This place deserves better than 3.9 stars for its food. Delicious food, great service. Chicken karahi is a must try Major deal breaker: The owner (an older woman) yelled at employees in the dining area and kitchen during our visit. Biryani was missing masala , looking like plain rice

From the past 2-3 times I have noticed their food quality is going down..also once they gave me leftover biryani and to my yesterday s order the biryani was so plain just boiled rice with burnt chicken in it.. I ignore 1-2 times but now I don t think I will be going to this restaurant again.

Today we went for breakfast. It was not open at 10.00 am which is posted opening time. Staff said order will come in 15 minutes but it came in 41 minutes after a customer complained that his wait time exceeded 30 minutes and i inquired how long it will take. Halwa puri quality was horrible. Not recommended at all. Waste of morning, money and health.

I went to get take out on Saturday and the food was very good. I was a bit disappointed they ran out of butter chicken , but it was no big deal, so many options to choose from, and the guy gave me an extra pop which was nice. The staff was friendly and the food was good. The price is fair too. I will be back again!

Great food

Since Food Time reopened in Pickering. I have been ordering different dishes from their menu. No disappointments. Love their chicken kebab roll, karahi chicken Boneless( extra charge for boneless) but its worth it, palak with chicken, quorma , Naan, Chicken biriyani, Nihari. And many more yummy dishes. Love it all. Best Pakistani restaurant... Hafeez contact...the nicest guy.. Also the lady at the front cash is extremely polite. She doesnt get confused while taking your order. Listens and repeats it over. New lady at the front..she is also great. By the way...the biriyani is not oily..its perfect. Shami kebabs..are delicious. Vegetarian options: Vege options are tasty...all dishes..vege and non vege are even Tastier now. The right amount of salt, oil, and spices are being used. Please do not change the recipes or the cooks....Fantastic restaurant .... Also very clean and staff is friendly. I

We have been going to Food Time Pickering for many years. Most recently I ordered the chicken biryani and beef korma. Their dishes are excellent. We have tried many on the menu. I have noticed that their chicken biryani is not as good as it used to be. It is still good, but I would ask that they bring it back to the previous high standard. Also a special request to bring back the Thali option, especially the meat thali. Go to this location and try the chicken karahi, chicken korma and nihari. Super delicious! Tried their gulab jamuns yesterday & they were fresh and amazing. I highly recommend Food Time Pickering. Vegetarian options: They have several vegetarian options, appetizer/snacks as well as main dishes, like channa masala and palak paneer.

Disappointing Experience at Food Time I recently visited Good Time, and I have to say, it was one of the most disappointing experiences Ive had. First and foremost, the food took an excruciating hour to arrive, which was frustrating in itself. When it finally did come, I was eager to dig in, but the halwa puri was far from satisfactory. It lacked the authentic taste and texture I was hoping for, and honestly, it didn t even compare to what I ve had at other places. To top it off, the service was not good. The staff seemed disorganized and indifferent, which only added to the overall negative experience. With so many dining options available, I won t be returning to Food Time anytime soon.

Dietary restrictions: The staff are happy to provide you with little extras that you favour in dishes which is usually a very rare experience at most establishments. My friend and I were delighted with the service quality and quantity of the dishes we ordered. I actually returned a few days later with my Husband who is very picky about foods made by others but he loved every bite. We were greeted as soon as we came in the door shown to our table and promptly provided a cold jug of water and menus. We met the owners who are lovely people that work extremely hard to please their customers. They shared their ideas on things my Husband would find not too spicy. They took the time with us and were sweet both servers and cook/owners. The restaurant is clean and nicely organized/decorated. Thank you so much for you kindness and delicious foods which we found to be very reasonably priced. Wheelchair accessibility: Extremely convenient store front parking.

My sister had their food catered for an aqeeqah ceremonh. Everything was delicious.. the qorma, biryani, bbq chicken, channa and desserts were all soo good. Cooked to perfection, spice level was also good. Kids and adults .. all enjoyed the food. Highly recommend for catering!!

Honestly not sure why the ratings are so low. Among my friends in Pickering this is the go to spot for amazing desi food. I recently had them cater my daughters Aqeeqah. Had the biryani, mutton korma, Chana Salan, and kheer. EVERYONE was raving about the food. It was so good Alhumdulillah. I couldn t have been happier.

