Berc's Steakhouse in Peterborough

Full disclosure: we had originally attempted to get a reservation at the Keg but they were booked. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise as Berc s was far and away the superior experience. Waitstaff was very friendly and helpful, the ambiance is classic fine dining aesthetic and the meal value is very high for the price. As a celiac I was pleasantly surprised by the addition of crackers in place of bread prior to the main course; my typical experience is watching my wife eat bread by herself so this was a nice touch. We had our 7 year old with us and were grateful for catering to his taste with some plain butter pasta that he raved about. All adults agreed that our meals were excellent too and overall the consensus was Berc s provided a 5 star experience. Thank you to the staff and owners for a memorable 40th birthday dinner.

We celebrated our parents 40th wedding anniversary here. We could not have hosted this event at a more amazing restaurant. Mark, our server, was one of the best servers I have ever had. He went out of his way to take care of our huge group. Not to mention how great he was with our kids that attended. I highly recommend Bercs to everyone. Their staff, venue and food are the best around Peterborough. Thank you so much Bercs. We will definitely be returning guests.

Have always bought my brother and his wife gift cards for this restaurant for Christmas and have always wanted to eat here. Brought my aunt for lunch and really enjoyed. Know now why my brother likes to come here. Food was so good and service was excellent.

Great food and service highly recommend the cedar smoked ribeye

This visit was our first time at Berc s and our experience was excellent. The food was excellent and very reasonable for a steakhouse. All the staff were very friendly and pleasant. The perfect place to celebrate our anniversary.

Went for supper. Probably earlier. Had a hard day at work. Husband ordered double Crown Royal with ice and water on the side and I ordered a dirty gin martini with ice on the side and olives. Now, we know our liquor (lol), know what a jigger and a shot glass are. Did not get a full 2 ounces and my martini was very weak. Husband ordered another Crown Royal (Double) and again (and we will bet on it) not even an ounce. Not happy with my gin martini I ordered a 6oz glass of white wine. Again. Certainly wasnt 6 oz. - more like 3. WE did get charged full price for half the liquor. We were going to ask our server to prove that the amounts were right but decided not to cause a scene. Customers, just be aware. It put a dent in the whole evening.

Food was fantastic, service was slow and ambiance was mediocre due to tasteless guests close by (not due to staff or management). Total score, 4.3 stars. Recommend to people who want a change from the Keg, as we did.

I came here for a friends wedding dinner and I loved everything about here. The staff and food were just phenomenal. I would love to come back here the next time Im in Peterborough.

Very disappointing dinner. The steak was not great; tasted strongly of vinegar, although it was well cooked. The baked potato was meh and the cake was dry and pretty bad. Cesar salad was good as were the cocktails, but my steak was inedible. Sad to say but the Keg kinda kicks this places ass.

Waited almost 1.5 hours for the food. Had it been 10 minutes more, we were going to leave, and get burgers instead. One of our group could not eat her steak, as it was not cooked as requested.

Ordered a 52.00 rib eye and couldn t cut through it. Full of grissel. You only get grissel from very cheap cuts of beef. Gave them a second chance and it was the exact same thing. Now I m hearing from my friends and they would never go back. It won t be long and they will be out of business.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Tina our server was wonderful. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable in the menu. We will definitely be returning :)

In Peterborough on a mini vacation, Bercs served the best restaurant meal I have ever eaten! My husband and I went there for our 27th anniversary and we couldnt have made a better choice. We passed it on our way from the canoe museum and after checking the menu on line, called to make a reservation. We had the Tuesday couples special and enjoyed every course. The cheesy garlic bread was zesty, with no cheese on my portion to cut down on dairy, the wait staffs suggestion as I was avoiding dairy while ordering. My husband said the prime rib was melt in your mouth with excellent jus and perfect yorkshire pudding. My rare steak was rare! Perfect! Veggies were exceptionally tasty and still had chew to them, and included grilled asparagus, glazed whole carrots and fabulous mushrooms. My meal came with soup, the best potato leek soup Ive ever eaten. We also enjoyed garlic mashed potatoes and excellent rice pilaf. As it was our anniversary, they threw in a complimentary dessert, a moist, not too sweet chocolate cake! Wait staff (Mary, Kari) were thoughtful, friendly, helpful, and absolutely wonderful! For a special dinner, wed highly recommend Bercs. It is a little pricey but very high quality, providing extremely good value for the quality of the food. The next time we are in the area we will be sure to return to Bercs Steak House. After all, we joined their loyalty program even though we live 3 hours away! Dietary restrictions: They alerted the kitchen to avoid cross contamination due to a seafood allergy, and were helpful in assisting me while ordering to limit cow dairy.

