and waiting about 20 mins to be greeted by anyone at the table .
What a little hidden gem, it s tucked in behind front street. Coffee is served in a French press and was literally THE best cup I ve had in ages. The food was decadently delicious and piping hot, a must have in my books. I m going to be sharing about this exceptional all over my socials! Thanks so much for a memorable meal
Cant say enough good about this place. Possibly the best Benny Ive had. Food is clearly hand selected, service great even when busy.
Great food ! Try the Paella!
Best breakfast in town !!
I am not an influencer, however I hope I can influence at least a few to avoid this car wreck of a restaurant. I am unable comment on the food as ours never did arrive. What I can comment on is the staff is woefully under trained and lack any resemblance of support. I can also add that the manager lacks the skill to not only try to manage a kitchen but to provide any sort of reasonable customer service. Save your hard earned money and take your business to any of the other gems close by.
The food was delicious. The chicken and waffles are huge and filling. The bacon Benny is to die for. Lots of gluten free options! Would recommend Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
Great place for morning brunch
Took over an hour for 1 sandwich with a side of fries. The pastrami sandwich was $20! It didnt have any flavour besides mayo between bread slices that were thick and unhealthy portions. Saurkraut was invisible. It was uncomfortable eating huge bites that taste bland. Boring salad - greens with a few slices cukes n tomatoe and pumpkin seeds with flavourless dressing. Totally boring plate. We were really disappointed after all the hype for this place. The fries were outstanding, however. I dont think Id come back though. Sorry Loki. You left us hungry for too long, disappointed in the delivery, and charged us a fortune for the displeasure. View of the parking lot is not why I come to the Okanagan, and living here now is another reason never to go back. Nest is a far better experience for brunch. We gave the server this feedback, and they seemed like they did not know what to do about unhappy clientele. We were happy to finally leave after being taken hostage waiting without drink refills.
Great find. Down an alley. It is an old garage thats been repurposed. Excellent sandwiches, I had the chorizo one. The accompanying salad was not an afterthought..fresh greens, vinaigrette dressing. Attentive service and I thought good value. Worth checking out instead of the ubiquitous chains. Highly recommended
Awesome Sunday Brunch food. Will be back to check out the lunch and dinner menu.
Leaving a high review just because of what weve heard. Unfortunately, we didnt get to try this place because of the hours we were in town for the weekend for work and my bestfriend/coworker told me of this place because he towed the owners truck when it broke down and said it was really good so my girlfriend and I tried to go one night but stopped serving food after 10 which is understandable but then close at 5 on Saturday which we were hoping was open later but hopefully we can try this place when we are in town next year. Other than that weve heard nothing but great things about the restaurant
Best Caesar in town! Great staff and delicious food, in house made focaccia is to die for - highly recommend their brunch!
Went to Lokis tuesday june 13th it was my first time being there. Everyone was very welcoming and super nice! they were pretty busy and even though they were, the service was amazing and the food was very quickly delivered! Id like to give a huge shoutout to our waitress i didnt get her name but she was wearing a light blue lulu lemon tanktop! She was absolutely amazing and very personable thank you for an amazing experience
What a fantastic spot. An absolutely great brunch. Kate my server was excellent and management was wonderful. The combination of ingredients was fresh and tasty as well. TY for a great start of the day.
Wonderful atmosphere, cant wait to go back and take friends.
We were just looking for coffee at 4:30 good luck noticed this place was open until 8 and served a morning brunch so chances are coffee is available. Tucked away easy to find but not obvious from the street. Wonderful fresh coffee served in a French press! Would have liked a dessert pastry type thing but decided on Greek style fries and lettuce wraps. Massive amount of delicious fries with yummy tzatziki, shredded cucumber included. Lettuce wraps were delicious topped with crispy chick peas. More food than we could handle but what a nice experience. Oh had to try the special drink watermelon and mint margarita yeah that yum. All for under $50. Going back on my next visit to penticton.
