Paid just over 20$ for a Chicken shawarma plate and a can of pop. Kind of pricey in my opinion when I can go down the street to Osmows and get the same thing for 14 bucks with a lot more portion to the meal.

The shwarma (sp?) is delicious! I ordered the dinner plate and split it with my son for lunch. It was still a large lunch! The pickle with the salad brings a welcome sour crunch. The hot sauce mixes perfectly with the meat on the rice! Cant wait to go back!

Just got a Too good to go order supposedly worth $18. They gave one small underfilled wrap not worth even half of that in their menu! Avoid at all costs of this is how youre going to be trying this establishment.

Was picking up to good to go order. Lady behind the counter was rude, terrible customer service. Was supposed to be $18 worth of food. Basically gave 1 small pita, as per menu, $9.99! Food was awful, I was extremely disappointed. Do yourself a favor and go to Pita Delight in Ajax, Harwood Rd. Great food, awesome value and the customer service is always great.

The ladies that work the counter are rude, belittling and disrespectful. It honestly felt like they looked down on me because of cultural differences! I ALREADY PAID FOR MY ORDER, which they could clearly see the code number for, that had the date, time and all order information, but that wasnt good enough. They told me to get my money back through the app which I ordered from, because they wont be giving me my order! When trying to ask for options they kept cutting me off and telling me to leave, as they were closing soon. Because of this, it affected my childrens dinner! Will never go back to this restaurant, and I advise you to think twice before coming here, as there are much better options with more respectable staff that dont look down on you for your ethnicity and/or religious views!

Absolutely horrible customer service and deff wont go back

I love to support our fellow afghans and their business, but when we went there at 7:22pm, we were told that they can t serve us as they are closing at 8pm and they can only do take out for us. We drove 45 minutes to dine in here and we had enough time to eat and leave but just decided to walk out and give our support elsewhere ! Rule of the thumb is that the last customer should be served for dine in is at 8pm not 7:22pm. I am sad, why our afghans will never learn to maintain and grow a business. Customer support means everything !

Im afghan and this place is a disgrace . I asked for a chicken shawarma plate and you guys gave me raw chicken . I came during closing time . You guys charged me $18 for absolute trash of a food you call a chicken plate ? Whole place should be shut down and public health should be notified immediately . Delicious wraps! One of the best shawarma Ive had in the GTA. Good deal for 2 people and 2 wraps. They dont skimp on fillings, and the meat was cooked very well. Tasty sauces to go with it!

Hidden gem in a hidden pocket of Pickering. Fast & friendly service on some really great and simple dishes. We were so happy we stopped in.

Horribly tasteless. The pita bread stinks like whole wheat tortia. The toppings were. This place is overpriced and food is very salty. I will never order here nor will I recommend it anyone.

We always order the chicken shwarma with rice & salad. The garlic sauce is a must along with the red powder in the shaker, unsure the name. The staff is amazing, very friendly & personable.

Food here is excellent... obviously a fan of the chicken shwarma... I have food sensitivities, and I find them happy to accommodate here. I often have to compete with the high school crowd, and they handle service quickly and fairly. Fully recommended! The space is not fancy but you dont want it to be when stopping for lunch or a bite to eat. Food is delicious, hot and prepared the way I ask, the first time! Thanks!

I have been going to this place for years. Lately, I have seen the quantity drop and the price shot up. $22 for 1 Falafel wrap and 1 Chicken Tikka Wrap. That makes no sense as it was cheaper a few weeks back. I understand things have gone up, but 30% or more price increases in a few weeks is nuts. I guess this is how the owner can afford the Mercedes company car!

This has the best falafel in Durham area by far! I have tried a couple franchises (Osmows & Tahinis) and their falafels are floury and cannot compare to the flavour of this small restaurant. The staff is friendly - always! Outside of traveling downtown Toronto ... this is by far the best place for falafel!

The Afghan chicken bolani was so good, and the 27 naan was soooo long and goes with any gravy. The girl working there was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Afghan food. I cant wait to go back and try more dishes.

Below average in taste. Chicken was hardly seasoned. Stingy portion of protein. Worst of all, it was reheated from sitting in a big pile in the tray instead of cut from the spit.