Was very excited to have dinner here as I hadn t been to this restaurant for about a decade. They rave that they have won best steakhouse for 14 straight years. I am assuming this must be for Peterborough and seeing as there are only 4 or 5 take it with a grain of salt. The filet was very bland, lacking in taste and seasoning, average at best. Found it very odd that you received no bread with your meal which is a first for me in a steakhouse. They offered soup, but who wants soup on a hot summer day? Food in my opinion was not that of an award winning steakhouse. I found it average at best. Drinks were good, the staff were nice, the place had a nice e ambience but would probably venture elsewhere when in town next

Celebrated my mother in laws birthday there . The whole family was there.the atmosphere was outstanding. The food was amazing so delicious The appearance of the food was outstanding. The temperature was perfect. . The staff was very friendly and the server was amazing always checking on us . The restaurant was very clean and I must say the washrooms were very clean.

After having many meals here in the past, my wife and I were disappointed this time. We both ordered the same filet mignon but were surprised at the difference in the size of each cut. One was almost twice the size, and the taste of the larger was very bland. Our button mushrooms were flattened and limp and did not seem very fresh. I was also surprised that our entree came with soup, but to get a side salad was a 3.50 upgrade, and the bernaisse sauce was also an added charge! Also there is no bread or rolls offered as in most other steak houses. You have to order it separately. Considering the price of the entrees, this is quite surprising.

Our family of 4 went here for lunch after my graduation. Everything was 10/10 from our server shelly and our meals. Would recommend!

My wife and I had our 10 year wedding anniversary here and it was great. We brought our kids to celebrate with us (6yo and under 1) and staff were very accommodating and super sweet with our kids. They even had a kids menu! The food was great, the atmosphere was top notch and the service was some of the best Ive experienced from restaurants in the last few years.

We recently celebrated a family birthday dinner and had a fantastic evening. The staff were friendly and our server, Karen, was fantastic; she was helpful and answered our questions regarding the menu. Karen was attentive, yet not intrusive. Service was leisurely and we did not feel rushed. The ambiance was comforting; while busy, the dining room was not noisy and we were able to carry a conversation without having to speak loudly. The menu is well diversified and provides a wide selection of entrees. Our group enjoyed a wide variety of food options; pasta, seafood, steak and lamb, which were all thoroughly enjoyed. The food was well prepared, well presented, and cooked exactly as requested. The wine list provides a good selection of quality wines. It was a wonderful place to celebrate a special birthday with family.

Service was great we had David as our server he was very nice and professional, unfortunately the food was a little disappointing very long wait time almost 2 hours for food kitchen needs to work on timing also food was very bland not a lot of seasoning. Love the atmosphere of the place and could be very great, I hope management takes the time to improve on these things as it does seem to be the thing everyone complains about.

Had a reservations for four at 7 o clock. Not sure if they were just understaffed but Received drinks was a wait and to get our entree was even longer overall from sit down to check out was 2 hours and 15 minutes. We felt since we were just a party at four we were put in the back of the line for service to put tables with 6 to 8 as first priority. Steaks were great but not worth the wait nor price.130 with tip pp. We won t go back

