376 Kingston Rd, Pickering, ON L1V 6K4, Canada
Serving the finest in Chinese/Asian cuisine to Pickering, Ajax and Scarborough for over 35 years (Est. 1988).
Order takeout and I gave sufficient time for the meal to be prepared, hot and ready. The noodles were warm the chicken was ice cold. The noodles still had the gelatin in the broth as if it wasn’t properly cooked up. The chips for the wontons were extremely stale. You could tell it was not freshly fried. The general chicken seemed like it was microwaved and sauce. I don’t know who eats here and how they think this is supposed to be authentic Chinese food but honestly If you’re looking for quality food, don’t waste your time here. I did call back to let them know how my food was. The manager Peter on the phone did not even acknowledge finally at the end of the conversation he said he will have a discussion with his kitchen. I just found it very surprising for a business that’s open this long to have food like this.
I am frigging upset , that I even order from here !!! The food is nasty and disgusting . The chicken fried rice taste old, hard, grainy and not fresh ! The beef and veggie is very tasteless. The chicken ball tasteless and nasty!!! .The egg roll is nasty ! Everything was much a disappointment! I had to force myself to eat it, I feel like a damn bite is torture. I will never order or eat from this place ever again ! This was a waste of my money !!!!
Probably my favourite restaurant in town! Food is delicious and very good service. Just love this place 🥢🥡🔝
Delicious American Chinese food at very fair prices! The staff are extremely friendly and patient and the decor is pretty. The bathrooms are clean and the Koi pond at the entrance is beautiful. Be sure to order the noodle dishes and hot and sour soup as they are amazing. Will return soon. Thanks for a great experience!
Ordered here based on strong reviews hadn’t realized the strong reviews are from 15 years ago forgot to filter by date. I have never seen hot and sour soup this colour it tastes like toilet paper water and black pepper? Maybe white pepper. Such a small container for $5.50. Bestco sells average hot and sour soup in a huge tub for $4.99 - tbh if it tastes good the size wouldn’t matter but it was gross. Egg roll was good but over fried and hard Beef chow mein was tasteless but not the worst I’ve had. The beef was tasteless and chewy for $18.95 it was a huge waste of money and such a small portion. Cantonese chow mien is on discount m-f for lunch for $13.95 and maybe then soggy tasteless noddles would be worth it. It did look yummy though. Edible but had to doctor it with some oyster sauce chick stock and soy sauce aka made my own beef chowmein sauce - defeats the purpose of a $20 dish. $30 total and a waste of money and calories.
The quality of food here is unmatched. Other Chinese restaurants do not compare to the quality here with the meat and crisp veggies. It’s amazing and consistent. But the portions are smaller and pricier and front desk could be a little nicer. Still highly recommend!
This place is the best! We’ve been eating here for over 15 years and I honestly feel like the taste and quality of food have only gotten better! Not to mention the friendly staff and overall cleanliness of the restaurant ( even the washroom, a big plus in my book!) We highly recommended the wings and the spring rolls, they are a MUST! Small business like them are the best!
I ordered take out for dinner during work break and here's what I received: $17 Chili chicken-- not special combo or family deal, just regular price dish, cause I was expecting a big box that can hold me through 12hours shift, and $3.75 rice. Plus tax in total almost $25, and when I open the bag at work my self and all others were shocked, there's literally 9 piece of chicken, yes I counted, with onions. I really really want to go back and ask the restaurant is this your regular size or just a mistake? But I can't leave my work. I understand everything's price is increasing but in my understanding this is a signal lunch special size.
The food was terrible for the price I paid. Not impressed at all.
Great place, good food and good service
The best chinese food weve ever had. Ken took really good care of us. Mr. Wong is really friendly and humble. Great experience. Awesome job Ken. Thanks
I always loved this place. I used to work nearby in the 1990s and would come here for lunch. Last summer we got to go back a few times. The service was excellent and so was the food. Large portions and friendly service havent changed! Kid-friendliness: There is a lovely Koi pond in the restaurant. Fun for all ages! Wheelchair accessibility: It is at ground level with no steps.