Lokis Garage is a hip little place that is great for brunch! Their chicken and waffles were so good. Its the only place where Ive seen hollandaise with it too, which really elevated the dish! Each person gets their own mini french press when you order coffee, which is endlessly adorable. Highly recommend!
Very nice breakfast place, entire place has vintage vibes, good food great service by their team. Our group enjoyed it. Ordered portobello, chicken waffle and Bailey coffee and it was great. Definitely recommend a visit for brunch 9-1
Its pretty good breakfast dinner, there hash is huge my friend had a Benny and said it was very good
Very accommodating to our dog! The pastrami sandwich will make me visit each and every time I come back to Penticton! Interesting location but easy parking! Great servers too.
Truly recommended. Great food.
Great food, better than I was expecting. More on the pricy side
The food was amazing and the atmosphere was also really great I liked the vibe of the whole place. But the thing that really made this place such a great experience was our server Rachel. She was amazing, she recommended some drink for us the, watermelon mojito, and was just all around very friendly. Parking: Has a good parking lot and the one across the street is free during the weekeend I belive
Great eggs bennies
Wonderful brunch at Lokis with great service and delicious cocktails! Homemade chorizo, local hot sauce... Yum!
With no call ahead they accommodated our group of 9 easily and served us amazing food. The servers were attentive and quick!
A must go for brunch! great food and kind staff
Very cool little place, went here for brunch with a few friends, service was good and food was good although very oily
Googled dog friendly patio and this place came up. I ve never had a pastrami sandwich before so I can t say if it was good- I really enjoyed it! But have nothing to compare it to. Got the Greek fries- a bit disappointed . The menu wasn t wrong- fries with feta cheese and onion and tzsiki on side. The cheese and onions don t stick to the fries so I basically had fries that I dipped in tzsiki then used a fork to eat cheese and onions after. Waitress super friendly and lots of water dishes for Jasper
Nice little local place to eat! The service was wonderful, Kate our server, was great to us. The food was delicious and very well served, with big portions. You have to try the chicken and waffles, you wont be disappointed. Highly recommend this place!
Slooooowwwww service
Excellent food loved the chicken and waffles. Portions are huge
The food was amazing . Likely the best breakfast I ve ever had . Chorizo hash . The patio had nice shade and is dog friendly . The bright and shiny drink is tart and delicious. Alexis gave us great service and knew the menu inside and out !!! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free Fryer
Not thrilled with first impressions here. I think they were short staffed but the service was terrible especially for a Thursday at 1030am. We waited well over half an hour to get water and drinks and another 35 minutes to get refills (after I went in and asked) and our two friends who arrived 10 minutes after us didnt even get water for 35 minutes. The food didnt come out for an hour and thirty minutes and none of our eggs were cooked properly. We didnt send them back because we were in a rush at that point and didnt want to wait any longer for food. The table behind us ended up walking out after they sat with empty water glasses for over 30 minutes as well. Maybe it was a bad day but I certainly wont be returning here.
We were in Penticton for 5 days and went here twice for brunch. Both times, the food was amazing. My boyfriend absolutely loved the chicken and waffles. And I loved the pastrami eggs Benny. Will definitely recommend
So good, we walked in and got a patio table very quickly. The servers and staff are very kind and friendly. The food is fantastic especially the yogurt parfait and waffles are fantastic. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming 10/10 recommend.
$$$ but worth it. Breakfasts were really great and the French press coffee was a nice touch.
We came here for brunch last year during Ironman so it was fairly busy. We were lucky though and got a table within ten minutes. Very friendly service, helpful with the menu, food was AMAZING. Highly recommend.
Amazing coffee, individual French Press, brewed using Summerlands very own Backyard Beans. Looking for more than coffee? Try the Eggs Benny on their fresh baked in-house focaccia . Chill vibes! I wanted to stay long after the meal to soak it up. Highly recommended.
We just had an incredible experience at Lokis. The team were excellent and the food was amazing. We were a group of 14 and everyone was happy with our experience. Cant wait to come back again. Dietary restrictions: They have a GF fryer!!!
