Love this place.

While the soup was good. Beer bread tasted like it was a day old which was disappointing. The service was ok and the cleanliness in this place needs serious help!!!!. I m surprised food health and safety haven t checked in. All floors were dirty. Open kitchen nasty. Bathroom was disgusting and safety clearly not a concern as there was an empty box on the floor hallway towards bathroom area that staff didn t feel it was necessary to take out back for recycling. There were 4 of us and we will not be returning as we all questioned how sanitary any of the pots would be that the soup got cooked in!

Every employee in the area eats here. Home cooking with a splash of gourmet. Honestly I can never choose just one . Wheelchair accessibility: The shop, tables inside and the riverside patio are all accessible

I have tried over 30 different soups at this place. Not once have I ever thought meh . It does not seem to matter how bizarre the explanation of soup type it is , if anything those ones are many times the best choice. Paired up with their fresh Beer Buns pfffft! This place is maybe one of Peterboroughs most underated best take out lunch stops!

A good meal isn t always easy to find. A memorable meal with flavours and textures that are so good that they can elevate your mood are rare and happen only rarely. Soupçon created one of those meals, the spicy peanut chicken soup. This soup was so good, I just felt such happiness while eating it and had such a pang of disappointment when I reached the last spoonful, wishing that there was more and if there was more that I could have room left for it. I will definitely be back for more happy soup.

Amazing and the beer bread is the best I ve ever had

Ross and Vanessa cant make a bad or even mediocre soup to save their life! Things I would think I would never like as a soup, they make it amazing! Youll never be disappointed by the soup, only disappointed you didnt get there fast enough before it was gone! And the beer bread is heaven, literally. This place deserves a Michelin star!

Best soup and bread Ive ever had. Tried the soups with coconut chicken, and tomato with tortellini and the beer bread and all exceeded my expectations. Well seasoned and great staff. Will def go back. Only suggestion to get bigger water glasses lol.

This place is amazing! I believe it was (one of) the owners that serves us. She was super friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Such a great mom and pop place. The soup is absolutely fantastic. My wife and I split 3 mediums between us just to try as many as we could. Everything was so fresh and packed full of flavour. Would recommend this place to everyone. Eat here!

Stopped by during a road trip after reading the reviews, and we were not disappointed! Three of us tried three different soups, and they were all delicious, and the beer bread was also sooo good. If I lived in the area, Id be eating here every day, as it appears many locals do. Vegetarian options: Two vegan options on the menu today, and I assume every day.

Never know when this place is open or closed. It seems like they just do as they wish. Nothing is ever updated or modified to display the right hours or the menu. Disappointing how down hill the ethic of this place seems to have gone over the years.

Soupcon is my favourite place in Peterborough. No one makes soup like them. If I let the office know that I am going to pick up Soupcon for lunch, I have to write a list of orders and employ help to carry it in... No one wants to miss out on Soupcon.

I absolutely love soupçon! The ladies who run it are both so sweet and so kind! The soup is always amazeballs! And the beer bread! To die for! If you ever in the Peterborough area! This place has got to be on you itinerary of places to eat!

There are many restaurants that are good, some that are great, and a very, very select few that are extraordinary. If Michelin ever made their way over, I have no doubt Soupçon would get a affordable eats distinction in their guide. Try anything they have and you ll immediately know what I m rambling about. The beer bread is an absolute must. The meaning of joy can be found here, for 20 mins, in a bowl of Soupçon.

This used to be a favourite for many years when we lived in Peterborough. During a recent visit we called and and wow. Still the same amazing food made with love.

Well frist visit to this amazing place and i will be back 100% best soup in peterborough and beer bread was amazing.

Excellent food. Wow. I m always so impressed with the variety of soups and their delicious home baked breads. I wish they could stay open just an hour longer so that I could make it after work. When I am able to sneak out for lunch, this is where I go. Come here for the food, not the ambience - however I do find it very cozy inside when there is not a line up out the door. Their back patio is beautiful in a quaint, rustic way and I love sitting here when the weather permits.

We ordered from here for the first time this afternoon, absolutely loved the food and the staff was very kind and helpful. The soups were amazing, not only the best in Peterborough but the best soups I think weve ever tasted this is a must try! I haven t been to Soups On in quite a while. I went today to treat myself and discovered that they gave me the wrong soup and the beer bread was overcooked. The beer bread was also so tiny from what I remember it being. Today was a disappointing experience

So much fun! The line-up is worth it for their soups. I felt like I was in an episode of Seinfeld.

If you want great homemade, all natural ingredients good old fashioned yummy soup - well then this is the place to stop for soup. They also make homemade fresh baguette bread and beer bread - every morning. Everything is made FRESH every day. ENJOY ! For the soup lover! Everyday brings you 6 or 7 different soups to choose from. There is both broth based and cream based selections. Some are spicy and others just very tasty. There is also some awesome sandwiches to compliment any soup.

This is truly like the no soup for you location on Seinfeld. No seriously this is a great place to go if you love homemade soup. There isnt much else besides soup. You can get beer bread with your soup but its pretty much just delicious soup.

We are from away but if we hit the big city we have lunch at Soupçon. Yesterday my Mom who is 95 years young had the yummy Sweet Potato Soup with Curry . Well today she was very mobile and had less ache. We did a google search and found out about sweet potato and curry benefits. This soup spot is our secret

I was in Peterborough for the day and stopped in for a bowl of soup. The restaurant is quite small but even with the constant traffic of locals for take out or sit down dining, we were able to carry out a conversation. The food was amazing. The service was great. I had the sausage and ham soup and OMG it was SO good!!! As was the freshly baked bread and butter. Just perfect for a cold winter day. I wish they were in Mississauga so I could try all their soups - over 50 I was told. I highly recommend Soupcon and the next time Im in Peterborough, Im coming back!

So cheap, so tasty! I have never been a soup guy but Soupcon has changed that forever. If you have someone who can make soup as good or better than these guys, you have better hold on to that person and never let them leave your life. However I think its impossible, for someone to make better soup than these guys. The only downside is their location is small and rather dingey but is still rather comfy. So you can always get take out. And if once you do not succeed with your choice try, try again you will not be sorry. Oh and the beer bread is to die for.

Yup, add my 5 stars to the pile. Great place for a reasonably priced, filling, delicious lunch. Often stop in after their lunch rush and pick up some excellent soup to enjoy later for dinner. Careful though, they close early.

My husband and I have lived in Ottawa and Toronto. We ve been trying to find something even remotely similar to Soupçon and we had no luck. We come here every time we are in Peterborough. No canned nonsense here. And their beer bread is so so good! It makes me so happy to see their business thriving!

Small tiny spot where I wasnt sure what I was getting into when I walked in. The windows had so much condensation we couldnt see outside and my glasses fogged the second we walked in - being a newbie I didnt know to grab a table and someone would help us but they were quick to show us the way! The friendly staff made great recommendations and the bread is AMAZING. Ill be going back for sure!

A must try place

I plan many Peterborough trips around having lunch at Soupcon. It is not only my favourite place to eat in Peterborough but one of my favourites anywhere. And I have visited six continents! Soup! Soup! Soup! All of it delicious! And where will I be tomorrow on my trip to a print shop in Peterborough? Soupcon if I can persuade my friend Ron to dine there. (We live in Fenelon Falls, 50 miles away.) I have even taken it home to my wife to be warmed up in the microwave! Fabulous!!!!
