Full service All-You-Can-Eat Japanese and Thai restaurant
Food was very fresh and good quality! Service was fast. Food sizes were smaller than I remembered though.
It’s a pretty good sushi place. I loved all the rolls and it has a great selection for entrees and desserts. This is also the first all you can eat place that I went to where the tea was authentic Japanese. Totally recommend any rolls you won’t be disappointed. As a dessert I totally recommend the fried milk balls ,the mango pudding and mango ice cream as they are very creamy ! I will be coming back. The cat robot was super cool too.
I haven't tried everything on the menu. But I think it's pretty good for the area. The sushi is definitely better than some Markham and Scarborough locations. They don't cheat and pack their sushi with rice like some other places. I am surprised with the negative reviews because sushi is sushi. The only time it's bad is when you have too much rice inside the sushi more than the toppings. I personally think the Thai food had too much thick sauce that I didn't like but overall its pretty good. The people here are fast in serving food to people and I don't think its a bad thing. Including robots going in the restaurant. Was too hungry to take any photos. But the renovation is cozy. I would also consider take out from this restaurant based on my experience here dining in. I hope the quality doesn't change. Definitely will be back.
Food is so tasty, specially double salmon roll, it comes fried cheese in, and their sashimi so fresh and tasty, the service so/so, depends who is working, not all of them has gd customer service.
Our waitress was pretty rude to myself and my friend until tip time came then she was friendly and pleasant. The food was ok and you cannot do a all you can eat option at the same table as the a la carte option. The house salad was a bowl of giant lettuce leafs for 5-6$ Do not waste your money on that.
Went here for a lunch buffet. The rolls were quite tasty but any of the non-special rolls, watch out as they are massive with a lot of rice. (See pictures). The nigiri sushi was almost good; the fish was tasty but again the rice was too much and it didn’t seem like they used sushi rice. (1 fish:4 rice ratio) There wasn’t that savoury vinegary/sweet flavour that you get with sushi rice, rather just bland tasting rice. I was disappointed as I came here after reading the reviews. The tempura items also felt stale and not freshly fried as our shrimp and veggie items were more soggy. Another downside was how loud the workers were; they kept screaming at each other so for our entire time there, it was very distracting. I think there are better options like the Sushi/Maki place in Ajax where their sushi is more tasty despite having less options. I don’t recommend this place and won’t be returning. The presentation is good but the flavour is just missing at this place.
We went in 45 minuites before the last call for lunch, felt bit rushed though.. food was great. Service was ok. Accessible and we had told them our party had peanut allergy so they made the kitchen aware.
This is easily one of the best sushi places in Durham. I highly recommend coming to their dinner hours where they have more of a variety, such as torched sushi. I love their other grilled items as well, but I also feel like their dessert section could use a bit more work. They get packed really easily on certain days, but I definitely think they're worth the wait. Also, some of the menu items might not get sent to the table, but instead of reordering, just let a staff know.
Really nice place overall, but some of the food wasnt as good as expected.
Food great. Could be more customer friendly.
service was absolutely horrible . Jason has the worst attitude, acts like he doesnt wanna be there at all . Updating my review as I been here twice since my original review . I actually really like this place and the food is always amazing . I never have to wait long for a table m the service has since been better . Not too much to say other than that .
Love their sushi pizza
The waitresses were super nice food was good not great. The service was definitely amazing!
Dragon Rolls is a great restaurant and the buffet has tons of choices. The food is great and healthy. The restaurant is also kid-friendly as they have tons of booster seats. The price is reasonable (for the buffet). The service is fast and unique because of the robot however the human service is a bit lacking. Vegetarian options: Great Vegetarian options like salads and avocado rolls. Kid-friendliness: My baby sister once almost chocked on a round candy and since then they changed the candies to lollipops.
I always ordered a vegetarian party, but it was a huge disappointment today. What happened to you today, guys? The worst one my family and I ate today. This is not like earlier :(
Consistently one of the best sushi spots in Durham. They have a large selection of items available for dinner and their dessert options are always top notch
Good food, nice atmosphere, quick service, and the robot is neat. Dietary restrictions: They are mindful of dietary restrictions. All you have to do is tell your server. Food : 5/5 |
We ve been ordering from here a lot but lately the service has been horrible. A few weeks ago, they sent me the wrong order. I called in and they said they d put a credit on my account. When I went in a few weeks later, there was no record of the credit. I showed them my order history and then they said I have to get the exact same thing that was missed in order to receive it (I had already placed my order online and came in to pick up). They finally agreed to credit the amount instead of the item. I picked up my order & went home. When we got home & opened our food.. all our rolls were smushed together. I had ordered some items for my kids & requested no eel sauce + spicy mayo on the side. Our entire order came with no soy sauce, no wasabi, no spicy mayo & we got eel sauce on the side. When I called in, the guy said I can t do anything about it. My manager will call you No call back. Customer service is horrible! Service has really gone down.
