I recently dined Manasalwa Halal Pickering Restaurant and I must say, the quality of their karhai was exceptional. The flavors were authentic and the spices were perfectly balanced. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection. Overall, a delightful experience that I would highly recommend to anyone craving delicious Pakistani cuisine.

Salad was wilting and rotting and after taking money for an item thru app sub par and wrong and cheaper items were sent Do not religiously shame me. You know what you did. I called 3 times, you dont pick up. Uber says with your restaurant there are no refunds . I dont think its a coincidence. Perhaps there is a high occurrence of wrong or no items sent? Original review: Do not order or give them business. I expect a better service with places that keep halal because they have a promise to keep with divine. I have been sick this Ramadan and I am a sole earning parent with no one in Canada. Ordered thru Uber and they didnt sent one item and sent plain Naan when I ordered stuffed potato Naans. I hope the little money you made from a sick mother in Ramadan trying to feed her daughter was worth the dishonesty. I have called and surprise: they dont pick up. And they some kind of understanding to not offer refunds thru uber? I dont think its a coincidence. The chickpeas are hard. The fish was too salty to eat thrown on rotting salad and spinach is cut as fodder for animals. I pray your underhanded business ways catch up to you Ameen.

I am forced to change my rating for Mana Salwa, and I am keeping my old review just to keep it in perspective... I ordered food last night, Chicken Karahi and Chicken Jhalfrezi, boneless - in the restaurant as well as in the website (the screen inside of the store showed this price, so was the website as I first checked the price), it shows the price is 13.99 each, the lady charged 14.99 illegally, unethically... Chicken Karahi had so much extra salt that it was thrown away to waste (I did try to give you a call but it was 10PM, I ordered around 8.30PM), in my 8years in Canada I have never tasted that kind of awful taste, it could give anyone heart attack and those 4 naan? Even walmart packaged naans are better than those.... Well, I am forced to break our 7 years relationship.... Also, Ramadan is not an excuse, even in Saudi Arabia, Ramadan never impacted any taste difference, I particularly ordered late so that I can eat it after breaking the fasting.... So, please dont put Ramadan as a religious excuse in Canada... There are so many better places around Pickering and Ajax, Mana Salws will be in history soon! ---------------------------------------- My 3.5years old 5 star review: The only problem with this place is that they mix something very special into their food to make you feel option-less for the future .... I dont see any competition for them, I drove 10kms to get the best desi food today, I am feeling proud of my decision.... Absolute garbage food. Ordered chicken kebab Paratta wrap - full of lettuce tasteless. Also ordered veil biriyani full of bone pieces and more rice. Very salty and tasteless. There are better restaurants in Pickering serving biriyani. Never buying from here again.

Food was phenomenal! You can taste the fresh quality ingredients in the dishes especially the oils they use, that s what usually gives it away if a restaurant is just reheating old supply. This place makes they re curries made to order which is really nice! Naan was amazing so soft, mutton curry was exceptional went soo well with both the briyani rice and naan. Butter chicken was also very flavourful perfect blend of creamy buttery and spice! Highly recommend!

I had a veal biryani and was so salted and had no taste in it. Bad experience

very small meat to rice portions. ordered the large nehari boneless ($17) and was only given two small pieces of beef. ordered the mutton biryani ($18) and only received 4 small pieces of mutton, 1 of which was just a piece of bone. overall no complaints with the taste of both. just very small portions for what i paid for and expected based on the labeled size.

This place is a hidden gem. With the way things are these days this place feels like its almost free. I was surprised at the amount of food we got in the platter for two. And at the end to find out that it even included drinks, two whole naans. All for $25.99 My wife and I stuffed ourselves. There was so much meat. My wife doesnt have a great appetite but I can eat like a monster. And there was so much food left over. It came with a lot of rice, salad and Yogurt dip. By far in January of 2024 this is the lowest price I have paid for so much food. Also, the Kashmiri Tea was only $2.99. The food was very enjoyable. The meat was tender and juicy. I am not usually a big fan of Chicken Seekh Kababs. But these were some of the best Ive ever had. These guys should get more business. My wife happened to stumble across this place on the internet, and we took a chance. But we will definitely be coming back and spreading the word. We just stumbled upon this place and boy did we luck out! The food was fresh and flavorful, the customer service was phenomenal and to top it all of, the price was unbelievable in this day and age of soaring food prices. We got the platter for 2 which had a great variety of chicken and kabab, but also came with naan and spicy Biryani rice. We ate to our fill and came home with leftovers. The Kashmiri chai was also a nice treat on a cold winters day. If the owners invested in some much needed renovations, this place would be even more phenomenal. But until then, Im happy to go back there anytime for takeout or a quick bite to eat. Danyaal was so pleasant and helpful. Its a family owned business and they donate their tips to charity. Spread the word! This place is a hidden gem and has the potential to be much more! Highly recommended.

