Their food is so bad!! Their rice is weird and dry no flavour at all. The meat doesnt feel or taste fresh its so hard to chew. I wouldn’t ever come back to eat here!! Worst place tor shawarmas.
They are clearly still learning, but that’s ok! They were so friendly and the food was amazing! And so fast! Highly recommend (despite the rating they currently have)!
love this place , although give them some time to figure out their flow as they just opened. It can take upwards of 25 minutes but I love the food everytime
We have had delicious shawarma's from many different places. The restaurant again only had chicken available, which is what I always get but my husband loves beef. The staff was extremely slow with getting the food out. It felt like we had waited 15 minutes. We took our order to go due to limited seating and full of people waiting to receive their orders. When we took the wraps out of the bag the wraps had been labeled completely different than what we had ordered, even though we ordered exactly the same thing. We decided even though it's not what we ordered to try. Both wraps were very spicy (we asked for mild). We took them back and the cashier apologized and offered to remake our order. She handled the situation perfectly and I would give her 5 stars for her customer service. Our new order the meat flavour was not great, full of gristle and dry. They don't offer a sweet sauce and the garlic sauce tasted like Caesar salad dressing. We asked for no pickles and my husband found some in his. We were really excited for this new restaurant in town and will be watching reviews to see if anything changes.
Good food, fair prices. Went on the first week after open and it was quite busy and the wait time was long. But it tasted great . Worth the wait
It’s been open just over a week. Only had chicken available and very long wait. Food was meh. My son ordered a mild and it was very spicy. Very salty. One guy working very hard taking orders and making wraps. Also prices are very reasonable. I don’t think they should be open yet as first impressions are important. You need to be staffed up and have the menu items you are advertising all over your windows. Will try again in a couple of months .
I recently ordered takeout from Osmow’s in Penticton, and it was an excellent experience! I got the Oz Chicken Box, a Falafel Box, and a Chicken Wrap, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The service was quick for how busy the restaurant was. cashier was friendly and pleasantly answered questions about the menu as it was my first time trying Osmows. Everything was packaged perfectly for takeout. Osmow’s is definitely my go-to spot in Penticton for delicious Mediterranean food. Highly recommend!
heard a lot about the franchise yet didn’t find the taste upto the mark. Grilled Chicken was served cold and dry. Quantity was decent for the price and staff was helpful
Best food good service .
My husband and I ordered 2 wraps. Waited 35 mins, that was ridiculous and a terrible first impression. Wraps were not great. My mild was too hot and my husband said his hot was way too hot. Food was just alright. We will not be going back.
Just opened. Delicious food. Fresh and tasty. The meat was superb and sauces were tasty and complimented the dish. Just be a little patient. They are still finding their grove but well worth the patience. Bravo Osmow s Penticton. You got this. Food
First bite was all bread and very tough! I had the beef shawarma. I asked mild but it was very spicy heat. The meat, the very little on it was tough as well. My husband had the philly cheese shawarma and his was the same and absolutely no cheese! Waited all this time for this, Very disappointed
Great kebab, lots of sauce and flavor. Would recommend and glad to have this restaurant in Penticton
Huge portions, yummy food, and great value!
Not good. Got my order wrong, took very long, small portion, lots of ingredients on the menu unavailable. When i was leaving someone was coming back in with their order so they mustve gotten his wrong too. I ordered a lamb shawarma with lettuce, onion, tomatoe, turnip, and banana peppers. Asked for tzaziki. And NO pickles. Shawarma was bone dry (no sauces) and all i saw in my wrap was pickles tomato and lettuce. Lamb was ground lamb not shawarma lamb. Simple order but they still got it wrong. Its too bad, theres like no good shawarma in the okanagan. Lots of good donairs in greater vancouver area where im from but none here. Osmows was no exception.
Great food....awesome vibe!
Staff was helpful and friendly. I cant blame them for the experience. I was going to attempt a witty and wry review. But why bother. The owners apparently dont care enough to serve warm fries or let staff know that shawarma is supposed to have sauce on it. Overall review: dont waste your time. Strip mall, franchise garbage. Or dont believe me and pull up to experience of the driest, most souless, chicken shawarma in western Canada. I suggest getting a side of the siganture cold fries to go with it. At least you can use ketchup to wash the fries down. Having said that, it was very clean. So the 1 star for atmosphere goes to being forced to listen to new country while trying to choke down sauceless shwarma. Thats a personal opinion of course. Some people might enjoy this middle eastern/western american fusion. Might be a 5 star atmosphere for someone more adventurous. Tried to feed to last of my food to a racoon out front. Racoon wasnt interested after a couple bites. Hopefully the racoon takes time to write a review warning all the other raccoons to steer clear.
Ordered here on opening day, food was great and staff were friendly
Fries were plated 10 mins before the shawarma even went in the box resulting in cold soggy fries, took them 15 mins to make a wrap only for it to be the wrong shawarma. Timing needs to improve
I realize they just opened so I will wait a while and give them another chance however pretty disappointed with the first experience. Waited half an hour for a fattoush (house) salad and chicken shawarma on fries. When my salad was being assembled it didn t look like it had any toppings on it so I asked the guy what it comes with and he told me tomatoes cucumber and green pepper. According to the website and pictures it should also have onion. Anyway I said it didn t look like it had any of that and he informed me it was underneath the lettuce. Well, once I got home and mixed it up there was none of that, other than 2 pieces of cucumber . Luckily I had some tomatoes at home to at least add something but yeah, not the best salad I ve ever had. As for the other meal, there was like 10 fries underneath the chicken shawarma which was still in big pieces. So not a great value in my opinion. On a positive note the baklava cheesecake is really good! So if you re looking for a quick tasty dessert I would recommend that.
Tastes good but is very slow and the wraps are like half the size as in the pictures. They seemed ill prepared for the opening, maybe it will get better in a few months.