Sushi is fresh and tasty. Food comes out pretty fast! The robot serving you is too cute. Price is typical for all you can eat and theres lots of seating options. Parking: Its a very busy plaza, so sometimes parking can be tricky unless youre willing to park a bit away from the doors.
Always come here whenever i can!! Love all the variety of food this place has to give. Worth the money!
Can get better quality sushi for this price point, but maki rolls were alright . Didn t go for their AYCE menu, just ordered specific rolls. Do yourself a favour and never order their beef skewers, literally just deep fried rubber, soaked in oil, absolutely disgusting. Service was decent. The place or maybe it was just my booth just had a strong smell of disinfectant/soap, kinda annoying when you re trying to eat.
The service is good here when they re not busy. The staff is nice and helpful. However, when this restaurant is busy they tend to be veryyy slow and a lot of the ordered items may not get served.
We went for the AYCE. The food was ok and service was very slow. They got our order incorrect too.
The server/staff s name was either Jordan or Jeff. He was perhaps one of the rudest staff members i have encountered at a dining place. Made zero eye contact, kind of tossed it over towards me without uttering a word. Didn t even include cutlery or napkins in the take out bag. Food was very average.
Meat was tough. Not meany options for sushi that doesnt have a bunch of extras, tea and soft drinks are included.
Ingredients are always fresh, rolls are always ready to go on time, to go orders packaged well with quick and friendly service.
Environment was average, service was average
Horrible food. Just spent $50 on bland garbage food. We had to throw most of it out. Never again
Feel disappointed of the sushi, rice is soaky, you dont need to chew and just melt into your mouth. May change the other place to order.
Def my fave sushi spot in Pickering. Green dragon roll is the best! Great service too they don t forget about you at the end like their competitors do
Great experience
Ordered two orders of cheese wontons for take out. Was only provided with one container of dipping sauce. With two orders, two containers should be provided. Service at take out counter was fine. Cheese wontons were delicious as usual but needed to provide more sauce.
Visited here last week. Told the server of our food allergies, specifically sesame seeds. The food came to us with sesame seeds on it. Will not go here again. Wasted almost $100 here which I will never see again. Dietary restrictions: They dont care about food allergies. Must be under new management.
Sushi is good. But broke a tooth on spring rolls!!!!
Bland cold food served and not sure if its the English barrier or whatever but the staff are non responsive and communication is poor. I would not rate the place bad for the non English but the food cold and with no taste is unexpected and disappointing.
Really good place for all you can eat sushi with good variety
This location is one of my favourite AYCE spots. The restaurant is very clean, especially the restrooms. Their menu has wonderful options of everything. I tend to usually come for lunch or dinner. I ve been a customer for the last 2 years and my encounters with the staff has always been lovely. I highly recommend this spot for small/large groups.
Staff was helpful, professional, efficient and friendly. Lunch all you can eat has a limited menu - no sashimi amounts other things. Chicken teriyaki was dry and tough to eat.
Friendly service, good quality fish, and tasty food. Give them a try!
Not a fan of the religious undertones in the restaurant. The Jesus Loves You stickers around do not feel appropriate in a restaurant setting. Also ended up waiting over 20 minutes longer for my take out order, with not a lot of communication from the front staff. One and done visit from me.
I want to start by saying their service was terrible. We walked in for takeout, and no one greeted us. We stood there waiting to place our order without any acknowledgment. When we finally asked if we could order, the lady had an attitude. While waiting for our order, another customers kid asked for cutlery, and the lady rudely insisted she had already given him some, even though he hadnt received any. It shouldnt be a fight to get plastic cutlery. Another customer requested an extra container, and the lady refused, even though she had given someone else a plate. When he questioned why he couldn t have one, she was rude again and said he would have to pay for it. As he turned away, the lady and other workers made faces and talked about him behind his back. Im appalled at how an establishment can be so rude and still be in business. On top of that, the sushi was terrible.
