Halal Afghan Cuisine
Ordered take out and the experience was satisfactory. One girl at cash had a very passive expression bordering on rude. No manners. No smiles. Nadda. Until a guy she knew came in and flirty smiles began! The food was stellar and I would recommend it. I ordered a dinner combo with the rice and some dumplings. All were very delicious and hefty portion.
Heard of this place through a coworker. Placed an order through Uber eats, and for my disappointment, the Rice to Rest ratio is like 90% rice. Won't be ordering again. The tiny portion of the other stuff tastes good, but the pretty much rice-only food, for over $20 kills me. It's a no.
I recently visited with my parents!! They enjoyed the meal . Naan tasted great!!. Quantity was more but rice was much more than meat.. ambience was good and customer service was great.
Great food, great environment. Love this place. Will come back again In Sha Allah
Really friendly staff smiling all the time, helping and looking out for you. Food is also nice. Tomato sauce is really good. Bolani is amazing, chapli kakab are really yummy. Firnee ka kinda ok, its more if a custard than the traditional firnee. Entire place is really clean and big, so you dont need to worry about it being crowded and noisy. You can have a big group dinner here without any problem.
Use to come here all the time but after grabbing take out after a few months quality has taken a huge hit. The pieces were extremely tiny and dry, definitely not worth the $20 they charge for this meal
No table service, self service at this restaurant only. The food is great and tastes exactly the same as when it opened, portions are quite large too. BBQ is always grilled to perfection, chicken breast can sometimes can get a bit dry. Value to money - for a group of 5 you’re looking at about 120$ Ask for the salad on the side if you don’t want your rice getting soggy!
Below average. Needs serious improvements to be considered as a decent place to eat and satisfy customers. When we walked in there was this rotten smell lingering in the air. The floor underneath the table we sat at was nasty. When we went to pay for the food, they didn’t accept credit card, only takes debit. I ordered the Choppan (lamb chops) dinner meal which was the second most expensive item on the menu. When we went to receive our food, we were told that they ran out of lamb shanks that my brother ordered and that he needs to pick something else. It would’ve been nice if they told is this when we first ordered. I was thoroughly disappointed with the small portions of the lamb chops that I got. The men’s bathroom was a mess. When I entered, someone left the tap running and left. The foam soap dispenser didn’t dispense soap properly, it dispenses a tiny amount which is not enough(probably needs a refill). Garbage bin was overflowing. However I will say that the employees were pretty good and they were competent and working hard. If this place improves these shortcomings, they will satisfy their customers 100%.
This location is MASSIVE! Too bad they dont take reservations, would be a great venue to hold a party. The food is delicious and the wait time is not long. Vegetarian options: They do have some vegetarian options, but its mainly a meat heavy menu Dietary restrictions: Halal meat Parking: Lots of parking in this very spacious plaza Kid-friendliness: Not many kids options unless your kids eat kababs. Adding fries to the menu would help Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, very open and spacious
Really disappointed in how my Mantoo (for takeout) was prepared. We have come to this place frequently in the past, usually for dine in and food has always, for the most part, been prepared fresh and well. However, my Mantoo did not taste fresh. Very dry, hard and chewy with hardly any sauce. My stomach got upset as a result...I wont be coming to this location or getting takeout again for a long time...
They messed up my order. My number was 20, but they served 23 before me. When I asked for a spoon, they didnt have a metal one and gave me a plastic spoon instead. I cant even break the kabob with this spoon!
Kid-friendliness: Yes Food
Best kababs ever!!!!!! I love the salad and sauces as well. My fav restaurant
Amazing food.
Extremely rude staff Horrible service And horrible food! Food : 1/5
Extremely dirty bathrooms, unprofessional staff, found hair in my food and unreasonably long wait times.
Poor and very disorganized service both at the front cashier line and kitchen. Washrooms were utterly disgusting and we found strains of hair in our food. One of the staff explained this is typical for their location..Yikes! Stay far away from here!
I was there today ordered my food .The front cash register employee has zero patience. She acted like she has to catch a train or plane. She looked like she is very unhappy with her job and when I wanted to add fries as my side order she said she don t have it. My order number was 30 but they served order number 33 first. When I asked them to give me a tray to eat in, a girl almost threw the tray on me and asked me what else you want more. She was very rude than I lost my patience. I would never go to that location again. These people need a good training how to treat customers because people give them their hard earned money and expect a reasonable amount of respect. Very disappointed.
