Came for food with my family and was great. Quick service, great food, would definately reccomend. We had the jumbo platter and also some hummus, also some of the flat bread with meat

Really delicious food! We both had the mixed shish, the chicken and lamb was so tender and seasoned perfectly. The staff were very knowledgeable when it came to gluten free and coeliac advice, very friendly! Dietary restrictions: Coeliac friendly. Knowledgeable staff. Separate fryer for chips.

Great food.

It was our first visit to this restaurant and it wont be the last. We were looked after from the time we entered until the time we left. The service was absolutely first class. The food was very well presented and tasted delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant was superb and everyone seemed to get along together. A truly wonderful evening to remember. Best meat I ever eat. You really have to try this place!

Absolutely delicious food. Always fresh and cooked to perfection. I would say however, that if you go out for a meal with friends and want to stay longer and chitchat, bear in mind you might get asked to leave your table as they are soooo busy (doesn t matter which day of the week, they re always packed). 2 hrs max stay but cannot fault the food nor the service.

We came as a couple to celebrate my partners birthday. Although the whole of Peterborough was in there at the same time, and the restaurant was heaving, we could not fault the food or service. Despite being rushed off their feet all of our food and drink arrived quickly and was delicious. Staff greeted us with smiles and jokes and we felt under no pressure despite the madness around us! The staff deserve serious kudos for how they handled the restaurant being completely full. Extremely impressive.

Overprice. Food was good. Added service charge without asking if you are agree with. Meal and drinks price already expensive. Service not very well. Seat us next to kitchen window where was very loudly. Waiters all the time walking and talking next to our back. Definitly not place for date

This is a fantastic restaurant. The food is high quality, the staff friendly and helpful. Its a great place for family (of all ages), celebrations or date night. The food portions are great, not too expensive and theres lots of choice. I recommend booking a table and enjoying the delicious food! Vegetarian options: Theres vegetarian options and you can make small requests if theres a specific item you wish to have on its own Kid-friendliness: For all ages (baby seats provided) and young children. The staff are experienced and work well around families with young children.

Evren is a true delight. He attended to our every needs to make sure that our food was on time and hot. The taste and quality of the food is amazing, the portions are very generous, needless to say we went home with full stomachs and at a price that does not break the bank.Thank you Evren for making my birthday a special day. Absolute joke we booked a table of four for 6:30 and arrived to what can only be described as chaos! Totally full and a queue out the door and when we finally got inside we were told they couldnt find our booking We think they just have a sheet of names and just take walk-ins and give booked tables away Utter mayhem and definitely not a place for a relaxing dinner out

Best to make a reservation as its quite busy (visited Friday night).The food was fresh and delicious, the wait staff were knowledgeable and efficient. A bit rowdy as there were 3 birthday dinners when we visited; everyone joined in to sing the birthday song. Overall a great experience; would visit again. Food is very good - generous portions. Can be a bit noisy when the place is full. Staff where helpful but difficult sometimes to get their attention as the place is usually very busy.

The food is great, the Ali Nazik is unbelievable, I couldnt recommend it more. The service is always good.

It is so sad to say this because we have always had such great food and service BUT! On Saturday 5th of October we ordered a full platter for collection, they were very busy and advised us it would be ready in 45 minutes (which was fine) I arrived and it was indeed absolutely heaving but they brought my bag out after a short wait. Seeing they were so busy I gave them £60 cash for the meal and told them to keep the change. After getting in the car I realised there was no bread or rice pudding so we went back, I politely asked a gentleman to resolve this and he said you know we are out of bread I was a little miffed but headed home without the bread. We got home and I opened the container to find no rice just the meat. I called and explained this to the manager on saturday who wanted to have the rice and bread sent out but I explained it would be too late as we had to eat now but I understand they are very busy so I will call back on Monday to come to an accessible resolution. On Monday I spoke with a gentleman who initially offered a free desert on my next order. I was not prepared to accept this as my £60 meal was ruined on saturday so he agreed to provide me with the same order again free of charge when I next ordered. Today I called and was told Im not giving you the whole meal when only the rice was missing So there will be no more anniversary dinners family meals or takeaway from Turkish Kitchen, Peterborough in the future and I would urge others to do the same. Such a terrible shame. Additional info after the reply: So the plot thickens and now you are prepared to lie in order to cover yourselves. I have never ever requested chips as an alternative to the normal full platter accompaniments but i also never received any chips. Quite frankly I am disgusted by this out right deception in an attempt to discredit my honest review.