This is THE BEST tasting sushi I ve had in Durham. The service can be slightly better (I didn t get offered water for the longest time until I had to ask) the AYCE options are great and the torched items are SMOKEYYYYY
Had a great AYCE lunch here. Service and food was great for the price. Will definitely be back for the endless sashimi!
Lunch ends at 2:30 not 3 pm as advertised. We were sat at 2:33 and told last call was 2:30.
Witnessed the host being really rude and belligerent to a delivery driver. Really put me off since it didn t uphold the service industry standards. It put a very poor taste in my mouth.
Won t go back here again. We had food missing from our order and took way too long to get our food that did come. Pushed us out the door kept hiding our tablet then took our tablet from the table Food
We used to love ordering from this place, food was always fresh and tasted great. Lately it has gone way downhill. Ordered from there tonight. Got the yam tempura rolls, no wasabi in the container. The rolls were all separated and falling apart. There were little pieces of wasabi and the odd little red fish egg on some of the rolls, yet there was no wasabi or fish eggs in the container I m pretty sure my rolls came off someone else s plate. The sesame chicken was cold and looked and tasted like it has been sitting there two days. You tried to call them to tell them your order was wrong and they never answer the phone, they just don t care.
Very dirty restaurant.
Terrible customer service! The cashier was not helping me place my order, and when I was asked about the menu, she sighed and told me to find it by myself on the menu. Zero customer service. The quality of the food is not something special. You can find better quality in other restaurants. Furthermore, I had reflux from used oil, Unfortunately, quality dropped. The Terrible cashier was on Thursday evening, August 1st.
Excellent service with reasonable price.
Go here for the food! The Boston and the special roll were large and delicious. I easily got full on getting two rolls. My other favorite was the crunch.
What is Sushi without wasabi? Ordered twice and both the times there was no wasabi with the sushi that I had ordered for friends coming over inspite of informing Jordan to make sure it was there. Went to pick it up and there was no wasabii for the platter that was ordered... Terrible service..
Love this all you can eat place. The sushi is fresh, and have lots of favorites!
Asked to sit at the employee table and then denied request to be seated elsewhere even though they had an entire section of tables available. Assuming they did that so they don t have to clean the tables. Extremely rude staff, some customer service training would be useful.
Inconsistent prices. Just check their outside menu with their inside menus. But I enjoy their Tomyum soup. Healthy and not too pricey. I wish there was more light. Vegetarian options: Seems like more than the token amount. Dietary restrictions: They ask you sometimes. Parking: Can be busy but overflow is Home Depot. Kid-friendliness: Booths Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor
The food was excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was my first time at Dragon Rolls. I loved their sashimi; it felt like an entirely new experience, and their fried chicken and tempura were terrific. I would recommend it, and I would come back to this restaurant.
The wait to order was a bit long. We ordered drinks and it was looong until the waitress came to take mains. Other then that we liked it a lot!
This is perfect for small town Canadians that are not familiar with proper standards of sushi
Sushi was terrible. Tuna tasted so bad no flavour even Mac s sushi from the mall is better. Felt sick after no good.
My husband and I come here almost weekly. They know me by name and always give us wonderful service. Greater is such a lovely lady! Food
I used to really like this place. However, the quality has gone way down while the pricing has gone up. The food is really just sub par and the menu is very weak compared to other places around. The place is very dingy too. It s dark and everything is covered in cheap printouts and flyers. They pile the takeout orders by the door and really don t seem to care about cleanliness. The service is probably the worst. For one the robot with Jesus Loves You on it. Forcing religion down peoples throats when all they want is a nice meal. The robot is loud, bashes into things and inconvenient to the customer. The human service is almost as bad. If they don t bring something, they get annoyed when you ask about it and it still never comes. Also, the website says lunch pricing until 3 we showed up at 2:50 and were denied as they have subtext saying last call 2:45 so it s not until 3, it s until 2:45. Just put the right information on the site. So we drove to Makimono, got there at 2:59 and they gave us Lunch pricing. The place is way nicer and the menu is huge. Don t bother with this place.