Extremely rude manager. Was yelling at customers. Very poor customer service.
The worst kabab place ever. Worst management and very bad cleanliness. We ordered food and get the half food. Really bad experience
I suppose its just a late afternoon crew issue only, but there was no Chai, and the front desk staff seem a little disorganized. I came and decided not to spend any money on a meal today. Just let those whom I was with buy their own meals. The CHAPLEE KABOB one person ordered was a little extra spicy (more than normal - Scoville measure worthy).
Been coming here forever. Never had a bad experience.
Nice place for some good kebab.
This was my first time here, and I really liked the whole ambiance of the place, and the food was very tasty as well.
Had the worst experience ever at this location. Got the table easily. Table was not clean. We had to call the server to clean it. Then I ordered lamb shank for myself. When I got the order the whole lamb shank was badly burnt to the point that it become black solid. I returned it back and they said they ll make a new order for me. 30 mins passed no one came to give the order when the girl on the cash told that she ll bring it herself. Upon asking they were asking what was my order. Then eventually when the order arrived to my surprise it was the same order and that same burnt piece of meat was given back to me. At that point I was so hungry that I ate whatever I could and left. I ve never had such disappointment before at bamyan at any other location. But this Pickering location was the worst. They were over staffed and had no courtesy at all. Will never forget this and will not go to this location ever again
Dietary restrictions: Halal Food
Please change your gloves, the workers never change the cloves, they handle the food with the same gloves they use on the cash out system, touches face and head with gloves cleaning up dirty dishes with same gloves. Food is ok, price is the norm
Our family has been going to this location since its inception. However the quality and customer service of restaurant has significantly deteriorated. In my visit yesterday, I initially received burned naans as part of my order. I politely asked it to be changed. They came back and gave me yesterday old stale naan. I politely asked one of the employee working in the register if fresh naan are just not available. Again, they came back with heated stale naan. Moments later the cash register lady came by to apologize and admitted the owner at the back yelled at her because she told them your ripping off customer. As I was leaving, I went to confront the manager working. He refused to acknowledge his mistake and said this is standard practice in restaurant industry and then went on to insult my physical appearance for having white hair. He then went on to say hope you enjoyed your stale naans for the meal.Posting picture of the manager in question who claimed to be the owner If your the owner and dont have the decency to serve fresh food to customers. At least have the desceny to be respectful to your employees who did nothing wrong but call out your conduct.
Delicious, fresh, and tasty food. Portions are just right. Theyre not huge as other people claim. I usually order two dinners for myself. They charge extra for sauces now, so they lose a star. Parking: Ample
Update: I would like to take back my positive review as the manager Sajjad did not keep his promise about giving us a refund and free food for their mistake. I can easily pay for the extra meal but dont promise me something and have me drive back and not keep your promise. I do not appreciate being lied to and will make sure to keep away from this location in the future. Extremely disappointed! We were given the wrong order and only realized once we got home. We called the restaurant to speak to the manager and were very pleased with the way he handled the situation. Highly recommend for their delicious food and great service. Lastly, Id like to say, thank you Bamiyan Pickering for bringing Bamiyan to Durham for those of us who used to drive all way to Markham for a plate of good Afghan food with consistent flavor and freshness.
As usual fresh food
Rice and salad have no flavor, only the meat, service and atmosphere are good.
Food is fresh and delicious, quality is top tier and prices are fair.
Been waiting too long, we didnt get the food, and they were serving the people who came after us!! They forgot our order! after 20 mins. my husband tried to follow up on the order, but they said it was coming now. After 30 minutes, they asked for more minutes. There was no food coming, and they kept serving people after us! We ended up just getting our money back. I dont usually complain but I got pissed off! I understand if they were busy or theres only 1 or 2 people in the kitchen, but its not! They keep chatting and doing nothing while theres an order waiting for so long? Ive been working in the food industry for so long. You should prioritize your customers order, especially when you are not busy and you have enough people to serve.