The girl who works on Sunday needs to learn costumer service, she was very very disrespectful to my mother, we always order from her and this definitely will be our last. I ve never met anyone so rude in my life, from the beginning her attitude was not right. If you want to get told off and feel degraded then this is the place to come. We took a medium veal biryani tray which we took a couple of times before and it used to be good. I was told it s for 15-20 people but there was barely any meat. The size of the tray was same but it was just full of rice and most meats were with large bones. We got super embarrassed in front of our guests and we were only hosting 10 people with the 15-20 people tray. This is unfair. We paid about 94$ for it.

Awful, I am regular and the restaurant staff knows me, given my regular item. Today I called the restaurant to place an order - the person at the front desk, said please give me 1 min - I only had one item to order but I thought may be its busy hours and waited for 4 mins and 30 seconds before calling back and letting the person know - not to treat customers in this manner. For 4 mins I was overhearing a conversation that was around taking another in person order. If you think its going to take long tell your customers to call back, please. Please be courteous. Absolutely taken back - and all it took was less than 5 mins to paint this picture. I am at a disadvantage that this restaurant makes what we really enjoy . When I called back the person kept interrupting me trying to apologize while I was politely trying to let him know my thoughts - gave my order finally and the guys says - it will take long. I told him to cancel the order - this experience was terrible for me. A lot of reconsider here.

I have been here numerous times, this is my go to place for Indian/Pakistani food in Durham. I recently ordered butter chicken and chicken tikka masala curry with beef skewers, naan and chicken biriyani, we did this for Christmas instead of preparing a turkey this year. Everyone that came loved it and complimented the food, nobody left unsatisfied. The staff is very friendly and will always help with the loading off the food into your car.

We ordered Kadai mutton. Came out watery, with two terrible pieces. Channa masala was tasteless and also watery with very very less spices Garlic nan was good. The girl serving us was very nice. But she had a very bad cough. She was coughing the entire time. Hope she is feeling better.

The staff is extremely helpful and nice, when it comes to making recommendations. I would HIGHLY recommend to come here with your family and friends. Tried food times biryani for the first time in quite some time, and I found 2 broken bones right in the center of rice mountain. It seems like they dont care about the quality anymore. Their biryani is just OK. Theres nothing special about it. Malasa was so mild, a lot of white rice, and potatoes were not cooked with biryani. I guess theyre boiled separately and added later as a filler. Taste was just bland, to be honest. I bought the biryani from jumma prayers from Usman Masjid today, and when I opened the box at home, I found 2 bones in the box right on the top of the rice mountain. May be the meat came off of the bones when cooking or while theyre being packed. Anyway. its not a great presentation. Overall experience was not so great.

AMAZING CHICKEN KARAHI!! the best I ve had in Pickering/Durham region. I usually go to Karahi point or Karahi boys but this one is 1000x better and way more affordable prices here with top notch quality, authentic flavours. Definitely my new go to stop for good Pakistani food.

This place has gone downhill. They used to be good back in the day. The veal biryani was dry and lacked flavour, not to mention the veal itself wasnt fresh. The Nihari tasted like spiced water and the chicken korma tasted like it came from a jar. Im never going back.

I order from food time on Uber eats in Pickering often. I have never gotten an order that wasn t amazing. The nihari is one of the best curries I ve ever had in my whole life. Recently changed from chicken biryani to veal biryani and will be ordering veal from now on.

The food taste has gone down drastically recently. We always get full tandoori chicken and it used to be so flavourful and spiced right and topped with lemon juice. We bought chicken yesterday and there was barely any salt or spice in it, no lemon juice, it tasted like chicken was baked with some colour on it. I see there s a lot of Caucasian customers too and it s fine to cater to them but also cater to Asian communities. Have two options spicy and mild. We had tandoori chicken from Usmania 2 weeks ago and it was so well spiced and baked, their naans were soft but naans from food time yesterday were some heavy duty naans, they were thick and hard to chew.

The owner of the restaurant is so rude and of bad behaviour. I took food from him in the night time with a number of dishes adding 4 chicken biryani s on Sep 23, 2023.While eating biryanis it was found that meat was smelly and taste of biryani was some how bad. Next day morning I took some of the biryanis to show him. Instead of looking that he started shouting and misbaving. He started abusing me and my wife being we seniors and did not listen any thing. He shouted and used bad language in the restaurant and even out side while we left his restaurant.

