Serving Belgian beer and cuisine in downtown Peterborough. Old world charm in a circa 1890's bank building. Friendly service and quality food.
This was my first time eating here and it was for a holiday work lunch. There were approximately 20 people. Pros: food was preordered and was delivered promptly, table set up and service was nice and the overall atmosphere of the place was also good. The majority of folks liked their meals and beverages. Cons: I was in the minority but I didn't like my menu choice which was the duck confit poutine, and small Caesar salad. My issue was the duck poutine was lukewarm at best and the fries were cold and hard. The gravy wasn't piping hot and the cheese curds didn't melt; overall looked congealed. The duck was bland, the fries needed salt and I found a tiny bone in the shredded duck which put me off my meal. The salad had good flavour but it wasn't well dressed. Some of the kale had clumps of thick dressing and other pieces had none. Because the dressing was so thick it wasn't easy to mix or toss the salad yourself in the small bowl they gave you. I don't think my meal is indicative of what this place can do because everyone else enjoyed their food but I might have been a casualty of the mass ordering and the kitchen trying to prep ahead. Service: the service was okay, the server was present but very abrupt not really looking to answer questions or provide information plus and seemed very eager to cash out the party given plates were removed immediately and checks provided as if they had experience with dine and dashers. Would I go back again, so in my review I gave them 4 stars just due to the fact these issues were probably due to the large party. I was tempted to give a 3 because I've been to restaurants before with delicious hot food, and great service with parties of 20 or more without issues. I probably won't go back again unless it is booked for another work function. Quality check of food and being friendly in addition to efficient I think are things that are easily remedied.
Stopped in for a quick lunch as I was in Peterborough for work. Great service, friendly, attentive and the food was very enjoyable. Price of luncheon was plesantly surprising. Highly recommended.
This place never disappoints! Great atmosphere and the menu and specials are amazing! Also an impressive NA beer selection.
This was our second visit to St. Veronus while visiting downtown Peterborough. It was recommended to us by our hotel and we are glad it was. The beer selection here brings back Belgian memories with their extensive variety of Trappist Ales. We also tried the Fruli belgian beer which is perfect for any strawberry lovers. Each time we had their dinner it was always perfectly cooked. Their steak is topped with two thick slices of butter to bring out the flavours and the flavours of the field tomatoes and basil puree with the duck breast dinner special were well-balanced. Their fries are also always served with mayonnaise for an authentic Belgian experience.
We went here for a 5-person family lunch on a Thursday afternoon. If I'm honest, I went for the opportunity to have some quality beer on tap. Much to my delight, the food and service were top notch, too! The prices were higher than average, and I was a little uncertain as to whether my family would approve. After the first few mouthfuls of food, I knew I wouldn't need to worry. There were some vegetarian options which were creative too! Not the usual generic takes on a roasted vegetable medley. The steak was appropriately higher priced, and my mother was so impressed with the rest of the food, she ordered one for the table to share. The crust and color on the steak were fantastic. I don't often order dessert when I go out, but I was so impressed by the rest of the meal that I wanted to give it a go. The banoffee tart did not disappoint! The service was cheerful, prompt, knowledgeable, and helpful. I even liked the music. The beer was delicious too! My only complaint is that I don't live closer!
Stopped in for dinner at the Tap House. Had been recommended by others to checkout. Overall the atmosphere is good with a definite pub, laid back feel. Lots of interesting beer choices to choose from. Food was decent with one suggestion. The mussels were served in a large pot and at the beginning it was difficult to get to the broth hiding at the bottom.
St Veronus is one of my go-to lunch spot! The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, staff is always friendly and informative! Service is quick and the food is delicious! Great for a quick meeting or a lingering gathering, just let your server know and they will make it seamless! Love this Peterborough staple!
Stopped for lunch here! Menu had great options, which made it hard to choose, but even better, it was all delicious! Each plate was nearly scraped clean when done enjoying. 😋 Drinks were good as well as service. Desserrs were also yummy Will return when in Peterborough.