Our family favourite place big and very good location with positive atmosphere we always happy and enjoying the food
I called and ordered my food well in advance of arriving to the location (20 mins). When I arrived, I paid and asked if my order was ready. They said not yet and I waited patiently. Every few minutes I asked nicely whether my food was ready. Finally on the fourth try after 30 mins of waiting , they finally decided to check properly. It was ready the entire time on their counter. I did not appreciate this service because my wife and daughter were waiting in the car with baby crying. End Result: Cold food, baby crying and wasted 30 mins of my time waiting there for no reason. Next time please do better.
I came here because I had a craving for the kofta kebabs. I ordered the dinner combination kofta which included rice, salad, and naan. It was simply delicious for lunch. It was not dry and the cream and red sauce adds additional flavours to your meal. If you are looking to try Afghani food in Pickering this is the place to try. I saved the naan and brought it home as it was quite a bit of food.
Worst restaurant ever . The order taker is rude and mean . She literally threw the plate toward us and denies to provide us cutlery. Attention to the owner of this store -you should seriously work on your staffs customer service. We pay for food and pay for service NOT free. Your restaurant will be closed down soon . We will NEVER come back.
Worst experience ever. Stale food. The most rude customer service. Do not go to this place
Good food and good atmosphere
They never pick up the phone Place is boiling hot with no a/c on a hot summer day
I recently dined at Bamiyan Kabob with a group of 8 people, and despite a couple of hiccups, we had an overall positive experience. The food was undeniably delicious, and the service was friendly and efficient. We particularly enjoyed the flavorful kabobs and the variety of side dishes that were served. However, our dining experience was slightly marred by the lack of air conditioning in the restaurant. After a dance practice outdoors in 30-degree weather, walking into a warm dining area was not the most comfortable experience for our group. We felt compelled to place our order and dine in quickly to get back to our activities, which was a bit disappointing. I truly hope that the management team takes note of this feedback and considers improving the ventilation or cooling system in the restaurant to provide a more comfortable environment for their customers, especially during hot weather. With a few adjustments, Bamiyan Kabob could easily become a five-star dining destination. Overall, I would recommend Bamiyan Kabob for its delicious Afghan cuisine and friendly service, but I do hope to see improvements in the dining environment in the future.
Amazing place to eat.
Best food ever! I love eating it with my life super nice workers and everything
I have been a customer since they first opened their Thorncliff location. I have brought hundreds of people to their locations over the years. The staff of this particular location embarrassed me in front of my guests from California at the highest level. Absolutely disrespectful staff. Their so called manager (Ahmad) is a disgrace. Ahmad who has zero customer service skills, tells me that the staff was not rude. The point of the matter is, they should not be approaching us while were still eating. We were not sitting there chatting. I was so disappointed that I ended up walking away without a single apology. Clearly the staff and the manager needs more training interms of how to treat their guests. If I had the choice, I would definitely give them a zero star. Theyre not even worth the 1 start.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes Food
Restaurant is beautiful, great service and food was amazing!
The food was outstanding, the costumer service was great, it freshly prepared, very tasty. 5 stars I would highly recommend Bamiyan for those who haven t tried it yet.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes Food
Pls dont order from this place.. too expensive for little stuff. Especially not feom uber eats or door dash.. adds ur expense
This place has Very unprofessional and has disrespectful crew including the manager. We called them 20 minutes before arriving and order for 5 dinner platters. We arrived 10 minutes before our food was ready we were asked to take a seat until they bring our food. 10 minutes later the packed our food in plastic bags and asked us to eat it off of Togo containers. I respectfully asked them to take the food out since we had been waiting for it for 10 minutes in the restaurant they refused todo it and we left the restaurant without having our dinner. Next door Kandhar kabob is highly recommended. I am from US I was roaming around to find food and unlike bamyan they didn t disappointed
Good quality ingredients but the food is so mid not enough flavor or meat for a $18 meal(no drink) rather spend that money else where tbh.
Fewer and smaller steak or Tikka pieces compared to the past, yet theyve increased prices... left hungry and unsatisfied.
Service is slow and food takes long but food is freshly made and tasty. Parking: Lots and lots of parking Kid-friendliness: Family restaurant so kids everywhere u turn. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Terrible service overall. Poor attitude by the employees at the ordering counter. Well avoid this restaurant. Period.