All of the foods are so delicious. Chicken is so crispy. The portion is big and price is really reasonable! Will revisit again!
Excellent spring fling salad and Fun Guy sandwich! A gem of a restaurant.
Very disappointed with the food. We were 4 people, each one of us ordered a different meal and, every single ones of the meals were greasy, drowning in oil, fat. It was actually disgusting. We barely eaten anything. If you expect something somewhat healthy, this is not the place for you. Way too expensive for what you re getting.
We dropped in on a Holiday for a late lunch service was a little slow but very pleasant. Our server was very accommodating helping make our choices. Our food came quickly and hot making me very happy. We enjoyed our meal only negative was the cool air coming from the open door Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access to enter & move about.
The only complaint about the food was that the focaccia toast which had amazing grill marks was actually refrigerator cold. Everything else was delicious. The service was amazing. The music was slightly loud which hampered conversation, but overall it was a delicious anniversary breakfast.
We are from out of town and were so happy to find such a cool little spot. We ordered off the regular lunch menu and the brunch menu and were very happy with everything. The pastrami sandwich was incredible and their daily soup hit the spot. The server was very knowledgeable and friendly which made the whole experience that much better.
Yummy yummy. Been twice, both times for breakfast. Very tasty. I strongly recommend visiting Lokis. Food
Was good food and service
Over easy eggs were overcooked and didnt eat the meal. bacon was not with the meal. And they still charged full price I will not return and do not recommend as a breakfast restaurant. A&W serves a good breakfast.
Were new to Penticton and trying out different restaurants. This one didnt make the grade for us. Service was so-so (table hadnt been wiped thoroughly, etc.) and food was disappointing. I had the pastrami hash and could barely find the pastrami (cut into pieces too tiny to taste). I did like the sauerkraut and mushroom part, though. My partner had the bacon benny. Bacon was gristly, foccaccia was sodden, hollandaise was cold. Worst of all the potatoes looked and tasted like they had come out of oil that needed to be changed. We ate unenthusiastically and were glad to leave. Too bad. Also: shouldnt cooks with beards be wearing beard nets? I dont think they were.
Very slow service!!! After waiting for an hour, we couldnt get anything from our food order, even a waffle for a child. Very dissatisfied with the place
Great breakfast with smoked meat twists on traditional dishes like Bennies and bowls. Good hollandaise. Chicken and waffles and parfait also a hit.
Really enjoyed their food! The chips that came with the salad were sooo good.
We have the pleasure of dining at Lokis. Our dishes have always been delicious & hot. Ingredients are fresh and the food is plated care and always looks very appealing. Vegetarian options: Im not vegetarian but there are plenty of options for those who are. Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for making changes to menu selections for those of us who have dietary restrictions. Parking: Generous space available, for all sizes of vehicles in their parking lot Kid-friendliness: I dont have any small children but Lokis is definitely kid friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible for those with limited mobility or those using walkers or wheelchairs.
Eat here. Honestly. The service is great, and the food was excellent. Unlike most reviewers, we went there for dinner. But great menu selection and delicious food. Even our picky boys were impressed!
Had a great start to our day at Loki s Garage. The service was great and the food was on point.
I know this place has some great food because I saw other food looking delicious and people said it was but I was disappointed to get a very dry over over cooked Chorizo burger on my first visit today:-( I ll come back and try other things though I m sure it was a one off but I won t have that particular burger again I ll go for the cheese sandwich special it looked amazing
Portoello Benny was an awesome vegetarian option. Careful of the white sangria, as a veteran drinker I can confirm it has a punch!
Some of the best food in Penticton! Ill definitely be back.
A very popular place for brunch. Great for carnivores and those looking for an alcoholic start to the day. Coffee served slowly in small french press servings.
Delicious food! Just took a long time for the food to actually come (40-50min) after ordering.
Great place with good tunes and atmosphere. I highly recommend the craft burger. Good place to grab a proper cup of coffee too. I will definitely be going back
Great eggs Benny, great eats in general for a good price
Excellent food, atmosphere and staff!