The worst menu options . Every menu option was tossed out. Only shawarma and even that they are fussy and won t give you salad in a separate container. I walked out. Really UN accommodating . It s covid and people have options . Don t be so arrogant. There s a million kebab and shawarma options in the area. Change your sign and remove kebab if you can t offer even one option of the dozen on the signboard.

Support a local shawarma business instead of going to the chain restaurants in the area. This place is authentic! Completely different taste and not runny at all. Always opted for the chicken shawarma wrap and I was never disappointed. Fresh ingredients, prepared right before your eyes behind the counter.

I went here for afghan food and their was none to be found. All menu items relating to afghan food were unavailable. They only had shawarma which tasted ok, but I wouldnt go out of my way to get shawarma here.

Got the shawarma plate as they didnt have anything else available. It was tasty but could use more garlic sauce. Was about $18 with tip.

Listen the place isnt bad as people make it out to be. When the manager/chef is there it is always a blessing to be served by him. i get that he isnt there all the time, hence why some ppl have negative reviews because its other people there running it when hes not. Yes some of them have a strange attitude in serving but the food is pretty good. Everytime i eat there its always good food and well laid out. i aint middle eastern or a relative, just an honest consumer.

Extremely sad with the serving portion. This is my second time here, first time I came was pre-Covid and they forgot to give me a naan with one of my orders. Second time coming here during covid, they didn t have half of the menu. You would think that paying over $30 for 2 plates it would result in generous portions. Not getting what you pay for when you come here.

We had the falafel plate and the chicken shawarma plate. The food was hot and flavourful. The service was great and the price was right. Better that the similar Mediterranean chain restaurant in the next plaza.

Shawarma wrap was not that good. The chicken they use does not seem fresh. The hummus is not good. Not to mention the prices, for what they charge my expectations were high. Almost $9 for One Shawarma wrap and $14 for one shawarma plate. Probably will never return to this place. Dont charge so much if you cant deliver the taste.

I ordered 4 Chicken Shawarmas through DOORDASH. I waited about 40 minutes for the order to get to my door. My husband and I were initially so excited to eat as we love shawarma and have been to many places and have never been disappointed. Unfortunately, when we took our first bite we were underwhelmed, we continued to eat in hopes that maybe it would get better. I waited for the wrap to start tasting like a chicken shawarma, but the flavors remained bland and disappointing. I opened the the wrap and noticed there was scraps of cabbage, 4 broken pieces of turnips which were very pale pink in color, and the chicken was so dry it had a similar texture to can flaked tuna. There was no authenticity in the taste, the chicken didnt have that usual toasted and well seasoned taste, it really didnt taste like much. The size is comparable to a McDonalds Chicken Wrap, Ive never been able to wrap my hand around a shawarma as other places would pack it, but this one was small in size. If youre looking for shawarma Id recommend going else where. Maybe Check out Shawarma Bros or Amazing Shawarma. DoorDash refunded me about 1/3 of what I paid, this experience literally put a bad taste in our mouths. Pics/Vid for reference.

Best shawarma in the GTA

My last experience was not the greatest when asking for extra sauce or extra fillings it is given grudgingly. A lot depends on who is serving some are obliging others not so much.

Great food and kind people! Love this place however yesterday I got chicken that was all dry and crispy like it got fried to a crisp...not what they usually give to their customers. Hopefully they can get a hand on this before the place goes down hill because when the boys were running it it was better. but maybe its a learning curve i will always come back and support them just because of the kind caring people who work there i have not met one worker who was not super kind. Still love it!

Food is excellent. Very flavourful.

Ordered the lunch special, chicken tasted bland and had few pieces of chicken cartilage kind of texture. Spices over all were very mild and nothing seems flavour. Fries were seemed to be cooked in a Fryer which was not fully hot yet, therefore they were not seemed to fully cooked. Overall, it was not the experience I would like to have again.

Oh!! My this is such a family place for me. It s a place I know I can go and be welcome. My specialty order is the Chicken shawarma Salad perfect if you have to watch your diet. The serving is perfect and very tasty!

Looks to be a family run restaurant which I like and give full credit, food is fresh and authentic. How ever only rating 3 because I found the chicken to be a little bland compared to other places.

Trash food, weak flavours. Chicken is rubbery, bland, and disgusting. Salad is plain head iceberg, pickles were bad, overall poor quality food. Will never ever return.