I have been coming to this place from Oshawa for many years. Table service is very poor. My wife once went to ask them to clean table, they handed her cleaning materials to do it herself. Always have come here because of good food ONLY not service, up until today. Today I reached with my family at 9:38pm, like 8 minutes after when their policy kicks in for dine in. They refused to take my dine in order and were preparing food for already placed orders which were 8 mins before me for like 5-6 families not just 5-6 ppl. The guy working at the kitchen (owner) was asked for me to take my dine in order, which he straight up refused giving a non-logical and lame excuse for not taking my order. He said by the time my order will be served, it will pass 10pm which is their closing time so NO. It s not that the families whose food didn t arrive yet, will arrive in 20mins and they will finish eating before 10pm otherwise they will be kicked out. If not, then why not take my order, as the families dining in before me can even take longer then me to finish eating food and even be served very close to 10pm for their food order isn t it , as this was the lame excuse the owner was trying to make by not taking my order. I was not alone but had come with my family from far away, no respect or courtesy was shown whatsoever. This was a sorry attempt for an excuse by staff and owner. The worse thing is after I decided not to dine in as they said take out option available only. I decided to opt for Take Out only knowing that they don t have any rice left to serve. Why have a policy in effect when there is no rice left. Either closed taking orders and straight up refuse or just accept orders. Pass 9:30pm I figured they were trying to sell their left over food and trust me their take out order have had many complaints as the food quality gets greatly compromised. Moreover when a customer speaks to the owner, if it comes to this, he should be flexible and show respect towards customers, not be rude and talk over them. Terrible and very bad experience today as this changes everything. For those who still come here, owner or the eatery don t value you or you being loyal to them. They just want your money and wait till they become disrespectful and rude to you then you all might finally get it.
They used to have the best rice but not anymore the kofta kebab doesn t even looks like kofta kebab always burns the size is too small and probably the meat is not fresh anymore last time I thought maybe something happened that it s not good but this time again the same issue so for me no more so disappointed
The food wasn t of adequate quality, served raw food causing food poisoning.
Good food. Always there on a weekend
OK, it may not have the ambience of a Michelin-starred restaurant but the food is top notch, Service is nonexistent outside of ordering and payment which is fine as this is a self-serve place but with such prices maybe they should consider upgrading, just a thought.
I love it Delicious Foods!
One of the best restaurants in Durham halal, and great portions great price s definitely recommend. Dietary restrictions: Halal
I used to like this restaurant but recently i noticed that they are making portions smaller especially for tandoori chicken, like when i ordered online it was 18$ for few pieces!! It was really disappointing experience last time!
Fresh kabobs and not busy.
When this place opened it was so so good and very busy, with slow service compared to their other locations. The service is still so-so, and not that fast but the food is very fresh and tasty now, and has improved to be better than the Markham location in my opinion.
Its not the same as before. The food tastes is so different. I dont think so, Is this location running by Afghans? Most of the time, they dont have The items. . Its not the same taste of afghan food anymore.
Delicious food!
Food portions are becoming smaller and the taste is some different than other locations
Chicken kebab and kofta kebab are very delicious. Rice is fresh. Firnee is tasty. Great food
Basic kebab meals but delicious! Mango shake is a great great :)
Food quality and taste is not the same. There was no soap in the bathroom and when I inform them they said we have run out of soap and there is no soap on premises. With no soap how do we know they wash their hands how do we know the food is clean they need to be reported to the health department.
Amazing food and great customer service. Venue is very nice and clean
Great taste anytime family favourite
Change the girl at the cash, very unwelcoming & do not have the right attitude!!
Had inftar there. Will go again
Not worth it. Food taste is not good.
Amazing experience
Delicious healthy food. Great price for the quality. And they treat my kids so well when I come in. Definitely going to be a regular spot for me.
Ive been to Bamiyan for over 5 years now. Im writing this now because the food is consistent since day 1. the kebabs are always fresh and the rice is special. I particularly love their shir yaak, afghan style ice cream. The owners are very friendly. The portions are always generous so you get really good value for your money here. I usually walk out full from $10-15. Occasionally, might treat myself to a chai. The tandoori is my favorite. i also highly recommend the lamb kebabs too.
