great service,food was really awesome. I had the enchiladas my husband had. The truffle rangoo or something and we also had the pretzel bites. They were really good

Ordered Beef Dip and it was inundated with grizzle. Could not chew or swallow and had to spit out. Do not understand why a chef in a restaurant so highly regarded would have such a disregard for quality and serve food that was edible. Server told me I should have sent it back. Do not do that. Who knows what the chef might do to your food. Side Caesar was good. Portions are small. Manager should have come to the table and rectified the situation. Last time I eat at State and Main.

Had a steak but lots of grisle. Brean pudding was good.

Had an amazing experience. A great atmosphere that even when busy, is quiet and a wonderful place.to meet and catch up with friends, family or work colleagues. They truly care, so please if you are not in love with your experience let them know! Happy we gave the another chance!

Ok so I ordered the Royal Bangkok Bowl, and presentation just looked very boring and plain, it did not look appetizing. Now let s get to the taste, it felt like something was missing, it tasted very bland and not a restaurant worthy meal. Moving on to the next meal that is a bit pricier and also not very tasty. This item is called Honey glazed Cajun Chicken. The chicken tasted very bland and not juicy and the glaze barely helped the god awful taste of the meat, the only good thing on the plate was the fries and the dipping sauce. Don t ever come here.

Sat at the bar for lunch today, and the food and service was fantastic. Bartender was personable, knowledgeable, and made sure I was looked after. Food was amazing as well. Will definitely be back.

Waited 30 minutes after being seated at 6.15 pm on a Sunday. No staff, no service so left. Restaurant was not busy with many empty tables. Very disappointing and could not reccomend to anyone.

We were excited about trying a new restaurant, but unfortunately our experience was off from the start the moment we walked in. Despite standing there for well over 8 to 9 minutes not a single staff member acknowledged us, no greeting, no I will be with you in a moment we were left standing there, it just got really awkward and weird so we left.

I was a bit disappointed as they have a vegetarian menu but they didn t give it to the table when we were seated and I had to go through their regular menu to figure out what I could eat (I m vegan). It wasn t until ordering the veggie burger and finding out that they were out of the patties that I was then offered their vegetarian menu, which is their regular menu with chicken soy options instead of meat. This could ve just been listed on the general menu to be more inclusive. Or at least offer the vegetarian menu to all tables from the start. Don t assume everyone in your restaurant eats meat.

Had a great time here. Friendly staff, good drinks/food and nice ambience. Would definitely recommend this place for quick bite and drinks.

Food was okay. Chicken sandwich was dry and really over cooked. Tuna poke bowl was decent but too heavy on the sauce. Soy substitute for protein was good. Vegetarian options: They had a soy chicken substitute for protein. It was good and could be added to a lot of their dishes instead of meat.

The food was subpar steak was okay but my mashed potatoes were sour and soupy. There were flies in my drink as seen in the picture and whatever the white stuff floating around in there. Service was okay my husband said the bison burger was good. I probably won t be back.

I came in on Saturday evening with my daughter to enjoy a nice meal. And there was plastic in my daughter s burger while she was eating it !!! I don t recommend this location.

Really great place, especially love going here before going to a movie next door. Servers are always super friendly and helpful, food is great, and it has a very relaxed atmosphere. They also easily accommodated my last-minute request for a patio table. Also very clean! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Have to say that Ive never left a restaurant without ordering a drink. First time here and the place was less than half full. After 14 minutes no one had even taken our drink order, so we walked out. So much for an anniversary dinner! Wont be back here EVER!

Came here on a Thursday evening and there was only two people sitting at the Bartop including myself. I had just finished my first drink waiting for another. My glass must of been sitting empty for a good 15 minutes as the bartender kept pouring drinks for other tables and giving other tables their bills. I had to go grab her attention so i could get the bill. Bartender should be more attentive to people sitting at the bar.

