We had Caryne (not sure if that s how she spells it). She was such an amazing server. She was very knowledgeable and understanding. She made our first time at the restaurant a fabulous time. We had an amazing dinner, maybe the best of our vacation. The rack of lamb was just perfect and the saffron risotto was great with either the roasted tomatoes or salmon as topping! The suggested wine pairings complimented the food perfectly. After dinner we got to visit the wine cellar and Caryn (?) told us a bit about winemaking in BC as well as their own story

Despite the fact that our experience with the food was excellent, I would not say the same about the service. It is very noticeable that the restaurant pays a lot of attention to every detail in the menu and the chef creates a piece of art from each dish. Incredibly tender shrimp, delicious warming soup and melting steak completed our unforgettable day full of wonderful adventures in Osoyoos. All this inspires to return, but not the service. We didnt feel welcome from the beginning.

A perfect evening from start to finish. Lovely tasting to start, the Unoaked chardonnay was the highlight! Followed up by an exceptional meal. Abby our server was great! We were visiting penticton for the first time, and came in for happy hour food and drinks, and everything was absolutely amazing! The decor, the food and the service was top notch. Would 100% recommend, and hope we can come back soon.

Beautiful venue. Lacklustre service. Was possibly the worst steak I have attempted to eat in 30 years. 40% gristle that couldn t be cut or chewed and the rest cooked properly but somehow had absolutely no flavour. Veggies and potatoes were delicious. Would not recommend as there are several other local options that far exceed Orolo.

Ive been to Orolo several times now and the staff there are great! The mushroom risotto was amazing, we just wish there were more vegan options. Also dont care for walking past the dead fish and slabs of carcass on the way to the bathroom. However the drinks are good and well made. Chris and Caryn made the night very special! Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian options such as risotto, broccoli and creme Brule. Dietary restrictions: They have some gluten free options.

Orolo is such a gem in Penticton! We came here for dinner and our whole group was raving about it. The atmosphere is really cool, the wines are delicious (nice to be able to do the tasting flights) and all the dishes we ordered were so tasty and had very generous portions. Our server Michelle was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Had a fantastic meal here with out of town guest. The drinks were great. Ceasar salad made at the table was excellent. Steaks, chicken, side dishes and desert were perfect and the service was top notch - especially Stella our server.

I would highly recommend dining at Orolo! The space itself was beautiful. Very unique and memorable with the industrial nature of the urban winery juxtaposed against the really relaxed and enjoyable chandelier and wood beam detailing. Needless to say the food was also fantastic! Awesome space for corporate events or personal visits. Ill be eating at Orolo everytime I visit Penticton!

A stunning restaurant that offers not only great wine but a number of handcrafted cocktails! My husband had the Orolo Burger and I had a dry aged 10oz striploin, whipped potatoes and broccolini, both dishes were cooked to perfection and very flavourful! Our server was very knowledgeable & friendly, ambience is amazing! Highly recommend this steakhouse, it s a must in penticton!

What an gem this place is! Every time I dine here my appreciation grows. The offerings are amazing, the service top notch, and the atmosphere is so inviting. If you havent tried this wonderful restaurant you must!

This is a really nice looking restaurant with a beautiful bar and dining area. You will have good service, The server was very helpful with decisions through the menu. They have a lot of really nice cocktails on the menu I tried the old fashioned. It was very good old-fashioned but not the best. I had the New York steak it was cooked to perfectly. My wife had the salmon dish. She found it to be a little bit more on the band side. All the sides on your steak are extra but the portion size is on. The sides have a good portion size. Kid-friendliness: They do have high chairs and our kid friendly.

We booked the Cellar room to host a welcome party the night before our wedding. It exceeded our expectations! The space was GREAT, super cool atmosphere for mingling and our guests loved it. The appetizers got so many compliments, especially the arancini balls. It was easy to communicate with the coordinator, who was reasonable and flexible. Thank you, Orolo!

Amazing happy hour big portions

Had a tasting and lunch at Orolo this weekend and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The wines were top drawer .The service from Larry in the tasting room and Brook in the restaurant was fantastic and attentive. Highly recommend stopping in when in Penticton