Walked in today to get lunch combo,they said they didnt had combo ,so got chicken shawarma and falafel plate. Not worth it, there hot sauce is tangy ,rice is pale in taste.

Ordered their pricey 2 shawarma plates and got tons of rice and salad with a very thin layer of fried shredded chicken instead shawarma which they prepared on their pan. Dont waste your money here. Go little bit farther to other good restaurants at Brock and Kingston. They dont know how to do business and make customers happy by giving customers they deserving moneys best food.

Their food is tasty, but everything on their boards says sold out for some reasons. They only have chicken shawarma now.

Best Shawarma EVER

Pre ordered their wing deal, good value. But they were made way too early so cold. Staff there were terrible. I asked one ladies (2) what her favorite dish was she said nothing on this menu then rolled her eyes, that was a big red flag for me and I feel sorry for the owner as that is not a good. I have have the Chicken shwarma from there before and it was tasty and filling and a good value but the last experience was terrible

The flavour of the chicken shawarma here beats the local competition. Service is quick and very friendly. I have been coming here regularly for a couple of years now.

Have been ordering from here for over a year and the last few months I noticed the quantity kept getting less and the quality was getting worse too. Today part of my order consisted of two orders of fries. When it was ready I noticed that the quantity was so bad that two orders could fit into one and even then it wasn t full. I brought it to the notice of the employee and he said that s how it is and that the owner served it. I asked to speak with the owner and he said that s all you get. When I mentioned that I won t be buying from there again he said fine we don t need your business . I guess it explains why the place is never busy. With the quality getting worse and this kind of service I wouldn t recommend this joint to anyone.

I usually absolutely love this place and drive from Ajax to get their food.. HOWEVER I am very very disappointed!! Today I went in and got a shawarma plate and the chicken was crunchy and extremely hard.. Which is unlike them.. Like its been warmed put in the fridge, taken out and reheated. I understand that due to covid-19 it must be very difficult to know how much to cook but this experiencing was so unnerving that I wasnt sure if I was chewing on bone. Unfortunately money and time not spent well and in this time its rare to go out to eat to begin with. It made me so uncontrollable and I had to throw half of it out.. SAD

All I can smell on my wrap is raw onion and one bite was overpowering with a harsh,vinegary taste and raw onion. It is inedible. 10 minutes later my mouth is still burning from the acidity of one bite.

Not a good place to try chicken shawarma on plate. Used old made chicken and just grilled it on Tawa for 15-20 seconds. Sauces were almost as thin as water. Portion of almost everything was small, I could literally count the fries. Absolutely not worth for even $7 but they charge $13.55 :(

Never knew paper would be part of the shawarma here! Tried this place for the first time and found the wrapping paper was glued to the pita on one side. I almost ate that paper with Shawarma!

Tried their chicken shawarma earlier today. The sauce was like water thin and chicken taste old. Quantity was low and quality was poor. Not going back to this place again. I should have just spend my money at osmos which wasnt too far from this place.

Great food, however they are very cheap on the condiments, every time I go there. I always asked to add more condiments and was told theres extra cost.

Great food and people however the hours of operation reflected are NOT accurate. Google says 10 pm, the sign on their DOOR says 9pm...yet Ive tried to go there 3 times this week between 8:20pm and 8:50pm and they have been closed already each time.

They have ad as outside for student special but when I walked in the store and Asked. They said no..misleading ad.

I ordered 2 chicken Shawarma wraps for pick up. Asked for everything in it. For almost $9 each with tax, it wasnt much thicker than a short Italian sausage. It was tasty but nothing exceptional. Honestly, they could have loaded it with vegetables like pickled cabbage, lettuce etc, all cheap, bulking ingredients and put a little more sauce on it and theyd have more repeat customers. I wont be going back after that.

These people actually make good shawarma and you must try a little of the jalapeno sauce which is a little spicy but makes the wrap a little flavorful. Prices are also good here.

Theyve gotten stingy on their toppings. The shawarmas used to be so big and full of toppings I needed two Hands to eat it. Now, I can eat it with one hand with still room in my hand. The shawarmas are skinnier now and their prices have gone up it seems. I was trying to support a local business, but wont be going back.
