I had a fantastic time at The Social Bar, all thanks to bartender Alli! She makes the best pineapple daiquiri . its a must !!!! try! Plus, shes so pretty and brings such good vibes to the place. Definitely recommend visiting and enjoying a drink made by her!

This place is fantastic! As with anywhere it begins with the service, and the staff here is on point. They are very attentive and friendly. The food is absolutely delicious, I had the lobster ravioli which had one of the most amazing sauces Ive ever tried. The atmosphere is classy/trendy and definitely feels upscale. I highly recommend coming here if you enjoy great service and fantastic food. Its upscale but worth every cent.

Had a lovely lunch here. We ordered the nachos, crab cakes, penne pasta, shrimp tacos and gnocchi. The spicy creole shrimp mac and cheese was amazing!!! Ally was our server, polite and made us feel welcomed!

We went for dinner with some friends to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Our waitress Shereesha was very good. She offered us recommendations, she was attentive and very sweet. She was quick and checked on us often and very friendly. We really enjoyed our visit. The food was tasty. Especially the hoisin beef nachos made with wontons instead of tortilla chips. I had the parpadelle with short ribs, my husband had the jerk chicken Alfredo, our friends had the seafood linguini and the hunters chicken. Everything tasted great. We all enjoyed our cocktails. Because it s advertised as a lounge, we thought there might be live music but they did have a good playlist going. Overall we were very happy and hope to be back.

I had the pasta with beef on top with the 50 shades of purple drink. Looking forward to going back. The dish and drink were great!

The vibe of this place is absolutely amazing! Its such a happening bar in our very own neighborhood... drinks were great , we didnt have much food to try...just the nachos, which were ok! There are not a lot of veggie options but a great place to hang out with friends!

We ordered the Calamari, Truffle Fries, Jerk Chicken Alfredo and Steak. The appetizers were savory and delicious. The mains were also delicious but on the oily side but other than that I would definitely recommend.

The food was amazing!! We started off with the Mushroom Truffle flatbread which was definitely a party in your mouth! So many fresh flavours and the perfect ingredients to bring out the explosion of flavour of the truffle! Next was the Jerk Chick alfredo and yet another party of flavours. The jerk chicken sauce paired amazingly well with the alfredo and neither was over powering the other, it was a great collaboration! The chicken itself was perfectly cooked and was the perfect tenderness! The last thing we had was a side poutine where the fries were perfectly crispy, sooo many cheesy pulls and the flavour of the peppercorn sauce and gravy were unimaginable!

This review is from February/March 2023. Im extremely disappointed with our last experience at this restaurant. My husband and I had visited the weekend before and had a fantastic time - great food, amazing drinks, kind servers, and a wonderful Downtown Toronto ambiance. One of the owners even stopped by for a chat. However, our return visit the following weekend was a disaster. The service was appalling, and it felt like our server was intentionally trying to ruin our evening. It took 30 minutes to receive our food, and the server was nowhere to be found. When I finally tracked her down, she apologized and offered complimentary food and dessert. However, the food was inedibly spicy, and the dessert arrived after another lengthy wait. What was most unsettling was the servers constant blame-shifting to the kitchen staff or other servers. She implied she was part of management, yet continued to serve us poorly. We didnt come for free food; our previous bill was over $200, and we were willing to pay again. Unfortunately, the servers attempts to rectify the situation only made things worse. We left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and confused. Its a shame, as we really enjoyed our first visit. However, based on this experience, we wont ever be returning.

When this establishment first opened , my familys had a great experience, food was amazing with the filipino Fusion! Portion was generous and priced well! Fast forward a year later 2024 Sept 13/24) it seems I m speculating owner change , menu is slightly more pricey and portions are smaller and staff are sneaky! Had dinner with a group of friends long story short , gratuity is automatically applied on your bill groups more then 8/10 fine , be aware ! The server does not mention to the customer therefore you may tip them on top of the automatic 18% that they apply! So ask for your bill! Check the fine print! I am customers are not aware they re being taken advantage . I won t mention the staff name your establishment need to be honest I won t be returning neither as my friends

There was 10 of us in a group. Server took our orders and was fine, however the server not once checked up on us (as the normal thing to do when youre serving in a restaurant) throughout our time at there. Come to find out why he didnt check up on us. Gratuity was included on each of our bills. We all paid our bills before noticing that gratuity was included. The server not once advise us that gratuity was included. He just gave us the bill and we paid and acknowledged gratuity was included after we paid except a couple people in our group recognized that gratuity was included. Most of us asked for our tip $ back and they refunded to us no problem. The principle of this is that the servers need to advise customers that gratuity is included. It was 18% gratuity (for not great service) AND I still tipped 18% even though service wasnt good. Im sorry but if you are not providing good service, there should not be grauity included. Cmon DO BETTER guys!

