We came for cocktails and found the atmosphere to be lovely, drinks made carefully, smiley helpful staff. Clean too! Very welcoming!

Ordered a pizza which I had to wait over 45 min for then when it finally came it was all burnt and tasted like a frozen pizza you get from Tesco Service was absolute bismal. No one ever came to ask how the food or drinks were. Atmosphere . Well there wasn t much of it

My friends and I have been to Bijou numerous times now with mixed results however we came for the abba drag brunch this weekend and I do have some negatives and they were big negatives. The drag act was fine, no issues there, however the basement room was hideously hot to the point of making people feel unwell. Yes there was fans and an air con unit but they was aimed at the stage and they just blew around hot air. It was unbearable at times. Also a major bugbear is the high tables that have stools. Why on earth have those? All they did was completely block off any view to the stage for anyone else? Seriously we wasnt happy paying to see the act and we couldnt because those higher tables are in there. Get normal tables and chairs so everyone can at least see. We definitely wont come back to see an act there again as its pointless. The service was quicker than usual which is good and the pizza was absolutely delicious as always. Seriously though Bijou management, sort out those higher up table and stools.

Great Bijou location for a quiet pint.. However on an independent celebration night for myself and taking a selfie of myself to express my enjoyment...I was pulled out by security and asked to leave the venue because a group of drunk ladies felt uncomfortable and assumed I was taking a picture of them. One of the ladies had stuck there middle finger up to me. This is being judgemental and getting the wrong end of the stick. It didnt need a security guard to ask me to leave the venue, it just needed a simple explanation to the group of ladies and learning right from wrong. Unfair treatment by that of security, and I only post my constructive criticism in the hope security improve for future circumstances.

Came for a bottomless brunch for 10 of us, the guy that served us (sorry didnt catch his name) was so friendly! Nothing was too much trouble at all, he made the experience even better than it was! And it was brilliant anyway! Cocktails were lovely! Especially one called Jade Bay! Food was hot and really tasty. Credit to all the staff that work here as they really add to a great experience.

Brilliant evening .... lots of fun. A few of us had ukuleles and played a few songs, as Bijou could project the words that we were using, everyone could join in and sing along. Fabulous atmosphere. I also joined some friends for a couple of Karaoke songs .... first time for everything!! .... but very good fun. [The food rating was for the drinks.]

Attended an Open mic/Karaoke evening in the basement room. I enjoyed the evening, it was a cosy room so everyone could interact and enjoy the evening. Jade was a good hostess in entertains us and serving drinks.

Some of our u3a ukelele group were invited to the Bijou for a karaoke session last week. It was such a fun evening. I didnt actually have any food as I had recently had a meal but they do coffee and cake from 11-4 (I think) Wednesday to Sunday, plus other food and drinks, so hope to partake soon! A great time was had by all!

Been to bijou on many occasions, saw all the rugby there, have seen some great singers there and generally a nice place to go and relax have a beer enjoy a great pizza, friendly lively staff , and Jade and Ashley always make you welcome . If the weather is nice sit outside and watch the world go by . I recommend

Waitress was rude and disrespectful without any provocation. Clearly has no clue about customer service and should choose a different career. No wonder it was empty. Ended up leaving and going elsewhere.

Me & 2 girlfriends went for bottomless brunch on 24th Feb and as avid bottomless brunch go-ers, this was our first time at Bijou and it is by far one of the best. A vast selection of cocktails and food on offer and the staff really cannot do enough for you. Cocktails are strong, tasty and NOT watered down, so you really don t feel like you re being cheated. Definitely going back!

Ist time at Bijon Peterborough really impressed. NYE 23 booked a table for 4 bottomless brunch and I am so glad we did. The staff were so friendly and made us feel so welcome from the start. Bijon is really nice inside. We had lovely comfy seats and the bar lady I think Ashlie was very welcoming explained all we needed to know for our bottomless brunch. They have a large range of cocktails, beers and prosecco, you can chose from as many as you can drink in your two hour slot. Including food a choice of pizza, tapas or baguettes and you choose one each. so our men had a pizza each and my daughter and I had the tapas meat platter. It all came out together nice and hot so we could share. We were not expecting as much we got and it really nice food. The services I must say was brilliant The manager I think she was called Jade was fab very friendly she went over and beyond to ensure we enjoyed ourselves and as it was NYE she made us a couple of her own special cocktails which was a lovely touch. All in all we had really good time and I would 100% highly recommend Bijon for Bottomless brunch really good value for the price. We will definitely be returning soon. Thank you to all the staff.