Service was great, cozy spot up at the bar. Food and drinks were tasty. Fries and pretzels are a must!
Very cool spot and vibe, beer selection out of this world.
Parking: Parking on Water St is the most effective. You can also park on Hunter across from the ScotiaBank. Food
What a truly special place, the atmosphere will transport you as soon as you walk in the door and the phenomenal food and drinks will make this your new favorite. It was so great I didnt even think to take any photos. The brussel sprouts are a must as well as the muscles. Vegetarian options: Brussel sprouts are amazing Dietary restrictions: They were very accommodating to a celiac diet.
Good food Great service Cool vibe! Food : 4/5
Cool, kinda dark, old timey feel. Mussels were delicious and you can tell it s one of those places that makes all of the food from scratch. They make their own sauces and it was all really good! Food : 5/5
Had reservations at this amazing resturant for 5:30! This was my first time eating here and all i can say was is that i was blown away by the quality of the food absolutely delicious and fesh i had the fish and chips and also the beef croquettes! Also if you want to try homemade ketchup please theirs it was so good. Overal wonderful people and fresh food it was a perfect way to spend my 31st birthday
We had a small wedding dinner at st Veronas (8 people) and it was perfection. The service was on point and friendly and the food absolutely amazing as always. We left full, happy and relaxed. Always our go to spot for any special occasion and we are so happy we decided to go there for our wedding dinner Wheelchair accessibility: Our one party member had a walker and they were very accommodating to have space for her and keeping our table in the lower dining room.
Seriously good food. A little expensive, but the value is spot on. Highly recommend.
Favourite place in town year after year hands down.
Great food, expensive but those portions are legitimately big and filling. The waitress didnt seem to want to be there but everyone has their days. Probably go again one day
Last night I had the Roasted Duck Liégeoise. It was so delicious and the different flavours of the salad went perfectly with the duck breast. New craving has been born. If you like Duck try this dish.
Great beer menu, good Belgian food. Nice ambiance.
I had the brisket special, it was excellent. We will be back. Also, get the stoemp its so.much better than fries!
We ordered Chimay beer on draft. We love this beer and drink it all the time. The waitress brought it out as we were sitting on their meagre parking lot patio. It didnt look right but I didnt say anything. When we tasted it we knew immediately that it wasnt Chimay. It tasted like a weak fruilli. My husband took it back to the bar and asked if it was possible the wrong keg was tapped. The waitress was rude and said it was Chimay. She didnt offer for a taste from the keg or to bring a different beer. We have never had service like this and are usually the nicest clients to serve. We never complain. As it was not Chimay we brought both our glasses out to the bar and paid our tab without hardly drinking a drop. It wasnt a bad beer just not a Chimay and not to our liking. They never talked to us just passed the bill without any comment. Terrible customer service.
Not a pleasant experience, my food was horribly over cooked. Couldn t even eat my fries they were so over cooked. Fish was way over cooked. $185 for a two person dinner!?!? For these prices it would be nice to sit and not sweat the whole meal due to no a/c. Being stuck in a corner where the fans don t reach. Overall disappointment.
5/5 as always.
Great atmosphere, wonderful food and specials, and top-notch service makes St.V s a frequent destination for us.
Great beer selection didnt eat there this time
My favourite restaurant in the world. Always absolutely fantastic!
The service at this restaurant left much to be desired. Its unclear whether our waitress was having an off night or if her lack of attentiveness is the norm. My initial request for a non-spicy Caesar salad was met with confusion, ultimately leading to a suggestion for a Bloody Mary instead. Despite reiterating my preference for a non-spicy option, the drink arrived with added spice and without a straw. Moving on to the main course, I ordered the steak frites, specifying my aversion to blue cheese (butter compound). Unfortunately, despite repeating this request multiple times, the steak arrived smothered in blue cheese. The waitress also assumed medium was my preferred cooking temperature without actually confirming it. Additionally, the seating arrangement placed us next to the loudest group in the bar, making conversation difficult. Overall, the experience was disappointing. The service was cold and inattentive, and despite multiple requests, meal preferences were not accommodated.
