Excellent Sunday lunch. Something for everyone. Our kids really enjoyed the food too. Lovely location and a great experience.
Lovely and friendly place. I did a wedding flower there on Saturday 7th September for a lovely couple. I will try the food next visit.
Market fish with samphire and nduja broth is to die for. Staff are incredibly friendly. Love this place!
Wonderful welcome at this friendly pub. Food exceptional. Hot, tasty, great portions and delicious. Nice to see different options from the usual pub offerings eg. Feta and shallot tart, quinoa,. Asked 4 salad instead of chips. No trouble, beautifully presented. Thank you team.!!
I have recently been to this restaurant, and I have enjoyed the food. The location is beautiful, the staff are very welcoming and the food was very nice and tasty. They have lots of meals, but I am sure that all are very nice. There were lots of costumers and I believe that they were there because the restaurant is good. I highly recommend it. I will definitely go again there. Beautiful!!! 🥰🥰🥰
The Blue Bell is the BEST pub around the vicinity. The food, service and atmosphere is splendid. It was a lunch stop for us on our way to Gatwick from Bourne and we didn’t have a booking but they seated us and were very accommodating. They found some Tabasco for me to go with their incomparable shoestring fries. We had the chicken BLT and the Cheesy Chilli Sausage sandwich. It was just the best. Love love love.
Wonderful service and fantastic food. Everything was lovely but the Chocolate crémeux, lime butterscotch sauce, crystallised pistachios and pistachio ice cream was exceptional. One of those courses you linger over because you don't want it to end 10 out of 5 stars if I could
A thoroughly excellent experience for self confessed fussy diners. Clean and contemporary in the garden room, though the rustic main pub area is just as quaint and inviting, we will certainly be returning in the future. Food was outstanding, great quality, and very enjoyable, with a showstopper sweet in the form of a strawberry parfait to finish. Many thanks to all the team at 'The Blue Bell'.
Nice traditional village pub
Great Good old English pub, Lovely Atmosphere, Deliscious Food, Great Beer, Superb Modern Decor, Very roomy, Welcoming Friendly staff and Landlady and Landlord, a Real Home from Home. A must visit to Experience Good Customer Service with Smile.
Good food and well kept real ale. A bit quiet when we went. The menu and food were excellent.
Excellent Sunday lunch. Food was perfect and the conservatory was a lovely place to be seated.
Always good Vegetarian options: Always veggie options available Parking: Door step parking for disabled. Plenty available.
Great place to visit
Had a lovely lunch today, the food tasted fresh and of good quality. Parking: Disabled parking right outside the main door. Food : 5/5 |
Fitted us in at the last minute - great Sunday lunch - perfect service - lovely garden.
Great beer, friendly staff nice beer garden
Bit on the top end price point but lovely service.
Great pub, good proper food prepared and cooked by proper chefs, great service. Well done we loved it.
Hands down the best pub and food served in Peterborough with a great environment and staff. Have always come here as I m a local and never been disappointed!
Fantastic food. Really pleasant atmosphere and beautiful setting.
Service was brilliant but restaurant very quiet, only 1 other table in the conservatory in use and one table in the rest of the restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime. Disappointed with the fish and chips, the fish was pollock not cod and the batter was tasteless and anaemic. The chunky chips were too well done, no nice soft centre, crispy all through and some hard and inedible. My husband enjoyed his burger. Saving grace was the sticky toffee pudding, delicious. Was taken for a treat by a relative so didnt complain on the day.
The food was fabulous and the staff were friendly and the restaurant had a lovely vibe. I would definitely recommend it, and I will be back. Food
Not visited for many years , pleasantly surprised a nice pub , good selection of beers and friendly efficient service , will visit again .
Poor quality very over priced. Most people would cook better at home. I would have complained, and asked for a refund on food, but fiance too polite.
Had a lovely Sunday lunch , food excellent and staff very attentive..
Had a wonderful meal with friends. The staff were really friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Matt the bar manager was very helpful and went over and above to make our visit worthwhile. Vegetarian options: Changed option to suit taste
Great food, good beer and a fantastic atmosphere.
I went there one evening with a friend for a drink. It is a laid-back, traditional country pub that caters to the neighborhoods residents. There is hardly much activity in this quiet village. The post office, a tiny grocery store in Nisa, a pharmacy, and the church are the only public areas in the community.
Five Star January Lunch We visited today whilst travelling through Peterborough on our way to Leicester. The pub had just reopened following their early January break & it was clear to see the team were eager to be back delighting guests once again. Immaculate standards, extremely welcoming (& to our dog as well). Being lunchtime we opted for a Gammon & Burger. Both of which far exceeded our expectations, perfectly cooked & served with innovative twists on the classic dishes you only expect to find in a quality independent pub. We enjoyed it so much we bought a gift voucher to give to our family that live nearby. Congratulations to the owners, hospitality is tough gig at present, but youre doing an incredible job!