Stopped by last Saturday and it s a great little bar and they had a singer on which was really nice. They do table service orders rather than go to the bar which is helpful but it does make the atmosphere a bit stiff.

Strange place, a cocktail bar that had run out of ingredients to make cocktails. Once we did get a drink they were very nice but our drinks arrived 15 minutes apart. On the visit to the toilets downstairs the soap dispenser was covered in white powder.

A first visit, and wont be the last! A group of us came for the bottomless brunch! The meat and cheese sharing platters were so nice and the cocktails were tasty. Its a small venue but soo soo lovely, the staff were very attentive and fun. All in all a very lovely experience which we will be doing again soon.

I Visited Bijou last night for the first time and it certainly will not be my last. As soon as my partner and I arrived we were greeted with such a warm friendly welcoming. Absolute gem of a place in the heart of the town. Good selection of drinks and the food is absolutely gorgeous. The staff make this place. Very pleasant and have a great humour. Jade in particular was such a breath of fresh air and I hope she continues to grow. She is a blessing on ones mental health. The drink of the day was called Barbie and it was made to absolute perfection and served with a smile. The photos dont do it justice. Pop in and experience it for yourself .

Me and my wife were in recently and we had a brilliant time. The drinks were fantastic and the two girls behind the bar (sorry I cant remember your names!) were great to interact with and the drinks were some of the best in Peterborough. I guess thats down to being real cocktails too! Our only mark down of one star is because the beauty of local business is the people. One gentleman in a suit was not interested in conversation at all and his bluntess with customers and staff seemed very unprofessional and is the only thing that let this place down. However, we will be back again for the drinks and the fun members of the team for sure!

The venue itself and drinks are great. Tried one last go in this place this weekend but, unfortunately the vibe is completely ruined by who we assume is the manager, when last weekend an entire venue is chanting to get the manager out (which is no wonder considering is attitude), that is not a great advert. I attended last night and the general manager who own 25 percent of the company apparently was soo rude. A fight happened and now I am 50 pounds out of pocket as my hand bag was knocked over and cash has now gone missing. Called to see if what they could do and the assistant manager was so rude. Since it has been taken over i will never attend back there again. Disgusting service and was an absolute shambles by the end of it. The only thing that was good was the singer who was amazing!

Shocking experience yesterday caused by the general manager Gary I think his name is, from Newcastle. He made it very known that he made the rules, menus and owns half of Bijou. He was aggressive, argumentative, rude and the worst of all, was found being racist to one male. The way he speaks to customers and staff is absolutely disgusting. We also booked bottomless brunch and only received 3 drinks each and platters to share, not one each. The excuse from Gary was that theyre understaffed. Unfortunately this man is going to run the place down. I would avoid this place at all costs!

Just to elaborate on the previous reviews, I had the same experience with the manager. He was not only rude and ungrateful of our reservation at bijou but also managed to ruin our night. Very poor experience, definitely couldn t see myself revisiting. Thank you to the singer and bar staff which done aswell as they possibly could, shame management didn t meet the same standards.

Unfortunately, paid for more food than we got. I raised this with the manager, but according to him everything was brought out. It is sad, but not the truth. Before booking the basement, I was told, that the toilets will be private for our party, however everyone and anyone from upstairs was using them. Also, I was told there will be no music, so had to organise my own speaker, but when I came the music was put on right away. So, I was confused about what we agreed on. The staff were nice enough, but manager treated them badly few times in front of customers, so that was really unprofessional. At the end, I will not come back due to the issues raised above.

Went in for a quick mid week drink in the hope to avoid the GM and found out HE IS GONE!!!!! It s nice to see a place that takes notice and immediately takes action to sort out issues. The place already feels better and thats a mid day monday!!!

Called in for a drink and some food while in town today and was lovely to see the place has regained its friendly, vibrant atmosphere after going though a very strange period over the last month. Great to see that the management are quick to act when things are not working.