Ate here on a Saturday afternoon. Impressed by the attentive, but not obsequious, service. Food was promptly served and very tasty. Will definitely be eating here again.

Fantastic food

Me and my guests felt incredibly rushed on 18/10/24, we were given complimentary bread & dips and before we could even take a bite the maincourses were put down in front of us. There was this large sized waiter who was scruffy and had his loose shirt hanging out which looked very unprofessional but this isn t the point I wanted to make, he was so grumpy & rude to us, his face was a face of frustration like he didn t want to work or serve anyone, he made us feel uncomfortable, this same waiter brought us our bill and when I asked for the NON MANDATORY service charge to be removed he had the nerve to interrogate us as to why he should remove it, I explained the service was rushed and we didn t feel comfortable with this, he continued to try to make an excuse as to why the service charge should remain at which point I had to firmly tell him we wasn t going to pay any service charge as the service was unsatisfactory. After we paid the bill he threw the card receipt on our table and waddled off to go and back bite about us to a white female colleague, he s rude, grumpy & unprofessional, a discredit to what was otherwise very nice food.

Met some friiends for lunch, staff were excellent and the food was anazing. We will definately be back.

Love the mixed grill platter superb grilled wings and freshly made wheat rice (bulgur wheat). The lamb ribs are always succulent and moist grilled to perfection. The staff are attentive, friendly and kind.We always come back

Attended this place earlier today without a reservation and even though it was extremely busy, I was still accommodated for very efficiently and given a table. We were given bread with sauces almost instantly after being seated & the waiters were attentive and looking to make sure that all customers where happy. Clean environment, great energy, amazing food. 10/10 experience. I wish it was local to me so I could go regularly.

Excellent food at decent prices and nice staff. We went there on a Saturday evening; no reservation; they had a B-Day party, but still accommodated us immediately. The portions are generous! Will definitely go again when i. Peterborough!

I absolutely love it here. One of my favourite places but the last few times Ive been there its like they are hovering around, watching to quickly collect my plates. I feel rushed when eating.

It is the second time we come to this Turkish. We really liked it the first time and we have repeated bringing friends later. It is not usually necessary to reserve since the premises are quite spacious and there is usually availability. The hummus is especially delicious and they provide a good portion of bread, not like in other places where an extra portion is usually needed. The other dishes were also very good.

It was nice to have some proper Turkish food. Unfortunately pide was not on the menu, so I couldnt treat myself to that. The tavuk was succulent! Service was also really good. The atmosphere was ok but could be improved a tad, perhaps the size of the dining area requires different levels or different areas to be sectioned off to give a more cosy feel for diners. The bar layout at the front also seems to invite groups of lads in for a drink before their meal, which got loud when we were there, however, this was a Saturday afternoon and maybe the football was on. We were kindly offered a couple of drinks to apologise for the noisy group. I cant speak for how the atmosphere usually is as it was our first visit. We would absolutely come back, and recommend this place!

Food was flavorful, but as expected for a Turkish restaurant, however far too many options on the menu. The atmosphere was horrible, there is zero noise dampening so the customers speak louder and louder to hear each other. I couldnt hear the person sat next to me unless they shouted. My ears are still ringing the following day. Service was extremely slow, waited over 40 minutes between starter and main. Wont be attending again for a sit down meal.

In the center of fast food places you will find this place loaded with delightful Turkish cuisine and their flavor is finger licking good. I Ordered their Kabab with rice and it was delicious. Halal Food Close to city centre Single person £20+ Ambience was good Must visit place

I have not eaten there, but it is located under the Central Travel Lodge, and I notice that the place is usually packed. So it is popular.

A very busy Saturday evening but staff coped quite well. Big shout out to the chefs because every seat in the restaurant was taken, twice over. The food was great all 4 of us were impressed with the quality of the food, the flavours and the portions. Looking very much forward to eating here again soon. The lahmacun is delicious.

Went there with my other half and i must say it was amazing from the food to the service wouldnt fault anything. We ordered loads and were able to take what we couldnt finish as take away. Would definitely recomend and will be return for another meal.

Fantastic food! Be prepared to wait on a long queue, but trust me its well worth the wait. The staff are professional and diligent. The atmosphere is cool, but getting a seat can be a challenge. Next time you are in Peterborough, please make sure you visit. I highly recommend!