Great Food, Great service, great experience. Keep up the good work. Robot waiters was a cool touch Vegetarian options: available Dietary restrictions: good description in menu Kid-friendliness: yes Wheelchair accessibility: yes
This place was a very pleasant surprise. I am sure we will be going back many times! Vegetarian options: There are SO many vegetarian options here that I was in heaven, and they are clearly marked on the menu (no guessing or having to wait to ask the server). In the all-you-can-eat menu, the portion of each individual dish is small, so you can honestly try almost every option as well! (And order it again and again when you love it)
the worst costumer service and food quality! they missed the sauce in our order and telling us to drive there again to pick up the sauce! they missed chopsticks and our seaweed salad! total rip off
Terrible customer service food was no bueno
I m really disappointed I was so excited to go last night I have been up since 6am this morning with food poisoning I m not happy bad pain in my stomach etc
We have been coming here since 2015. Today i am VERY disappointed with the service not only we were waiting a very long time for our food but when i made it known that i dont want something on the food they continued to disregard it and send it out anyway i am ALLERGIC TO STRAWBERRIES!!!!!! I have told MULTIPLE staff please do not include it and what did they do?! Include it!!!! We were rushed when we did finally get our food and asked multiple times to give you guys back the ipad before the 2 hour mark ended. We hardly ordered anything and were being rushed out like the restaurant was even busy there were only three other tables being served alongside us. We wait over an HOUR for the food and when getting the food we didnt even get all we got. When we got the food it was cold and stale like it was sitting out on the counter for 20 minutes before coming to the table. Do better and get better staff they are rude and unpleasant
Sushi is okay but I ve had better. What makes this place not worth going to, is their service. Rude servers and a bit racist too.. unfortunate because if the service was good I d return.
Vegetarian options: There were no vegetable options. If there was, I didnt see them. Food : 5/5
Iv been going for many years now and I love this place ... The staff are amazing and the owner is blessed.. I recommend you come and try it out for your self .... The food is always hot and fresh. 10/10 5 STARS 2 THUMBS UP AND Bella is the best .... She needs a vacation patch installed ;) Vegetarian options: Full veg menu amazing.. Dietary restrictions: You tell them and they will do their best to assist with anything Parking: Shared parking in the plaza. I never have an issue. Kid-friendliness: Very family oriented.. booster seats and child seats available Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs just a tiny bump where the door is ... Sidewalk straight to the table
We had a great AYCE dinner. The staff were super friendly and quick with our food. They made good conversation with us and our kids. Food quality was excellent, and my son loved the delivery robot!
Very disrespectful and rude service! I m very appalled as I ve been coming here for many years with my friends, family and even on my date nights but the service received today from the server Needy or however you spell her name was disgusting!! She needs to be fired because not only once or twice but three times she came over and took things off the table with out confirming with me first.
Must be under new management. Good was great. Fresh and hot. Our server Tyona was very good.
I enjoy the selection and prompt service of the all you can eat sushi and Asian options.
Always done perfectly when we order take out, they follow requests and are always polite. Havent dined in for a while but when we used to same thing applies. But now they have a serving robot . Kid-friendliness: Great atmosphere for the whole family to eat favourites or try something new.
I Visited this store today for some food takeout. I ended up waiting 15 minutes just to order and the lady in the pink coat looked like a manager today was really rude and unprofessional. She kept staring at me weirdly and was not polite at all. She needs to learn professionalism and being polite. Very disappointed with the service.
Love love love coming here! Amazing food! I m also glad the staff has stopped tossing the dishes on the table, I know it can be busy and might be rushing to get orders out but it was disruptive and comes across aggressive. Food
I wanted to give this place a 5 star. I loved the food and atmosphere. However at the end of our time, we were waiting for the bill and my friend had just picked up her 2 year old son from school nearby. He wasn t there until the end. Saw that I had a few fries left from my meal that wasn t cleaned up yet, so he reached for one and began to eat it. The waiter came right away and said he has to pay for the food. The few pieces of fries that I leftover!! We mentioned that it was only one and we were just waiting for the bill. She took the remaining basket with all the fries, took the one from his hand and I was appalled!! How could you take away food from a 2 year old child! The same fries that will go in the trash. I thought that was just nasty and so unnecessary. It s a shame, I thought I d come back but that just put a bad taste in my mouth.
Only sushi place I know around here with the robots! My kids love it, and the staff always makes sure it comes over at least once so they can interact with it. The food is pretty good. One of the better sushi places around!
Hey everyone, I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately had a not-so-great experience. The food I ordered had hair in it, which was quite disappointing. The staff didnt handle the situation well either. I hope they improve their hygiene and customer service in the future.
Food was good, atmosphere wasnt as welcoming as youd think and the servers seemed perpetually annoyed.
$28 for a plate of rice noodles (no meat) 2 tiny spring rolls. Outrageous .