This is our local haunt! We have been many times and with my wife being handicapped in a wheelchair, this is a truly accessible restaurant. The manager Mark has created a great atmosphere and this shows with the staff! Its always great to come through the door and see Shauna and be greeted with a friendly hello! They remember our names and our preferences. And Victoria as well, has been great to us all the time! Great food and great service! And good sized portions too. I love the Cobb Salad and the various items like burgers, fish tacos, and .... OMG ... the Bang Bang Shrimp! Yum! Highly recommended and especially if you are handicapped. They have a large, separate Family/Handicapped washroom which is easy to maneuver in. So ... great food, great staff, and great location! Go see! Recommended. Parking: Large parking lot on the south-west side of the Pickering Town Centre near the theatre. At least five or six handicap spots in front of the restaurant or nearby. Wheelchair accessibility: Flat accessibility from the sidewalk in front with automatic doors with push-button access. Inside the aisles are wide and the tables have posts that the chair can easily be pushed under. Patio is easily accessible too. Push-button access to a large family wasshroom, with grab-bars and a roll-under sink.

Got that chicken sandwich and it was just actually perfect.

I went with my parents earlier this evening to celebrate their Wedding Anniversay. We had a great server named Daniela who took care of all our needs. Weve been to this location before and have had lovely meals there. On this occasion my Father ordered a medium cooked Sirloin and when it arrived it turned out to be rare. When we brought this up to Daniela she was very apologetic and said she will take care of us. Afterward a man whom we believe was the manager came out shortly with the steak further cooked with a side of fresh cut fries with his apologies and right there offered free desserts for the table. Needless to say we were very appreciative of their overwhelming gestures to right the situation. Thank you Daniela and the staff at the Pickering location for all you did. We will be back again soon!! BTW my Moms Sirloin was cooked to perfection and my Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl was scrumptious!!

I m quite the regular at this establishment and the service is beyond exceptional. At the bar i am greeted and served expeditiously! My praise goes out to extraordinary work of the bartenders Lisa, Ang, and Kayla! I always feel welcomed by them. I also commend the swift work by the kitchen for their accuracy in completing my orders. Their kitchen manager is doing Gods work back there. By no means does this prevent me from recognizing the spectacular work and cordial efforts of the manager Noelle. I have never been to a restaurant with such an approachable manager. Lastly, as a retired dish washer/line cook, i provide my final acknowledgements to Genesis, thank you for your hard work. These people have made this location a regular spot for eats in Pickering.

Wow, When my goldfish, Jeffery, passed away the other week, I knew I had to cheer myself up. I and a couple of my friends decided to have a dinner night out. Where did we choose? Obviously State & Main located in the lovely PTC area. We entered the establishment and instantly were greeted by the lovely Cass. Cass service was not just good, it was magnificent. Cass was able to make me forget about my goldfish perishing. In fact, during my visit I even briefly forgot about my goldfish. With her quick service and lovely attitude, I had an excellent evening with my friends. Thank you so much Cass, and rest in peace Jeffery.

Took my niece here for a lunch outing and was blown away from our experience! I was a bit nervous as my niece can be extremely picky with her eating habits, however our server Cass went above and beyond to accommodate and truly made our lunch so memorable. My son and I had lunch today, and we had the pleasure of having Victoria as our server. She was very attentive and accommodating, especially when my son changed his mind about his meal. He said he liked her jokes. We had the fish and chips, large fish portion with the delicious dill sauce for the fries. My son had the kids chicken tenders, which was also a large portion.

My girlfriends and I had the absolute pleasure of dining here on the May long weekend. It was our first visit and, thanks to Arjun, we will definitely be back. Arjun is the type of sever who spends time with each table, provides feedback on foods, suggests food/drink combinations and gives you 100% of his attention. Based on his service, I will be visiting many times over and will always seek out his service. I hope management realizes the gem they have.

I went here for an early Father s Day celebration with a large group. Our server, Isabella handled everything wonderfully and made sure our experience was excellent. Food was delivered in a timely manner, drinks were almost instantly being refilled when asked. Every time I thought about ordering it was as if Isabella read my mind and was right there for us! The bang bang shrimp was cooked to perfection, hats off to the fry cooks. Would definitely recommend this place!

I have been here a few times now & have enjoyed it each time. Food is ok but what surprised me was the service, it was pretty quick given how packed they can get there. Although the food is pricey it s decent. Props go out to Cassandra our server she was kind, courteous & always smiling when she works. I really enjoyed my night at this location! I don t come to this location often but I was pleasantly surprised how nice the atmosphere, food and service was! Daniella was our server and she was amazing. She was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed to have an amazing dinning experience. I would highly recommend her as a server for anyone looking to dine here. Food was delicious and consistent as always! Very pleased.

