Zeera has been providing the finest Indian cuisine in Durham for the past eleven years. At Zeera, we have created a menu of both classic and contemporary Indian dishes that use spices more subtly than often found in Indian cooking.
Some of the best butter chicken I've ever had! Regularly get takeout here. Fresh, fast, delicious 👍
I would give it minus if possible. Ordered 2 dishes. They were super spicy and no taste. Don't visit this place for even trying out and spoil your time or mood.
Zeera by the Bay used to be so good back in the day, but we were disappointed with this last takeout. The butter chicken sauce tasted watered down, the saag paneer didn’t have much flavour, and the garlic naan was tough. The rice side dish was by far the tastiest option followed by the zeera special chicken dish. I wouldn’t rush to order from here again.
The service was friendly and quick. The food was delicious and fresh. It was very authentic cuisine. The place looks "run down" from the outside but it's charming on the inside. A must try!
The food here is delicious to start with. The staff and the service is friendly and will cater to your needs. I definitely recommend this restaurant and It is now my go to place for indian food!
Worst food I’ve ever had. I ordered Paneer Makhani and the chef literally dipped paneer in tomato puree. No spices, no taste. If they had put paneer in pasta sauce that would have been better than this. Samosa was literally swimming in oil.
It was an accidental choice to eat here but it became a perfect choice, The menu is rich and has a lot of recipes to select your meal. Yes, definitely we are coming back.
Not all India foods are created equal, in my opinion. We are very selective about where we dine, and Zeera by the Bay is high on our list. The freshess of the food is amazing; one can taste the unique spices and herbs. Our go-to is the Zeera Special Grilled Platter with sides of mixed vegetables and garlic Naan 😋 👌 We also love the Samosas with tamarind or yogurt mint sauce. You can taste each piece of potatoes and veggies. YUMMY
Waitress was not in mood to serve, portions were small, atmosphere was okay. First and last experience
Worst food I ever tasted. Their soya chaap is so bad it tastes like it was dipped in water and then just barbecued. No flavor no aroma just plain chunks of surface burnt and undercooked from within chap. Would not recommend.
The worst butter chicken i have ordered so far. Looks like the chef got confused in making a dessert or the chicken. Too sweet
We used to enjoy Zeeras, although the last few times the food has been too spicy and not enjoyable. Butter chicken should be flavourful not spicy
I do not live in this area but never going to order from here ever again. Okra do pyaza was in the initial stage of going bad. Naan was partially uncooked. I have a 2.5yr old luckily I did not feed him this food. Kofta was ok not great. Seeing the reviews being so bad should have never ordered from here.
Bad food really bad customer service
My go to take out place, I get it almost every weekend. The butter chicken is amazing perfect about of spice. Naan bread always fresh to order it is amazing. I cannot recommend it more!
I hope i could give them 0 star female manager was so rude and disrespected my wife. I hope authorities will take action against her.
My friend and I ate here and we both had terrible food possibly. We had diarrhea and vomiting the next day. My friend literally had to call 911 to their home because it was that bad. This is the only food we had together, so we know its 100% this restaurant. Not worth the risk. Im urging all friends and colleagues who live and work in the area to avoid this at all costs. So many other great spots you can go for lunch.
The portion was too small for the price.
Disgusting taste i order fish pakora they were so bad and quantity was not enough. Never ordering again from here
I got a cockroach in butter chicken once when ordered through Uber. And staff is rude and shows attitude.
Bought appetizers (Pakoras) and they were too salty, and also werent fresh .. wish I had a better review but wont recommend pakoras for sure!
Vegetarian options: Worst restaurant ever I visited very rude
Very bad service , they don t even let you think what to order! The man and lady was very very disrespectful and rude. Don t ever go here.
2023/05/22 - hasnt changed ..... This place is AMAZING ..... food & service. Great atmosphere and food! Food : 5/5
The service and atmosphere were really good.. Food was okay
Been going to this place since 2 years but the last 2 times I went recently, had the terrible experience with the server. She was so rude and inappropriate. The food quality has drastically deteriorated. I had guest with me and felt so embarrased as the way she was treating/talking to us. The owner needs to do better if you want customers to come there. These kind of people cannot be employed as a waitress
Great fish tikka. Would have again. The special roti should be skipped it was not good but the service made up for it. Very lovely older lady served me quickly. Order ahead is better as it takes long. I would try garlic naan next time and cant go wrong with tandoori.