For the price of $17, I figured a small family of 4 could atleast share a bowl of sesame chicken. The portion size was sooooooo small not worth the price but my kids said it tastes good too small for me to even try
Cant say enough good things about this place food atmosphere nothing can compare
This was the worst Chinese food that I have ever encountered in my 30 years of living in Ajax. My go to is usually Oriental kitchen in Pickering village but they close on Tuesday s. What a dreadful mistake that I made by ordering from this restaurant, I paid a whopping $95-25 for absolute garbage, when I called to complain the manager called Peter was so rude it ended up in a shouting match, when we opened the containers they were soaked in this watery liquid which had spilled out into the brown paper bag, the Cantonese chow mein had only six tiny shrimp and soggy vegetables at $18-95 it was disgusting, we literally could not eat it, the other items were just as bad, the wonton soup was about the only thing that was editable but it was a very small container! PlEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this place, the food is awful and the customer service is definitely not for the faint of heart, we ended up having to order in pizza
Vincent was great.... Amazing find and now our go to place for great Chinese food....
If youre looking for the best Canadian Chinese cuisine in the GTA the Paul Wongs is the place. Amazing staff, great food and be sure to stop by the dining room to be treated to white linen table cloths and that incredible ambience from yesteryear. Amazing! Love this place!
I placed a take order spend $120 Food was room temperature, beef mushroom taste sour and smell like it was gone bad. The general tao chicken container was half full. The deep fried shrimp was all batter and shrimp. Overall it was a great disappointment. Never again what a waste &120 Food
Ordered online for delivery based on the strong reviews and I was really disappointed. Order was for: manchurian chicken w/ fried rice: Rice was really dry and flavourless and not dry in a good way. Moreso that it was stale and the grains almost crumbled while chewing. The manchurian chicken was labled as extremely spicy on the app and also lacked any disctinct flavour. Had to poor chili oil over the container to get through it and even then could not finish. I could also tell it wasnt fresh because some bites had a funky taste to it as if it was spoiled. If I did not get the chicken wings this would have been a 1 star review. Spicy chicken wings: Again not spicy and also not what I was expecting. Basically just chicken wings w/ cajun seasoning. This wasnt bad but not what I expected to receive from a place that sells chinese food. Would not order again, much better options nearby in scarborough and further east into pickering/ajax.
I was told to try this place for Shanghai noodles and dimsum. The noodles were lacking flavour and the spring roll and har gow are just average, plain little flavour. I was disappointed to be honest. Best in Durham region they say, not if you ask me.
Its quiet, wonderful service, great food. Vegetarian options: Machurian veggies and machurian veggies and shrimp yummy. Food : 5/5 |
Best spot in Pickering for sure - portions could be larger, but its very tasty
The best high quality Chinese food you will ever have serves by the nicest people you could ever meet. I wish I could give more than 5 stars
Love this place!
We have been ordering food from Paul Wongs for over 20 years now. Food is hot and fresh and the service is friendly. Unfortunately, we have recently noticed the take out containers are about 1/3 smaller than they used to be. Smaller portions means we need to order extra food to feed our family. Very disappointing.
Nice selection. Stay away from bathrooms
Went there last week with my old man. Him and his old coworkers back in the Clearnet days used to dine here all the time, and this time I finally got to check it out. Had the Cantonese chow mein with shrimp and scallops, the beef and mixed veggies, general Tao chicken, wonton soup and some chicken wings. Everything was delicious, and large portion sizes. I wasnt expecting the large size of the pieces of shrimp or scallops. The sauce that came on the beef and veggies was so good. I ended up dipping my wings into it. The general Tao sauce was nice, not too spicy, and still a bit of crisp from corn starch coating. the wings were nice and crispy, juicy, and great flavour. I dunno how the Chinese food places get their wings to taste like that! but I need to find out. We intended on having leftovers, which left both of us with several plates more. Our server was great, he recognized my dad right away. I think he cooked the food aswell.. Im not sure if it was Paul Wong himself, but whomever it was, thanks very much. I will be back.
I enjoyed the taste of everything we ordered for take out, but the portion sizes were pretty small. There are lots of onions and little chicken. I wonder if I could ask them to go easy on the onions. I would give it 3.5 stars if we had the option. Vegetarian options: I loved the tofu dish.
This place is a hidden gem very good food MUST GET THE EGG ROLLS!!!