Great place, food, and drinks were amazing. Lots of beer options to choose from. Staff were great as well.
Delicious halibut fish and chips Staff was very friendly and beautiful artwork on walls from local artists
The food was incredible and the service was friendly, timely, and occasionally hilarious! Vegetarian options: I had the vegetarian special and it was to die for!!
It is a great alternative. You can explore wonderful beers and a European take Canadian pub fare.
Exceptional food and a great spot. Highly recommended.
We love to pop out to this high quality, cozy, and delicious restaurant, often on a weeknight for European comfort food and a bevvie after a long work day. Staff is friendly, welcoming and professional. We love the Fried Brussels sprouts topped with red pepper pesto, pepitas and cheese.. its truly addictive. Also the unique specials or the fish and chips which I think is the best in town!
Great Food!
10/10, I loved every beer I tried in my flight. One was so fruity it was like drinking a cobbler! If this is how they do in Belgium, I am 1000% going to travel there one day. Ive never been to Belgium.
Best restaurant in Peterborough. Been going here for almost 2 decades and this place never disappoints.
Wonderful old bank renoed into a fine restaurant . Very pricey, though.
One of our favorite places. We love sitting at the bar and experimenting with different Belgian brews. The food is excellent.
Always a stellar experience!
amazing food, great staff, recommend the steak frites
Another wonderful meal! Absolutely delicious and huge portions! Drinks were great too! Vegetarian options: The falafel burger and strudel dish are fantastic!
We had our sons wedding here. A fantastic venue!!
Best place to have different dranks good food and cafe
Good place in Peterborough to go for dinner
Fish n chips looked good in photos but turned out meh on being ordered. Sampled the turkey burger ordered by others, another meh.
Nice place to eat
Delicious food!! And not too pricey either! A must try for anyone
Wouldn t give it a one star but was forced to. No reservation required well, I drove from out of town and showed up to find 4 people in the restaurant 2 in the bar and I was asked if we had reservations. We didn t and we were told they were fully booked so we left disappointed. Drove by on the way out of town and well, I saw 6 people this time seated. Seems like other people have experienced this there. Won t be back. Too busy there! No Covid excuse this time! There was no table flow to monitor no one was there! Don t need your email won t risk coming from out of town again. Life is a circle That goes round and round Mines not a circus I am not your clown
Great food, amazing beer selection.
The best food and atmosphere
Amazing soup and the Croque Monsieur is to die for! Perfect ale pairing and some cheesecake for dessert!
Excellent atmosphere and food. A tad chilly sitting near the windows today however it -18°C right now. Lunch out with daughter and friend. Food presents well and taste great. Vegetarian options: Good selection of vegetarian options that fir into the menu and atmosphere.
Have been to St Verona s a few times pre COVID. Visited yesterday and although still quaint, the food selection in menu has diminished. The selection of beer is still the same, great. We had the fish and chips as well as burger which was good. Worth the visit.
Havent been here for years. (Covid related) It was as I remembered, not a lot had changed. Prices have increased. Its still a quaint and unique place to go. Food
Water and menus given as we sat down. Incredible Belgian beer. Mussels are a must when you go here. Service is attentive, food is perfect
Amazing food grear beers and super service. This is a gem of a restaurant. Had the mussels and corn beef. Too bad I dont livd in Peterborough or I would be back!
Love this place. Great, heartwarming food, and a decent beer list. Cozy, intimate atmosphere.
Amazing food with moderate prices for quality and amazing preparation of the food. Great knowledgeable and friendly staff made for one of the best dinning experiences I ve had in a long time!
Grear pub . European beer, snizel amd burger is amazing , super suggest for have same beer and hanging with same german food . Not super expensive . 4 star .
The best poutine and mussels I have ever had. I am going back for sure and I live in Ottawa.
Best steak and frites in town. Also a specialty beer selection not to be found anywhere near or far. We love the lambic beers.
Always a great place to visit. Food and beer here is superb.