Almost got food poisoning from here. On top of that the owner is extremely rude. The guy was almost shocked over losing $10. Has no sense of how business runs on customer service. Only running this place because desi people don t have lots of choices. Never going there.

OMG WOW! The food was absolutely excellent and truly Pakistani food. The naans were so fresh and soft. The curries were all so delicious and mouth watering. I absolutely recommend the biryani as well, it was so flavourful and the quantity was more than enough for 2 people. Looking forward to return again with more friends and family. An absolute hidden gem for sure!

I believe food is good here. Im here for the third time and realised Customer service is untrained !! And dont even try sweets like Gulab Jamun/Rassmalai here by mistake. To restaurant - too dissatisfied with taste of sweets, pls provide customer with atleast some quality.

Great service and atmosphere. The food is excellent, full of flavour and well balanced spices. I came here on the suggestion of a friend and I can say I was not disappointed at all. Keep up the good work!

Don t go here, I went with my family there was hair on my raita and on the Biryani. I told the guy name haseb instead of apologizing or anything he didn t say anything and charged me full amount even though none of my family eat after seeing a hair. Very disappointed and bad customer service. I was a regular customer never going again.

Food has always been consistently delicious, well prepared and served hot. Almost always a seat available when dining in, however can be busy with delivery orders which can split the attention of staff. They are extremely kind and attentive regardless, and its clear they work tirelessly for the community. Parking: Parking shared with other stores. Not always busy but limited spots.

We went to food time for a family dinner and saw a mouse casually walking around. Its understandable that mice get into restaurants accidentally but by the look of it, it seemed like this mouse lived there. Also, the staff casually kicked him out, as if it was a normal thing.

We had ordered 200 food boxes for an event to be delivered in the masjid. The food was amazing, all the guests really loved the taste. It was delivered on time all the way to Mississauga. Would definitely order again for all our events. The quality and quantity are commendable. Thank you

Been a long time customer since about 2009, it looks like theyre finally starting to go the way of other restaurants. Food quality declining, options available are less, and now they only have presidents choice drinks for pop, not name brand, and the prices are increasing significantly. The food is still good but the value is much less, will probably visit less frequently.

Ordered large Veal Biryani tray and 4 order of finger fish, we were told it will be good enough for 20/25 people, it hardly filled 14 people (we had 5 other items that we ordered from somewhere else including Kebab, Tikka, Naan, Karahi), so people were not eating only Biryani and Fish and it still got finished. Not happy with quantity at all. Also had to buy extra Raita for $6.

Amazing place to dine in with your family and friends. The restaurant is clean and the food is delicious. My family and I ordered chicken karahi, Tandoori chicken with rice, and naan. My family and I were speechless when we ate the karahi. It toasted authentic and the chicken tasted fresh. The naans were fluffy, crispy on the outside and soft inside. The tandoori chicken with rice were very flavourful. Wonderful experience definitely recommend for authentic Pakistani food. We will definitely be back! We ordered tandoori chicken with rice , Chicken Karahi with garlic Naan and Plain Naan . It was yummillicios .. we lovedddddddd the food I think this is first authentic Pakistani restaurant I can refer my friends and colleagues The chicken Karahi was so delicious with full of masala and they were not being cheap on the portions . 5 of us ata and still we packed the left over . Rice were full of taste with safron smell . So Good Garlic naan were so yummy soft and fluffy A friend of us from Ottawa recommended this place to us . Whenever they visit they specifically come here to eat. Now I know why Highly Highly Highly Recommended,

Ordered catering from here multiple times. Food is always hot, fresh and on time. The food is always well prepared and tastes amazing.

Bought 3servings of Biryani....TASTELESS rice. Its not BIRYANI, salty rice with lots of color mixed with cooked meat right when order comes in...not a proper layered biryani. Out of 3boxes 1 was filled with white plain rice with color no masalah nothing. No tomato, garam masalah, mint, green pepper,cardamom None!! Never ever going back to them. Unfriendly staff+ for creating this masterpiece they took 20+minutes. Larosh biryani is properly layered dum biryani, they were sold out so had to try new place. Total disappointment!
