I attended an extended family gathering in the upstairs event space for a Christmas celebration. With 40+ attending, we had several tables for a sit down buffett and lots of room for games played later on. Lots of fun. Parking: Luckily theres a small plaza next door for additional parking. Its also very close to Highway 401 Wheelchair accessibility: The upstairs was not wheel chair accessible. We didnt need that, but I didnt notice any access for the main floor dining, which was 3 or 4 steps up.

Very welcoming, the service was very good with a friendly server. The food was good and when they made a mistake with the order (to our benefit) we were not charged for the difference. The food (steaks) were served with delicious properly al dente vegetables. We enjoyed a dessert on the house and overall had a very satisfactory dinner. The only take away would be maybe the lights are too bright, taking away from the ambience. All in all, I recommend.

It was my first time there I took my brother for birthday dinner food was great and drinks .. atmosphere was great except the music was very loud we had to basically shout to each other there was a dj playing music on the main floor and downstairs as well and you can hear both music or than that everything else s was great I would definitely go back but probably in the summer time ..

An incredible work Christmas party we had at The Mansion. The venue itself was absolutely stunning, adding an extra touch of elegance and charm to our festivities. The food and drinks were simply fantastic. From delicious appetizers to the main courses and desserts, everything was top-notch. And of course, the drinks were equally impressive, perfectly complementing the meal. I truly appreciate all the efforts that went into organizing this party. It was a perfect way to celebrate the holiday season!

Attended 3 times and 2/3 was great atmosphere. The last time a wedding was going on and the music was extremely loud and the service was very slow. But removing that from the equation, I really like the renovations and the atmosphere normally. The reason for a non 5 star review is I think they need to up the caliber of food. It is very basic and does not match the price and caliber of restaurant I think it could be.

Last night my wife and I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary. This was the exact spot where we had our reception. The food was exceptional and the service made our experience so enjoyable. Our server Antonio was super friendly and extremely helpful, and made our experience special.

The service was good , but could have been better and the ambience was so nice. My husband and I had a dinner night there yesterday for his birthday and we ordered duck speducci as appetizer and 16 oz stake with veggies with some drinks. Everything was fine till we got home , I ended up with an irritated tummy and my husband was puking all night and had out everything he had for dinner and we didn t had anything else the entire night for food , except our dinner. It is really not expected to end up having food poising from here and we are so disappointed as it was his special day.

We had a party of 18 for a year end party. Our server Alex was attentive and very friendly. She was efficient and paced the evening well with our apps, mains, drinks and dessert. Had to wait 3,5 hours for the food to be served and then another hour for the dessert !!! Outrageous! The food was not too bad ,but the whole experience was totally ruined . Never again. It was a corporate event on November 16 at 6 PM. I am not sure exact number of people that we had ,but iI would say at least around 50 and all of them remained impressed of the service.I uploaded a picture with the time when the food was served. And not everyone was served at the same time ,some people had to wait another 30-40 minutes.

This past Friday November 29th 2024 around 8:30pm. I would give zero if I could. First time we have ever gone out to eat and the staff took us to sit only to wait 20 minutes without being acknowledged, offered water/drinks etc. Then to watch them seat 3 others at a table beside us and return to that table immediately after and offer them water and ask about bills being together or separate and walk away STILLLLL not even acknowledging us. Wildly disrespectful and unprofessional. Won t be back!!

Food was great, service was lackluster and slow. Dirty serving dishes from our appetizer course sat on the table for 45+ minutes, not even cleared when our mains came. Kinda gross to have cold chicken wing bones and short rib bones left on the table when the fresh mains were brought out. Previous visits the service had been great - this time is was no better than a fast food restaurant. No recommendations, no pleasantries, requests were not heard as they were quick to leave after dropping off dishes, and a simple soda water took 30 minutes to arrive after ordering and a reminder. I ordered something to go and it never arrived. Food was good! Well seasoned, well cooked. Environment was bright and nice for a get together, although my seat and appetizer plate both had food on them from something previous. My recommendations: tighten up the table service aspect, train newer staff, and this would be a winner.