What a great experience at this gem of a place! Service was impeccable - very knowledgeable. You cant get product or beers like this anywhere. I love this place.
Food was a best disappointing. Never before has a party of 4 out for night been told to hurry up because the table had another reservation pending. At least inform us when the reservation was made that time restrictions apply. Poor customer service for sure. We were willing to spend more time and money at the establishment but never again. Future customers beware and manage your own disappointment.
Great food, exemplary service, decent prices!
Best beer selection in town and awesome seafood dishes.
I had the haddock in cream sauce... absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!
Beer and burger for lunch. Great atmosphere and service.
Great location and the only game on town on a Monday night.
The Duck Confit was so delicious! A must try while they still have it on the special plates menu! To me, just the best duck plate I ever had! A great pairing for a strong dark beer - and they have many options of those to choose from! The plate comes with fried brussel sprouts there are out of this world, so good!
One of my favorite restaurant. Simple as that.
Had a wonderful dinner and tried one their beers. Im not a beer drinker but enjoyed it. Dinner was fabulous and the chocolate tart was amazing. Very cool atmosphere too.
Havent been here since before the pandemic, but the place has maintained their excellent food, and unparalled selection of Belgian beer. Would have recommended this place before COVID and definitely would recommend it today.
Wonderful selection of Bavarian style beers. The fish sandwich I had was incredible! Definitely a must visit while in Peterborough!
Excellent schnitzel and fries, enjoyed the Belgian beer selection and atmosphere. Went on a Friday and got the last open table at 5:20
Totally amazing spot. Loved the food and service. I have eaten here twice now and am blown away by their food. One of Peterboroughs hidden gems. One thing....the dips, mind blowing! Vegetarian options: Delicious strudel full of a variety of veggies Dietary restrictions: Vegan options available
Amazing service and staff and food We haven t been since pre Covid Really missed the beef stew poutine, hope it returns, but everyone at the table was happy and well fed Thanks again for having our little family tonight
Great place for dinning and drinks...
Love it here. Always come back, its my husband and my official lunch date spot.
My Favourite Restaurant in Peterborough Now. I absolutely loved the P.E.I. Mussels & Belgian Frites I had today. Really nice & relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. Also, their menu is very condensed to only their best quality food with great ingredients & specials. Thats how you know that youre selecting quality food. I love this place - St. Veronus Café.
Let me preface this review by saying Im from Belgium so I had high expectations for the place and they were met. First lets talk about the choice of beer, I never saw so many different imported Belgian beers in one place before. You have such a plethora of choice going from Chimay to Rochefort, from Trappist to Abbaye beers. Just amazing. I also had the pleasure of a nice tour and conversation with Roland, the owner. You feel the love he has for Belgium and the amount of research hes done for building a true Belgian tavern. Because yes, this looks and feels like any great bar in Brussels, the seating, the wood panel, the glasses and of course the bar nook. Such attention to details, its just amazing. And lastly, the food, the mussels sent me back to Belgium, perfect size, perfectly cooked and so tasty. Thank you again for making a part of Peterborough Belgian
So this is based on the beer selection, and the service. I have been missing two ales since I left Asia, Straffe and Maredous - both are available here. That is so wonderful and welcome to a lover of Belgian Ale. The service was excellent, the place was clean and chill. Love it.
Our favorite restaurant in Peterborough. The food and beers are always top notch! Highly recommended
Best fries ever along with the in-house ketchup and curry mayo and I should mention that the only lager on the menu is German. The service was both polite and attentive. The soundtrack on the day we were there was 80s synth pop which is a pleasant background. Food
One of Peterborough s most treasured spots for great food, excellent service, and Belgian beers.
One of my go to places when visiting Peterborough. Great traditional Belgian cuisine...
Amazing establishment! Love the staff & the schnitzel. Many beer choices & excellent Scotch list ! A+++ Returned again 3 months later. David was awesome as always ! Dietary restrictions: They respected my dietary restrictions
Great food and beverage combinations with friendly service
Great service and good food. My wife had the salmon belly which was delicious and I had the fish and chips. I thought perhaps there was a little too much batter but it was still tasty. We also liked the old pub feel from all the wood, all in all, very good.