First time experience... AMBIENCE...beautiful old 80s decor steakhouse.. lovely.. but could use some nice dinner music or even a piano player for the price of the meal. SERVICE... friendly enough waiter but he was never around. All waiters should know to check on you after 2 minutes when you drop a plate incase theres issues. We had issues with both our appetizer and mains and had to bother the other waiter who was always around.. even for a cocktail. Felt bad for making him do the extra work. FOOD... what fine dining experience doesnt start you with warm bread and butter (you even get that at East side marios ) was so excited to try the French onion soup .. Im a foodie and make it quite often at home so like to try places. It was NOT homeade beef broth and was like eating a deer lick.. was SO SALTY.. after 2 spoonfuls my palate was done and had to eat my husbands maraschino cherry from his cocktail to get my tastebuds back. Waiter said it was a one off?? Please. They exchanged it for Caesar salad. Dressing was wonderful...I prefer shaved parmesan at a high end restaurant over grated but it was good. The meat..outstanding..I had the lamb cooked to perfection and he had the ribeye...very tender but could have been a little thicker for $57 honestly!! PEPPERCORN SAUCE...omg the MOST DISGUSTING thing Ive ever seen. Not a creamy sauce with freshly cracked peppercorns smothering the steak like you would expect. It was a cold flavourless gelatinous gloup in a tiny side dish. I put a chunk.. yes a CHUNK on the edge of of a butter knife and asked th waiter to try it.... he didnt.. and took it off our bill. The double baked potatoes were hard and dry like they were from MnMs... not fluffy inside and toasted lovely under a salamander. Dessert... coffee cake to DIE FOR...I could eat that everyday. Took a bite of my partners and lucky I let him have it! I chose a Spanish coffee... bland.. no charred sugar rim ( the best part) .. waiter said bartender must have forgot?? COCKTAILS....whiskey sour was authentic and my partner enjoyed them very much. *** overall would not return Prefer wildfire in Oshawa... they still warm your brandy like a fine dining restaurant should and the owner comes to make sure everything is perfect. Definitely not worth $250

We were at this steak house for a company Christmas luncheon. The food was great. The service was very personable and efficient. And Jake Dudas was playing guitar for us all the mealtime! Perfect.

Service was great. My wifes steak was under cooked, but when our waitress noticed it was med/rare instead of med/well she was quick to make it right.and the bruschetta bread was amazing.. definitely recommend this place if your looking for good food and great service.

Wow! What an experience! This place is a testament to what a steakhouse should be. The wood surroundings, the smell of leather, and grilled meats have this place oozing with tasty delights. We went for New Years and were definitely not disappointed. The food was outstanding, and 5 courses were done to absolute perfection. The service was amazing. She was knowledgeable, polite, courteous, and extremely personable. I have been before and will definitely return. Keep doing a great job. Dietary restrictions: Super accommodating and knowledgeable about all restrictions.

We were part of a company Christmas get together and their were about 20 people there. The girls looking after us were wonderful and attentive. The food was fantastic and my husband and I will go there again. Ambience was lovely. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant!

We almost never go out for dinner because we are on a whole food plant based - oil free diet due to a medical condition. We went to Berc s for an office event and couldn t have been more impressed by their effort to accommodate our needs. They designed a full 4 course meal so that we could be included in the dinner, and it was fabulous. Thank you to the Berc s team, we can t wait to return! If you are looking for a regal experience and atmosphere, this is the place. The steaks are prepared to perfection, the accompaniments are scrumptious and the service is excellent. I had the pleasure of having the Cowboy steak. I can still taste it now, in fact, Im drooling while writing this!! CHEESY GARLIC CIABATTA BREAD - A MUST!! In addition, the mandarin almond salad with that house Greek vinaigrette YES PLEASE! If you want to feel special and rich (haha) this is the place to go. First date, anniversary or even a family gathering, you will find comfort and class, delectable and delicious, fine and fabulous at Bercs!

Its a nice place .. great staff. It comes down to some small things that, based on price, should be better. Bar: there a simple staple cocktails that any bartender should know. Old fashioned, Negroni, Manhattan... when I asked .. its not on the drink menu so we dont make it. Steak: asked for med rare .. one half med .. the other rare. At 45 dollars for the steak ... cook it right. Disappointed .. nice place and staff but rather drive to the Keg

I would give more stars if I could. We had a reservation for 4 people and when we got there our table wasn t ready yet so we had to wait - no big deal. But our waitress went above and beyond to ensure the rest of our experience was wonderful. The food was amazing, drinks were delicious and dessert was to die for. We will be back as soon as possible!