We came here after hearing reviews from DRE. The food was okay. The quantity was a little less but was appropriate for the price, given the inflation. The service was the worst in my experience. We felt ignored. We waited so long for our bill. There were only 4-5 tables occupied. For left over, she gave only 1 container for rice and 2 curries. When asked for more containers, she gave 1 container for 2 curries. I asked for plastic bag to carry everything, and she said they have none. They had take out orders with plastic bags, so flat out lying. Tea was not good at all. Not sorry for tipping less than 10%. never coming back Vegetarian options: We had paneer tikka and malai kofta
Food was good, bar service is basic at best. Bar prices are very fair. If you ask for spicy, you WILL get spicy. Best dish is the beef. Great patio for a large group.
Very tasty curries. Delicious rice pilao.
Ordered the butter chicken and chicken pakora last night through skip... Butter chicken was decent but I could break windows with the hard inedible chicken pakora pieces...so disappointed
Food was good, rice costs extra and the place was dead
My family really wanted to like this place but it was a HUGE letdown! The quality of their meat was low and whatever meat they gave was burnt and tough. Portions were small, flavors were not authentic, butter chicken was almost sweet and the tandoori chicken lacked any flavor at all, the tandoori fish and chicken biryani were the only highlights. I will not be going back, there are plenty of other choices in the area.
great
Im a realtor and I often take my clients out or order food when my clients are moving. Last night I did take out from this place. I spent like $45 (Lamb curry, chicken curry, regular Roti and Garlic Naan). No value for money. Naan wasnt fresh and it was like cardboard. It was less than 10 minutes drive since I picked up the food and the Naan and Roti was already cold and dry. When we re heat the garlic naan on a pan, (1) tiny garlic pieces started to fall off, means, they would have sprinkled chopped garlic you get from the store on top of the Naans (2) barely any meat on both dishes. So, as a summary, absolutely no value for money.
I watched the owner be absolutely rude and belittling to an uber driver. No one should be treated like that. I will not be returning. Classless establishment!
Food was bad but what was worst is how the owner treated the uber delivery driver trying to find his order. The owner was so rude I was disgusted and we decided to leave. The food wasnt good and that incident pushed us to leave. Please dont support this behavior.
Tasty butter chicken
Great food but ten minutes after we received our main course the server came to our table with takeout containers and told us we needed to leave because they were closing! I m not kidding.
Owner is rude and extremely unprofessional. Food is average at best, very greasy. Would not recommend or return here
Great butter chicken and rice Fish tikka was great too Food
Loved the non vegetarian platter, we also had fish curry which was ok. Chicken Tikka masala was really good.
I loved their food, quick service and very delicious.
We ordered dinner for the first time today. We got the chicken tikka, lamb vindaloo, garlic naan, chicken biryani, plain rice, mixed appetizer and okra. Everything was really delicious and good portions. The chicken tikka was spicier than I thought it would be. That fed 6 adults and had leftovers. Im happy Pickering has a great authentic Indian restaurant. Note, they forgot to make our vindaloo as part of the order and they quickly realized and added extra appetizers and did not charge taxes on the dish. Mistakes happen, but how a company handles mistakes is what brings added value to the experience.
Unfortunately I have to drop many stars on Zeera. Zeera by the bay made me forget about Mt Everest Indian restaurant around 2011. At that time I lived just around Zeera I felt lucky to have a good Indian restaurant close on Liverpool after I left Pickering village However, something bad happened to this restaurant. During the past year and a half, I experienced some of the worst from them. That was delivery, not on premises. Twice I had to throw away the food. Extremely salty and impossible to eat. A disgrace to what this restaurant used to be :-(
This is such a good restaurant. The food is wonderful, both sitting in or taking out. I have been a repeat customer for about 5 years. It isnt very big, so its best to make a reservation.