My hubby and I came here for dinner for the first time before our movie date and had a fabulous time! Lisa was our bartender who went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience for us. I m EXTREMELY picky about my dirty martinis however Lisa listened and made it perfectly. The food she recommended to us added to our urge of wanting to come back. My and some of my girlfriends went for lunch today, service was quick and prompt. I got the chicken club which was great, shrimp app was good aswell. Friends plate had hair pn it, was quickly fixed and compted on the bill

My husband and I dined here last Friday and we sat at the bar. Meagan and Lisa were our bartenders and they are fantastic, the service is always excellent! The food and drinks were great, we will be coming back!

Went there for dinner. Service was great. However the food was below average considering how pricy it was. The chicken was the most boring chicken I have ever had. The only highlight was the fries. My husband had the signature burger, he was not impressed with it as well.

Im a realtor and often take my clients out for a treat. Was here few weeks ago. Not much to choose for food on the menu. Under staffed. Long waits between service. Huge selection of cocktails. Overall, not worth the money. (No value for money). Better off dining at CHUUK Pickering than this place.

Had such a friendly server and the food was great! Honestly been to the restaurant twice in 1 week and was not disappointed. Food came on time and when my order came with regular fries instead of sweet potato fries, the turn around time to bring me my sweet potato fries was on point! Great experience and highly recommend for a great atmosphere and food!

Took my son for a treat this weekend and was really let down. Order our drinks and it took over 20 min to receive them. Had to ask the hostess where our drinks were because we hadnt even seen our server. Had about 3 different people serve us too. I had ordered a water with my drink and never received it the whole meal! The server even walked by and said oh yes, your water and still never bothered. Ive been here a few times and although the food is pretty good the service is always lacking. Especially compared to some of the nearby resturants.

First time at Station and Main. Watch the opening ceremonies of the MLB All - Star game! Michaela was an awesome bartender host, very attentive. Upon recommendation from the bartender, we split an order of the Baja fish tacos and the tuna poke bowl! Outstanding! Seasonal beer on tap was Tank Waterloo IPA and Hop City North of 41. Always taste better from the keg! Went back again to catch the Maple Leafs. Shared the enchilada and had a 21ozer. It was more than enough food for two. Hayden the bartender was on top of everything! Back once again, and was able to sit at the bar and see the Toronto Blue Jays AND Game two of the World Curling Championships. Had the shrimp taco and the enchiladas! More than enough food for two people to share! Had the shrimp taco garlic aioli on the side along with the enchiladas lime crema on the side. Pretty tasty on the fries! Noelle the bartender was super nice and very attentive to our needs. There was no empty seats at the bar, and she manage to tend to everyone! Back again to watch the Maple Leafs and celebrate St. Patricks Day early! Had the Pacific Rim Noodle Bowl, definitely a share bowl. Nothing left, broth was very good! Had the enchiladas, but had to bring half home! Cheers to the Irish, here is my Guinness! Parking: Michaela did an amazing job, again! Super busy TONIGHT, not usually here on a Saturday night.

Came here for wing night and I have to say that I was really quite disappointed. The only highlight here was the pint of PINEAPPLE NINJA WHEAT which I had ordered. We had ordered a TITOS MULE which had no lime flavour, was weak, filled with ice so you couldnt even taste the ginger beer. The waitress did the absolute bare minimum and I am not sure why as it was not really that busy when we arrived. The food was deplorable (if you look at my reviews, you can gauge how fair I am to establishments). We tried the SOUP DUMPLINGS for a starter and they overcooked, dry and had very little liquid inside. Truthfully I wasnt expecting something fabulous had a main stream restaurant and ordering a very specific Asian appetizer but nonetheless you have to think that if its on the menu they should be doing mediocre decent job with it. This couldve been farther from the truth. Ordered 2 orders of wings - salt and pepper; this was actually worse. 8 wings the size of my thumb, over fried to the point where the meat was shrivelling off the bone and tough to chew - 1 carrot + celery stick. It was a bad experience and while I wanted desperately wanted wing night to be just good old fashioned wings and beer - it was far from it!