Nice. Busy pub good service Nice choice of non alcohol beers to go with draft ales .
A very nice dining experience. Good beer served and a house ale which was lovely. Always see The Blue Bell as a go to for impressive quality food. Staff were very polite and attentive and a good selection of gluten and dairy free options.
Totally delicious food! Fantastic, friendly staff! Dog friendly! Highly recommend!
Nice pub for lunch.
Cosy village pub, offering very good food.
Lovely
Absolutely Exemplary Staff, the Lady who booked our table and served us was Lovely, the food is beyond incredible , some of the best weve ever tasted, a beautiful ethereal pub thats an absolute delight, we very very highly recommend it, we will be back with friends and family, a wonderful experience all round.
Great food. Large portions especially the side dishes. Great service. We will be back!
Adventurous menu with some old favourites. Good service
Very nice meal and friendly staff
Mothers day treat , absolutely amazing , food was beautiful and staff lovely, so relaxing, high recommended
Great evening meal with friends. Staff are very good regarding Coeliac disease although as a non-meat eater, my choices were more limited. A warm friendly atmosphere . Thoroughly recommend a visit
Met a friend for lunch, lovely building, very pleasant surroundings. Staff friendly, food very good, service excellent, would recommend.
Great seabass just superb! Groovy atmosphere nice and chilled. Been back again just as delicious
Great food wnd service
Great service and amazing food. Thank you so much.
Great food on the two occasions Ive been. Proper pies always get a thumbs up, but the accompaniments are as good again, so two thumbs up. Save space for the desserts if you can.
Very nice pub- busy when we went so could only get a small table. Dog friendly though and a nice selection of beers.
Excellent food can highly recommend the duck breast
Lovely traditional pub in a nice setting
Its absolutely fine. Everything works as it should.
Exsellent restaurant, Exsellent food
Really like this place. Good food and beer. Friendly staff, good service.
Fantastic service , very friendly and helpful, parking great , prices good, quality of food and potions good. Recommend this pub to anyone who has dogs as they are made welcome too. Water in dog bowls given to dogs also if you order food for your dog that is also served in a proper dog bowl.
Excellent food, very helpful staff, slight variations to the menu possible. Fair prices for a good restaurant. Food
An excellent Sunday lunch today with family members, and that includes my 94 year old aunt who really enjoyed her meal( Childs portion), extremely helpful staff and very good service.Outside temperature was 30c but our table was in a rather cool area which helped considerably and wasn t to busy . Parking: Maybe we were lucky and arrived when parking was available, but could be an issue when the establishment is busy.
Very nice pub , stoped by for lunch .
We went to the Blue bell today, Sunday for lunch. We pre booked several days before for six people and all was fine, Two days before we went we had an un expected visitor and so duly rang the Blue bell t see if we could add another person making a total of 7 people. We were told catagorically that they couldnt do this at all . Anyway as it transpired two of our party were unable to attend so our new guest was able to come with us, now only five. On arrival the place was reasonably quiet with several empty table all around the restauraunt area and pub, We came to the conclusion that they could just not be bothered. Without much ado we had a very lovely meal which was of the best quality and quantity. We all felt that the atmosphere amongt the staff was a little strained with no one smiling at all. I think the food desreves five stars but the attitude although pleasant would be far nicer if smiles were more forth coming.
We had our family wedding celebrations here, and the day was perfect! The staff were all super lovely and helpful, and food was fab - everyone commented on how great it was and how theyd love to go back. Thanks so much to everyone at the Blue Bell for making our day a lovely occasion!
Lovely tasty meal, friendly staff, ate out in the garden which was pleasant .
Lovely lunch, good beer. Would recommend
Just popped in for some lunch and had a really good time, young lady serving was excellent and we will be back!
Found this pub very expensive and not at all friendly!! Food was ok (ish) but overly priced and not the best quality tbh! Have eaten far better for less. Found the bar staff very unfriendly, like they wanted your money but wanted you to leave asap
Fantastic food and service, food is freshly cooked . Reasonably priced for the great quality it is , no complaints . Will return to see Leon again
Me and my wife came here for our 3rd wedding anniversary Food is fantastic Great service Great place to eat and to chill Well worth the money We will be back soon
We visited in a thunder storm. Service was good, food was a little disappointing however changes were made by the staff.
Really good food, great atmosphere proper good night out in a pub
Wow such a great place, food is definitely 5 star staff are lovely.
Lovely food fish and chips and steak. Coffee for afters as we were too full for a pudding.
Good food and good service. Had a lovely spot of lunch here. We will definitely be returning!