Have been to Bercs a few times (always excellent). The last time we were there 2 out of 4 at our table ordered the Ribeye. Both Ribeyes were very sinewy, tough and hard to cut. Both wasted about 25% of the steaks. $20 was removed from the bill, but it was still quite disappointing. Hopefully only a one-off.

Value - 3/10, Food - 7/10, Service - 7.5/10 Final Verdict - 2.92/5 or, 17.5/30 Ordered the Bruschetta, Madarin Almond Salad, NY Striploin with Cheesecake for dessert. The bruschetta and mandarin salad were actually quite good, pretty flavourful for being starters, Id say a 7.5/10. However, the main course, the NY Striploin, is where the meal fell apart. It was okay at best, 7/10 for me but, given the price, more like a 5/10. It was cooked to my liking, no complaints, but wow was it ever bland and boring. I can go to costco to get a steak, make a marinade, all for a total of $5-$10 per steak and have a far better meal. Disappointment was an understatement. Dessert was also okay, not great, 7/10 for me. Honestly, youre better off going to one of the bakerys in town and grabbing a slice as it will be FAR better. The saving grace was the service, our server was great, very conscious of our parties dietary restrictions (although we did reserve and tell them ahead). The only thing about service was my drink (not alcoholic) was grabbed for a refill and never came back for a big portion of the meal. My advice: try some of the many other wonderful restaurants in Peterborough or, save your money and make a far better meal at home with a little bit of time and effort. I cannot think of any scenario to recommend this restaurant for the price tag. Dietary restrictions: The staff was all very cogniscent about the people of our party who were dairy and gluten free, we appreiated that a lot!

The food was fabulous, & I wish I had known the name of our server but I didnt recognize the wines that they had but he patiently gave me samples of some which I did not care for, until I tried their house wine, that was the best one! (sorry I made you go back & forth but I hope the tip I gave you made up for it!) It was a wonderful meal and even better an excellent waiter. Bravo! The prices are high - but we knew that and wanted an excellent meal which we both enjoyed. Thank you!

Food came out stone cold! For a 40$ plate of food it should have been piping hot. 2nd time there, not hoping back or recommending to others.

We were here last fall for our anniversary. Tremendous food, priced as reasonably as one could expect, with great service.

In comparison to the Peterborough keg, the food tasted awesome and better, but the quanity was smaller, with my stake i got 2 asparagus and 2 carrots. After the meal i was filled but nothing to take home. It was exspensive but tasty, the keg has more for less taste. Id go there again for a special occassion

Ordered takeout from here, the service is very good and food is well.

Dinner was a bit of a disappointment this evening. I took a friend to my fav restaurant and not great. Long black hair in butter, Onion Soup tasted like it was hot water with beef bouillon powered, way to salty. Karen was an excellent server. It will be awhile before I go back. Sorry Berc s.

We celebrated our 51st anniversary here with another couple and the food was excellent, especially the Rib Eye steaks. Tuesday features a fixed menu of $85 a couple. We chose that & added a couple of variations. Bercs surprised us with a nice dessert of chocolate mousse on the house. Come to Peterborough and enjoy dinner here. You wont be disappointed.

The server, Karen was short with us and I heard her being snippy with the kitchen staff. The Fettuccine Alfredo was a bit overdone and it felt like they replaced a fair amount of the chicken with overcooked green beans of all things. It also came with a small, barely buttered price of garlic bread. The whole affair seemed like a rushed, cheap, economy version of what our Many previous outings there has taught me to expect. Im hoping it was just a bad day because it was Fathers Day. I will go back but if what I experienced last is the norm or worse yet a trend downwards, Ill sadly be going elsewhere thereafter.

I was at Baton Rouge last night, the steak was a 3 out of 10 compared to Bercs steak I had tonight. 10 out of 10, Id sat well done but it may confuse people. So.damn.good.

