We offer an all you can eat sushi and Chinese buffet cuisine. Enjoy a wide selection of fresh sushi and traditional Chinese dishes in a welcoming atmosphere with friends and family.
This is the best sushi place I’ve been to since moving out of the city. Great service, amazing taste and freshness. Hot buffet and AYCE sushi for 26.99 can’t beat that price anywhere.
We arrived just as the restaurant opened. The buffet was hot, and the sushi arrived quickly. The quality of fish used in the rolls wasn't the greatest, but it still tasted wonderful. Thanks for lunch.
We went after 730 for 12.99 take out Buffett. I wouldn’t go again. I am not a sushi eater so we didn’t have that. But the deep fried buffet was chewy and awful. Sorry I’m being honest.
The food is excellent and so is the service. There is a buffet to complement the all you can eat sushi as well as a desert bar and many unique drinks and bubble teas. The place can get quite busy, so I'd recommend a reservation on busy nights.
Food was good, service was as well but I didn’t feel like drinking the mystery cocktail of the food from the sink in my drink:/ other than that it was good lol.
We visited for lunch on a Saturday. We thought it was Japanese only and found that there were Chinese options as well. We settle for the Japenese menu as we didn't feel like going for the all-you-can-eat options (they have both Chinese and Japanese). We had a sushi special, good for two average seniors. We liked the different rolls, all of them, fresh with good armony of flavors. The Wasabi was the mildest I ever had, you will need a bit if you like the kick on the nose. The price was right. They have a senior discount but it doesn't apply on weekends or holidays. Washroom cleanliness is worth to mention.
Great place with a lot more space than the old (Fijisan Sushi) location. Same great sushi but now a really good Chinese buffet as well! Staff are super friendly and the place looks beautiful. There are 3 individual washrooms and lots of space between tables.
Vastly improved atmosphere. More open seating area. Sushi is the same as before and just as good. Came in for lunch all you can eat sushi and the buffet was included. For those who are picky with sushi and want variety, you have the best of both worlds. Wonton soup is one of the best ones I've had. Don't pass it up.
Came at 2 pm for buffet, states that it s on until 3 pm and was told no more stuff was being brought out. Very fusterating didn t eat
The BEST sushi in the valley! 10/10 service and food presentation. Vegetarian options: so many options to choose, one family member is meat, free, and eats here weekly Kid-friendliness: The staff are amazing with the kids, very patient and helpful
There was two long black hairs in my meal... the cook came out and sat 3 seats away from my father and I. He began to pick his nose infront of us? We left repulsed.
I ve only dined in once but I get takeout once a month. Food is always great and Steph at the counter is so pleasant every time I go in!
My favorite place to go. Would like the sushi dine in menu to expand though. The take out menu has so many items I love and wish I could have during a dine in. The owner is wonderful
When ordering my sushi online the staff very great and cheerful love service will be back again Kid-friendliness: They very kind
Awesome
Buffet was great, sushi wasnt the best Ive had locally but still not bad.
Food is great and service with a smile will be back
It was our first time, we went for lunch just after opening, the food was fresh and hot, the staff were friendly and very helpful.
The food is always greatstaff are friendly and will always try to assist but prices are quite high
The buffet was cold, probably because the plates were cold (where they are placed..) Watching the people moving into and out the kitchen their body actions. I hope they washed their hands before and after!! & Have a clean outfit every work day!!!! I just updated my food safety and so many red flags. The crabs leg had nothing in them! I m an east coaster and I went for all the seafood first!!
Great food, friendly efficient service, new, clean eating area and bathrooms. Will definitely return.
Love the food and the staff, always ready to please. I ve eaten in and have take out!!!
A really good spot for sushi is usually busy but at 7PM on a Friday its not too busy The sushi takes awhile but worth the wait I really liked the Sweet Potato roll a good spot but 20-30$ is expensive but really good sushi
So much to choose from.
Soups are rarely stocked with anything other than broth. Other than that the sushi always been good, for the area, and the price is great.
Best sushi in Pet!
LOVE the takeout options. I almost always order the same thing, so every time I call to place an order for takeout and they ask my name-- they already know what the order is. Popular Maki Combo. Change the Spicy Roll [as I am spice intolerant] to a Rainbow Roll. w/ Wonton Soup. + An order of the Salmon Sashimi. If you havent tried it yet, & youre looking for something filling and not overly pricey [itll come to just under $30], thats the order to go with!! My spouse & I have only done the dine-in/all you can eat once. It wasnt worth it for us. It came to $100, and we probably only ate about $50 worth of food. So, we tend to avoid the dine-in and opt for the takeout options. I love the sushi here. The prices are decent, especially if you order one of the combos. Doran Sushi is definitely the preferred sushi place to go for this area.