Best fries in Peterborough Service great but food a tad slow coming out Food
This is a GEM! My husband I visited as a backup option for our anniversary dinner because our first choice was closed! Thank goodness it was closed and we had the good sense to walk into this cute little pub! Doesnt look like much from the outside or even from the interior but there is a hidden oasis, out back that cultivates old world charm and elegance with down home comfortability. The Beer menu- out of this world! I had never even heard of 98% of them and there must be about 50 Belgian beers to choose from! We had a young waiter who was extremely charismatic and helpful! The food- UNBELIEVABLE!! Great choices but we both chose the 12 oZ steak which was about 2 thick and the most delicious cut of meat! Mine was served with fries, a homemade house ketchup that was 5 stars in itself; a house salad with fresh vegetables grated overtop and the presentation was top tier restaurant quality! ALL FOR $35!! Dessert was the sticky toffee pudding which was a massive portion of melt in your mouth cake, fresh whipped cream and so much freshly boiled caramel. WOW! I wish I lived in Peterborough just for this place.
Favorite place in Peterborough. Piping hot, delicious food. So many wonderful beers on tap. Love it!!! Food
Always a great experience here. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable, the food always abundant and out of this world. Feels like home always.
Great food as usual. We have been coming to St Veronus for years and always loved their food and beer selection. However, it is a shame that we had such a poor experience tonight with our waitress- she is middle age with blonde hair. She was rude and kept correcting us. We ordered food and right after decided to order appetizer when she said you should have ordered this first now I cannot guarantee you will get appetizers first also when we ordered their potatoes side dish called stomp she kept correcting our pronunciation in a rude manner. We took my aunt there who has severe allergies to sesame so right after ordering the food we mentioned about her severe sesame allergies which then followed by her saying it s nice to give a heads up before hand when we literally had placed our order a min ago. Overall, she was not friendly at all and after paying the bill she slapped the receipt on the table and walk away without saying a word which was a bad look when I had said so many good things about this place. Would love to come back and enjoy the great food again but will probably go elsewhere unless there is a different waitress working there.
Booked in advance which turned out to be unnecessary. Ordered burger. It was super salty. Beer was good. 2 in the party Ordered steak. It was a mistake. Lessons learned: do not order steak in a pub. Fish & Chips was average. Service was good. Food
Amazing food!
First visit here and will definitely return. We enjoyed their calamari and Lambic cheery beers. Modules Frites and Fish & chips were both generous and delicious. Service was attentive.
Amazing food. Lovely service. Comfortable atmosphere.
Save a rude encounter with our server immediately after being sat, our experience at St. Veronus exceeded the hype and high expectations. The patio is lovely, food (mussels and veggie strudel) was incredible, and the beer selection is enough to make any recreational drinker blush. This is now my #1 recommendation for dinner out in Peterborough!
I love eating here. Its a dining experience. The service is tremendous, and the cuisine is higher end. I recommend the mussels. Sooooo good.
Welcoming and very professional staff working closely with customers, varied menus and good taste preferences.
Just breath taking!
Great beer, awesome service, tasty food!
Absolutely delicious! Vegetarian options: Fantastic flavour combos! Food : 5/5 |
Lovely place for Belgian food
Best dinning experience weve had in years. Thank you for the great evening! Kid-friendliness: They make a really good grilled cheese Food : 5/5 |
Fantastic and friendly service during our first ever visit. Tried a few of the apps, amazing fries and the Brussel sprouts were the best ever!!
Weve been coming here for years, and theyve never disappointed us. Amazing people, fabulous food, and delicious beer. Highly recommend.
Amazing food, fantastic beer selection and very nice setting and service.
Great food, great service. The vegetable strudel is phenomenal.
Enjoyable Belgian inspired restaurant. They have stoemp! Good selection of Belgian beers.
