Peking duck was quite possibly the best dish I’ve had all year. Anywhere. And it’s just November. Get it!
Service of a waitress was appalling! 15% off if you pay cash, but 15% gratuities were added. Thus, the patron would normally not pay any more tips. We wonder who gets the gratuities. If the waitress would not get those, they probably wouldn’t care to serve. A vicious cycle? Or she got the gratuities but still chose to be rude to patrons? Food is okay, though it is not worth the high price. Wouldn’t go back again. Btw, if you are bringing elderly friends or relatives, the closest entrance would still require them to walk quite a distance after getting off the car. Hence, not a good place to bring them unless they don’t mind a walking exercise before and after the meal.
The food was not that good, don’t bother. I was at the casino in pickering and wanted to try something different but I wished I had just stuck to what I know. The chicken & meat was too sweet for my liking here. On top of that they added an automatic 15% tip service charge at the end of the bill and didn’t bring that to my knowledge verbally from the beginning they put it in a small print with a sticker for you to figure it out yourself. It’s a money hungry place that doesn’t even taste good. The place did look nice tho.
The food is divine but there is a language barrier and misleading signage. They had a sign advertising a crab special at $19.99 per lb, we asked for 1 lb, they brought 2 crabs, we told them it might be a mistake as we only wanted 1lb, they took it back and replated with one crab and fries. I said to the server “wow all that for $20?!” She said yes, I said “amazing, thank you!”. They charged us $39.98! They said it’s $19.99 per lb and the crab they served was 2 lbs. It felt like a gimmick tbh as no one mentioned this before. I love the food here but don’t think I would go back as this was misleading and they weren’t understanding. See photos of signage, food (wrong order with 2 crabs and then the replated one with one crab) and receipt. The crab was also listed on receipt in a different language.
First time came here for dinner, we usually do the dim sum at lunch. The restaurant does deliver some great authentic Chinese foods and attentive services The sweet and sour pork, wonton soup, water-boiled beef are all very good! The peking duck is particularly crispy and tasty!! Overall, this is a good found in Pickering. The best part is we managed to have some slot machine fun after the dinner and everyone had a great time!!
Was strange, going for lunch and being the only people in this large and opulent restaurant. Apparently it gets busy for dinner. Staff are attentive and nice. Smallish menu for dim sum lunch, but everything looked good. Was sad they did not have the BBQ pork buns, but it seems everyone likes them and they had sold out over night. Food is brought by a little robot, more gimmick than anything, as a staff member had to stay beside it the entire time. Food was good, tea was good, no complaints at all. Certainly somewhere I would go again.
乳鴿is very good. It's $49.99 for one. Dim sum is so so, not many variety on the dim sum menu. Based on the food quality and portion, I think it's abit overpriced.
Busy place but love decor, and nice and bright...for price of food...was so so... We had A5 wagyu steak too much seasoning...would have been bette rjust salt and pepper... bbq pork was ok, crab claw were meh ...too much flour... Wonton shrimp were delicious! Pork and shrimp fried rice was good... Service was good but mains came with apps..and had to ask for fried rice...late...plus they add 1.5 x on for comps...and have to pay tip in xash... First time to casino pickering... Came to see Bryan Adam's...had a meal first.... Hapoy with our seats...now let's Rock!!!
Great food and price
Totally played us said the lobster was 4lbs lmfao! It was empty in there and the food was mid. Took our $400 order and made us leave after 30 mins.
Worst Service Ever Never going back again
I ve been to many dim sum restaurants, and this one is by far the best. It s more pricey but definitely worth it
Went there last night with my girlfriend. We ordered food and appetizer. My food and appetizer showed up, without my friend main course. Terrible service. Would not go back again.
Edit: just paid the bill. Even though a service charge was added automatically, the waitress tried to short change me by $2. I can afford the $2, but to have her try to lie by saying look at the bottom of the bill where there is no additional $2 charge, is truly infuriating. 2nd meal here out of convenience. Talk about a rude waitress. She wanted me to sit at a table out of her convenience, right underneath the a/c vent. And I was only the 2nd table in the place. I moved myself away by 6 feet, and she did nothing but scowl at me. After I ordered, no thanks, nothing. For such an overpriced restaurant with so few customers , you d think they could be pleasant at least.
Cafeteria atmosphere. Super bright lights and noisy. Dont know what the food is like been waiting 40 minutes. I think you would be able to serve more people if you had adequate staff and didnt use that ridiculous robot that delivers only one dish at a time. Also they are out of glasses/ cups... are you a restaurant or what?
I cant believe they still offer shark fin soup. I will never go there.
We ordered different foods it was all awesome, service etc.highly recommend
Over priced restaurant. Get some food before coming here unless you won a jackpot.
Robots bring some food out and the wait staff are great also
Dinner was delicious! Great service too. Our server Xiao Yi was wonderful, he was very friendly and he made some great suggestions. The food was yummy, overall great dinner and experience :)
Absolutely incredible food. Could not have asked for better service. Very attentive. We ordered way too much food, portions are generous and everything is so fresh! Will come back again when we visit Toronto.
Hidden gem inside the Pickering casino. Loved their lobster with noodle, siomai and wonderful service Parking: Lots of parking space. Electric vehicle recharging stations available.
Dont waste your time or money totalnrip off garbage food small portions and extra large price and to top it off 15% gratuity on top of a ridiculous price Id rather rat gas statiinsushi
Delicious, clean, and excellent service
Server doesnt speak English, which would be fine if the food was anywhere near the quality as what I would get in Vancouver when my server didnt speak English at a Chinese restaurant. However, the wonton soup was average at best, my wontons were cold in the middle, clear sign that these are store bought frozen wonton. The spare ribs with black bean sauce was disgusting. The white rice was sadly the highlight of the meal. I also asked for a vodka cran, was brought vodka and a V8, guy opened the can for me, so I didnt even feel like I could say it was the wrong thing. Over all, terrible experience.
Lovely interior design and food is light and delicious not too strong.
Best sim sum ever
The first restaurant to open in Pickerings new casino/entertainment complex. Lighting too bright, service prompt; self-driving carts brought food from the kitchen. Many exotic and very expensive items on the menu, but we stuck with more affordable seafood/rice and beef/noodle dishes which were decent but surprisingly bland. For $120 for 2 (including automatic 15% tip) it was disappointing.