Love the food and try to pick some up when in Pickering - nothing like this in Lindsay that I have found
The food tastes great, however the portions for everything, including their naan is ridiculously small.
Great tasting food
Not up to quality standards! We ordered a few dishes for dinner through the Uber Eats app and have to say the quality and portion size was not acceptable. They also forgot to include the garlic naan we paid $3.99 for... First off, the chicken in all the dishes was clearly not fresh, it was fiberous, flavourless and somehow dry inside even though it was cooked in sauce. It appears the dishes were left over from the lunch orders earlier in the day. Im sure the owner will reply to this review and say We never serve reheated chicken! but that would just make it even worse, as then would indicate they dont know how to cook chicken at all lol. Anyways, the tandoori chicken was... well Im not sure what it was exactly, as I couldnt recognize which part of the bird they were from! It looked like each piece was part spine, neck or something, and the flavor was suspect, smelled off, not like fresh tandoori, again likely just reheated from lunch...my girlfriend refused to take a chance of eating it. I ate it but it had the consitence of rubber/plastic almost like cartilage but it was meat, and the meat I did manage to pick off was barely edible! So I would avoid this dish for sure. The other dishes, vindaloo, saag and channa we not as flavourful as we have had elsewhere. Seemed like it hadnt been simmered long enough with the spices to create the depth that the dish was supposed to have and consistency was a little watery. Also the containers looked a lot like other containers that restaurants serve but just in slightly smaller size. I guess everyone is cutting corners because of covid. All in all we will not be ordering from here again, and advising our friends.Theres lots of other great indian restaurants to choose from in the area.
Terrible food. It was my first time ordering from this place so to be safe, I chose a couple of dishes that are really hard to get wrong. But I could not have been more mistaken. The veg biryani should not be called biryani. The veggies were half cooked - half raw! It was a desperate attempt between Mexican rice and Indian pulao, both gone wrong. The naan was so thick it wasn t cooked inside. I couldn t even get through my meal - had to throw out the food! What a waste! Awful!!
Had a date night with my wife here recently. Staff were extremely friendly and our food was fantastic. I can highly recommend it.
The food is very tasty and staff are great. Has been a restaurant I frequent since they opened.
Horrible customer service. The lady was rude and didnt care to have us. Restaurant was empty. I dont recommend this place.
Exceptional food quality and service. Happy to support this local restaurant again!
I ordered Daal mukhnee and Plain naan.. The daal was okay but the naan was a huge disappointment could not even chew and not worth $3.25 for a naan
I tried other Indian restaurants in the area and they just dont compare thus far. Im picky with my Indian cuisine coming from an area where I once had a sea of Desi restaurants around me. Zeers is now my go to. The food is savoury, reasonably priced and satisfying. With mostly gluten free options I dont need to worry about my food allergies. My food is always made promptly and served with a friendly smile.
Nepalese owned restaurant but good food quality and decent portion size, only thing was there indoor AC wasnt working so it was very suffocating. Overall good food and average service time. The server may not give you much time to place order. We ordered 4 vegetarian options with bread basket
My go-to restaurant for Indian cuisine in Pickering. Zeera chicken special, with some pulau rice and plain Naan, so good!!!
I used to order from here before, but lately the quality seems to be down. I ordered the fish Tikka as usual, and this time it was stale and tasted weird. Thats unacceptable to me.
Ordered butter chicken. Some of the chicken was fine, but I think they mixed old chicken with new because some pieces were extremely rubbery (that or they were over cooked like crazy). Their naan was good, and generous. The rubber feeling chicken really put me off, I doubt I ll order form here again.
I ordered take out and was given uncooked/ raw chicken. Called to tell them was was informed if I want to cook it some more I should throw it on my stove? The food also comes with no bread or rice that costs more.
Great flavourful, mouth watering genuine traditional Indian food! Little pricey but the food takes a lot of effort and time to make so it is understandable.