Popping through Peterborough and searched on Google for a place to eat, glad I found this. Decor and ambience was really impressive but the Hummus Shawarma was up there with the best Ive had! Mixed Grill was very nice to

Never in my life I ve had such tender chicken liver! Everything was so delicious! I liked that my request has been met. I ve asked for meat only and I ve had plate with meat but usually chefs tend to put something else on. Service is at the top.

Turkish Kitchen is known to have a good atmosphere, decor is nice and food is nice for Peterborough. However we went to break our fast here and after our starters coming within 10min, the main dish didnt come at all even after waiting for over a hour. I asked 3 different waitresses about this and not one of them cane back to tell us how long or what is happening. After waiting for over a hour we deicided to leave especially after seeing other peoples food coming before us when we were there first. No apologies from them nor any sympathy. Just took our money for the starters and drinks. Disappointed. Wont be going again. Parking: No parking for this restaurant however there is a parking car park about 50 yards away.

Food is amazing, the young girls at the customer service are poor, 3 times already the food is late for delivery 1 hour plus! First time it was missing items, second time we waited for 2 hours, third time the waitress with such a poor customer service is telling me on the phone that i am rude, because i was explaining to her that is the third time this happens. I had to cancel as i learnt my lesson, and my family was hungry..

Food never lets you down. I can never decide on one dish and always go for a platter, then take leftovers home. I could eat it every day. Staff are maybe a little shy/ less accommodating than other places but thats not a big thing for me personally. Interior is nice, clean, and you get a view of the grill. Right next to town so lots of parking space. Definitely recommend!!!!!

The Turkish restaurant I visited recently was one of the best Ive been to in a long time. The food was incredibly delicious and flavorful, and it was presented beautifully. The service was also excellent; the staff was very attentive and seemed to know exactly what we needed before we even asked. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Turkish dining experience.

Horrible experience. The chefs at the kitchen do not use gloves and was using phone in between. The staff was very rude at well. Please avoid this place.

Yesterday we visited Turkish Kitchen for my bday celebration. One of the waiters dropped red sauce and stained my friend brand new outfit(100£). Apologies and thats about it. No apology compliment like drink or desert or even discount. All about money. Also, we finished meal and waitresses were picking plates and wiping table and showing with body language you need to leave. We visit Turkish restaurants often and only here we faced something like this. Would I go back unlikely.

The food is very nice here. Ive eaten alot of Turkish food over the past 30 years. The salad that came with the shish was a bit boring and not the Turkish salad youd expect. The rice was fine. The meat, beef and chicken was very nice too. I had cacik on the side which was lovely. A tad pricey for what you get but it was nice.

I have been going to this place since 2021. Food is delicious and without a doubt one the 2 best turkish i tried in UK and even from turkey. Pan fried prawn are unbeatable. Alot of good choices in maij course but chiclen platter with poussin is my favourite. I dont really a fan of mojitos as they are a bit bitter for me, so i usually get a coke. Good environment with fine dining. All people but specially Hayat has always provided good customer service. It is one of my only 2 regular restaurants to go when i work nearby. Definitely a must try and you would become a regular.

This was our 1st time dining the staff were attentive and very friendly, ignore the negative comments you see here. The food was reasonably priced and the place was very clean, you get some really authentic food here Vegetarian options: My partner is a vegetarian and unlike most places she enjoyed the flavour and variety. Kid-friendliness: The servers where great with the kids even giving them free lollies at the end of the meal.

The Turkish Kitchen served vegetarian food, main courses and fish dishes, cold and hot mezes, charcoal grills, and combination kebabs. Additionally, they have a kids menu for £9.95 per child, which is pretty pricey in my opinion. This restaurant is well-liked by large groups and the locals. It is constantly busy and packed. It is a favourite restaurant for parties and anniversaries. I am not a fan of crowded places. This restaurant is a little too busy and raucous for my liking. Our companys Christmas party was held there the last time I visited, and the evening was jam-packed. Their menu was overflowing with meat. I dont eat a lot of meat, so I thought it was a touch excessive. Thats just my personal opinion. This is the spot for you if you enjoy eating a lot of meat.

Great communication , the food is great , lovely atmosphere really good service

Normally excellent but on this occasion utterly shocking. Booked a table over a week ago, they rang us to confirm on the day only for us to turn up and not be on their list. Service shocking in trying to sort it out and staff completely out there depth in trying to sort out the 20+ people waiting by the door for their tables. Had absolutely 0 clue or idea what to do or say.