Great service, amazing sushi, and buffet, I go here when I feel like sushi, any time someone mentions sushi I recommend this place, if there was more than 5 stars on this Id rate it more Dietary restrictions: Tell the server ahead of time you have any dietary restrictions and theyll make sure to get those checked, Im gluten intolerant I let them know and she made a note while I was ordering
Im a repeat customer here. They have good service and good food for what you pay. I personally recommend the Chinese buffet over the all you can eat sushi for the best bang for your buck. If you stop in the coconut shrimp is a must try!
Loved it. Food was great. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Good quality and selection, very quick, best place in the area for Sushi, Maki and Buffet
Okay short story; Just go to Sumo if youre wanting sushi and pretty much anywhere else for Chinese buffet... Like even Pembroke Mall chinese. Full disclosure I used to eat at fijisan (Old name on pet blvd) when they opened, as well as when Sumo was moving. Lemme paint this picture for you. We drive in and my family and I park. Nice parking lot very new and lots of parking. Sweet. Go inside and thats kinda where the sweet stops. Nice entry but way too open with enough space to fit another buffet line instead of just the one they had. Also note that you can eat either sushi buffet (Chinese included) or just Chinese buffet (first positive you pick individually not by party ie. I had the sushi and Chinese buffet but my spouse had only Chinese) however this was not explained and we had to ask. The whole entrance was a little chaotic and unclear. We are told to sit wherever and got some waters. Cool... except we had to ask for more water 2 or 3 times before I got up and went to the counter to get more. (Soft drinks not included also had to ask) Now let me tell you about the food... Not good. The sushi was sub par nothing like they used to sell and the Chinese buffet was kinda stale. I have a feeling the food is not turning around enough to stay fresh so the tempura was soggy or stale, miso soup was flavourless with no tofu or seaweed, their advertised crab legs were overcooked making them dry (they also add $2 extra on crab leg days even if you dont eat them they had an actual sign for that), no vegetarian options at all btw all veggie trays had some kind of meat in them. The only saving grace was the cold desert buffet (secondish positive) but even that was weak (I ate my moneys worth in berries lol) but even the ice cream was all ice crystals. I might also mention how loud it was. I couldnt hear all dinner and full disclosure I am slightly hard of hearing but the pressure kept changing in the building and it really janked my ears. Also should note the signs for the food were not in the right spot. My family and I plan to not return and enjoy the quality sushi at Sumo. Oh I almost forgot but the better half reminded me that when we went to pay (38.99 + 26.99 + no charge under certain age + tax + tip) they tried to seat us again and we were like no we need to pay and leave lololol Great idea poorly executed with a clear lack of quality with focus on quick customer turnover. Vegetarian options: Very few if any Parking: New parking lot with plenty of space.
Always been a fan of the food, but when it comes to service, Im often disappointed. On multiple occasions my pickup order has been up to 30 minutes late provided my order hasnt already been sent out the door to the wrong customer. My dine-in experience was also irritating due to ridiculous wait times (for sushi (40+ minutes) to arrive at my table as I watch take out order after take out order leave the restaurant. Parking: Poor layout that often gets overfilled.
The sushi is tasty and the service is prompt. They have an assortment of tasty hot dishes on the buffet including Korean style shirt ribs and crab legs. The only downside of this establishment is that they dont serve alcohol.
Very good sushi and when you get the all you can eat, you can get sushi, chinese AND a dessert bar. Last time I was there the dessert area had creme puffs.
The food was not good, the fish was old and Chinese was disgusting somehow undercooking rice. The servers are inexperienced and have strong accents making it hard to understand let alone them understanding you. It would have been a good atmosphere but it was so disorganized.
Food is spectacular at a reasonable price. Service is above standard but the atmosphere is slightly lacking. Overall a fantastic dinning experience with minor critiques.
Came for dinner buffet with family tonight. Place got very busy, very quickly. Service was ok & friendly staff. However, clearing plates and getting fresh water was a task. As for the food buffet, nothing jumped out as incredible, most of the buffet was all deep fried and battered items. Not alot of vegetable dishes, chop suey etc. Most food items were bland and tasteless, however, everything was very fresh. One thing I did notice was there was not alot of added salt in the food items, which is a very good thing. I liked that. Another issue I had was the crab legs are advertised as king crab legs, but they are not. They are small snow crab legs (opies). Too much work and effort for such a little return on meat. Also, they were slightly overcooked. All in all, I dont have enough to complain about to tell you not to eat here, because you should, but for us it is likely a one and done. Theres better options in the area for a quality meal that might be better. 3 stars.