We had high hopes for this place but unfortunately did not have the experience all the hype had lead us to believe we d have. You d expect any restaurant in sunny okanagan to be prepared for a Sunday Brunch rush, especially since they re literally known for serving great breakfast food, but on this occasion, they were so clearly in over their heads. We were lucky to get a table right away, but the food took FOREVER. We arrived at 11:45 and our order was taken by noon. Then the waiting game I kid you not, after 30 minutes the server came by to let us know the kitchen was slammed and they weren t expecting that(!???) so our food would be a few minutes behind. 15 minutes later we asked another server if she could check and see how much longer it would be. 5 minutes later she came back and said another 15 - 20 MINUTES!!! Like this is breakfast food, are you kidding me!? How long does it take to make a waffle and deep fry some chicken? We did finally get our food about an hour and 15 minutes in, and that s where the real disappointment came. The chicken was severely over cooked. Clearly the kitchen staff forgot about it. I m talking dark brown/black crispy skin! The waffles were soggy and chewy, and the hollandaise had literally no salt. My husband who was facing the kitchen said that there was a stack of waffles on the bar waiting to be served, that sat there for AT LEAST 20-25 minutes before being used. I 100% would have considered going back if the food wasn t so mediocre but honestly, if you can t put together a basic breakfast in an hour and 15 minutes, you re literally incompetent. Chicken and waffles is essentially fast food, so there s no excuse for a wait like that, and to have it come out after all that time, burnt and bland? No. So the good: - The service was good. The servers are pleasant and attentive. It wasn t their fault the kitchen staff were so incredibly useless. (All 3-4 of them!). - The drinks were good and came out fast. - The manager comped one of our meals because of how bad it was. The bad: - Painfully long wait times for basic food. - Food was mediocre at best. - Overpriced for the quality you get. - incompetent and underprepared kitchen staff. - The Bathrooms! Dear lord, they were DISGUSTING! I literally gagged as I walked in. Poop, pubes and pee ALL OVER the toilet! The sink counter was a literal pool of water. I couldn t dare leave it like that so I wiped it down because ew. Not 100% the restaurant s fault that some people are PIGS, but they could check on them at least once or twice! Just gross! We dine out regularly and totally understand that things happen. Kitchens get backed up. It s understandable. This was just so awful, I don t know how they could possibly change our opinion. Service can be your saving grace, but even though it was impeccable, it wasn t enough to turn the experience around. At this price point, we won t risk going again. Hope someone reads this and makes some changes because this is a sinking ship at this rate!
What a vibe, incredible food, friendly staff. If your a local or tourist Lokis is a MUST try
We lucked out & had lunch at Lokis today. Very friendly and knowledgeable service, food was real tasty, I enjoyed the chorizo hash my friends had a veg Bennie. Big smiles all around!
Delicious breakfast!
Loved the food, and the coffee. Great touch with the personal French presses for individual coffee. My mom was very impressed with the way they did her eggs, so high praise from a picky lady! Service was very friendly, when it got busy they still had time to meet everyones needs. Thank you for a wonderful breakfast. Vegetarian options: Veggie Hash Portobello Benny Parking: Lots of spots Kid-friendliness: Booths for families
Fabulous brunch spot, love the Eggs Benny options!
Fantastic breakfast! Bacon Benny with stellar hash browns, and egg white omelette special got our day in Penticton off to a great start! Friendly, well informed service was awesome as well!
What a great place! Excellent food, super friendly and chill server, and dog allowed on the patio. The whole package. Looking forward to going back!
Absolutely fantastic! The pastrami sandwich with the kettle chips is a new favorite for me. The bread was toasted perfectly. All the ingredients tied together so well. Staff is friendly, quick, and did an amazing job. A great experience, I will most definitely be back!
I dont like their sign in and wait system. They should do a waitlist online like other places. The food was good but nothing special.
Probably the best brunch in Penticton. I really enjoy dining in at this restaurant. Great service, great food, great atmosphere.