Excellent. We went there for our 49th anniversary and were very happy with everything. Our waitress (Heather) was amazing, the food very good and atmosphere was great. Would highly recommend it. We had the bacon wrapped filet mignon from the special dinner menu, yummy.

Always enjoyable

On Jul 28th we celebrated our 50th Anniversary, surrounded by our family, all 14 of us, reserved their special room and it was amazing from start to finish, Christina was so accommodating, 16 appetizers later, 14 individual meals, all prepared to perfection and all came out together, absolutely incredible service, cudos to the chefs in the kitchen and Mary who was so accommodating during all the planning.

The tomato Parmesan soup was lovely, and our server Heather did a fantastic job. The steak was fine, but my husband wasn t overly impressed by it as it came more medium than medium-rare. He was a little disappointed, since steak is their speciality. I got the chicken yakatori and was pleased with it. They also gave us some dessert as an extra since we were celebrating, which was a very thoughtful touch! It s a lovely atmosphere and the servers were very attentive.

Berc s usually has good food so I m not sure what happened last night. I ordered Calamari as an appetizer, it was good. A little overcooked but it tasted good. French onion soup came next, this was luke warm when served, again tasted great but definitely not served hot. I got the Ribeye served medium rare with garlic mashed potatoes and a side of bearnaise sauce. The steak was great but the button mushrooms and potatoes had so much salt it was hard to eat. The bearnaise sauce was very thick and very salty as well. Service was excellent, our waiter was a pro and we were treated very well. I didn t want to send any of the food back as we were with a large group and I didn t want to be that guy. Overall the food was very disappointing especially for the price. I expected better based on previous visits. There was 9 of us in the group and there were similar comments after we left from the other guys. Not sure I ll be back.

The staff at Bercs are very service-oriented and amazingly accommodating. The food was truly excellent and portion sizes quite generous. I highly recommend a visit to Bercs. Their cheesecake was among the best Ive ever eaten.

Albert was SO NICE. Super professional, helpful, kind and accommodating. Great atmosphere! The food was equally great, hats off to the kitchen crew! Food was served in a timely manner and with a smile!

Honestly, I used to love this place but the last couple of times I felt that its been going downhill. This was our go to special occasion restaurant until last night. Our reservations were at 6:30, we got seated right away, had a drink and got our appetizers quickly ( both were excellent),Which was fantastic. Then it took an exponentially long time to get our meals (well over an hour) and then when the meals finally arrived. They were either so hot you couldnt eat them or cold to the touch. I was chaulking it up to perhaps new staff or a busy evening UNTIL I saw our bill this morning (that my husband had paid). It was over 200$ for the two of us. AND both of our meals were Cold. Mine, I couldnt even eat it, it was so cold. My husband was talking about it this morning. About how he didnt want to make a scene because it was a special occasion for someone in our group. So he just ate his cold dinner. He did not enjoy it at all. And as Ive said, I didnt even eat mine. I hate leaving a bad review for a restaurant, because I feel like there are only chain restaurants around And its nice to have a local restaurant to go to, but I cannot believe what we paid for an absolutely terrible main course. The food taste was excellent, but after youve waited over an hour for your meal. And then it comes cold, its hard to stomach it and then on top of that, to pay $200 for the 2 of us. And please dont get me wrong, Were not cheap people. I dont mind paying good money for good food. But this was big money for a very poor experience. We normally have our Christmas party dinners (for the office) here and I dont think Im going to book them this year. I dont think itll be our go to restaurant anymore unfortunately.

Steak was very good

My steak was done to perfection. Fries were a tad too salty, Caesar salad was very good. Service was excellent

I must commend the staff for their exceptional service and hospitality but I regret to say that the quality of the food fell far below our expectations. To begin, the $50 lamb plate we ordered was a major letdown. The lamb itself was, at best, average in taste and texture. Furthermore, the double-baked potato accompanying it was overcooked to the point of being dry and clearly seemed to have been prepared from a frozen state. Additionally, the broccoli served alongside the lamb was undercooked and lacked flavour. Regrettably, my stuffed chicken dish suffered from similar issues. The chicken was disappointingly dry, and the garlic mashed potatoes, though passable, were far from exceptional. Once again, the broccoli was undercooked, leaving it unpalatable. The one saving grace was my sons steak from the kids menu, which was satisfactory. However, the French fries that accompanied it were overcooked, which was disheartening for him.