The appetizers were really delicious, but my tandoori salmon and shrimp was very bland and tasteless. The vibe in the restaurant was great.

I went this past Friday evening to Mansion with a friend for dinner. Food was good, ambiance was nice, service was friendly .but man, was the music way too loud. It s like they are trying to be a nightclub, but don t realize that 98% of the patrons are just having dinner and trying to talk with their companions vs shout at them. I d go back, but not on Friday or Saturday night .it was very frustrating.

Parking: Many options for parking Food

One of my best friends turned fifty, and I wanted to take him out for a nice meal. I chose Mansion Kitchen + Bar based on some online sleuthing. Reservations were easy to make (and modify). There was plenty of parking and it was easy to enter the lot and the restaurant (there is an accessible ramp for those that need it). The location looks nice and was decorated with Halloween decor. Our server was very engaged, helpful, and efficient. She made sure that we were comfortable and was timely with her service. The drinks were delicious and the food was really great. We split some duck (skewers) and both ordered the 8 oz striploin. Everything tasted great - and the vegetables were very fresh. Thanks so much for making this a great experience! I know Ill be coming back!

Anniversary dinner for 2 ...seated in the bar . We then asked to move to dining room. No server for at least 10 minutes. Saxophone player came on with a backing track and we couldnt hear ourselves think ..he turned it down when asked , bit was still too loud. We were only one of 2 remaining tables and the house music was on with the live music. Asked to be moved back to the bar area for our entrée. Food not the quality expected for the price . No mention made of our special occasion . Overall , a $300 mistake...will not be returning .

I ordered the Mansion Wagyu Burger with a Caesar salad on the side, they were both good and filling. My partner ordered the Spraganacci Pasta and that looked really good. Overall, I would come back again.

Celebrated a milestone birthday here and I must say, I usually go downtown for the fancy drinks and food items but Mansion did its thing! The décor & atmosphere was beautiful, the staff were all lovely & full of warm & bright smiles, and the food (especially dessert) was delicious. I had made a last minute request for my late order as I was going to the movies just across the street, and they accommodated my request with such ease. Dined here for our 36th wedding anniversary dinner. Since it was a Tuesday night, the restaurant wasn t too busy. The hostess and wait staff were exceptionally welcoming, and the service was efficient. The food was delicious, and the complimentary dessert with a celebratory sparkle added a wonderful finishing touch to the evening. Highly recommend!

Ordered the turkey club and a couple pints of shocktop. The turkey club was actually pretty good and the fries were actually amazing! If I m ever here again, I would definitely order something that has fries. Also great that they had shocktop on draught as there aren t many places that have it in tap anymore. There was a wedding on the upper floor that was blasting music - so it was difficult to have conversations with the people at my table. Service was also fairly slow that night.

Got there approx 8:35 for dinner last night Sat Nov 2nd with my husband and placed our orders for drinks. About 10 mins in we ordered salads and main course. While were still eating our salads at exactly 9:05 the server came with our main courses. REALLY!! There wasnt even room on the table to place it since it was a small table for 2. Believe this..... we had to ask to have our salads packed to take home. We felt so rushed and disappointed. I picked on my order and sipped my wine. Eventually I had it packed to go since I lost my appetite. I never had a main course served before finishing appetizer or salad and the dishes not removed. The lamp chops came warm and the board it was served on was disgustingly filled with cut marks from a thousand knives. My husband had the tandoori dish which was a bit too salty. I must add that our server tried her best to make us feel comfortable and welcome but I still will blame the kitchen for sending out the luke warm food so quickly. The lamb went to sleep. Cold and fatty. Kitchen and server should connect on when to send the next course out. Im not sure if I would recommend nor visit again.