Excellent
Nice food, reasonably priced . Fresh, nice place . Sometimes the order takes a long time
Good food, but to call this place is horrible. Customer service needs an upgrade, especially taking orders
The food and service here is top shelf
Very Tasty Food I like it..
Bright atmosphere with lighting and amazing aromatic spices when entering Bamiyan Kabob in Pickering. Meals are very reasonably priced. Very clean atmosphere, and very friendly staff. Its great to see the open kitchen right behind order counter. I love the Afghan Naan. Note: Debit & Cash only Dietary restrictions: Halal dining Vegetarian options are available
My mom came to grab dinner one night from this particular Bamiyan & was told by a server that they dont serve half chicken dinners at this location which came as a surprise to us who have been ordering from the Markham Bamiyan for years & have been able to do so without issue. Regardless of us being that they didn t serve half chicken dinners at this location, we ordered 2 sultani kabob dinners which were absolutely tasteless & cold when we did get them. To be so adamant that something is not served when it is very clearly on the menu is quite literally the worst customer service I ve heard of, either train your staff better or hire better servers because that s absolutely ridiculous. I ve never had any complaints about the Markham Bamiyan, service or food wise but this one is laughable.
I used to go to the original location on Markham and 14th. Quality of food was amazing. Unfortunately, I cant say the same for the Pickering location. Went there before Ramadan with my family and we found very small portions and the naan was not so good. Meat was very chewy.
The food is very tasty and fresh
Good food
Awesome selection of Afghanistan food. Reasonable prices. Good portions. Good for lunch eat in or take out. Good menu for dinner.
We ordered a very large order for a staff party and Aaron the owner was extremely kind! He went above and beyond to bring us the food and box everything up beautifully! The food was hot, fresh and delicious! Everyone raved about it! I can t wait to go back! Vegetarian options: Delicious!
The food and customer service was amazing but they re known for using old salad, if that could be changed, 10/10 would recommend.
Excellent food and good ambience! Barg Kabob is what we tried and Tandoori Chicken wrap , both were delicious . Highly recommend this place ! Food : 5/5
They did not respect to my dog while she is a service dog
They did not allow my service dog to enter.
Amazing food amazing service absolutely love it
Love their chaplee kabobs
I love it .its too tasty
Nice n grt environment Good food Quick service Reasonable prices Food : 5/5 |
Food and place is great but their phone service is 0! They need multiple lines or hire someone separately just to take orders perhaps they dont care about extra potential customers
I cannot get over how good the food is here! Very polite service, spotlessly clean, and as I sit here typing this review as I finish my meal, a worker is literally on the ground beside me cleaning the underside of all the tables. This is a restaurant that takes real pride in their work. Outstanding! Will be back many times I am certain!
Delicious and plentiful dishes! The staff are courteous, the space is clean, and while you may wait a few minutes for your order, it s because it s being freshly made and will come out steaming hot. Highly recommend for anyone looking to have some Afghan food in Pickering.
Always recommended.
I visit this location occasionally, but I observed something terrible today. When I ordered take-out, and while waiting for my food to be ready, I saw a guy preparing food using his hands with no gloves to put salad and lettuce into a container. he could easily use a spoon or fork. He is not wearing an apron, just a simple casual t-shirt. Upon my complaint, he replied I had already washed my hands ( probably a few hours ago). he said we have been doing this for 15 years ( serving food by hand). I am sure this is not true as I have already ordered food from Bamiyan multiple times and from different branches, and I havent seen such a tragedy. It is interesting how this guy ended up in the center of the Bamiyan kitchen without knowing the fundamental aspects of health. I tried to report the incident to their central office, but no luck. Hopefully, someone from upper management will read this comment. I am going to report to Durham health as well. Incident date/time : 2022/04/09 - 8 p.m.
Their wraps are filled with salad and barely any meat. Prices remain the same or keep creeping up at the same time.
I tried this branch last week and it was great!
Food is average taste just like other Afghani restaurants. I guess they use more spices which cause acidity, like yeast or other unhealthy spices. Couple of us had indigestion problem and lots of us had acidity that we had to take medicine. Usually, I dont have that kind of issue in most of restaurants. Liked the mango smoothy. Beef kabab was not good. Like the chicken tikka and other chicken items. We were 14 people altogether. Tasted lots of different items. Will not suggest to go there for tasty food. However, they have pretty clean place and has more sitting arrangements. Parking: Mall parking and can park anywhere if restaurants front parking are occupied already. Kid-friendliness: Spacious space and kids can run around if not too many people around, kids can enjoy the half chicken. Just to be clear no toys or gaming facilities. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, both parking and restaurant
Best masala chai The other branches do not have this quality.