Great food as always.....my go to Thai restaurant.ive been here countless times. I forgot to mention the service is terrible. But I keep going because of the meals
My friend and I visited Dragon Rolls Japanese in Pickering for dinner a week ago. From the very beginning our experience was not great. My friend got there first and came in to look for me and a server told her no looking . After we were done eating we were sitting and chatting while the restaurant was not very busy with many empty spots. A different server came twice to hint that we should leave. At this point we had been in the restaurant for about 2 hours. At the 2.5 hour mark she asked us to leave as the policy is that guests can t stay for longer than two hours. We found this to be very rude as the restaurant was half empty and we weren t preventing people from getting spots. My friend told her that we will not be returning to the restaurant and the server responded with okay . On our way out we spoke with Tweety at the front and she was very apologetic and receptive to our feedback. She asked us to send an email about our experience, which I did but never received a response. We had come from Toronto to eat here and we will not be returning again.
Good food
The servers are friendly and efficient both times Ive visited. The sushi is not tasty at all and I question whether its fresh. I thought maybe it was an off day The first time I visited but it was just as bad the second time. I would not return here for sushi.
My go to sushi place! Always fresh, generous sized portions, quick service. A must try!
You know this place is authentic because the service is terrible. The food is so good we cant stop coming back!
My family and I have been coming here since we moved to Pickering from Toronto 7 years ago. In Pickering I think it is the best AYCE option. Wide selection of food from Japanese/Chinese/Thai as well as the sushi. Drinks are included with the AYCE. Service is good. It does get busy on the weekends so once in a while there may be a small wait. Plus they have the robot server for the kids lol. Vegetarian options: Veggie dumplings, veggie sushi rolls, veggie dishes.
Missing order notes & forgetting items. The manager at front desk was not very nice. They speak Asian in front of you. Ignore you. Not the place for me not coming back.
Beautiful place, best service ever and kind waiters!! God bless the owner.
Probably my favourite sushi spot in all of durham , hands down the best rolls !
From the Jesus loves you robot server to the Christmas music playing on the speakers this place is so sick. The food is really good too but the ambiance is so worth it Vegetarian options: They have a whole section to vegetarian options
The nicest service was the robots. My friend and I ate here a couple hours ago and the service by the human beings was not good. When we were being seated the guy basically mumbled us to our seat and whenever we asked for something like a napkin we got hostile answers/treatment. Then towards the end of our 2 hour meal one of the female waiters was just standing at our table waiting for us to finish eating, it was.... uncomfortable, like we know theres a time limit. No need to stand there. Then when we payed my friend tipped but I didnt because the service was by robots and she stood there, counted out our money because we payed with cash because we saw the sign that said 10% off if you pay cash (which we didnt get by the way lol) and then said to me no tip? and then I felt pressured and tipped her even though she genuinely, no disrespect, did not deserve it. super disappointed.
Delicious sushi!. It was really busy, like always too! . Sunshine roll, spicy tuna, spicy salmon roll, seaweed salad
Dirty restaurant and horrible service. Don t bother dining in if you want to eat here. The service was horrendous. I went with my family and ordered and waited over an hour for our food, the dishes and the iPad you order on were absolutely DISGUSTING. There was wipeable dirt on the cups. Take-out orders kept coming while we waited for our food. Bags and bags of food being wheeled past while we wondered where ours were. The staff stared at us but none had the balls to come over so we waved one down and they forgot to place our order. Not only that, they laughed about it and tried to give us three tiny complimentary spring rolls that you get with online orders anyway. Horrible Horrible service.
The worst every customer service, they keep staring at you while you eating which made me feel uncomfortable!! We chose the buffet s service but they missed a lot of our orders and they didn t serve almost %50 of our orders and they started being our bill before we asking and the food was awful from A-Z! I don t recommend this place at all
I love this place! Consistently good take-out and AYCE sushi. The staff is very friendly as well!
The girl at the afternoon shift shouldn t work on costumer service industry at all. She is rude. Literally is always an issue with this girl. I ve been here a few times( the other front girl is lovely ). But I won t return anymore. She is very accusative even if servers do a mistake. I won t return again. But wait they love Jesus LOL
Last weekend was my first time there. I can t really complain much about the food quality, however their service is absolutely horrible and inexcusable. Part of my dine in order was 2 orders of California roll. Everything else my wife and I ordered came in expected time. But more than half way done our meal and still no California rolls. So I finally mention it to one of the waitresses who assured me she ll look into it. About another 15 mins pass and the 2 orders of California rolls arrive. But as if this screw up wasn t enough, on the bill they charged me for 4 orders !! Of course I recognized this , notified them, and they corrected the bill. But point is how does me enquiring about where my order is, get interpreted into adding another order to my bill. It should not matter if it was a different waitress than the one who initially took the order. Very bad service. And literally not even a goodbye have a nice day from the front desk people. I would never repeat . It s definitely fake good reviews , as none of the good reviews can offer the detail I ve just offered of my horrible experience.