This experience is for a delivery order placed through Uber eats. Absolutely terrible food quality, was delivered burnt naan, stale sweets which were visibly spoilt and smelly on delivery. The sauce in Paneer makhni was uncooked and the meat in Lamb roganjosh was also funny tasting. We had to throw away a major portion of our order and whatever we did consume gave us food poisoning the next day. Only two items in the order Chicken tikka and Kheer were edible but definitely not as tasty as we would have expected. I am all for supporting local restaurants in these times, but please be honest and do not serve stale food to people trying to WFH, follow provincial stay at home order and trying to take advantage of food delivery for a meal once in a while. Not sure if I got unlucky with a bad portion, but just putting it out there if the restaurant has a history of doing this for delivery orders for other users to know.
Poor quality food. It used to be a nice restaurant with tasty authentic food. But recently the quality has gone down quite a bit. Burnt naan and paranthas and even the ingredients used are not upto the mark. Would not recommend going here now.
The best ever. Try anything. Beautiful restaurant and wonderful staff and delectible food. I order Zeera often.
Poor customer service! Horrible ambiance.
Most horrible experience, I ever had in Pickering. Awful customer experience stale food, sub par experience overall. No water offered, papad was served as if cooked days before and fried in a used oil. Platter was a disaster, I have never seen someone serving platter on such a small quantity. Overall terrible.
I would not even give them one star honestly. I ordered kofta s and paneer tika masala Packaging was so poor everything was spilling out and food was full of salt and turmeric. When I called the restaurant to complain about this the chef said cook at home if you know the better taste. He was rude af and disrespectful.
Great food!
Have ordered twice. Both times delicious food. First time the Laccha Parantha didnt have good consistency but second time it was perfectly made. Soya chaap was delicious with thick gravy. The grilled version of soya chaap was very tasty as well.
Always tasty food and friendly staff.
As an Indian, I wasnt really satisfied by the food here. I ordered butter chicken- which was too sweet (no flavour balance) and aloo paratha which lacked flavour altogether. Parathas or kulchas need to be spiced up a bit to give it more flavour.
The food I ordered was flavoured really well. The owner and employees at the store were helpful and friendly. This is a great local restaurant!
I have had this a few times and it is always a hit with the family. Everything weve tasted has been eaten and enjoyed, even by the picky 3 year old brat. I highly suggest ordering here. Top notch food.
Always the best Indian food, bar none! Family run, great food.
ordered through uber eats Beef Vindaloo - gravy sour like lemon and beef was tough. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE !
Excellent food
Fantastic Indian food....cuisine even. Pekoras were a bit great, but everything else was perfect. Really fresh paneer, and the vindaloo is perfectly spicy.
Ordered takeout. Enjoyed the food! Food arrived hot and fresh very tasty!
First time eating Indian and it was amazing.
Very good food and Reliable service
Garlic Naan was great, chilli paneer was rough and was in a thick gravy. Sevice was fast and great.
I ordered butter chicken & garlic naan. Naan was delicious and the butter chicken sauce was too, but the chicken in the sauce was subpar. Its clear they were using the sauce to hide some less than ideal cuts of meat, one of which even had a giant chunk of cartilage in it - how fun to bite down on! Probably wont be returning because of that :/
The food was amazing! I got paneer makhani and daal makhani. The food was perfect in terms of the spice and portion.
Great place with great people!
This place has the best quality food that you will ever eat, Service was impeccable, unforgettable experience. will recommend to all of my friends.
Great food. Fast service. Go there a few times a year.
Food was great, server was knowledgeable
Quality of food not so good. Portions are very small and the prices are ridiculous high
DISAPPOINTING Experience! Wont be back again: 1. we ordered Tandoori chicken which was awful. No meat just bones!!! 2. Tandoori chicken was served without Tong- when I requested to get Tong waiter replied USE YOUR OWN FORK TO PICKUP how rude is that !!!! never heard such a reply in ang resturaunt. 3.Also we ordered Zeera Special Chicken- there was nothing special about itand chicken pieces were not cooked. NO NO for Real Indian food lover. ZERO Hospitaliy!!!
great place for food. come by try it out. lots of options.