We have, as a family, ordered Paul Wong s for over 25 years and it arrives piping hot and delicious every single time! Never disappointed
The food ingredients are fresh and when I share this with you ... the bean sprouts and vegetables are fresh and the soup ingredients (noodles) are too. I have been to other similar Chinese restaurants where the beansprouts are wilted and so on. My favorite disk is the Cantonese styled noodles and their chicken moo goo gai pan. Yum! They also offer lunch deals and their individual combos are delicious too.
Excellent service and amazing food.
Delicious dishes, chicken balls, beef and broccoli, Cantonese chow main, all enjoyed at the girls night in. Thank you
Compliments to the chef! Excellent tasting food. Clean restrooms and nice place. Great prices. Vegetarian options: Comparable tasting chili tofu to my usual all time favorite! But it doesnt come with plain rice like other restaurants. And it is not served with the traditional red and green chili pepper condiments.
Best food in town
Classic.
Been coming here for 30 years with my family Its always so good! Clean and great portion & price. Good job guys! Food
Always greeted w a friendly staff and served fresh piping hot food! It hasnt disappointed me. Requests are observed (no spicy ingredients), very accommodating!
My fave Chinese food in Ontario! I usually do take out but dining it, the staff is super friendly, great portions.
Food is unbelievably mediocre. No veggies in the fried rice, stir fry veggies are cut way too large why would you put large chunks of celery??? Everything is so lifeless, it is obvious that the chef doesn t care about anything. Wish I never tried this place.
Nailed it ..again! Last night marked our first New Years gathering since Dec 31 2019. We called in our order for 12 dishes at 3:30 for 9:30 delivery. The food arrived right at 9:30 and the driver was really engaging. The food was so hot it was hard to handle. Why can t Uber Eats figure out how to do this ??? Paul Wongs is amazing. Thanks for another excellent feast. Happy 23 to all of you.
This was take out. Food was great and ready when I arrived. Friendly people.
Good service and food
Vegetarian options: In house plum sauce excellent. Lots of veg when ordering a meat and veg. Recommended dishes
Had their combo lunch, wow, so good and very healthy amounts. Best egg roll I have ever had, Super service. Recommended
Great Chinese food
We have been getting take our from Paul Wongs for years. Top quality. Not the cheapest but definitely worth the money. Crisp fresh veggies and large chucks of top quality chicken or beef. Highly recommend.
This was my first and most definitely LAST time here. The food (Singapore noodles) was subpar and B L A N D!! The sizzling beef was the absolute worst! The egg roll tasted pre-frozen and expired. Outside of our server, the chicken wings and the glasses of water, this was a HORRIFIC experience.
really good Chinese food in cancun
Great food and friendly service
The finest Chinese food!
Always a great spot for amazing food and even better service. Still bouncing back from Covid and a little short but they re managing great!
Amazing service by our server. Very accommodating and he was very patient with my family. The food was served fresh, tasty and not salty at all!
Best Chineese food you will eat beleive me try it
Have been to Paul Wongs for over 20 years. It is the best!!!
Best Chinese food I have found. Just fantastic.
we ordered for pick up so the service and atmosphere was great since we didn t interact with much of it. the food was lovely other than the white rice being a little dry. overall pretty great though!
Vegetarian options: Not too much for vegetarian Food
Horrible food. This was perhaps the worst Chinese food I ever had. I seen many people suggesting to eat here so I gave it a shot and man was it disappointing. Went here on a Saturday and ordered Manchurian fried egg noodle with chicken, ginger beef, & chili chicken. All flavorless. The Manchurian fried egg noodle that was supposed to be made with chicken barely had any chicken. The ginger beef was just straight gross(beef was very chewy and the it tasted like shampoo) and the chili chicken was the worst I ever had. Not cheap either as the bill came to $68! Do yourself a favor and don t eat here, I will never again.
Paul Wongs has been a mainstay in Pickering for many years. On a recent visit, it was actually a comfort to see that very little has changed there over the years. The koi have gotten bigger, but much else remains the same. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and the portions are generous. You certainly dont have to search for the almonds in the vegetable and almonds dish! This is probably the last place where you can still get a satisfying lunch plate for under $10.00. The egg roll, which is plump and tasty, is worth the extra expense!
A family favorite
Still a go to Chinese restaurant on the Pickering Scarborough order. Been around for ages and still going strong!