My husband and I have lived in Pickering for 10 years and I have to say, I wish we had discovered this place years ago. We just recently ordered from Mana Salwa about a week ago and the food that we ordered was DELICIOUS! The amount that we got was very much worth the price and we will 100% be ordering from them again.

Bought a tray chicken biryani from them on a Thursday night and placed it in the fridge shortly after to be eaten on Friday. After taking the biryani out in the morning, by Friday late afternoon the biryani smelled horrible and we had to throw out nearly the entire tray. The explanation given was that their biryani is not meant to last more than a day even after we refrigerated it and that it should all be eaten right away.. Refused to give a refund.

Well,I had tried many times lahori channa bathura and veggie samosa which are really amazing as well as staff are also fantastic. I suggest to all to come onces and try your favourite dishes

Went to Mana Salva for the 1st time. It was recommended to me by a friend. Small restaurant mostly take out but a couple of people can also sit and eat. I had the BEST Butter Chicken wrap. We also ordered the platter for 2 and got to try Tandoori Chicken, chicken Seekh Kabab and Tikka Chicken. Oh my, the food was delicious, juicy and amazingly tasty. Its very reasonable too. Loved every single thing. We also ordered some take out and desserts. Cant wait to eat for dinner. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed with their service. I ordered a side, an appetizer and a platter for 2 through Ubereats. To my surprise I received only the side. I called the restaurant right away. They could not provide any solution and advised me to talk to the owner in the afternoon. Will never order again.

Always go here for Chaat papri , this time I got 3 chaat, veal qorma and veal Biryani Food was average curry wasnt fresh Rice they used for Biryani sella Rice . Doesnt taste like Biryani. Oh I ordered Jalaibi and Barfi too. But he forgot to pack in the bag.

Ordered over the phone just one mutton biryani and one chicken biryani. Order taker even didn t care to ask if it is boneless or with bone and just told me half an hour. I should have been alerted by this time but the reviews i saw were great, i dont know if these people have even tasted plain basmati steamed rice in their lives. This biryani is not biryani i have 20 years of experience in hotel industry and i know they used tandoori chicken leftover pieces, sela rice and some sort of gravy. But the way the guy told me that it will take another 7 mins when i came to pick up and other talks with other customers seems like professional. But i have to steam those biryanis for freakin more than half an hour even then they were not up-to the mark but at least edible. I will not suggest this place for anything, coz if u cannot cook rice properly then u cannot cook anything. Very bad that people in durham region dont know what is biryani and start selling it.

We found this place by accident and glad we did. Service was excellent. The gent at the front was super helpful and friendly. We had the tandoori wraps and they were delicious. We made the mistake of eating them in the car as they were quite messy but it was worth wearing some of the food while getting to eat the rest.

Their Channa chaat papri is amazing and the samosas are fried fresh. Daniyal is amazing.

Mana Salwa is a hidden gem in Pickering! Not a fancy outlet, but the food is fantastic and so is the customer service - and what matters. Food is always fresh and the price and the quantity are just perfect. The butter chicken is one of the best Ive had in GTA. The Chicken Biryani is unique and has a nice spice to it! And not to forget they are open to make adjust spice and oil levels. Weve tried a few things and are going about ordering and trying everything one by one on the menu! It is always a pleasure to pick up food as you feel welcomed and promptly attended to.

Tasty food but please keep your time promised for pick up. Ordered 2 items and he promise was 45 minutes but needed up waiting another 30 mins. The guy told me few mins and all along while waiting same story to everyone who came for pick up. Anyone ordering, please order way ahead and they are really slow especially on weekends.

I ordered Chana chaat and bun kabob from Mana Salwa..and OH MY GOD......the flavors were just AMAZING!!!! The were both soo delicious and fresh!! just like how they make it backhome. Just ordered from here an hour ago. Ordered my several dishes with their Naan. Its clearly evident that they had reheated an old Naan and charged $1.75 for something inedible. Pathetic to even try and get away with that.

Ordered through uber eats, though large order..took little longer than stated. Other persons tried mutton briyani -stated was ok. Tried butter chicken, tikka massala and tandoori chicksn. Naans were good size and tasty- aloo/garlic/plain. Edit*ordered once again- to refer other persons..mutton briyani was ok as well. Personally,if able to order again will enjoy the palak oanner and naan

Just wanted make sure this place is recognized for the outstanding food they catered for me. Ordered 2 platters for 10 and a butter chicken tray for a party and food was awesome! Special thanks to the 2 gents who served me. Food was delicious and plentiful. Please dont change! One suggestion would be to keep the salad separately in case people need to reheat food at home. Great service! Food was good too. Love the samosas, very fresh and not at all oily like most other places. We had the beef samosas which was excellent. Parking is not the best due to several other businesses in the plaza.