Wonderful lunch buffet Thursday and Friday.
Good place to eat food. I hope they improve their food quality as I wont say it as its best but overall okay to eat in here. I would suggest to improve on their taste which is very important to retain and majntain consistently but here I was not completely satisfied. Hope it gets improved.
Went there with my daughter, service was very nice, staff very polite. Food was fantastic, very fresh and tasty dishes. Definitely will go back there again. Price for the dishes are very reasonable and if you like Indian food highly recommend to gave a try.
Great place for Thursday and Friday buffet lunch. The Nepali chef is very knowledgeable and experienced jost
Cost effective and good indian taste
servers were rude, food so so. first time visited. not much positive impression.
Planning a visit soon. Hopefully the reviews are read and amends made. Constructive criticism is the best route to improvement.
Great food !!
Ordered pickup for the 1st time Food was well seasoned and tasty. Portions were a little too small for family of 4 for the price paid.
I like to get delivery from here. A good way to get a curry fix when having to be socially isolated. I have enjoyed their patio in the past. Looking forward to dining in the sun again with friends.
Super helpful when I called. Said they could accomodate no dairy. Had the food ready 15 minutes later for pickup. Absolutely delicious.
Great food and a reasonable price. Great service and very clean. Interesting brews on tap.
They offer patio dine in and take out. They have a variety of medium spicy menu.
Love coming here. So delicious!
Some of the best Indian cuisine in Pickering. High quality + great service. Amazing patio as well.
I buy for take out and cannot stop going back to buy for dinner. Its 1 km away from the bay.
Our son recommended Zeera so I placed an Uber Eats order which was delivered remarkably fast for ANY night let alone a Saturday. Excellent flavours. Try the veg pakora (order two as I did so that I will have some again the next day!...if you do order more than one, ask for extra sauce which goes beautifully with the pakora).
I love the food and I come here to eat with my parents and friends and family.
Ordered the Zerra Biryani with uber eats and unfortunately at around $15 (tax included) each I expected more. Basically the plate had 2 small pieces of chicken, 1 small piece of lamb/beef, and 1 shrimp, the rest was rice. 85% rice and 15% meat is not a good deal at this price. They had a promotion with 30% off orders over $50. I guess it looks like youre saving but youre getting less food. The food tasted great though so Im giving 2 stars.
Quality Indian food
Great tasting food...quaint location...good seating arrangements in the patio..cutlery and glassware need to be relooked at as some unwashed spots were observed on them...and portions are way smaller than the industry standard...
Great for a quick takeout of North Indian/Pakistani food. The chicken stuffed naan was good! Theres a nice patio + its a short walk to the lakefront so thats always nice.
Just basic food, not very authentic Indian taste.
Id give it 5 stars for the food but 3 stars for the price. Its pricy for what Id pay in Scarborough.
The food is not as good as expected. Packing is also not good
Food was 4/10. Felt that the kabobs were frozen and just thrown on top of an oven or something. Portion that they give compared to what they charge is a JOKE. Ive never been to an Indian/Pakistani restaurant that portions were so small and over priced. I wouldnt recommend. Oh!! They also charged $2.99 for chutney haha, Ive never got charged for chutney in my life.
We used to like the food of this place..but just today we called at 1:30 to reserve our table were asked to walk in at 2:30 when we reached we were asked to leave and not walk in. And later when we said we have already confirmed our table the staff there asked us how long will u sit here and eat for ? Is that the way you ask a customer ? Never going back to this place after this experience. Ridiculous customer service.
Overpriced for what you get. Food is good .
So, last night we went to your place considering the average rating. We ordered lamb biryani & chicken tandoori, but the taste of lamb biryani was like uncooked tomato rice. We were unable to find the spices which normally is present in Biryani. Somehow we ate that biryani thankfully they serve very less quantity. You dont have Quality or Quantity, then why we are presenting something which doesnt reflect any one of the Indian authentic Biryani. After, bad experience with biryani we thought tandoori would be nice. But a big NO!!! You had to serve again uncooked, not properly marinated chicken tandoori!! Only good part I found here that chutney.... We didnt even felt we had proper dinner. I wouldnt recommend this place at all!! Also I wanted to give -ve stars Frustrated Customer!!!!!!