I cannot begin to express my immense level of gratitude for the team at mansion in particular, the events coordinator Saira for assisting me in planning such a memorable birthday celebration. I normally have relatively big parties, 50+ and so finding a restaurant or a space with good food, a stellar ambiance can be, far and few between. Especially when you are looking for a location that is central for most people. Needless to say, I did host my birthday party here on the 31st for over 45 people and it was phenomenal. The experience from start to finish was great. The customer service was top-tier, the food portion sizes, quality, presentation, was excellent. Every single guest at my party Enjoyed their food and complemented the timely manner in which the service was delivered. Although I cannot recollect the name of the service we have that night, they were absolutely outstanding, they were organized, efficient, and hospitable, which is one of the key characteristics of a quality restaurant. In my opinion they were constantly checking to ensure that everyone was attended to, but they were also fun And personable, which made them feel like a part of the party. Mansion is in of itself is an exquisite dining experience, but the added customer service and ability to tailor and unique party to the individual as successfully achieved by Saira adds a complementary effect. This is my third time attending man, but my first time attending as the host and I will definitely be back. I have actually shared this location with a lot of my friends and colleagues who have advised me that they intend to book parties there as well. The Mansion Kitchen and Bar is an amazing place to hold all your events. You can have an event, up stairs, downstairs, or dine in on the main floor or patio areas. Guess What, I have had events or been part of events on all floors. My most recent event was a baby shower I held downstairs for my daughter. The servers were absolutely amazing! They were so professional, respectful, helpful and their overall hospitality was 100%. I highly recommend all three lovely women (Tracy, Amya and Melayna) for your events and the perfect gentleman to add to the mix would be Kamal. We decided to go with appetizers because it was a baby shower at 2:00 pm. Everything tasted absolutely amazing! Followed by a series of party platters offered off of their events menu, that all came out in a timely fashion, with amazing flavour. Before the event I was able to sit down with the owner who helped me come up with the perfect menu and a plan as to when each item would come out. I am so happy we have a place like this in Durham! Exceptional Dining Experience! Went to Mansion Kitchen + Bar for apps n cocktails and was blown away by the entire experience. Restaurant: 10/10 The ambience and location were perfect, setting the tone for a premium dining experience. Loved the selection of premium alcohol a huge plus. Every dish we tried was delicious: Calamari 8/10: Flavorful but could use a bit more crispiness. Korean Short Ribs 10/10: Sweet, savory, and perfectly balanced with each bite. Lobster Bruschetta 9/10: Fantastic, though I would ve preferred the lobster salad to be warm. Coconut Shrimp 10/10: Just perfect. Sticky Toffee Pudding 10/10: Truly in a league of its own! Service (Kaleigh): 10/10 Our server, Kaleigh, was amazing attentive, friendly, and very professional. She recommended all the dishes we tried, and her suggestions were spot on. The DJ was great. I was there last night to celebrate a birthday- most of our food was on the colder side. Our server forgot to put one of my friends order in- he got his food after all of us finished eating. The food takes a long time to come out. Overall I would likely not return due to this expensive, especially when I consider how expensive everything is.

The place is pricier but worth the money. The food was absolutely delicious, my friend who can be picky about authentic butter chickens absolutely loved it! I got the lobster fettuccine and it was delicious! My other friend got the squash and added steak and loved it. The atmosphere was so warm and our server was so much fun and so nice! He was attentive but also gave us our space. We went on a Sunday and got live music! Our server also showed us where we could take photos for my friend s birthday. Overall it was such an amazing time. 100% recommendations.

Overall, my friends and I had a great time at the mansion. We came all the way from Scarborough to eat here. We all ordered separate menu items like the steak, fettuccine pasta, etc. The minute we got there the server seemed to have this negative energy with her. We all came to this agreement from the jump. We got there and we could feel that the server was judging us. She did her job well but it s not just about doing your job. It s about making guest feel welcomed and comfortable and our server just did not do that. Excluding the service, the food was amazing. The asparagus on the steak could ve been cooked a bit more but everything else was great! The owner was very kind and was telling us more about the restaurant because we were very curious and there was also a magician who showed up at our table and did great entertaining our table! We would 100% come back.

It was the perfect evening. Parking was difficult because the restaurant was really busy but you really cant expect any different for a Saturday night. We ordered the butter chicken dish and enjoyed it immensely. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice alternative the mainstream restaurant like The Keg or Moxies etc .