Bad Customer service
Nice place, great food! I will be going again.
They don t put utensils, absolutely bad service and policy when it comes to take-outs
One of the worst Bamiyan Kabon restaurants in Toronto.
I havent complained about it, but they stopped putting salad dressing on the veggies even then the portion is small compared to the rice. I am done getting kabobs from this place place its too over rated. Service sub par
Best place in Durham region to have afghan meals.
Always loved chappli kabab very moist and perfect spices. With naan and salad. Clean restaurant. Very good service
They r serving the best delicious half-chicken meal. I would highly recommend for chicken lovers.
The food was amazing! Fresh, flavourful, and generous portions. The staff were terrific. A great value. Highly recommend
Always fresh and hot and tasty,. One of my favourite restaurants! This location is great! The guys server in the front are very nice! The chefs are good too! Never disappointed, Thank you Bamyian Pickering!! Parking: Lots of parking!
Not bad
Love the mantou! Even though I get Stomach aches (lactose perhaps). There food is great, like it! Food : 4/5

They have the worst tika kabab I will never try Bamiyan again.
Excellent service and delicious food I ask God for their success
Real good spot for some afghan food. We have been to bamiyan several times and this location once. Glad to see that the service and food is here is of the same good quality. We like the chicken Tikka meal and we find the chicken to be very well seasoned. The chapli kebab meal is also really good and often the go to. It tastes great and the portion size is healthy. Definitely recommended.
Very clean, spacious and service always friendly! The Pickering location is great, so glad they opened up here.
What I like about bamiyan is the consistency of their food. Always tastes great!
Its ok. Staff is not that friendly with everyone.
Order lunch few times and they keep forgetting cutlery. Really upsetting. Food
Ate first time at this location and i must say i appreciate the food very much, 3 yrs ago i have have decided not to visit bamyan - Brampton. But at this Pickering location i have definitely felt the flavors, freshness and fast service + very clean and nice environment.
The food was fresh, tasty and very large portions. Their bread was to die for. Will definitely go back.
Great food
Great location. Clean. Food was ok. I was expecting more authentic food.
Best place to eat kabob and tandoori chicken
today I visited this restaurant again, but more disappointed their attitude is very bad customer service also zero.
This location is a joke. Theyll take your order and money, make you wait 21 minutes before telling you they dont have any more rice.
We ordered take out and everything was over cooked from the chicken to the filet mignon to the kabobs. The filet was so over cooked, I was not able to chew it. Some of the lettuce were bad. Honestly I don t know how these people charge for burnt and over cooked food. Horrible experience. I would give this good to my dog if I had one.
Good portion size and its possible to share the dishes family style. Ordered multiple times for takeout and also for dine-in. Food is not too greasy and we always leave full. Parking: Shared parking lot in shopping plaza with other stores and eateries.
My dining experience at Bamiyan Kabob was truly exceptional. From the moment I entered, I was impressed by the restaurants cleanliness and inviting atmosphere. However, it was the food that truly stole the show. The authenticity and freshness of the dishes were evident from the first bite. The rice was perfectly cooked, with a delightful softness that complemented the main courses excellently. The meat, whether it was chicken or beef, was exceptionally tender and brimming with flavor. The chicken, in particular, stood out with its rich and aromatic seasoning. The Kofta kabob, featuring lean ground beef marinated in fresh grated spices and seasonings, was a culinary masterpiece. The meat was cooked to perfection, each bite bursting with savory goodness. The Chaplee Kabob was equally impressive, showcasing a balance of flavors and textures that delighted the palate. To conclude the meal, the dessert Firnee was the perfect sweet note to end on. Its rich, creamy texture combined with the aromatic spices and nutty crunch made for an unforgettable dessert experience. Bamiyan Kabob is a true gem for those seeking authentic and delectable Afghan cuisine. The attention to detail in their food preparation is evident, and the flavors are a testament to their commitment to quality. I highly recommend trying their dishes, as it was a dining experience that left a lasting impression.