We found this place by accident - traveling along the 401 and decided we wanted Chinese for lunch and Yelp led us here. Greeted by the owner who obviously (and deservedly) has pride in his restaurant. Clean cloth table cloth and napkins - a nice touch. We had two of the combination plate and found everything prepared wonderfully. The restaurant makes their own egg rolls, plum sauce, spicy mustard and sweet and sour sauce. All delicious. Highly recommend this place. We ll be back. Parking: Lots of close by parking.
Great Chinese food. They have been a staple in Pickering for as long as I remember. They have the best peppercorn steak soo yummy. It is a bit pricey compared to similar restaurants but worth it!
Good taste of the food and excellent service. I real Chinese restaurant.
A wonderful surprise to stumble upon this restaurant on a Friday evening. Quiet, clean, and a very welcoming atmosphere. We were extremely happy with the freshness and flavours of all the food we had. The service was also top notch. Best Chinese food in years. We will be back. Thank you
Not sure if this was a one-off or not, but this one experience will not bring us back. We ordered two combo specials through Skip the Dishes and were not happy with either. Sweet and Sour spare ribs were obviously a frozen product with little to no meat and the chicken fried rice and beef with mixed vegetables were very bad. Back to Dragon Gem for us.
Absolutely should avoid this place. The food was not edible.
Best chinese food ever, terrific staff, the restaurant is beautiful with a nice fish pond near front entrance. The prices are very low and you get lots of delicious food. Highly recommend to everyone.
I have been going here for years and today I ordered many of my favourites and almost all of them were terrible. They have changed their rice and the quality is very poor. There chicken balls are bites really and hard as rocks. Their spring rolls tasted spoiled and smelled terrible. I will never eat there again. Bye bye to a 20 year tradition!
Nice place, great food. It was the first time I had been there. It was highly recommended and I was not disappointed. Friendly staff, family run. Very clean and modern decor. Not overpriced good size portions. Vegetarian options: Most dishes have vegetarian options.
The food is consistently great - real pieces of meat, not bread with a tiny scrap like most. Service is always excellent. Friends, attentive and fast. Atmosphere is quiet, unhurried and welcoming. A real favorite for anyone Ive brought or sent there.
A personal and a family favourite. Must visit for authentic & finger licking Chinese food.
A highly disappointing meal and certainly feeling scammed after this experience. Their meat products are skimpy and without quality in portion or preparation. Far too much celery as a filler, which is shameful. Of all the items I ve ordered, barely any carrots, not even onions were found; canned mushrooms??? Really upsetting, considering they re charging you good money. The final burn was the so-called Spring Rolls being filled only with bean sprouts. Here s what I ordered: 1. Cantonese Chow Main, which had scarcely any shrimps, no squid, some pieces of corn and full of celery. The noodles were drowned in a starch slurry not even a proper sauce $18.95 2. Beef with Broccoli, which had more broccoli than meat. All drowned in water, so it was soggy. No garlic. Not even ginger. $16.95 3. Chicken fried rice but hardly any chicken in it. Tons of rice. $11.95 4. Sweet and Sour Ribs, which aren t even ribs. They re deep-fried breaded bones I was told they re Spareribs, but that was a lie. All of which were drowned in your typical sweet red sauce. $11.50 5. Mixed Vegetables which contained more celery than anything, some snap peas and a few pieces of corn and broccoli. $11.50 6. Spring rolls that weren t even filled with anything other than bean sprouts the audacity to charge $2.75 per piece. All in all, I will never order from this place again. Absolutely absurd.
This is a great restaurant! Our server is amazing! He is very attentive and friendly! He goes above and beyond to see that we have everything we need. Love it
Horrible meal. Every dish we ordered came with dry overcooked meat. Eggs in the Egg foo young were GRAY.
Met up with 4 family members I hadnt seen in a few years. Great food.
A beautiful, clean, and cozy place. The staff are courteous and welcoming. It has a small fish pond with green plants around it in the middle with orange fishes. The restrooms are clean. Vast free parking lot.