I love the variety of items on the all you can eat menu. But you could leave the portions of rice and noodles smaller, this way you can give those who dont know the opportunity to try it, thus avoiding waste Vegetarian options: Mango salad, avocado salad, vegetables, noodles Parking: Parking is shared with the other stores in the plaza, so it can be difficult to find it close to the restaurant during dinner hours and on weekends. Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs and there is an accessible table
Busy atmosphere , but friendly service. Tasty food at a reasonable price.
Finally tried Dragon Rolls wish we have been coming here for a while, food selection is massive and also includes free drink(refills) which is unheard of usual AYCE places. Staffs are great and their Manager Tweetie is great! Btw food comes super fast so better pace yourself! Overall well recommended! Thank you Tweetie and staff!
Would highly recommend for all you can eat sushi. I usually go for lunch and theres multiple options and the food is really good. Prices did go up recently but everywhere has.
I discovered this place at the start of the pandemic and have been coming ever since for both dine in and takeout, so often that they know me by name. I love that their online system makes it really easy to order ahead and customize the bonus free items that come with larger orders. Recently they added a sashimi set to the ayce lunch menu which has become a favourite item of mine. You can also get a birthday song from the robo cat server. Overall pleasant staff, good portion and reasonably priced food means I only have good things to say about Dragon Rolls and hope they stay in business forever Parking: Parking seems equally busy during weekday lunch as weekend, probably due to other businesses in the same area
Great food and price. Kid-friendliness: Kids will love the robot. Food : 5/5 |
I ve been coming to dragon rolls in Pickering for over 5 years and I am satisfied with my food, service and cost each and every time. I m not sure why they only have 3.9 stars because they are a great restaurant! I find that compared to other sushi restaurants they have the lowest AYCE prices. Parking: Shared spots with other stores in the plaza
Dragon Roll is one of the few places I go to in Pickering for sushi. I always get take out from here. Today I decided to dine in, halfway through an employee asked me if I m done and if he could take the IPad. I said no politely twice, as I was not finished. Another employee comes back two minutes later asking if I am done and can take the IPad. I said no, I was confused as why they kept asking me. I told the employee, someone just asked me twice in the last 5 minutes. She s responded very rudely stating I need to order my last order now as lunch is ending. I tell her okay sorry, I didn t realize the time and will order my last. I continue to finish off my roll and I look up, she remains to stare at me. She then tell me repeatedly x3 do it now in a rude tone .. I was in disbelief. Other customers beside me were also shocked. I understand the potential risk of customers ordering things off the dinner menu but to speak to a customer that way is unbelievable. I asked to speak to management at the front and I told them my concerns on how the server spoke to me. All they said right ok Sushi is great but the customer service is by far the worst I ve ever encountered in my 28 years.
The best place to enjoy your foods, so many varieties : hot, cold and warm , you name it, not just sushi they also have noodle & fried rice as many other as well, nice desert. My kids like the robots bringing out your dishes I have been here numerous time and very happy with their service and freshly made sushi Thank you!
I cant say enough about Fiona! We continue to come back not only for the food but for her amazing service!! Thank you Fiona for always making us smile ... you the BEST!
We ordered 37$ worth of food on Uber eats , and we requested utensils because we were not home and had no chopsticks. All of our sushi arrived and now we have to go drive to get chopsticks , they called us back after we let them know and told us they would give us free spring rolls next time we came in . When I let her know we don t eat spring rolls she said sorry my dear , and offered some kind of rice ball - none of which we ordered . Really dissatisfied!
