Driving through town we found this little diner. The breakfast was excellent. Sausage was done perfect, eggs- good, but the hashbrowns were the best, real potatoes! The service was good. A real smalltown vibe. My only complaint would be it was cold in there. The locals seem to like this place too. Prices are good too.

Also, sometimes known by its old name Thurstons by folks from the area, this diner is definitely worth it. Portions are generous, prices are very good. Not a lot of 'frills' or alternative ingredients, which is just fine when what you're looking for is basic good food. The sign outside is bleached off (almost entirely white) but if the open sign is lit up they're open and you should definitely stop in. You won't be sorry and you won't leave hungry.
Don’t judge by the outside, more than meets the eye. I brought my mum here for her birthday and we both loved it. Staff are super nice and will treat you like family. All the breakfast stuff is filling. Go for the french toast! We will be back
This little diner, or dive diner, is absolutely fabulous! The breakfast was very plentiful. The service was pleasant, efficient, and very courteous. I had forgotten what is was like to have such a great breakfast experience. The homefries were to die for. Well done, I will be back several times.
This place is such a hidden gem! The food was delicious. Super friendly atmosphere and great service. Finally found a breakfast spot with excellent coffee! While the outside may appear more ' dated ' the food, staff and service more than impressed me. We will definitely be back!!
This was SUPER GOOD. Like the gravy the onions & mushrooms with the baked potatoes is so GOOD. You have to make sure you get the baked potatoes. The gravy is so good with the baked potatoes. The atmosphere is so classic too, authentic & classic.

Cozy, casual breakfast place. If you re confused because there s no signage, you re in the right place. Fast service, the food was good, and the coffee was refilled constantly. The portions were satisfactory. The Hollandaise sauce was quite nice! I would come back here again for a quiet brunch. It was steadily busy, but not packed. Seems to be lots of regulars that come here.

Delightful local diner. Great service and tasty food. From the outside, it is very unassuming. They have Wi-Fi, which i used while eating pancakes and sausage. Note: Washrooms are downstairs, not wheelchair accessible, but they are clean.
Beautiful mom and pop style diner, I frequent often. This place uses delicious ingredients and has wonderful coffee. Quantity and quality for great prices. Please check them out, you wont regret it.

Little family run breakfast/lunch spot in the Southend of Peterborough Ontario. You will not find better treatment anywhere.
The breakfast staple items like eggs, toast, bacon, etc are all good here. We found the hollandaise sauce to taste kinda like plastic and the veggies were a little suspect. I love diners though, so Ill be back but Ill stick to the basic part of the menu.

I especially enjoy their cream soups with a grilled cheese sandwich and a strong pot ofe of home frird tea. Another of my favourites is a bacon, lettuce and tomatoe dandwich on a bun with a side of home fries.
Best food ever
Awesome breakfast with the best home fries in Peterborough. The clubhouse sandwich is great, too. Comfortable, family atmosphere, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. This has been our go-to spot for breakfast for over 15 years, eat-in and take-out. I highly recommend.

Always great food and friendly service. If youre looking for a good place for breakfast or lunch, give this place a try. I have been at least 15 times and not once been disappointed with my meal. Portions are always large as well.

This is why google reviews are so awesome!!! Saw that this would be a good place to have breakfast. Never been before. It was great!! The Owners were very pleasent. Breakfast came very quick. Coffee kept flowing. Small town charm and keeps the diner dream alive!!
Jim the owner and Nick the cook are a great team and fantastic food. Ask Nick to give you his homemade medallion home fries best in the city.

we had heard that this diner had good breakfasts and our friends were correct. Been back a few times since and have never been disappointed. We now make it a point to stop by on the way to the cottage.
