The food is actually really nice and delivery very quick. The driver was really nice However the English women on the phone is exceptionally rude and ignorant to the point I nearly put the phone down and cancel. I passed on my complaint to the driver to tell the manager any more of it there will be no more orders. Disgusting way to talk to customers. Maybe consider getting rid of the lazy lay about and employ someone whos actually good for your business. Other than that cant fault you guys.

I was very happy with the rice. Fluffy, fresh and hot egg fried rice. Unlike most of these other places that serve stale rice. The ceylon curry was also nice; not loaded w sugar and colours. Ill be back here

We regularly order a delivery from here and the reason being, it is consistently good! It is always delivered on time by a really lovely guy. The food is tasty, good portions and good value. We ve also eaten at the restaurant and have never been dissapointed

This was our first time using Shah Jehan after moving to Peterborough a few years ago. Up until now we have not known what the best Indian restaurants were but we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic and the service was brilliant. I was unable to load my payment card details to the online order but when I called they took the payment over the phone. The delivery time was spot on and even though it was New Years Eve and exceptionally busy, the delivery driver was full of energy. Thank you, we will become regular customers now.

A hidden gem in Peterborough. Because of the blinds, it does look like it is closed. Don t be fooled. Food is exceptional, and the prices are reasonable to cheap. Been there twice with my wife, and with a group of colleagues. All are impressed by the food. The host is a breath of fresh air. Knowledgeable on the dishes, and always ready with something witty. Go, you will not be disappointed.

I have had several meals from here, delivered, because of the restrictions, (plus I can be lazy that way!), and they have always been absolutely delicious, hot and tasty. Yesterday, however, my partner and I decided to dine in the restaurant. What a delight! I had not expected such a well-laid out and comfortable restaurant. Then comes the food! WOW! We had a table full of goodness! Samosas, onion bhajis, poppadums, pulao rice and mushroom rice, chicken dhansak (Mumbai), and chicken Ambwala. All this food was absolutely first-class. (Also more than we could manage, so the Manageress boxed it up for us to take home! Dinner tonight is sorted!) There were many items on the menu that I have never experienced, surprising as I lived for over ten years about 1 mile south of Birminghams Balti Triangle, so Im very familiar, (or at least so I thought!) with Indian cuisine. We will definitely be visiting again, with a view to work our way through all the new, untried dishes on the menu!

One of Peterboroughs oldest and best Indian restaurants. The place looks a little tired but the food is superb and the waitress (Maggie) is a star. I had Hyderabadi Lamb which was a new dish to me. It didnt disappoint, lots of lamb in a rich and spicy sauce packing a powerful chilli kick. Give the Shah a try, you will be pleased you did

First time ordering from this restaurant as just moved to peterborough so wanted to try something new. Ordered the butter chicken, which I ve had many times before from different places, it came and it was so spicy, like inedible. I attempted to call the restaurant, lady on the phone let me know that their medium spice is equivalent to a MADRAS and also went on to let me know there was two types on there a spicy one and a milder one, which wasn t specified online. I was met which neither a refund or an attempt to send out the milder one, kitchen manager very rude and hung up the phone mid conversation.

Absolutely spot on. They catered for our spicy pallet by changing a dish for us. We had 4 different curries and all were delicious and flavoursome. Will definitely order again!

Just popped in when passing whilst looking for somewhere to eat whilst staying in Peterborough. Found the Staff very polite and helpful and the food of the highest quality, the restaurant was very clean and tidy and I have no hesitation awarding 5 stars.

I ordered at 5:30,didnt come until 7pm,I asked for a peshawari naan I got a dry crumbley plain naan,the chicken in the main dish was like leather,never again

Visited Shah Jehan for work Christmas Meal. The staff were all excellent and the food was fantastic. Good range of food and drink options. Plenty of dishes that can be made vegan on request, and the staff and kitchens were very helpful and accommodating.

Best food this side of Peterborough, every dish has its own unique flavour. I always order online and its delivered within the hour. Love trying all the different currys but my favourite has to be coriander chicken.

A experience one will relish for time to come. Extremely high quality taste of the food and a family friendly atmosphere. Attentive staff lookafter your every need or want. House speciality dishes well worth a try. Im impressed by the high standards in Peterborough. Keep up the good work.

Wow! What an experience. I am vegan and my partner is a meat eater so it can be difficult to find a place that accommodates both. On ringing Shah Jehan they informed us they do not have any vegan options on the menu BUT they were willing to make any dish on the menu vegan by replacing the dairy ect We went and ate in the restaurant and the manager was incredibly accommodating and was able to make the chickpea curry vegan for me and it was the best chickpea curry I have ever eaten! I was informed by the staff of what I can and cant eat; E.G mint sauce with the popadoms and they were incredibly versatile and didnt make me feel like it was a fuss in accommodating to my dietary requirements. Friendly, professional and accommodating. I would highly recommend this restaurant and thank you to the staff!

Food was good and full of flavour. Service was very good too. My only negative is the fact they had no baby changing facilities and had to resort to changing my babies nappy in the carrycot.

We arrived at 10.45 on a Friday evening to find the Restaurant empty, but we three musicians were very hungry after a days travelling and an evenings performing at the Key Theatre! The gentleman who welcomed us invited us to choose a table and we ordered drinks while perusing a well stocked menu! We chose a chicken dhansak and two lamb jhal frezis, with a Bombay aloo, a saag bhajee and an onion bhajee, accompanied by pilau rice. When the food arrived it was quite evident that this had been freshly prepared and it was absolutely delicious - it hit the spot! We also had a very long, interesting chat with a Moroccan gentleman who appeared to be in charge of the kitchen! A really good end to our long day. At £51.50 for a substantial meal for three and including drinks in very pleasant, clean surroundings we considered this very good value! Highly recommended!

Very welcoming and excellent service, also very accommodating for making one of the curries milder than normal. One of the best curries weve had. The Chicken 65 was so good I know what Im having next time!

Worst lamb curry Ive ever had, very disappointed.

Careful when ordering a vindaloo, Ive had vindaloos up and down the country but this was the hottest, still tasty and enjoyed it.