My family and I went for the first time after hearing a lot of positive reviews! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Music was a little loud for my elderly family members, but we really enjoyed the music selection and the live sax player was amazing! Food was very good, however a little heavy on the sauce for the mushroom ravioli and vegetarian stir fry. Its possibly just a personal preference, but would have enjoyed the food more with less sauce :) Overall, a very great experience!

This place has a great elevated atmosphere. Good food. Fancy Toronto-Style drinks. Perfect for a night out. Melanie our server was awesome! Highly recommend!

Hosted a Jack-n-Jill party at Mansion basement venue, and had the time of our lives with friends and family! The venue itself presented really well; spacious, clean and modern.. we were even able to choose our lighting/layout! Victor was our bartender and his service was outstanding; was on top of all our concerns, was friendly with our guests and got food and drink orders out in no time. Sairah also helped the coordination process easy few days leading up to the event. Food was a hit (everyone loved the beef sliders), drinks and bottle service were smooth. Hands down one of the best places to host a party in Durham . They run a good show! Thank you Mansion for a great time!

We enjoyed my sisters bday here and had a fabulous experience!!! Tracy took the best care of our large group. I really appreciated that she spoke with the kitchen about the sliders, as a couple of guests didnt enjoy them. Both the kitchen and Tracy looked after our concerns to ensure a great lunch. Had reservations for 930pm, hostess instructed us to wait for a table regardless although many tables were available. After we got seated we did not see a waiter or anyone for 20 mins, no one offered us water or a drink. We ended up leaving and went another restaraunt

We recently celebrated my husband s 50th birthday at Mansion Kitchen + Bar and I had to take a moment to review the exceptional service we received from start to finish. Sin was an absolute gem in helping us execute our vision for the food, the drink menu, and the atmosphere and we couldn t have been happier with the outcome. Our bar staff, Victor, Melayna and Maryann, went above and beyond to not only ensure our guests were well served, but that my husband and I were taken care of too. They checked in often, as did the manager on site, to keep things running smoothly. Not only that, but I could see how much they were enjoying themselves too. A wonderful experience and a level of service that will bring us back for many more events!

First visit - love the decor - sat in the bar area. Tracy was a terrific sever. Very attentive and honest with the menu selections. Will be back!

First and foremost ... Jamie our server made our night. We had already been to Mansion so we knew the food was great :) Last time we sat in the dining room and this time the bar area... both great options. A night of appetizers ... escargot, edamame, pork gyoza and the soup of the day broccoli cheddar. All were very very good. Thanks ... and see you soon

I have to give them 5 out 5 stars on all points! The food presentation was beautiful. I had the calamari to start and the salmon with mash and asparagas for my entree. Both were well seasoned and exceeded my expectations with a good sized portion for me to bring home to enjoy the next day The ambiance is gorgeous and is giving upscale, yet comfortable with cushy seating and dimmed lighting. Lastly, the service was impeccable. Very refreshing as many restaurants are lacking in this area. Our server was attentive, timely, and also able to make menu recommendations. I cant wait to return! I would recommend this for dining with friends or for a date night. Vegetarian options: Lots of great options for salads and pescatarian options also!

I hosted my 30th birthday dinner at the Mansion and my experience was 10/10. It was my first time coming to the restaurant, after hearing positive reviews about the food. So, I knew I had to host my birthday there. Saira was super sweet to work with and so helpful in booking the venue. She always answered my inquiries promptly and thoroughly. The service was amazing! Our servers for the night (Melayna and Crystal) were so sweet and so helpful the entire night. The food was so delicious and so flavorful, and the price was affordable. Definitely a 10/10!! Guests were raving about how good the food was! The dishes I loved and would recommend are: Wings, Jerk Chicken Spring Rolls, Chicken/Beef Sliders, Spicy Penne Pasta, Chicken Alfredo, Spaghetti a la mer, and the meat platter! I ll definitely be coming back to try more of the other foods! The atmosphere was perfect! The upper level penthouse was beautiful, and the cozy fireplace was a crowd favourite! I highly recommend hosting your next event at the Mansion!