I came out for a Mothers Day meal and celebrating my being in remission after a long battle of cancer. My partner was unable to join me so I text him throughout meal and finally was able to speak to him on the phone after I paid my 95$ bill and left 100$ tip. Not sure why staff came over and actually told me to leave and have my conversation elsewhere. They insisted we were arguing but we were not. Just having a conversation. On after the other going through 4 people in total coming over to my table repeatedly harrassing me and interrupting my phonecall. I kindly asked them to please allow me to have my visit just like the only 2 other people were having in the restaurant. They refused and continued to surround my table and insisted that I leave. Someone from the back a trainer chef cameout and was right in my face and very confrontational and asked me to leave. I asked him why I had to leave as i wasnt doing anything wrong. I also stated that about 3 nights ago I was there and another table having fun, decibals over a conversation but noone asked them to leave. I was being bullied by staff and just because I was alone( a mom) on Mothers Day celebrating my remission of a long battle with cancer and talking to my significant other on the phone as we couldnt speak earlier because of his location of work. Who dictates how or what I can have a conversation about and asking me to leave ? Exceptionally inconsiderate and the fact I go there on a regular basis makes it even worse. The chef even went as far to push my leftovers with his hand all the way across my table towards me telling me to leave. I was beside myself leaving there and disgusted with the bullying. There was 5 people surrounding my table at one point. Very embarrassing and degrading.. this should never happen. They also provided a card for me to reachout to their boss and then told me they were on holidays. I have large groups of business associates and I was looking forward to bringing them here on our business dinner but Im afraid that there will be more intimidation and bullying and control going on by staff that dont respect anothers space even if it is on a phone. Am I not allowed to have a conversation on my phone if my loved one is.not present to celebrate? Why should I be bullied and accused of having an argument when thats not what was happening at all. They insisted that they were hearing arguing. I told them it wasnt. Why are they allowed to ask you to leave when I was having my visit on the phone?

Four of us went to Orolo on May 6th, for the first time. The restaurant is gorgeous, beautiful decor, the atmosphere is lovely, and the servers seem to be pleasant and well trained in their roles. The food, however, fell completely flat. I ordered the $36.00 burger, and although I can accept that it was quality grass-fed beef, it was absolutely awful. The meat had been divided into two thin patties, and was completely over cooked and dried out, rendering it too chewy to eat. As great as the house-made fries were, the burger was absolutely nowhere near where a burger at that price point should be. I ate less than half. My husband ordered the pork chop on a bed of pulses. He said the chop was fine, but the flavour profiles didn t align and the beans underneath made no sense with the pork. He did not enjoy his meal. After telling the server that my burger was hardly edible, I was comped a dessert. The creme brûlée was fine, not exceptional, but the real disappointment was the accompanying sliced strawberry. It had been cut on a cutting board that is obviously used for onions, and at this type of restaurant, this stuff matters. It was a hugely disappointing meal and not at all what we were expecting at this price point, or from a place that looks so beautiful. There may not be a prettier restaurant in Penticton, but for sure there is much better food elsewhere.

We had an amazing night out at Orolo! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. The restaurant manager Kellie kept checking in on us making sure we had a great evening and the chef came by our table and asked how the meal was! I fully recommend giving the restaurant a try for date night or a party or even just a drink at their amazing bar!

The service, atmosphere l, wines and food are the best in the area hands down! You gotta experience it to believe it.

First of all, the food and beverages were absolutely amazing. I ve never tasted a Bolognese as good as this. But more importantly, the level of service in this place is unbeatable. Granted, I don t eat at a lot of really nice restaurants, but I ve never had service like this. we were offered blankets when it felt like it might be a little cold and our jackets were taken to be hung. Entire meal had fantastic service and the atmosphere is absolutely jaw-dropping.

Despite hearing rave reviews, my Valentines dinner experience at OROLO was utterly disappointing. After eagerly booking a table and ordering a three-course meal, my partner and I found ourselves waiting for an excruciating two hours with no sign of food. We walked out after the prolonged delay. Orolo completely ruined our romantic evening, leaving us feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. Its regrettable that such high expectations were met with such a letdown.

We had a amazing evening with friends, super food, drinks and the restaurant is just amazing to be in. I recommend the beef tartare, and the steak with mushrooms and Demi glaze. Great wines and drinks, they even had a special Dutch drink called advocaatje super nice. Food : 5/5

A very beautiful restaurant. Servers were polite but very slow. It was clear they were short staffed as there were only 2 servers running around, seating people, and preparing drinks. When asked what we wanted to drink we weren t ready yet, the server left to give us more time but didn t return for almost 20 minutes I asked for a sweet drink recommendation and was told I don t know, I don t know what you like. My husband got the Maple Bacon Sour and we would not recommend, we watched the bacon get heated up with a lighter behind the bar and then dropped on the bar counter and put back onto the drink. The bacon smelled and tasted like butane and was extremely gross and unappealing. The crispy cauliflower and crispy brussel sprouts were quite tasty but lacked any sort of presentation. My husband got the fish special and although the fish was cooked well, it was just a plain unseasoned piece of fish on top of plain boiled potatoes the cabbage and pea purée were tasty but there wasn t much of either. I had the braised short rib and it was the toughest and fattiest short rib I ve ever had. I kept gagging because of how much fat was in each bite. It was plated with a bunch of what tasted like boiled unseasoned vegetables and plain mashed potatoes. It also took over an hour for our food to arrive so we just ate what we had and got out of there, as we didn t have time to complain and wait for something else to be made as we had to get home to our sitter. We wanted to go somewhere fancy for our first date night out since having a baby and we were extremely disappointed. Would have had more flavourful food if we had gotten fast food. We definitely won t be returning.