If I could give this place a zero I would. For the cost of what you are paying the food is not worth it anymore. I have been to this place a couple of times and it has gone downhill. Ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich Nashville Hot. The chicken was burnt and the Nashville hot was more like Nashville NOT. The sandwich has absolutely no spice at all. The Brussel sprouts were not cooked through. We decided to skip dessert and just go home. I think the only good thing about this place was the server. He was really nice. Other than that I am sure that you can find a better place to go and spend your money.

Easily one of my favourite franchise restaurants in the area! The food was delicious, portions great, service was unforgettable! The ambiance was lovely and the Valentines Day special was well worth it. They were courteous and regularly checked on us, took our photo and even made us an extra pasta when we forgot our dish and came back 20 minutes later (we were in the area).

We had 8 for dinner. Our server was friendly and efficient. The first time for our group to have dinner here. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I highly recommend the salmon and everyones dietary requests were met. Thank you. My adult children say this is their go to restaurant now. Food was good but potions were a little small

Went here for dinner with some friends. It was a summer evening so got to sit in the patio which was good! they had some specials going on. Food here is not very great, everything was the sweet side. Parm fries - only ting tat was amazing! and may be i will come back for more. Dragon boat lettuce wrap - average, it had sweet sauce Honey glazed cajun chicken - obviously its gonna be sweet but there was no cajun seasoning. felt like chicken was dipped in honey. teriyaki rice bowl - too sweet. Fish taco - only thing that wasn t sweet. it was okay. bang bang shrimp - was good. Service was good. Ambience was lovely.

Not impressed. Portions were small for big price! Bison burger was tough and chewy. Too much batter on fish taco- very little fish. Will not be going back.

Love the Cajun chicken. Absolutely tasty. Only suggestion is to need a larger menu selection. It was tough finding what s good.

The service was okay, the food was also okay. Im still not sure if I will be comming back here again or not. I have nothing bad to say at all! The pasta was okay, more on the bland side in my opinion, and I wish it were more saucey. The Honey Creole Chicken was good but I wish the portions were slightly bigger. The drinks on the other hand were awesome and tasted great! Their Jalapeno Mac&Cheese shareable was very nice and the hint of jalapeno definitely made the dish awesome and unique!

The Pickering State & Main has become my go to restaurant. The food and service never disappoint! Today, I was serviced by Shauna who is top notch Shes friendly, prompt and her recommendations have never been wrong.

I had an excellent time here with my wife and son. The food was cooked perfectly all around, it came hot and fresh, and the service was excellent. As an individual who enjoys dining out as a pastime, I find it incredibly difficult to find this level of service almost anywhere on a regular basis. Thank you for doing dinner right.

This was my first visit to State & Main Pickering. I was very pleased with our server, she was fantastic. Food was good, maybe a tad overpriced for a restaurant located off a mall. Atmosphere was clean and modern. My only note would be to get big with Christmas decor. I barely noticed it was decorated for the season. Its a great place to go for happy hour with work colleagues but you might not even notice the place. I think Xmas is a great time to pump up the visual impact with abundant greenery. Get a commercial decorator!!

I ordered the dragon boat lettuce dish and when it arrived the lettuce was not washed and it had little Flys and bugs stuck to it. Disgusting and disappointing, purely lazy.

Hosted a surprise birthday for my mom there last night! The service was lovely and the staff were very attentive. They were also very accommodating on changes to my party and the management was so supportive

Bad experience Overall on Saturday night. Servers not really attentive and respectful at all. Nobody even greet us when we entered the premises. They Took us granted even though we had reservation. Not recommended for larger group.

Visited this location yesterday for dinner. Atmosphere was nice and the food was good. The service is what was lacking at this location. The servers were very nice however the service just took way too long. We placed an order for 2 appetizers and we saw a table in front of us be seated and receive their mains before we even received our appetizers which was frustrating. The same table also enjoyed their mains and settled their bill before we were even served our mains which again was frustrating. The food was good, appetizers were hot and fresh and mains were good, but the service is what really made the experience not so good. Not sure if we will visit this location again.