Avoid this place at all costs!! They 100% use other people s photos on uber eats and photos are misleading. The naan is stale or it s reheated frozen naan, it s stiff and tastes like cardboard (photo attached). The samosas are also not fresh and this is obvious due to lack of bubbles you get in the crust, when a samosa is fried (photo attached). The butter chicken has a thick layer of oil on the top and is not tasty. EDIT : IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER RESPONSE: I am attaching the photo from Uber Eats where the 12 pc Samosa visibly has the bubbles and looks nothing like what we ordered. As for the naan, I will also attach a photo from Uber Eats where the naan I got looks nothing like the photo I attached. We certainly did not eat majority of the butter chicken. The butter chicken was placed on plates and then thrown out because of the pools of oil. We ordered two butter chickens and the second was thrown out unopened. I routinely order butter chicken from various restaurants, I am also Punjabi and never have I ever seen the butter separate and curdle like this.

Arrived at the store, dealt with a great customer service. The cashier was very polite and easy to deal with. I ordered chicken biryani and samosas. The food was ready in almost no time. The quality of the biryani was excellent: freshly topped off with herbs, and chicken was tender. The samosas were hot and fresh, the crust was crispy and the potato filling was delicious. Overall a great experience and will be returning soon.

We were in the area and devices to try those place. Customer service was excellent. We ordered the chana bathura, chicken biryani, and the veggie samosas. Everything was good quality, generous portions, full of flavour. The chana bathura was one of the best Ive tried and served fresh!

Prices are very reasonable and food quality and taste is good. A typical mom n pop desi restaurant, they carry good variety of items including breakfast and mithaie( indian dessert).

We did takeout for samosas, Kashmiri chai and Mithai. The samosas were fried freshly and flavourful great spice and they give good sauces. Kashmiri chai was also great piping hot really recommend. We came back the next day for the same order. Don t get the Mithai was really bad not fresh at all (kalakand, pista burfi and plain burfi).

First time going. Ordered before hand ofcourse and picked up in 35-40 min.. take out butter chicken , garlic naan , chana with bhatura bread, wrap and chicken biryani and some sweets. Filling food , great price , perfect amount of food. Everything was very tasty, fresh and filling..but for me chicken paratha wrap was best going back again definitely. One of my top fav now in Pickering/Ajax .

Fresh delicious food

Being raised in canada traditional south asian food was never one to water my mouth, honestly wasnt expecting much. Me and my friends were looking for a place to eat and we found this place .We ordered in the car on the way to the restaurant, and when we arrived the food was ready for us. The service was quick and that was surprising as good service is scarce during this pandemic. The food protions were a steal at the prices . The cheap prices didnt lead to bad taste either, the food was amazing, the only thing that we missed was the dining-in expirience

Agree with another user, food lacks salt. I ordered the veggie pakora and samosas, both items lacked flavour. Mint and red chutney also lacked flavor, very watered down. 3 stars only because the food was piping hot even though it took me 1 hr to recieve through door dash.

Would definitely recommend these guys for catering! We had an order of Chicken Pulao, Butter Chicken and Mango Delight which was all relished fondly by our guests. We were a bit skeptical at first, because theyre fairly new and it was our first time to order from them for such a big group. But it exceeded expectations as it was cooked perfectly as per our request regarding less oil and medium spicy. Daniyal was very polite, kind and accommodating towards our order details. The food was ready exactly at the time that we ordered for, and the quantity was perfect. The packing was really well done and nothing was spilled. Worse Biriyani I ever had. Just plain rice mixed with chicken curry! Well thank you for your reply. Yes I did asked you extra gravy. Problem is not extra gravy problem is rice has no flavor just white rice. I thought rice should cooked with chicken not plain rice call my buriyani. Really sorry to be pain its my opinion. ALSO I FOUND STONE IN THERE ! THATS MAIN REASON FOR ONE STAR. GOOD LUCK

Delicious food introduced to me by a friend. This is the Chana Bhatura, the bread is very soft that we tear apart and eat with the curried chickpeas along with the other stuff. Very delicious and big portions, I couldnt finish all of mine so I had to get it to go. The young man behind the counter is very kind and provides good service.

Bun Kabab - Amazing, reminds me of street food in karachi. Chicken Biryani - OMG tasted great, like karachi ki daigee biryani Chicken Malai Boti - mouthwatering and just right Chaat papri - sizzle your tastebuds to their peak and experience the flavor in every bite. Butter chicken - my kids just love it even my 4 year old. Gulab Jamun - this Gulab Jamun trumps even Alkaram. Tea - oh god I loved the cardamom in the tea.