If it was possible to give -ve ratings to this place would have surely done that. One can imagine ordering a biryani would be the simplest and easiest decision and no one would mess up with it.. but I was wrong to think that. Lamb biryani was awful. Wouldn t recommend trying Indian food at this place. The chef doesn t know how to cook and what Indian food tastes like! Tasteless food. Do not visit unless they have changed the chef.
Local, family run restaurant. Staff is friendly and the food is amazing! Our favourite place for Indian food! They have some great vegan options, their chana & naan are the best around! Highly recommend
Popped in for a buffet lunch. Not a lot of variety but what was there was excellent
The food at Zeera is nothing short of delicious! They were wonderful at modifying dishes to suit our diet and tastes, and the food was so good! We enjoyed the channa, dal, the pilau rice, and the garlic naan is an absolute must have! The dishes come out incredibly fast, too. We also had tikka fish, which came out sizzling, and was spectacular as well! I highly recommend Zeera!
Not good at all.
Lowkey spot, good food and decent prices
The food here is amazing and thats saying a lot for someone who has been to India before. I loved their butter chicken, probably the best Ive had in Toronto. Their buriyani was also so so good and Im not usually a big fan of buriyani. I ordered both the shrimp and chicken buriyani. The reason why Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 stars for this restaurant is because I think they can improve a little on the atmosphere and vibe of the place. And the service was average. But other than that, you have to go and try this hole-in-the-wall place in Durham!
This was my first time at this restaurant, I was attending a party. Sadly I was disappointed in the service. First of all the appetizers were cold, none of the food was labelled so did not know what the dish was. I have never been to a party where they serve you in paper plates, cups and napkins. Service was not quick food was not filled up quick enough and when I was looking for a beverage they had run out. Never experienced this before and I have been to many functions. I forgot to mention the tablecloths were also stained.
3 years later and still great tasting food. Naan and samosas to die for. We have tried many items and all have been amazing. No complaints here.
To be honest worst restaurant I ever had in my life very bad customer service, poor quality of food. I will never go there again. This is the worst experience in my life
Worst restaurant , they dont know what is chicken birayni , just mixed in some curry with one or two pieces of shredded chicken.
Best Indian in Durham! My favourite dishes are the madras chicken and the pulao rice.
Best that Pickering has to offer! You have to try the butter chicken if you have not!
The food here is incredible BUT and its a big but, the portions were already too small for whats being charged and they went and made them even smaller. Come on guys, if you keep this up youll continue to lose customers . My family *were* regulars customers, now we go elsewhere. STOP BEING SO CHEAP AND YOULL HAVE MORE BUSINESS. Thank you.
Awesome food!!!! Lunch buffet is perfect combination and variety of dishes. Cozy, warm, friendly. Love this place.
Poor wait times for delivering the food. Very small portions for the price I was paying. The waitress got our order wrong which was disappointing after waiting for our food for over 45 minutes. Overall, would not recommend to anyone.
Some of the best Indian food Ive ever had! And the naan is unreal!
Food was served fresh and hot....portions were a bit small and a pricey. But absolutely delish and flavourful!
Fantastic Curry!
Delicious butter chicken and amazing customer service ,very accommodating and kind
Nice Indian restaurant in South Pickering. Good food, pleasant staff, and easy to get to.
Such a warm friendly atmosphere. Amazing butter chicken, best Ive ever eaten!
Great foods
Was in the neighbourhood, walked in to explore the menu, staff were very friendly and willing to take the time to make recommendations. Placed an order for take out, everything I ordered was very tasty and compared in quality to other indian restaurants Ive enjoyed.
Quaint little restaurant with a nice zen vibe. The food came a bit too quickly after we ordered it, making me think it wasn t made fresh but sitting there. The food definitely has flavour and spice, but the portions are small and we felt a bit skimped out on the meat. The Zeera biryani game with one tiger shrimp only! If we re paying premium for this dish, at least throw in 2. The beef vindaloo was also punched with delicious flavour and spice, but there were maybe only 6 pieces of beef with full gravy. We had asked for medium spice for our biryani and it was definitely more than a medium spice, so be cautious when asking for spice. The Raita was delicious, no complaints there.