We had dinner here today with 2 other couples. The food and service were incredible. Although there are limited selections for people who choose not to eat red meat. Would highly recommend when in Peterborough.
Super fun place in the heart of Peterborough with a killer list of Belgian beers and delicious moules et frites. Can t wait to go back!
Absolutely wonderful meal with exceptional service. Great vegan and veggie options.
Great Menu, both beverage and meal. Love the Fried Brussels. I will order this every time. Food
Sat on the patio, and they took us early even though our reservation was for later. The server was awesome, had menus water and drinks within minutes. Food was quick and oh so delicious. Price was on point and one of the best restaurants in the city. Will be back for sure!
Wish I could do a no stars review. So disappointed of the service ( or lack of ) we just walk away. Owner if you want to know why please contact me Update. I won t email you. I don t think should be on me to contact you by email I Believe you should contact me
Awesome service, great food, and of course the best beer!
The food and people are always amazing!
Huge list of beers and the lemon cream mussels were amazing that i was drinking the broth! Friendly service and will be back
Loved the fries. So many flavors so crunchy. So delicious. They also have a spin of a fish burger. You pay good coin for it, but its quite the fish burger
Love the food, and beers. The staff is wonderful and always so knowledgeable on the drinks. Everytime we go there to eat it is always an enjoy time with a relaxing atmosphere .
Good food, good service and great atmosphere.
Atmosphere, service, food and bevy that is refined yet cozy, St. Veronus stuck the landing. If this restaurant was a clothing line it would be the timeless Calvin Klein or Coco Chanel that not only makes you look good, it s also extremely wearable. Sean was our knowledgeable service with impeccable timing and superb suggestions. Try the De Koninck Mussels paired with a beer by the same name. My new favourite spot.
Great food and service. Highly recommend if youre a fan of beers, especially those not traditionally found in Canada. The food was excellent, just unique enough without being something that would turn away someone unfamiliar with belgian flavours. Dessert is a must!
Friendly staff, Great beer collection and a very nice aroma
Best restaurant food ever served in pub. Halibut was so delicious, fish and chips were great. Great atmosphere, service is excellent. Will definitely be a returning customer whenever visiting Peterborough again
The service was great. The lamb was dissapointing. I found the dish looked amazing but the meat was dry. It cost $30.00 and I expected it to be much better quality for this price range.
Absolutely delicious and the Waiter service was fantastic
Stopped in August 4 with my son living in Peterborough first time there. The time spent was nothing but good just amazing food with so much flavour and service was excellent. Thank You was best and will be back . From Sudbury
Wonderful place for a dinner, and beer. Good vegetarian options too. Favourite date location in peterborough.
The best fish n chips ever!
Fantastic fish and chips. Great service and friendly staff.
Amazing! Im not sure if we learned that we love Belgun food or just this restaurant! Lovely appetizers, delightful mains and if wed had room dessert looked lovely. Our wonderful serverade the night pleasant too!
The best food we ve had in Peterborough! For $20-$25 - the entries were truly spectacular for the price!
I couldn t believe how good my duck confit was here. The fries were also something special. You wouldn t think French fries could be so noteworthy but they are. We ll be visiting many times again. There s a good whisky selection too.
Very knowledgeable about their beer, good aesthetic and the food tasted great. Would go to Peterborough just for this place.
Amazing, food , service and drinks....omg the drinks...I became a beer person tonight!!!
Club House sandwich was full of good stuff but they burnt the bread. Coca-Cola tasted like it came with drain cleaner.
Real Belgian experience with greet food and an impressive selection of Belgian beers ! Food is well prepared .. nicely presented ! All Belgian must try beers are available at decent prices !
Beer menu is massive, fantastic beer on tap or in bottles. The staff ia friendly and helpful and the food is out of this world. Try the stoemp!
Great ambience and food!
Very knowledgeable staff, always a massive selection and amazing food. Been a favourite for years and a must try if in the area.
Huge selection of beers and great food.
Awesome pub. I felt like I was back in Brugge. Moules and Frites were to die for. Belgian beers were fantastic. I will go back when in the area.