A truly amazing experience. Where do I begin? This restaurant is an absolute gem. Lets start with the food. Every single bite that I had at OROLO was a flavor explosion in my mouth. I decided to go with the steak and eggs and I have to say, it was one of the best meals Ive ever had. The steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right, and the eggs were fluffy and delicious. OROLO absolutely nailed it. For drinks - I ordered a Caesar and it was one of the best Ive ever had. The bartender clearly knows their way around a cocktail shaker because the balance of flavors was spot-on. It was the perfect complement to my meal and I savored every sip. But what really sets OROLO apart is the service. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed and taken care of. Our server made great recommendations and was always available without hovering. The atmosphere at OROLO is also worth mentioning. Its sophisticated and chic without feeling stuffy, and the lighting and decor make for a great dining experience. Whether youre celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a brunch out, OROLO is the perfect spot. In summary, I cannot recommend OROLO enough. If youre a foodie or just someone who loves great food and drinks, you need to check this place out. You wont be disappointed.

We were so very impressed by our first outing at Orolo! We were delighted with cocktails to begin (whisky sour for me, gin collins for him) and then we were dazzled by the food! My favourite appetizers of all time graced the menu and we were truly thrilled with the presentation and FLAVOUR of the truffle arancini and the beef tartare. They were in a word, perfect! A most delicate ricotta stuffed agnoloti followed with tender pasta and perfectly balanced butter sauce! The mains were an unbelievably tender beef filet and a perfectly roasted sablefish. We enjoyed all of this with a bottle of Time s Syrah-Cabernet and it was perfect. The service, ambiance, vibe, and feeling were all top-notch. We can t wait to be come regulars!

Stumbled upon Orolo looking for a place to grab dinner for my one night in town. Started with the sourdough and whipped honey butter, which offered the perfect mouthfeel to start the meal. Paired with equally buttery castelvetranos, a beautiful way to open a dining experience. Beef tartare was tender, well cut and well seasoned, house made crisps added a great crunch. Everything on the dish worked. Very light for a meat-centric dish. Kale salad was tender, well dressed but not over dressed, generous on the pecorino. A salad that doesn t make you regret ordering a salad. Staff were incredibly friendly, personable and accommodating. I felt very welcome albeit stumbling upon their soft opening/dry run evening. I would highly recommend anyone to check this place out. Orolo is the elevated dining experience Penticton has been craving!

Fried chick pea cake sounded good but was extremely bland. Served with two green beans (?) Several undercooked brussel sprouts and a white thing (baby parsnip?) With no flavor at all. Husband ordered the Time burger which was good as always....ironically with the addition of $50 steaks the $26 hamburger sounds very reasonable. We also ordered a side of sauted mushroom with fresh herbs. These were undercooked, had little flavor and the herbs had no flavor at all

Great food, great drinks and great atmosphere! So thankful Penticton got another option for dinner because we need it.

Jalisa was an AMAZING server! In the last 5 years I have ALWAYS had to ask for my water to be filled at least once. NOT here! It s amazing how such a small detail can make such a big difference in one s day! Of course the food was AMAZING!

What a beautiful restaurant. I brought a group of 35 from BC Wine Appreciation Society here for brunch and the food was excellent! Although we had the restaurant to ourselves, the service was really good. A big thank you to Kelly for organizing it and an extra big thank you to Christa Lee for the wine tour and tasting. As a group we are long time fans of the McWatters family of wines and we all thoroughly enjoyed the tasting.

A must-try in Penticton!!! Finally, an excellent high-end restaurant in town!!! The luxury but casual dining experience that so many of us have been waiting for! Yay! Service was impeccable and friendly (Go Tessa Go!). Food was perfectly timed and perfectly cooked. The steaks (aged and seasoned in-house) are a must .! The cocktails were fabulous. House wines were a treat. Pro tip: order the table side blue cheese wedge salad. You won t regret it. Paired with a glass of a red and a perfectly aged / cooked steak = heaven! Orolo nails it!!!

We have been to Orolo a few times. Rose was our server. She is very attentive, knowledgeable and personable. It seems like everyone she serves is her friend. I doubt that they are, but she just has that way of making you feel welcome. I have tried several items off the menu. Some I would not order again but the steak is excellent and its nice to be able to now get a good steak in Penticton.