Love the food here, but you are rushed by a limit of an hour and a half and they come and take the IPAD away. It makes it hard if you are socializing and chatting with friends or family. All you can eat, but timed. Also 15% automatic tip if you have 6 or more people in your party. Wheelchair accessibility: Pmdpecialty parking available every time weve gone here
Went out for dinner with some friends last night and had the AYCE menu. This is officially our new AYCE spot! The food was fresh, came quickly, the servers were polite and very helpful. Anything we asked them for was provided right away. Service was amazing and some items came on this robot server thingy that says Jesus loves you . I thought it was so cute and my friends loved it as well! I ve been to many other AYCE sushi restaurants and have never had such a great selections coupled with great service the way it was last night. I ve also never had such great chicken wings at an AYCE sushi place but those wings were magical last night! THANK YOU, DRAGON ROLLS! We will be back Vegetarian options: Lots of things to choose from that don t have meat or meat byproducts. Parking: Entrance to the restaurant is around the corner from where you initially see the sign when entering, in a parking lot with the shoppers drug mart.
Excellent quality of food. Top for the area. New ideas, fresh made and very well tasty foods! Love the sashimi, salmon salad and Volcano rolls. I recommend this place :)) Vegetarian options: Lots of options Dietary restrictions: All good Parking: Easy to find Kid-friendliness: My little guy loves the robot! Waitress very patient with him:) Wheelchair accessibility: all good
Awesome seafood buffet. Make sure you are hungry enough before you hit this joint.
Love it.
One of the best all you can eat Japanese restaurants I have been so far. Amazing menu, delicious food, friendly staff members and price is reasonable! Highly recommended!
Food was mediocre, but don t expect a lot for the price you pay. Food did come out fresh and in a timely manner. Servers were good. Lighting in the place was super dim however, hard to see what you were eating. Came with a party of about 10 people, they allowed us to pay separately. Easy to find in the plaza, ample parking, etc.
Great place to enjoy great tasting sushi. The staff were great....even our robot server . Lol
We usually order this place through Uber eats, and have always enjoyed It. This has been my go-to sushi place for about a year now, and will definitely continue to be after tonight. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with our uber-driver who had made a mistake, and I called the restaurant to confirm if they had picked it up or not. The woman on the phone was very friendly and helpful In tracking down my order, and confirmed It was picked up and said It was delivered. We ended up re-ordering (after we dealt with Uber support), and we were very shocked (and very appreciative) to see they added In a few extra s for us! Thank you again for the amazing service, we ll definitely be back soon.
Went here to all you can eat buffet. Customer service was amazing and manger was super friendly and nice. Food was good as well!
After trying all the sushi places in Durham, this one is definitely the best. Sushi is always fresh, pretty decent size maki rolls and always taste really good. Pretty big choice menu including torch rolls and Thai food as well. service sometimes gets slow during busy hours but otherwise I m happy
Met a friend for an early dinner. Thought we would maybe try the a la cart menu and then realized that our party wanted to have the variety available on the AYCE menu. I understand businesses wanting to monetize on the holiday get togethers, but it felt gross knowing that they jacked the dinner price up to $37 per person because of the holidays. This in itself would deter me from returning. The food comes quickly, sometimes via staff or robot. Dont expect any extra customer service here. You will get the bare minimum from staff in my opinion. Overall, come here if you want to see a robot waiter in action and a wide variety of food. Come at lunch only if you are hoping for a cheap-er AYCE option.
I m obsessed with this sushi joint. My number 1 place to eat. I always get the all you can eat dinner selection even if it is lunch because of the additional types of torched sushi rolls available. Be sure to try the torched sushi section on the menu it is divine. If you love sushi you won t be disappointed with the freshness and quality of the food here. Kid-friendliness: I sometimes eat the all you can eat and I have my infant daughter with me. They are very thoughtful on where to seat me so I have lots of space with my stroller.
My number one spot for sushi in Pickering. They have a wide selection and their food is always so good. The restaurant inside is clean and welcoming. If youre impressed by it, they have a robot server. The lady who possibly manages, shes amazing! There was also an error in my order once and they went above and beyond to rectify the issue. I have always been happy with my service here.
I ordered here for take out. The spict dishes were tasty. I had chicken as the meat option in some of the dishes. The chicken tasted like guey rubber. If you have gluten allergy avoid this place. The pad Thai was made with some sort of ketchup sauce. Otherwise this place should be good for your money if your stomach handle the weird meats
Everything was tasty, fresh and the service was as friendly
Food is barf, you are better off with the grocery sushi. Not kidding.
I really enjoyed this place the food was really good and I love the robots lol I will be coming back
Good food. Opted ala carte. I would recommend this place.
Always love Dragon Rolls
Dragon rolls my go to sushi place in Durham and one I always recommend to anyone who asks. They have the best pricing for both lunch and dinner compared to most sushi places in Durham, and the best variety of dishes. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you to all of the staff at dragon rolls!