Nothing much on outside but enjoyed the food and nice service.
Food was okay. They have quite the space to accommodate almost 100 people. The restaurant ambience is cozy and casual. May be I expected too much for a 4 star average rating on Google. There is an all you can eat buffet and is priced reasonably. We could not get that as we arrived close to 2 pm. There is out door seating as well, if you prefer; its a nice touch compared to other Indian restaurants in GTA.
This is my very first time having a wonderful lunch with my boyfriend. I can honestly say, I have never tasted food that was so exotic, spicy, sweet and perfect. Zeera By the Bay is such an unique restaurant to go a big lunch or dinner. I highly recommend this place.
Their food is really awesome. Pure indian style.
Food here is epic!
Excellent food and service at reasonable prices. The mango salad was especially delicious. Cosy interior and a small outdoor patio on second level of plaza. Must return on a Tues or Thurs to try the buffet and sample more of their authentic Indian dishes.
The samosas are addictive but everything is delicious
Great food, lousy service
The Food was funtastic
Having grown up living in England, and on Indian food I must say that this little spot in Pickering is a real gem!! Food portions are perfect, quality & authenticity is spectacular!! I just wished we had an Indian restaurant like this in Burk s Falls!!!! Super friendly staff too!!! Highly recommend stopping here if you want something different. I had the chilli paneer, biriyani rice & garlic nan bread, outstanding!
Very underwhelmed. Weve eaten here about a half dozen times and have been happy with everything. However we wont be returning. Our curries werent filled to the top, about 80% filled. The Naan was over cooked and crunchy. The bhel Piri had missing ingredients. The Pakoras and Samosas didnt disappoint thankfully.
The food is so good and they are fast. The whole family loves going to Zeera By the Bay!
I usually give good reviews for small and big restaurants in smaller towns and help them bring in business through my YOUTUBE channel but this restaurant just didn t meet my expectations, the food is really expensive and they give you less quantity of it, they need to give customers a large amount for what they paid for, they also had oil on their bread and their bread was supposed to be regular when I purchased, the food was all right, have had better food in other places in Pickering, Whitby, Ajax Also the sweets that I purchased came into a small container and again it was less quantity then I paid for, it looked like it was left overs, if they correct this next time I go there I ll change my review
Amazing food. Kind of expensive for the amount of meat you get in a dish but great flavor. They could definitely be a little bit more generous with the meat though. You do end up with alot of delicious sauce.
Great food
The quality of their food is consistently excellent.
Great quality food very tasty. Fair prices.
My wife discovered it, or a friend took her there. Its now our favorite restaurant. Were passing it on and taking everyone there. The food is a truly varied, tasty, and fresh assortment of Indian cuisine. The service is terrific. The setting is neat and unpretentious. The price is very reasonable. Even if youre not nearby, and especially if you are, come to South Ajax to eat. This is how to do it.
Great little local neighborhood independent Indian Restaurant. Food is delicious and varied and always well prepared. Service is personal.
Masala tea is not good. Taste like having warm skim milk with masala.
Most flavourful food Ive had in ages! Amazing plant-based choices and meat dishes. Highly recommended.
Paid $67 for 35 Mediocre samosa and they charged me $5 for extra chutney. Just drive by it nah waste yah time. Overpriced and will not recommend.
Visited this restaurant for dinner on a Sunday evening and surprisingly we were the only guests throughout over time. Good customer service and the quality/taste of food was good too.
1st time to this place. Excellent food. Will definitely be back.
Extreamy rude staff. We went in today for dinner and the server was very impolite. When we asked her not to be rude she started making faces at us. As we started to walk out of the restaurant she started making us. Not sure if she is just rude and unfriendly or she is having some sort of temporary mood swing.. either case, this is the last time I am going to Zeera By the Bay..
Regular customer, always excellent food, service, fair price
hands down best indian around