Very disappointing experience here. Had dinner here on a Friday evening with 4 others. We were seated promptly upon arrival but didn t get seen by our server for 20 minutes - finally got our first drink after 30 minutes. When we arrived we were the only table in our section - by the 30 minute mark, the entire section was full and every other table had been served drinks except ours. We were finally able to order our meals and didn t get our food for an hour a half after sitting down. That s completely unacceptable. We actually had people seated across from us ask us why we hadn t been served before them. Fortunately, the food was delicious but that would be the only good thing I could say about this place.

Attentive servers, excellent food.

Visit the store on a Saturday at noon, no reservations required, no waiting. The final criterion for evaluating a steakhouse is of course the steak, which is pretty good! This is the most delicious and tender steak I have ever had! The medium-rare was cooked just right, full of juice, and not at all bad. The side dish of mushrooms is also delicious and juicy. The service is also great, comfortable and natural.

Berc s was the right choice for our family dinner! We called in advance to book a special 80th birthday dinner for our family of 14! Berc s didn t disappoint! The food was delicious , timed perfectly, drinks were fabulous and service impeccable! It s not easy finding a place to suit all palettes and everyone was thrilled with their meals! Special thank you to Tina who took care of everyone that evening! She was friendly, on top of everyone s orders and ensured all meals came out together so we all had a great experience! I know there were many others behind the scenes that made it all happen too! Thank you for an amazing evening Berc s we will be back!

Celebrated my 61 st birthday dinner at Bercs . Amazing food!!!! Even tho there was a line up to come in there was no pressure on anyone to eat fast and leave. Definitely the BEST restaurant and experience Ive had in Ptbo restaurants in years!!

Absolutely loved dinner here. There were tons of choices of mains, and our server was very knowledgeable. Especially enjoyed the four course meal, wine and beer selection, and accommodations for the two year old in our party. Will definitely be back during our next visit to Peterborough!

UPDATE! I spoke to Stephanie earlier today. She was saddened and concerned about the experience, and was very helpful in changing our minds about returning. I have to say, that although the experience that night was upsetting, all our times in the past have been great. We are planning on returning on our way to the cottage for Thanksgiving, and will be stopping en route again. Everyone is entitled to a bad day even Berc s . Thank you Stephanie for rectifying this experience! I have to say again, that the staff is amazing! Paul (and Pete) I give this restaurant a 2 star because of my last experience. Have been stopping in at Berc s Steakhouse for years on our way up to the cottage. Always awesome experience. Until Tuesday night. Ordered a steak- medium. My partner ordered rare. Steaks came- mine was completely burnt. Seriously- the knife would not cut through it. I ve never sent a steak back, but this was totally inedible. They made another- left me with the piece of coal on my plate. My partner waited about 10 minutes for my new steak to come. Finally I asked him to start. My steak came - finally 25 minutes later. My partner had already finished his meal- and now had to wait for me to finish mine. They should have taken back both- so we could eat together- the point of going out for a nice dinner. Considering it was also my birthday- very disappointed. Although the wait staff was apologetic, you would think that my order would have been a priority- not 25 minutes later- when my partner had already finished his meal. The bill came- no compensation offered, not even a have dessert on us just the full bill. Over $200.00. Don t think we ll be back. Which is too bad. I hope they get this review . I m hoping it was just a bad night- but after dropping $200 on a meal- I m weary.

Food - give 5 stars BUT onion soup could see some minor improvements: more cheese please. And bread basket with butter is definitely what you should add as a MUST Service - surprisingly very decent: not annoying staff (very polite, actually), right questions from the personnel, good menu knowledge: you dont see these values quite often anymore. Atmosphere - very good: no loud music, very clean venue. Price - vert fair. Menu: very well balanced, but I would say some cheese and meat boards could be a good addition.