I ve been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and it s never disappointed me until now. I ordered the fried rice and cantanese Chowmein to go. It wasn t till I was half way through the meal did I notice there was a large bug in the rice. It was disgusting beyond belief. Unfortunately I will not be coming back to this restaurant which is disappointing as it was one of my favourites
went to check this place out due to being around the area for the first time after ordering take out i asked the gentlemen if it was okay to sit and eat he then got very rude and told me i can t sit and eat if i wanna sit in here i need to pay more? granted i just paid for my whole two meals and drinks, very disappointing, wont be returning
Nostalgic old style Canadian-Cantonese food
We have ordered from here quite a few times and are always happy with the quality and taste of the items. Today, however, was my first time actually going inside to pick up our order and I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant . Our order was correct and the quality and quantity of food was also good. The gentleman at the counter was very friendly and fast with our order when I picked up. I like the fact that they have a koi fish pond at the entrance as this is always a hit with kids. Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options available at this restaurant. They include vegetables, noodles, and tofu. Parking: The restaurant is located in a plaza at Kingston road and rougemont in Pickering with lots of free parking available.
This restaurant gives: 1 Good food with generous portions 2 Real tablecloths and cloth napkins 3 Fine dining experience with good, attentive service from Ken, our waiter 4 Clean dining room and washroom Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options in the menu Parking: Free parking is ample Wheelchair accessibility: Though the door is not automatically operated, there is a ramp from handicap parking at the front. When inside, theres ample room for wheelchair.
Sadly I have to change my previously great review from many years ago to a not so good. After getting takeout yesterday (after about a year because we moved), I was extremely disappointed in the decline of quality. I have been going here for at least 20 years and have never had a complaint about the food. Although the service was great I could tell the quality of the ingredients and taste have declined while prices stay quite high. So very disappointed.
My family and I have been coming here (or picking up take out) for as long as I can remember. It s been our go to for Chinese my whole life! The dishes have always been plentiful and delicious. I ve never left hungry or unsatisfied. The Cantonese chow mien is the best- both spring and egg rolls are amazing! Service is always good too.
Great food and service. I have been going here for over 20 years
Was a favorite until last visited wife got bug in her rice.
I have been eating here ever since I was 3 years old. Im 14 years old now. The food is as good now as it was 10 years ago.
Quality Chinese food, friendly staff
Mmmmmm
It was ok. Not what I remember though.
Always a pleasure coming to dine here. Service is always exceptional and the food is excellent
As Pickerings only dine-in Chinese restaurant, it offers fresh, authentic Asian food at reasonable prices. Everything was tasty and the servings generous.
Rude service.
The Sunday Dim Sum here beats any Brunch experience. Amazing fresh food and several tasty options. The manager Vincent is another reason we keep coming. We look forward to Sundays at Paul Wongs!
Paul Wongs is one of a kind. Their food Is delicious...no complaints. Always consistent. Owners are great people. Have been going there for years. Good quality food
Instant 1 star for forgetting 5 bowls of white rice I ordered. The dishes more expensive than the other restaurants in Durham which i had higher expectations. The prices do not justify the quality I received. The DUCK taste frozen no flavour. The shrimps taste like they came out boiled no flavour. I do not recommend. The Chinese food in Oshawa center is way better than this restaurant. truly disappointed
We recently had the pleasure of dining at Paul Wongs for dinner. We ordered a variety of dishes and everything was delicious. Our server could have been a little more attentive, but his friendly personality made up for it.
Amazing Chinese food. Owner is super friendly. This place is hidden gem in pickering. Food quality is superb.
Found a bug in the dish, called the waiter over and he claimed that it s a flying bug and it just flew in the dish, but the bug is obviously flat and covered in sauces So it def should be from the kitchen.
Food taste is not good. Not worth for the money. I don t suggest this place for Hakka
Just finished my meal here. My absolute favourite Chinese Food restaurant. Been coming here since we moved to Pickering in 1998. I can t get away from the Number 4 Combo! Hot beef with almonds and vegetables, sweet and sour chicken balls, chicken fried rice and an egg roll. Tons of hot, tasty food! Great service from Vincent. Well worth the drive from Port Perry! Highly highly recommend Paul Wongs!
Awesome
Good food, lots of food in the plate.
Love the food wonderful staff
Our fave Chinese place. Ordered Uber eats 4 people. It was especially good last night Hot and so fresh. Bobo balls, green chicken curry, Sechuan beef and egg rolls. Leftovers for lunch. 120$ with hefty tip. Paid the direct delivery fee.
This chinese restaurant suck chili chicken does not taste like chili chicken fried rice tastes hard rice it is garbage. This is my first and last time never again in my life
Everything was made extremely well, and quickly. Highly recommend, my new fav.
Dietary restrictions: Have catered to all of our dietary issue.