Great dinner!!
First visit to this restaurant and I look forward to going back!! As someone with a moderate knowledge of beer, I was blown away by the size and quality of their list. I was happy with the vegetarian options - I got the vegetable strudel (great mix of tart and sweet roasted vegetables)with the stoemp (a titch dry but AMAZING flavour! ) and salad. I enjoyed everything very much, but personally would have liked a bit of sauce with the strudel and/or stoemp. My friend had the salmon Wellington with the frites and she says it was excellent also. Service was lovely and I like the ambiance of the old bank. Thank you! Vegetarian options: Few, but excellent vegetarian options.
Great food and a huge selection of unique beers. The service was really good. I will definitely be going back here.
Awesome food, unique brews!
Absolutely amazing experience!
Amazing beer selection and menu. The charcuterie board was great!
Had a few beers, great service.
It was very busy so the service was slow and not very attentive. Food was ok. Atmosphere was hopping!
Always great choices of Craft Brews, and the food is always amazing with various specials daily. Atmosphere would be a five star if the lower section had a refresh.
Just had the most incredible meal. The pork tenderloin special was soooo good!! Beyond impressed! Great service too! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian sandwich special Salads Wheelchair accessibility: I m pretty sure there would be no issues in side room for a wheel chair. Washroom is in same area as well.
Unique dishes with daily specials. Feels like a very authentic experience with the drink menu, food menu and atmosphere all in sync. Drinks (served in specific glasses with specific coaster) were great, food was delicious, server was prompt, upbeat and helpful. Love having access to this lovely spot in downtown Peterborough!
I just had a really great experience here today. At the beginning of Covid I experienced a really traumatizing personal experience which, long story short led me to breaking my favourite Duvall glass; which I ended up picking up here like four years ago in some giveaway where if you buy two Pints, you would get a glass for free. It became my favourite glass in the entire world. And when it was broken, it actually broke my heart. I know. It s a glass. But it was my favourite glass. I went in today and spoke to Race. Great server. Super knowledgeable. I was genuinely impressed that he knew what a Marzen lager was, so I knew I was with my kind of people. I told him about my glass and he disappeared in the back for a minute and came out with a new glass for me. I m telling you it took everything inside of me to hold back the tears. Because like, who wants to do that to a stranger, and it was busy so omg, embarrassing. Anyway I choked back the tears and profusely thanked the bartender (trying to be cool about it) but, I wanted to write this review because that was so meaningful to me. I m actually crying as I wrote this review. This glass is so important to me. Thank you a thousand times. Thank you to your gracious staff. That was really so special to me. Thank you.
Great place for beer and food. Lots of options for everyone.
Excellent service Excellent food, I ordered mussels of the day and fries, absolutely delicious and fresh.
date night essential
Move over craft beer, we got a monster list of classic Belgian beers! Food is delicious, atmosphere has an old school euro pub feel. Ill be back for sure.
Great restaurant. Food was great and the atmosphere was relaxing. Definitely recommend this place and will be back again.
A very nice place. Beautiful older furnishings. It was once a bank. Food was delicious and we had a very good server who was friendly and helpful
Always amazing food and quality! Havent been for a while and stopped in for lunch and as always, did not disappoint.
Everything on the plate was exceptional! From salad to main amazing flavour and quality. Prompt and polite service.
Always a pleasure and food is excellent!
I had the pleasure of attending St Veronus Cafe and Tap Room s Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting. The Tap Room was comfortable and clean; Staff were friendly and considerate. The Tasting consisted of a 12yr Glenkinchie, a 12yr Balvenie, a 12yr Highland Park and finished with a 10yr Laphroaig. The Tasting was lead by David Trennum who provided an excellent presentation. The Staff was very responsible warning guests in an early E-mail regarding the consumption of high octane Spirits and driving and re-enforcing this prior to the Tasting. Excellent start to the evening. Next time I ll make dinner reservations there for after the event! Excellent event! I look forward to the next one!
The selection of premium beers is good. Nice little place to have a meal.