Great place. Local and well done. The ribeye is the best Ive had at any steak house. The lacking star is only to do with the Christmas Packages #1 and #2, and the fact it is promoted to impress. Why soil it with a $3.50 upgrade to salad? Why not include the salad option and either bury the upcharge or not charge it at all and truly make it impressive. It was great reading until UPGRADE came up. Sorry, Ill still come out, just not until the shine has come back.

We held our Christmas company dinner here on Saturday December 16, 2023. Eleven adults and one 4-year-old. The experience from making the reservation with Stephanie to our waiter David was flawless and a pleasure. The food was divine...not a complaint...everything cooked to perfection and served at the same time so we all ate every course together. David seemed to appear at our table at just the right time- everything with his sense of humor. He made sure our great grandson was catered to send made to feel special. This was one of the best fine dining restaurants we have been to. The atmosphere was classy and welcoming. The staff were all professional and so polite. We went for our anniversary dinner, we both had the lamb but at different temperatures and they were both served to us at the same time and cooked perfectly! And the chocolate cake was perfect too! Our dinner through out was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back!!

We only tried this place once for my husbands birthday in July based on the positive reviews. Huge disappointment. Service, freshness of seafood and price you pay for it. If this is the best steakhouse in Peterborough, we are afraid to think whats the worst.My husband got upset and we left and took dessert as a take out because we had already finished the coffee and the desert was not ready. We went to Keg next time and enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you Bercs for rippof price for mediocre steak and expired clams, and for ruining my husbands 55th birthday dinner

First time there. Went for a birthday dinner with friends. Great food and our server was very friendly and attentive.

House feature was very good but could have been hotter to eat. Yorkshire pudding, roast beef,gravy, cheese. It was lacking gravy that could have heated this up. It was tasty. Next time I would send it back to get heated. Parking: Lots of parking

Had reservations for 6:45 we were a few minutes early, by 8:20 our food still hadn t arrived at the table so we got up to pay for our drinks and appetizers and leave, our food was about to come out apparently (it was 8:30 at this point they close at 9) they were dead from 7:30 onwards people who ordered 5 minutes before us were already paying and leaving. We took our food to go since it was ready they only gave us a 20% discount and then a $50 gift certificate. Having worked in restaurants in the past who classified themselves as fine dining any place I worked if that had of happened it would have been a fully comped meal. Our server herself was amazing considering the circumstances but this is not somewhere I d recommend going.

Valentines Day Special 2022 RSVP Waitress forgot about our table, took our order and never returned to us for well over 20 min. Guess thats why our food wasnt served to us warm; food sat in the warmer. Portion, cost & service were all a factor.

My husband and I have always enjoyed Bercs Steakhouse and we have been going there for many years. We have been there for lunch and dinner. The service, the food and the atmosphere are wonderful. Our food has always been cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend it if you havent been there before!!

Wow! Five Stars in all areas. D and I were celebrating a special occasion and everyone at Bercs ensured it was so. Drats, forget the name of the Manager on duty. Our wait person was Steven, attention to detail and care was spot on. Congrats to kitchen staff regarding presentation and quality of every aspect of the meal. We had planned to return to where we had first reconnected but weather conditions meant we were making local plans on one days notice. We were so grateful for how our special evening felt special! So l love my steak. So l went to Bercs with all my family there was 7 of us 4 of us ordered the Rib eye. Cost 52 and 3 dollars extra for the Cesar salad.First l would like to say the service was outstanding our waitress was awesome. And the ambience of the place is outstanding. Now six meals of the seven came out very nice and no complaints. But mine was just terrible the steak had so much fat on it. Which made it not very appetizing for me to eat it.l was very disappointed and didnt want to make a fuss about it. But our group must of spent close to 1000 dollars with appetizers and drinks. And feel at that price the chef needs to make sure that all meals leaving his hands should be 100% before its served.anyways the evening went absolutely fantastic.l think l will give them another try.

The food was amazing. Everything from the bread, appetizers and entrees were delicious. My filet mignon was tender and spot on. Our server, David was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Our family get together before Christmas was perfect.