The owner recommended a new noodle dish, sweet chili noodle, peppercorn steak and of course we had to get sweet and sour chicken balls which never disappoints. The food was oh so good. Must try
Not what it used to be foodwise
Vincent is an excellent host and server ! The food is tasteful and fresh and good quality! Highly recommend Paul Wong Fine Chinese food !!
Delicious old school Chinese
Been going there for years, a family favourite
Food is great. Service is always over the top. Not many places like this left.
Easily some of the best Chinese in Ontario. This team stayed strong and survived covid shutdowns and not once was quality or service impacted. Always fresh, super fast service and the staff are absolutely top notch. Our Chinese food staple in Pickering! Highly highly recommend this place!
Bad food, uncooked. Don t go to this place.
Been coming here since I was a kid. The food is always great! Always! Never had a bad meal here in over 25yrs. The restaurant itself is nice and clean inside, the staff is friendly and the service is good as well! The food is quite pricey though, with an average dinner costing about 100$ for my family and thats 3 ppl eating. Its worth it if you are in the mood for some good Chinese food on occasion! I would definitely recommend!!
On the weekend we had a little party to celebrate end of school semester and ordered Paul Wongs. The food arrived on time, hot, and delicious! Everyone enjoyed all the dishes which included chicken balls, lemon chicken, beef with broccoli, chicken chow mein, egg roll, chicken fried rice, rice side, fortune cookies and more. Thank you, we will definitely order Paul Wongs again!
Really fantastic food. Large pieces of chicken, super yummy and saucey. Planning on ordering again tomorrow
Always great good food
Very good food and fresh my choice of Chinese food
Great food!
Very organized
Been going to this place for a few years. Theyve never disappointed when it comes to their quality of food, and their service for pick up or delivery has only ever been friendly and efficient. Only negative is that the portions could be slightly bigger for some of their dishes (but not enough to not give 5 stars). Would definitely recommend if you havent tried them yet!
Ive been eating here for the 30+ years its been open. My review was a 5 star but after my 3 last experiences its dropped down to a 2. Not sure what has changed but the food quality has went down hill New owners? New chef? Not sure. What I am sure of is yesterday was my last meal here. It was a good run.
Weve been ordering from here for like 20 years and its our favourite! Great food, great service and the delivery drivers are always so nice too!
Always great food and service never have had a bad experience .
Rice isnt the best chicken balls and sauce are not bad veggies were good. Wont be returning
The bees knees in Pickering
They gave us free spring rolls! Food was good and the owner was so friendly!
The food was pretty good overall, good tofu. One big issue - asked for no egg in fried rice and it had egg in it. Could be an issue for vegans or people with allergies.
Service was fast and food was hot but you get way more rice than the protein. My friend ordered vegetarian but still ended up having chicken in the fried rice, be careful if you got allergies.
Authentic, incredible Chinese food. Best by far outside of Toronto.
Cant count how many times Ive ordered from here and I have never once received an order with an error. Even on Christmas eve or New Years eve or whatever when the lobby of this place is packed like a night club, the order is 100% correct. Congrats on taking pride in this, it is not common. Beyond this, the food is amazing. I would say it has gotten worse since about 2005ish (maybe there are new cooks), but it is still good enough to warrant 5 stars. I wish it was still 2005 quality, and maybe PW can get it back to that, but even if they dont, this place is still miles above any similar Canadianized Chinese cuisine. I recommend this place to anyone who will listen and everyone who goes thanks me profusely for introducing them to this place. And the fish in the lobby are a big hit with the kids. Keep up the great work, your food is outstanding!
Used to be very very good. Been going down hill for sometime now. Been going to Paul Wongs for approximately 30 years and would travel the distance for good food but I wont anymore. Very
Yet to try you out, for the prices I hope its a good quantity and taste
Served undercooked squid
Chicken noodle soup and chili tofu were good, stuff shrimp was fine..
Ordered Sept 28 at 833 pm delivered 84 pm0 cost 44.02 Greasy three times fried egg rolls yuk .Good pork dunmplins ,greasy won tons too greasy, chicken szecuan too sweet looked pork NO RICE Most meal ended in garbage. Poor quality I was told you were a good restaurant .Sorry to say no I live in South Rosebabk so hoped you would have been good quality
One of the best places for western chinese food in pickering
Chicken Fried rice tàsted same as 2 years ago. Great
Great good and amazing service
It s good. But not as good as it once was. Would love to see PW pick it up and earn the fifth star back from me. One thing that hasn t changed is the order accuracy. 15+ years and I have yet to ever receive a wrong item in my order.