This place is full of rude staff from the door staff to the management. The drinks are expensive nothing to rave about, better cheaper places in town. Will not be going here again. Seems a lot of the good reviews for this place are fake and wrote by owners mates sorry but this is unprofessional and disrespectful to genuine customers wanting genuine reviews . Disgraceful

The brunch is definitely good value for money, the cocktails are strong too and the food was amazing! Turned up for a 11:00am bottomless brunch on time and they were not ready for guests. New starter training behind the bar on a Saturday morning and no prep done for customers arriving. We were made very aware that out 2 hour slot started from booking time, despite losing first 15 minutes through no fault of our own. Bang on 1pm we were told that our slot had finished but we re welcome to purchase more drinks. I will say that Jade and the new starter Bret were very polite and service was slick once started. However I wouldn t book that time slot again as it somewhat set our day off on a poor footing.

Absolutely amazing, was meant to go to London but train strikes meant we had to go to Peterborough, but no regrets. Superb service from Mike, enhanced the atmosphere massively and was so attentive. The whole staff were lovely and will definitely be coming back for more group bookings, best place in Peterborough we ve been too after living here for 27 years! Perfect venue for a party, I booked the basement for our Christmas work party, Jade did us a brilliant deal on a drinks deal . The atmosphere was lovely and we had 2 bar staff all to ourselves, so drinks were served promptly. The speaker system is really good that you dont need a DJ. Will be going back next year .

great atmosphere, during the day its relaxing and the coffee is the best in town, they are starting to do food which is really nice. during the evening the place comes alive. different events which I havent managed to see yet but friends have said are really good. the only thing I noticed early on was problems with were staffing level and trouble producing there great cocktails quick enough, but they said they are working hard to resolve this and it was early days and they are working hard to get it right. in all i think its a great place to visit

Had the best time at comedy night and will definitely be going again, the staff were lovely, venue Is beautiful, cocktails were amazing and there is a huge list of cocktails to choose from which are all done fresh. Such a beautiful place to sit and have a coffee! The music and atmosphere is so nice and there isnt any where like it that Ive found in Peterborough. They made the best coffee and staff were extremely attentative and welcoming. Cant wait to visit again and see some live music and films! X

Had 4 staff on on a thursday lunchtime all getting in each others way. They put bitters in my Negroni for some strange reason which basically rendered it undrinkable (even though they were on the laptop looking up a recipe). Nicely priced though. I really want new ventures and bars to succeed in P-town but it seems doomed already. Tapas and Paninis? I would of loved to have been in that meeting. Jesus. Ill have a Cosmo and a jacket potato with beanz please mate.

Went at lunchtime today. The QR code not working, no problem. Eventually the waitress came over, took our order for drinks and food. Forty minutes later nothing had arrived despite her telling us that is wouldn t be long. The drinks surely could have been served to us, whilst waiting for the food. My food arrived, looked really nice and well presented my drink arrived two minutes later, as did my knife and fork! The filling in my panini was not what I ordered but couldn t be bothered to get it changed as I had waited so long. My daughters food and drink arrived about 5 minutes later, again looked lovely and well Presented. Within 2 minutes of her being served the waitress came over with the card machine for payment. This we found really strange, whilst we were still eating. She didn t ask if our food was ok but I mentioned to her that my food was not what I ordered and that for future it was something to be aware of, her reply was just a sorry about that Such a shame as the food was nice and the actual place seemed really nice. Just very poor service.

We came to Bijou for the first time today to watch the minions movie at the kids cinema club and it was amazing! The children had the best time and the treats and drinks are a lovely gesture! We will definitely be coming back to watch some more movies! Will be recommending to friends and family

Went to watch Minions at the Bijou junior cinema club. Well worth the £2 entrance fee per child (adults free) and the kids got a drink and some sweets (quite a decent sized bag). Loved the basement atmosphere. Definitely would do again.

We have been here twice since Bijou opened and on both occasions our experience was amazing. Last time we came for the afternoon kids cinema. Wow, what a great idea and an absolute bargain too: a drink and a bag of sweets was included in the ticket price, our little boy was over the moon! We, as parents, had a lovely time too, while our little one was watching the film, we had some food and a few cocktails. The cocktails were absolutely delicious. The place is stylish, clean and welcoming. We will definitely come again!