Came to mansion for a wedding this Saturday. Have to say, the service was exceptional and phenomenal. Victor, Maryann & Alex was top quality. Genuine servers who entertained us the entire night. Victor was hilarious and amazing behind the bar. Kept up with all the orders and drinks, and Maryann + Alex was constantly making sure we were taken care of. Took pictures with everyone, music was great, drinks were delicious, definitely recommend the place to anyone who wants to come for a night out. Special shoutout to mansion; the staff, management, everyone. Can t wait to be back again soon. Thank you for making the night even more special than it already was. Staff are true assets to Mansion.

Went with a friend and had only appetizers for a taste of everything. Hot food was really good, had the calamari and duck speducci. Seasoned well and light. The cold food was okay, charcuterie board is simple (deli slices, cheeses, olives, jam, honey, etc), and smoked salmon crostini was an open faced sandwich on two pieces of when we assumed small bites. Drinks were good, strong! Dessert was good as well, loved them both, pistachio tartufo and sticky toffee pudding. Jamie was our server and was fantastic, gave good recommendations and accommodated in anyway she can. Loved her energy

Went for our first time to celebrate our son s birthday. The service was wonderful. Kamal (I hope I spelled it right) was friendly and kind, and made us feel welcome. The food was delicious. It was my son s first time trying lamb, and he is still raving about it 2 days later! All of our meals were seasoned beautifully, just the steaks were a little overdone. Honestly, the flavours were so good, and the meat so tender, we barely noticed. Only mild complaint is the noise level, but everything else more than made up for that! We will definitely return! This was my first time dining at this establishment. It was for a birthday celebration. It was a Saturday evening. I make my reservations weeks ago. The place was busy. It was mentioned that they are short staffed. I am not sure if I would return. The experience didn t leave a good impression. Slow service Had to ask several times for the tables to be cleared to make room for the other dishes, Had to flag down other waiter/ waitresses to attend us as could not locate our waitress. At one point one of my guest helped the staff cleared the table. There was so much platters and plates cluttering the table. More food is brought out and the table is not being cleared. Ordered our last platter and it took over 30mins by then it had to get packed to go. Was told that we had to finish up our party because the room was needed in the next 30mins- waitress disappeared. Guests waiting for their respective bills for a long time Had to ask several times who and where our server was as they had not come to greet nor attend to the table. Had to ask for water for the table multiple times Placed order for drinks - tremendous wait time and only half the table got their drinks. The drinks were inconsistent. Some was strong while others was like juice. I was told the rum punch was really good. It wasn t it. It was like a fruit juice with no rum to be found in it. We waited up until an hour for pop. The guest of honor had to wait for his drink. He got special attention and served more timely manner. Ordered 2 desserts to go (crème brûlée & sticky toffee pudding)long wait times and no follow up as to the status of the order - had to follow up. Was told by staff that the order was mistakenly given away and the kitchen was preparing another one. Sticky toffee dessert came out along with ice cream but no creme brûlée, waitress said it would be out shortly. Upon preparing to depart, realizing still haven t gotten the Creme Brûlée, went to the manager and was told that it was sold out - Offered to replace it with any dessert of choice Pros: Manager stepped up and offered quick service - taking food orders, checking in to ensure things were okay, bringing extra utensils, rectifying the desert mishap. Food- Wings platter, jerk chicken spring rolls There a DJ playing music and it was good. It was a club vibe

I live in the area and have always wanted to try this restaurant and finally did for lunch on Sunday. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very helpful suggesting different dishes. We decided to order a variety of appetizers. Everything was absolutely delicious. Beef sliders, Coconut shrimp, short ribs, chickpea fries Our least favourite was the lobster bruschetta, but that s just our opinion as with that type of appetizer, you can t really taste the lobster because of the mayonnaise and seasonings that being said, we were very, very pleased with this lunch and will definitely be back

They did many things to make a few minor things right. Food was delicious. Steak was over done but as I said, they made it right ( and I ate the steak, was delicious). Bar portion seemed to have a big delay, but the cocktails are well presented and worth a bit of wait. Decent wine options. I will go back.