Was really disappointed with our food, it pretty much didnt taste like anything. Not much flavor at all, and pricey. With what we paid we certainly expected much better.
Food was dry, flavourless and small in quantity.
Unbelievable experience. The staff was so wonderful at handling our special requests due to dietary restrictions. Food was fresh and delicious across the board. We will definitely be ordering again.
Staff 10/10 Food 5/10 Many love this place Tried it a few times wanted to love this place. Taste is not authentic to me Comparing to Chinese restaurants on Spadina yea this place doesn t taste like Chinese food more like watered down Chinese food pretty bland Still on the hunt for authentic tasting Chinese food in Durham.
Best in Pickering! New years tradition.
Only ok. Long wait for food. Food wasnt that hot and a lot of sauce on items.
Wonderful place to have a good meal
Would have got more stars but no more Vancouver Ribs
Terrific.
Small restaurant with steeting for probably around 50-60 people. Service was good as was the food. Pricing was reasonable.
We enjoy the food and like the staff
Lovely mixed veg and tofu dish!
Always great food.
This place used to be awesome and I know people who travel far and wide to come to get their fix. I ordered a staple last night. Chicken Ho Fun in black bean sauce. Firstly, they didnt even use Ho Fun noodles they used vermicelli style noodles and secondly they didnt stir fry the noodles. They just boiled them and dumped a little sauce over the noodles. There is a good portion of the noodles that arent even covered. I hope they get back to glory days.
Good food and service
The food was very good, but it is on the pricer side for chinese take-out. I enjoyed it though, not overly greasy and good portions. Definitely on the pricer side.
Hidden gem for authentic American chinese food in pickering.
Good food, and 15 percent discount for using cash, I like them especially cause they always know its me calling and the broccoli beef and general Tao are amazing
It was my 1st time ordering from Paul Wong s today. I ordered the traditional beef ho fun noodles. I have been looking for the closest thing to authentic Chinese food in Pickering & was hoping to have found it but I was abit disappointed. The traditional noodles were not traditional at all. Ho fun noodles are supposed to be big, fat, flat rice noodles. The noodles I got were skinny & flat & the sauce was not up to par at all. I guess moving here from the city where there s so many amazing Chinese food places, I can t expect the best. It s too bad cuz I really wanted to try their dim sum but I think I ll just stick to venturing out to Richmond Hill where they never disappoint.
Always Good .. Like the new Floors and seats... Missing Stella and Ken... Cheers
Love this place! The food is cooked to perfection, the staff is pleasant, and the prices are good.
Customer service sucks.
Best chicken balls
Good food and friendly staff
I enjoy PAUL WONG Chinese Food. I ordered 3 different Chinese dishes for delivery. There could be more rice for the price I pay. Otherwise the food always excellent!
Eating at Paul Wongs is like playing Russian roulette
Best Chinese food in Ontario..if you havent already, you should try this place...best food, best service...call ahead option is A1 as they keep your previous orders and know you and what you want...
We had 2 single meals to go. The quality was not great.
Visited this place twice so far and enjoyed it both times.
Paul Wongs was by far the best Chinese food take out restaurant in Durham. Now it obviously has new owners, because it no longer has that status. Thank you Paul Wongs, it was a great run for many years. Will not be ordering from here anymore.
Food is great and the staff and amazing but a little pricier than other restaurants offering similar food.
Great food lov the staff
Excellent dining room and Best Chinese food in town.
Best Soo Guy anywhere. Nobody makes it like Paul Wongs. And the sizzling beef is delicious
My fiancé & I just had dinner at Paul Wong s for the first time. What a hidden gem! The meal was delicious, restaurant clean and customer service impeccable. Our waitress Stella was stellar! We will definately be back!
Great value in a dinning room setting.
No good food, rice is hard such as not complete, will not come again and will post every body
Great food but overly pricey
I must say, after having lunch and dinner here, youre better off waiting for the dinner. Lunch was served as of it was rushed, no tatste to the chicken and vegetables and the fried rice was just soy sauce. I expected way better.
Love the chicken balls. Lots of meat. Very tasty and decent price.