A classy and cosy bar/loungr with very tasty cocktails and live music events. Spread over 3 floors that are themed differently, which is cool. I was tempted to give it 4 stars due to the fact the seating is quite close together and offers little privacy, but since its Peterborough, this place stands out.

First visit to bijou and unfortunately it was disappointing. We visited for a cinema night and to be honest our visit was pretty terrible from the get go. When we arrived a waitress (who was very pleasant but a little flustered) told us to take a seat and informed us she would be over momentarily. We waited a while and eventually went to the bar where she asked us if we had ordered a drink we obviously hadn t as she had not come to the table. When we got downstairs for the cinema event, there seemed to be a bit of confusion with seating arrangements with who did and didn t request a booth. The seating was bad so the screen was barely visible and the sound levels were CRAZY LOUD. We ordered pizza which was £10 which we expected would be a good portion so we were quite surprised when two slices of pizza came over. Just a little over the size of a slice of bread, When we mentioned this to our waitress she advised that she would speak to her manager. Her manager eventually came downstairs to see us and had the worst attitude towards our worries. We simply wanted to let them know that the advertised pints of Pepsi (£3.75) were not served in pint glasses and that the pizza was grossly overpriced in proportion to the serving. He was very rude and said things like well I don t make the prices and shrugged his shoulders. He also said well apparently that is a pint glass, that s what they sent us he was not a good ambassador for this company at all and made us feel very uncomfortable. We eventually left half way through the film as we were quite disappointed another group also left before us. Having worked in hospitality for over 10 years I would absolutely recommend a lot more training for all staff. If this is the quality of service that is deemed acceptable then this venture will not last very long.

As we were passing thought it looked nice and seemed popular, looked at menu and sat outside, staff were all really friendly, food was delicious. Both had jacket potato and a beer. Great value and portions good. Went back the following day but they were not serving food till later and we had a train to catch. Well be back again on our next visit to Peterborough.

Great night out, stayed pretty much all night and had excellent cocktails upstairs with a group of friends. Later on in the evening one staff member even made us nachos when the kitchen had closed. Very nice touch, and staff go the extra mile. (Thanks Libby). . All in all great quality at an excellent price, we will be back.

Visited for the first time and was absolutely appalled by the poor customer service. I ordered a chilli and bean ciabatta from the vegetarian option. And was given a beef ciabatta instead. Upon questioning the chef, he said oh must ve been a beef one. I cannot eat meat and he stated oh it s halal where there is no advertisement of that anywhere, not that it matters regardless. Blatant discrimination. The waiter gave a half-hearted sorry and asked to replace it if I want . They did take it off the bill and stated he ll take everything off the bill but then said he was being sarcastic . The juice was not fresh but tasted shop bought. Overall, no remorse, awful attitude and slow service.

Visited with my friend this evening and the chef was absolutely appalling. Who is sarcastic to a paying customer? Disgusting service.

Was excited to go but disappointed with drinks and service is strange set up, waitresses didnt know what drinks they were serving and the drinks were poorly made. getting the bill was difficult they didnt seem to keep track of what you had ordered. music was good though

A few of us went here around a month ago, get rid of the sarcastic little prat of a manager before someone squeezes the very breath out of his body. This would probably happen outside where he spends most of his time vaping.

I booked The Snugg area for a small party for my wife s birthday at Bijou. The booking process was easy, with great communication from Bijou throughout, and the price was exceptionally reasonable. On arrival the room had been set up as requested and is well decorated and spotlessly clean. The service throughout the evening was exceptional, and the team of staff were personable, efficient and friendly. All the drinks were of the highest quality with the cocktails and mocktails being a huge hit with the guests I had invited. I regularly use Bijou for daytime coffee, but will certainly be looking to hire them as a venue again in the future. I genuinely can t fault them in any way, and highly recommend you go and enjoy their venue!

Great night at Bijou for my birthday, unfortunately the comedy night was cancelled but the staff were absolutely lovely and the live music was excellent.

What a great evening we had yesterday. Amazing service, quality drinks and two brilliant singers. Will definitely be back soon.