Great place ! I really enjoyed the selection of Japanese and Thai food . Good service, quick food delivery ! Decent pricing for an all you can eat . Will be back again!
I used to love going to this place with my husband. They have good food and the service is usually good with good food. This recent visit though the service was bad. They didnt come to the table regularly enough to ask for service needs. They couldnt understand english enough to be attentive. And speaking a different language in front of customers is beyond rude. Then to top it off they choose to automatically add the tip for you?! They never used to do this before. I dont mind adding a tip. But its the customers right to tip or not depending on the service and how much I will tip. The degree of service did not deserve a 15% tip. You dont even have the option to take it out when they automatically put it in. Wont be going back and I suggest others not to either. This restaurant just lost my business entirely.
Have visited the restaurant multiple times and service use to be good but not anymore! Management has I dont care attitude and service has gone REALLY bad! and food is just average! most recent experience was the worst. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone! This restaurant just lost my business entirely. Beware of fake reviews!
Ordered some takeout for a birthday dinner Pick up was smooth and the placed looked clean Food was very fresh Food : 5/5
I am usually a very satisfied customer of Dragon Rolls and even order from this restaurant at least once a month. This will be the last time ordering from this restaurant unfortunately after the delivery order I received on Friday, October 13th. Ive tried to reach out to the restaurant and left voicemails as well, but they have not returned my calls. I ordered the Shrimp and Pork dumplings (Siu Mai) and when the order came I ate one whole piece and thought it was weird that it was chewy and stringy. I thought maybe it was just one bad one. I ate the rest of my food and came back to the pork and shrimp dumplings later. After biting into the second piece, I immediately spit it out and saw that the pork inside was completely raw (like no attempt was made to cook it). This item is always fully cooked when I normally get it. This raw food is concerning for anyone consuming it, but I am also 23 weeks pregnant and mentioned that in my order as well. Please see photo attached as this should not ever be acceptable for any restaurant.
All you can eat is good for its price. Quick and clean service. They have one of the automated robot waiters. Which is cool and trendy, also efficient. The tempura items are decent. Its good to go stuff your face, but the quality of food can be better. Sometimes too much rice in the sushi roll, they stingy on the avocado. Overall I would go again, since its all you can eat. Try and get your moneys worth Parking: Dont stress about the parking, you will be fine
Excellent food and sushi
Ordered maki set c and spicy tuna rolls were not edible and tasted spoiled
I want to be fair and give constructive feedback. No use giving a 1-star rating as this is very damaging to a business. I recently attended and I noticed a difference in the quality of the food from a few years back. Soya chicken is a big no-no. It does not have the taste, consistency or quality of a regular chicken breast. Also, I had wonton soup. It tasted like soya sauce and water. I get it that these times, post COVID, restaurant operating costs are expensive. However, I personally would always pay more for good food than to eat food that is inferior quality.
Our go to spot for sushi dinner
Love the sushi, roll and crab tempura. I may try All you can eat next time.
The food was good but they didnt bring out the sashimi until the very end (many orders later) after inquiring a few times. It seemed a bit strategic to our group that they forgot and wanted us to get full on the cheaper food. If you go here, you will have good eats but ASK FOR THE SASHIMI FIRST!
Food was really bland, service subpar. Wouldnt go again.
Great Sushi. One of the few spots in Durham that has torched Sushi options that I really enjoy. Definitely one of the better Sushi/ AYCE spots in the area! We tried the AYCE dinner option and the food was good. What I also really appreciated was the great choice of music. Very uplifting and thoughtful! Loved the unapologetic Christian vibe
The torched salmon was the best sushi I ve ever tasted. I wish I had more room in my stomach I would ve eaten 100 of those. The desert was yummy! Loved the Oreo.
Really solid restaurant, great food, fast service
Great sushi and food. My family and I went for AYCE and we enjoyed the sushi options and other food options. The staff were very friendly, the service was amazing as they made my daughter s experience a special one. The cat robot was the superstar, especially for my daughter. The ambiance of this restaurant is very nice. We got to enjoy the 50 % off our meal on my wife s birthday, it was only 50% off her meal, not all of us dining. I m definitely coming back. Thank you to all the restaurant staff for the lovely dining experience.
Good amount of selections, not the best but for the price its good. Free pop, more than usual dessert options. Food tasted good for the most part!
The food here was amazing. No complaints everything was flavourful. However the service was great. They kept forgetting things we asked for. I had to ask 3 times for tissue paper