Nice pub
Lovely old English pub nice atmosphere just nice
Was passing by and popped in. Hreat atmosphere. Real classic pub feel about it. Food was also very good.
Absolutely gorgeous food
Had a fantastic Sunday roast here. Will definitely be back again
Proper country pub,absolutely loved it
Great ales, loved the service, be careful of the Taig wandering through.
Friendly staff, good food, good company was enjoyed by all. Most of the family have problems with dairy and The Blue Bell took it all in their stride. We all came away with smiles and no cramps. Been before, definitely going to go back.
Staff food surroundings all excelent
Nice atmosphere, good food.
Excellent
Just had lunch here. The fish chips tartare sauce and their mushy peas was superb. Amazing friendly service too Highly recommend the bluebell
Excellent
Go here as often as I can. Everything is perfect each visit, the pub is decorated nicely, the staff are friendly and the food is first class.
Visit on Saturday lunch time, very dog friendly. Staff and customers where very helpful and friendly. Food was great
An excellent experience. The food was delicious and the staff were so obliging and friendly. Would give them six stars.
The Sunday lunch was amazing, everything perfectly cooked, the staff were extremely attentive and very friendly. Definitely a place to go.
Cute little pub has separate restaurant but also do bar meals.
Lovely afternoon tea
Good beer, good service and a beautiful establishment, reccomend to anyone.
Great food and service
We went for afternoon tea. Sandwiches were mediorce, very slim with the filling which we had to guess what it was. No other savoury on the plate. Plenty of cakes and again we werent told what they were. Tea definitely wasnt Yorkshire tea, bit tasteless.
Just had the best lunch I have eaten in years, stunning food, excellent presentation and service beyond belief. Thank you, I so wish we didnt live 300 miles away, but we will return. Incredible. Thank you again
All round excellent!
Fantastic service and a very nice afternoon with great food at a great price
Nice beer garden friendly staff
Great food and great prices
Great food, lovely staff and the perfect location....well worth a visit.
Good food and great service, we went in evening time without a booking. Our fault did not think that during the week it would be so busy, but they managed to get us in. Thanks.... If you want to get food book, its worth it.
Excellent food and service
Such a great garden area outside at the back. Went for the funeral wake of a good friend today, they provided a lovely buffet.
Booked the Garden Room for a family meal for my sons 18th birthday. The food was fantastic and staff very friendly and helpfully, would really recommend. Thank you to The Staff at the Blue Bell for a great service.
Excellent food and very dog friendly. Plenty of parking space and a lovely garden area Not 5 stars, simply because they were so busy and short staffed and we waited over an hour to get served. However, the lady waitress was super friendly and did her best. Recommended but allow plenty of time to relax.
Fantastic gastro pub
Attractive place, OK food. Not very friendly waitress. Reasonably priced. Dont sit in the conservatory if you want to be able to carry on a conversation, the loud peoples voices reverberate around and its like youre in a city bar.
always amazing food and such good prices for such a lovely meal. cooked to perfection and great choice
We both had their burger. Was very tasty and the fries were delicious
Great atmosphere
Been here before. Its accessible and the garden is accessible too. The food is quite exspensive. We were sharing a buffet which was lovely. The sausage rolls were gigantic and very good.
Lovely place to visit, I went with friends who are regulars. The food was great, I had the, rump beef burger it was delicious. One of my friends went for the battered fish and chips, they really enjoyed it. The staff were friendly. I highly recommend this place.
Very nice food delicious, great service
Great food & atmosphere. Will definitely be returning
Happy cheerful service, meal exceptional, market fish meal was my preference and it was cooked to perfection and delicious.Thank you
Second visit to the Bluebell and definitely not the last. This place always looks welcoming from when you drive into the car park. Staff well presented and look as if they really enjoy looking after you. The tables are well spaced out and all areas are clean. We sat in the conservatory air conditioning made it comfortable on a warm Summers evening. Good varied choice of meals and drinks. The duck leg was cooked to perfection. The burger accompanied by skinny chips and the belly pork I was told was very tasty and satisfying. Food beautifully cooked hot and carefully presented. Desserts were not dissapointing. Finished the Evening with a relaxing cup of coffee. This is a lovely place to meet up with family and friends. A lovely Friday Evening.
Service top notch, and I dont say that lightly. Friendly, engaging and efficient. The food was the best of its kind I ve ever tried. Attention to detail counts the bread- the freshest ever, the salad garnish - dressed and tasty. Look forward to returning and spending more time
Superb meal and superb service.
The staff were lovely, bubbly and chatty. The beer garden was relaxed and romantic enough for my first date
Fantastic food and great beer garden
Great service and food. Excellent choice of food and drink in a lovely village setting. Easily able to cater for those with coeliac disease. Lovely outdoor courtyard. Plenty of parking on site .