Visited the Turkish Kitchen for the first time in probably six years and had forgotten how good the food was. Saturday early evening and the restaurant was packed, reservations essential. There is a real energy to the place. Well trained staff whizz about, so service is fast and friendly. The Lamb Iskender and Sarma Lamb Beyti were exceptional, both served with salad and rice. Generous portions too, so no room for desert. Cant wait to go back

Nice food but quite expensive

Greeat Food, good portions and waiting time is not that long. The only thing there is a lot of groups of people making the atmosphere loud and hard to communicate.

Stopped off here whilst in the area and loved the food. Probably the most tender lamb I have ever had.

Took my elderly father in law there for lunch for his birthday (his choice of food), we didnt get to book as couldnt be sure on timing so 6 of us turned up for a walk in, with him in a wheelchair. They were incredibly accommodating. The menu was amazing and the food delicious. They even brought him a little cake and candle to blow out and everyone sang to him . He thoroughly enjoyed himself. Thank you.

I love this restaurant, it is my go to for Lamb chops and the rice/grain side is to die for. The staff are amazing and make you feel really welcome, you will never leave this place feeling hungry. I have dined in a handful of times and get delivery at least once a month, I really enjoy the atmosphere of eating in but sometimes its not always possible so having the option of delivery is great and you get a complimentary rice pudding yum.

Awful place for plant based people. They have no respect whatsover and lie straight in your face. Using same pans and oils that they fried baby children lamb body parts on. Just winking and grinning weird men, with water in their brain and no respect for customers. Should have sude them.

Amazing place to visit, deffinately worth coming back multiple times, share plater for two is massive, four of us barely eat all food . Prices are quite high, but worth every single penny, cocktails tastes very nice and rich of flavour, deffinately take some starters because they are amazing.

5 of us went for my birthday. It was very good. Food excellent, service good. Only thing that I was not happy about was having a service charge on my bill. Its my decision if I want to give a tip if I feel it has been earned. However I do recommend and will go back. Food : 5/5

Food was nice. However terrible waiter (Turkish looking dude with the glasses and stubble) was very rude. He was giving us someone elses order in a rude manner even though we told him it wasnt ours and then he realised eventually it was another tables and didnt even apologise. The young lady with blonde hair who took our order apologised for his behaviour and was lovely throughout. Food was nice (had better in leicester) but for Peterborough it was ok. Nice atmosphere.

Came for my birthday and being told after an hour I have 1.5-2 here and I have to leave (when no body even told me about it on the phone when I pre booked the table)One of the staff (young boy with curly hair) was rude asking to get out because basically they are very busy and to many people was waiting in queue (again nothing to do with me)just dropped the bill on my table and being watching and waiting tiller we leave.Very disrespectful.The only thing food was very nice.Be aware when you going there .

The second visit was terrible, I havent had such heartburn and stomach pain in 10 years, I dont recommend to anyone and I would never go again, waiting in line for a table and then being up all night with pain no thanks

The lamb was so soft and melted in my mouth. The rice and salad was so good as well and we actually asked for more after the first serving. Definitely going there again next month cos I cant get enough

I almost didnt come here due to the past week reviews that scared me but i am glad i did. The food was amazing, i can say that compared to the restaurants in Turkey i actually enjoy it better here and that says something. The service was nice and welcoming, there werent many customers at the time so I assume there was no pressure on them. As a result they could give full attention to the few that were at that time. The atmosphere is very nice and the whole place is clean. My only concerns were about the food in terms of how it arrived. We ordered a platter to share and the vegetables supposedly grilled with the meat were actually cold. While the food was hot it was microwave hot not sizzling hot. However i just hope that it was just left aside and got cooled over time and the food wasnt reheated. It tasted amazing and was more than enough for 3 people. I will come back again in a few months with more people for my birthday.

Great food but....they need to organise bookings. We booked a table for Saturday night 6.30pm. Arrived promptly with about another 20 in a queue reaching outside the door. Many were complaining and we all ended up staring at the diners dining wondering when they were going to leave ? By 6.55pm we got a table. Then half way through our meal we were asked to move because they wanted to push our table to make a table of 4 !! And throughout diners waiting for a table staring at us not good. Good food , drinks and food not cheap but spoilt by table booking trying to get as many in as possible