I love the kebabs at Bamiyan.
Smaller portions, higher prices, not the best quality. Not coming back to this location again.
Ever since i moved to canada, bamiyan kabob is my go to place now.I eat the tandoori dinner over and over again, its become my new comfort food.I guess the quality n freshness of their food keeps me hooked to the place.THank you
Worst experience ever. The manager picked a fight only because I asked for water. I waited in line patiently for water and still I was pushed to the side and made to wait 20 minutes after my food was served. We had food on the table and he was forcing us to leave. Yelling and screaming at us to leave the store immediately. Unfortunately, I can t give a zero rating. This place is garbage with garbage management. They behave like they are still in war in Afghanistan. First time I am leaving a negative review and looks like I am not the only one for this place. Would never recommend this place with such rude people.
Rice is fine, salad delicious, Tikka kabab is burned and worst. Naan is good. Will not try this location again.
Literally worst place ever there was hair in my food and they didn t even give me a refund. Workers are rude and selfish and I wasn t even done with my food and they wouldn t give it back and it s not my fault that the hair was underneath. AND IM A HIJABI. Makes no sense at all. Disgusting.
I ordered from this place and there was a hair in ma kabob. a wah di bloodclaat dew yuh
I found hairs in my rice and kabab. THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH IT.
Lots of hair in my food. Felt like I was eating hair found in a shower drain Food
I went here and there was a hair in my food please take action on this issue I don t think they shower because the hair tasted quite salty disappointing
Highly recommend it not only for the food but ambience is great too. Parking: Big parking lot Food : 5/5 |
They doesn t treat their employees nicely, overtime and harrasing is their usual thing
Very good food quality for a reasonable prices
Tasty food friendly staff . Parking: Over 150 spots Kid-friendliness: Polite and well behaved.
Very good service
Nice place to have a family halal meal.
Despite my understanding of their decision to not accept Visa, presumably to avoid the 2% fee, the overall experience was marred by unprofessional staff. Their insistence on prepayment before taking my order, even requiring me to return to my car for it, left a negative impression. Despite the excellent food, I sincerely hope the management reconsiders their policy and begins accepting Visa for a more customer-friendly approach.
This place is a disgrace to our Afghan culture and food. It was our first time going there for a family dinner and everyone regreted the decision to go here. The food is absolutely a disaster and it doesnt taste like afghan food at all. Everyone was unprofessional and PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE FOR AFGHAN FOOD!!!
Had a very bad experience very poor customer service
WORST LOCATION OUT OF ALL OF THEM 32MIN FOR 2 DINNERS RIDICULOUS Food : 5/5
I was reading the reviews. And Im shocked to read some negative reviews. The food is clean , good portion, and taste amazing and always have this good consistency. I have been going there for years and never disjointed So I dont get the bad reviews. My only complaint, maybe they need some music and cleaner washrooms.
My 6 friends and I visited BK yesterday for a Friends-mas lunch and were warmly greeted as we walked in and orders taken in a timely manner. We found a table and waited for our numbers to be called to go pick up our orders for our table. I ordered the Greek Salad with Tandoori chicken and it did not disappoint! It came with a football sized Naan, spicy sauce and garlic dip on the side. Absolutely delicious! Chicken was perfectly flavored and juicy with plenty of other vegetables to crunch. 5 minutes after we started eating, the cashier delivers a plate of dumplings for our table as they were new on the menu and says please enjoy these are on the house! I have nothing but awesome things to say about this restaurant. We have gone there several times now and the food, staff, service and environment is always top notch. If youre never been, you are missing out! Its a hidden little gem with nothing but the best and they have a life long customer in me and my friends! Great job BK!! Youll see us again soon.
This place barely gives any rice with the meal. They treat you as if they are a charity and your money is worth nothing.
Great kebabs and good service
The best time to go is after 6:00 p.m. Kid-friendliness: A small area designed for kids especially kids from 1-5 years Food : 3/5 |
Excellent taste, fresh. Service is above and beyond. Thank you very much for making our day!
They were the original Afghan kebab go to place, sad to see it decline. Service especially the girl in cash was below average. Food is okay, hard for me to say this (I have been coming to Bamiyan for years) but there are better options down the road.