Very good food excellent everyone friendly recommended to anyone
Very nice food a pub
Great service. Delicious food . I would definitely recommend it.
Food is lovely, good service - we prefer a table in the main dining area, not insider the conservatory.
Very polite and helpful. Good food.
Amazing food and very reasonable priced for the quality of food they offer. Would definitely eat there again. Steak was fantastic!
Great food and service.
Friendly staff and the food was very good, but a bit over priced
Perfect pub. Excellent beer (Timothy Taylor Landlord) and first class Ciabata served beautifully. I shall make a point of going again and recommend you do too.
Fantastic food, lovely area....and the service to match.... Top marks.... Well be back for sure....
Food over priced and not very tasty
Nice village pub
Very enjoyable meal with interesting and varied menu. They were also helpful with food allergy and made useful suggestions.
Sunday lunch very nice a bit expensive.
Excellent Sunday Lunch. Prompt and Friendly service. Always a good experience.
The food was not so good.
Ranks very well on food, sevice and ambience, but beer is just ok.
Spur of the moment visit but was amazed at the place, warm friendly atmosphere with a nice selection of drinks available
Great service
Lovely place to eat !
Pleasant dining atmosphere and surroundings. Social distancing observed
Good food nice staff
Lovely pub, great service, great food, great selection of booze
Fantastic service highly recommend
Wont be returning. I don t like giving poor reviews but i don t know what has happened at what used to be a great village pub. Its only my own thoughts of course but i think the foods too posh and expensive. There was nothing at all on the menu i liked but the wife wanted to go so i went along with it. Not the best choice of lagers, certainly not much choice of food, wasn t cooked how i asked either. As far as the actual pub is concerned its a well kept, tidy place with good parking, the staff are all friendly and helpful but i feel its aimed at rich townies not folk like myself.
Great food and beer garden
Had a warm welcome on our arrival for a family Sunday roast, other meals are available. Service was quick to order & didnt have to wait long for meal Meal was well presented with vegetable arrived separate as sides. Meal was hot with gravey on side as well. Good choice for deserts & again well presented. Really enjoy the meal & deserts, service & staff excellent experience
Real ale ok could do with some craft beers
Proper good evening food drink company and service
Lovely little outside seating area for the summer evenings
Lovely meal and friendly service. Would very much recommend.
First class service food fab staff seemed to be happy
Lovely food, however drinks menu is very expensive for a country pub and a limited range of beers Cocktails are lovely though
Great beer garden and friendly service
Nice environment but pricey mediocre beer.
This is the best. The food is always fantastic. The chocolate devil cake is amazing. Thank you to everyone at The Blue Bell.
Such a lovely friendly family pub to visit. Managers and staff a credit to this well presented pub.
Attended a wake at this public house. Food was good. Not the biggest of space for the venue. But still a very nice tranquil place to be. A lively village pub
Absolutely gorgeous pub, nice outside area. The food and service are just outstanding.
Good friendly staff and atmosphere. Food is excellent... Go visit.
What a gem. Good food good service, great location. It has to be visited
Good atmosphere. Enjoyed the food. I had the steak, cooked exactly as I requested.
Great place. Lovely place to eat and meet up with you friend for dinner or lunch. Quiet busy place so waiting time for food is about 1 hour but staff is warns you about. About staff, really helpful and professional.
Nice pub, not as many exciting ales that I would like to see.
Excellent location and unique approach to peanuts!
Absolutely phenomenal food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Dog friendly too which was a plus for us. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Good menu and excellent food. Lovely old pub.
Excellent friendly staff Excellent food Cosy place.
Always amazing food and service. Really friendly atmosphere and a wonderful place to spend the afternoon or evening.
Amazing food, one of the best weekend lunches Ive had in a really long time. Dessert was great too!
Well another fantastic meal at this lovely place . The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome and the food is outstanding. Highly recommend this venue
Lovely pub with great food and good service
Delicious food served in a comfortable atmosphere
We had our Dads 80th birthday here, we have been numerous times before. 20 of us including children, the food was great, service impeccable and timely.
Friendly local pub with excellent food and great service.
The food was lovely, service great and friendly staff.
Very nice, good food just a little different. Plenty of parking,as long as its not picking up time at the school next door!!!.
Lovely village pub with great friendly service would definitely recommend it . Trev
Good food and plesent staff will go again
Had a lovely evening with family and friends. Had drinks around the log burner before having an excellent meal. Efficient, friendly service in cosy surroundings of a lovely old pub. Will definitely be returning - couldnt fault anything. Made very welcome.
Lovely atmosphere, family friendly pub. Delicious food. The venison and cod dishes were very tasty. Kids pasta was a bit underwhelming basic sauce on shop pasta, but otherwise the mains were delightful and well cooked. I would recommend.
Excellent food and service. Tables distanced, so felt very safe.