I visited here over the weekend with my family members. We all agreed that this place has the best decor, atmosphere, and food in Penticton. Despite being a table of 8, our waters were always filled up and the service was provided very quickly. There was no dish that we did not enjoy that night, everything was very delicious and prepared fast. My personal favourite was the truffle arancini, hunter chicken, and a glass of their red desert wine. Each person at our table was also provided with a complementary chocolate croissant which was very delicious. My family and I will definitely be back once we are back in Penticton.

Quite possibly Penticton s most striking dining room. Service was fast and friendly and although the menu is limited, it features culinary creations rarely found in the Okanagan. Of particular interest is the aged beef, on display in the dining room, but expect to pay top dollar for steaks. Wine selections (Time winery) were excellent and our server was kind enough to give us a tour of the tasting room. Easily one of the valleys finest picks for an intimate and memorable dinning experience! Five stars.

My husband and I dined at OROLO to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and we are so happy we did! The atmosphere, decor, and food are unlike anything Penticton has to offer. Kirk Morrison has curated a unique menu that offers a variety of delicious options for vegan, vegetarian, and meat lovers to enjoy. Our favorite dishes were the Roasted Octopus and Mushroom Risotto. You also cant go wrong with a Dessert Flight to finish off your evening paired with an excellent dessert wine! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience at OROLO and we look forward to returning on our next trip to BC.

We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary at this fabulous restaurant. The meal was absolutely one of our top 5 ever. The waitress was professional, very knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu and friendly but not intrusive. We had mushroom risotto and rib eye steak with perfect veggies. The head of the kitchen came out several times to answer our questions and was also extremely knowledgeable about their offerings particularly the beef. We had a complimentary wine and gin tasting. Highly recommend this jewel of a restaurant.

We came in for wine tasting and had it with Larry who was a fantastic gentleman with great knowledge of wines. We had a delightful time and bought two wines to take home. Since we liked the wine tasting we noticed the happy hour and ended up trying some appetizers which turned out to be amazing that we ordered the beef tataki twice. Great deal during happy hour. Amazing service and kindness. Would defs come again!

Tried Orolo first time last night. Food once we got it was very good, almost an hour after ordering. Waiter was super friendly but nothing more than a sorry when he realized we had not received our food even though couples who were sat after us were almost finished eating. Arrived at 430 main course arrived 535 happy hour was over at 530 so an offer of another glass of wine at happy hour prices for the delay would have been appreciated. Will go back as we like their wines and food was good. Seated where we were they could do with removing one table and making space between couples way too close .

A nice dining experience in a spacious room with wonderful staff. Stephanie and Chef Kaz were wonderful barons of Orolo and made our time there fun. Live music for the win, you cannot beat it, ever. Great quality meats, really yummy. My only caveat is they need to leave the tenderloin more bare, just salt and pepper baby, chat it in butter/oil, let the meat speak because it was cooked perfectly and of high quality, nonetheless. All other dishes were fabulous (Im very picky about my meats).

This place welcomes all and has a deserving taste the cook and bar tender was hands down the best I ve ever encountered in penticton . I would say the best in the whole of the okanagan on par with the greats on the whole of west coast .. if you have the lucky chance eat and drink here.

Went here for dinner with a friend and had a great experience!! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was friendly and attentive and the actual atmosphere and ambience of orolo was wonderful. 10/10 would recommend for a very pleasant evening.

Dont waste your time on this place. The chef in the picture never stopped arguing with the servers. Uncomfortable tension among the staff, and by far the toughest piece of short rib Ive ever had. Our server was great, but the chef has to go.

When we were eating our food, the waiters were arguing with the cooks and the cooks were yelling and insulting the waiters all night. I felt really uncomfortable.

This is not unusual for upscale dining experiences, where emphasis is often on quality over quantity. The Seafood special, featured in the attached photo, was quite satisfying. On the other hand, the Tagliatelle Bolognese ordered by my girlfriend was noticeably modest in portion. For those who value fine dining experiences over larger portion sizes and are comfortable with a premium price tag, this restaurant will not disappoint. The ambiance and décor add to its charm, making it an ideal setting for a romantic date or a special evening out. The combination of a warm atmosphere and exceptional staff ensures a memorable dining experience. I would recommend it provided you dont show up too hungry.

We had an amazing time at Orolo in October with visiting family. Great service, delicious food and of course the Wine was fantastic! Our uncle had his first experience with Sabering some bubbles, which was memorable!

this restaurant dinner added a very special feature to our time in the Okanagan area the name horology is named for the study of time and thus Our Time At Penticton s Orolo Restaurant allowed us to spent Top Quality Time with the very welcoming and very friendly staff as well as the creative kitchen individuals who managed to create our very special dining experience Parking: free parking for 2 hour zone is close to the restaurant and there were quite a few of paid street parking very near the restaurant.. Wheelchair accessibility: outside sidewalk is even with the restaurant entrance