They are quick to made your other for dine-in or fir take out; about 5 to 10mins waiting time. A lot a shushi varieties and option with fish or vegetarian. There is a chinese buffet with comon dishes ( genera tao, sesame chicken, low mean, rice etc) Small dessert buffet and 6 differents ice cream. Couples of table to dine-in or you could order and take out or call and take out. Services polite and effective. Servers should come more often for drinks but it isnt to bad. Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian shushi. They are very good and tasty. Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking lot at front and no elevate entry
Food was pretty average, spent 200 dollars for 4 people. Dinner was pretty filling, plus the ice cream bar, left pretty full but 200 dollars is alot for Sunday evening dinner.
Excellent
The food was excellent! I appreciated the crisp in the deep fried foods. My husband and I both really enjoyed the Chinese buffet. The food was fresh and quite delicious! We are happy Petawawa finally has a good Chinese buffet. The staff were very nice and did their very best at a busy time. Well done!! We will be back!!
Love the sushi here, its so good and the Chinese Food is great too!
Service is usually amazing, however this time my order was 30m late on pick up
Great place to get your fill of sushi and Chinese food. Food is freshly prepared. Place is clean and staff is very friendly and helpful.
This is our favourite sushi place! Excellent and fresh food, and always delicious. We have never been disappointed. Eat in and take out are of equal quality and we enjoy both! We eat here more than I care to admit!
I havent actually been in the restaurant but I am a fan of the take-out. So far Ive ordered all the saucey chickens (not boney or rubbery with plenty of sauce) the rices (cooked well with lots of veggies/meat) and the chicken egg noodles (soft chicken, lots of onions). I also tried the stir fried mixed vegetables and didnt like the lettuce/cabbage (not sure) that was in it. Once I picked it all out it was great. I dont eat sushi but there are still plenty of tasty options for those of us that dont. I have been ordering using the website. Its a simple site that could use an upgrade. There are no pictures of the items and you cant pay online.
Best restaurant in the Ottawa Valley. Delicious food. Friendly & attentive staff. Highly recommend you check this place out!
We had the Chinese buffet and I cant say nothing wrong about there food. Everything was fresh hot and very tasty. We will be back for sure.
Had a great meal with friends
Love the new location! Its absolutely beautiful and alot of new items available. The mango slushy was awesome. Food
Nice new spot. The prices are ok unless you opt for all you can eat. 38$ per person is too much. Luckily you can order off the menu and get a good meal for less than 38$. The green tea is free with your meal, but you have to wait 5+ minutes for refills. I wish they had kettles for the table so it would take less time. As for the food, its ok. Nothing impressive. The veggie dragon roll didnt have much broccoli which meant the roll was a yam tempura roll with avocado on top for 12$.
Overall, a great experience. Sushi was great, the buffet was small but had all the things we were hoping for. The wonton could have used a bit more seasoning, but was also decent the way it was. Would dine here again.
This is our go-to place for sushi. We go to dinner every other week with friends. He has special diet restrictions, and there has never been an issue with making his food for his needs. Very friendly staff. The new larger location is nice.
The best sushi in Pet
Thank you for the good food and friendly smile and service both from the owner and staff. I looveee the tea. It reminds me of the roasted rice that I used to drink in the island. The sushi is very fresh. So many varieties of sushi.
Honestly not good! Buffet was ok at best but the sushi was not worth eating. Everything was bland and tasted the same. For sure not worth $38 a person. If you re in to gas station sushi then you will love this place!
Best place in the valley to eat sushi. Parking: Lots of places to park Food : 5/5 |
Price is good, the serving size is good, and the food is good. Never once had a bad experience.
The sushi is awesome, and so is the buffet. Prices are very fair.
Great food Great service looking for something special going to be hard to beat if everything remains
Best service, food is outstanding. And a good price for quality of food! Thanks
Good food! For a small town!
We ordered takout and it was delicious! the staff were super friendly too. The only thing that I was disappointed in was that the miso soup I ordered had no tofu in it at all; just broth, seaweed and onion. Other than that though it was pretty good
It was OK. We did the Chinese buffet, some things were good, some were bland. All the desserts tasted like they were just taken out of the freezer.
Kids need to stop handling the food in the coolers. A desert was dropped on the floor and the child picked it up, replated and put back in cooler. The creme mess was walked through by staff.
Grabbed the late lunch buffet and cant say anything bad for the price of it. Lots of alright food for a good price.
Went in not knowing how the sushi AND Chinese buffet worked if you had to choose one or the other, server was very informative on how to order our sushi & said we could do both! she was super friendly. The sashimi was fresh tasting and the rest of the rolls were really really good aswell. Chinese food was amazing & they had a good variety! Highly recommend !
Weve been twice with family and have enjoyed it. The food is great! Well definitely be going back.
Bang on for the price and very nice to have as an option for a small town like Petawawa.
It was an amazing experience. Food was great and the staff were very friendly.
Great buffet, quick to eat and go out the door during lunch hour, sushi menu inside is decent too. The all you can eat buffet is definitely the better option since everything taste excellent!