We had a wonderful time eating here. They offer so much variety and selection and every single item tasted incredible. And most importantly, Rutvik who served us was the highlight of the experience. He gave us the best service and was so patient and friendly with us and he truly made the dining experience so enjoyable! I highly recommend this place.

We arrived mid afternoon for lunch... close to 2:30 p.m., so we were really hungry. Its very clean and staff are friendly. The server brought us water and took drinks orders. We finished our water and drinks before the server took our food order, although it was not busy. Whatever... we remained friendly. I ordered the house salad ($14) with herb crusted salmon (add $12). My son ordered the jerk chicken alfredo and my daughter-in-law had the halloumi burger. When our food arrived, my meal was wrong. They brought me the herb crusted salmon meal with a side house salad ($32). If they would have offered to let me have that meal for the price of what I had ordered, I would have been happy to keep it rather than have them waste it, but I am, by nature, very non-confrontational and they took it away. My son and daughter-in-law ate their meal, at my insistance, so it would not get cold and really... how long could it possibly take to make a salad? But it took so long for my meal to come that a couple of times they actually said How long does it take to make a salad?. They were both close to finished eating by the time my meal arrived. The salmon was good, but the salad was the worst salad I have ever had. The produce was not fresh and there was so much salad dressing on it it was barely edible. I ate some of it because I was hungry but got to a point where I just couldnt eat it. My son tried it but also could not eat it. When the waitress came to collect our plates (never having done a quality check), I complained that the salad was terrible, and way over dressed, pointing out the puddle of dressing in the plate and asked her for a discount. Which took a lot for me because I never complain. In reality, after the issue with receiving the wrong meal, I expected her to deduct the full price of the salad from our bill, but they offered a 20% discount only on the salad. So, I hope the $2.80 discount is worth this review. We will never return to that restaurant. (Both of the other meals were delicious.)

Great menu selection, something for absolutely everyone! Food was delivered in a timely manner and nothing was amiss. Our server was Teresa and she was very kind, welcoming and helpful in recommending menu options and serving sizes. We were also given a free birthday dessert as we were celebrating one in the family which was nice (warm brownie and vanilla ice cream). The Use Cheesecake is so unique and a must-try!

Chose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. We ordered the calamari and truffle fries to start, and had to send the calamari back right away. The smell and colour was off as soon as it arrived. You could tell it was fried in old (dark) oil. We got the bruschetta instead. It was fine. For our mains, we got the lamb chops and seafood linguine. The lamb chops were covered in bbq sauce? And the potatoes and veggies were soaked in oil. We didnt finish the meal. Severely overpriced for the quantity (2 small chops) and quality of the food. The linguine was no better - the mussels tasted spoiled. Didnt finish that meal either. We opted to have dessert at another restaurant instead of wasting more money here. Not sure if it was just a bad night, but I would not recommend this restaurant, nor will I ever return. Happy birthday to me! :/

Jaidyn and Jordan are the main reason I come to the social, they are engaging and always remember what I like, they make sure my glass is not empty(very important), and they also know when I should stop and relax before I go home, this in itself is enough for me to be regular. If I walk I and neither of them are there the atmosphere is different. Shout out to Jaidyn and Jordan for Keeping my Stella s cold

Ordered $32 salmon that smelled horrible and served with old quinoa sticking together. Ordered a pineapple juice with soda with no fizz or taste. Will not be returning or recommending.

The appetizers during happy hour were absolutely exceptional. Our waitress, Jaiden, went above and beyond with her outstanding service, making our experience truly delightful.

The server was nice, but I didn t enjoy the food. There were also some service issues, like forgotten requests and receiving the wrong meal. I ordered the salmon with pad thai. The salmon was dry and bland, but the pad thai tasted really good. The only problem was that the pad thai portion was way too small, which isn t something I expect from a place like this. The calamari was also chewy and unremarkable. If you plan on going here, I would steer clear of any seafood options they have. But I probably just wouldn t visit all together.

Went in hoping to have a great first experience after reading up on the reviews when it comes to the menu ! I brought a friend ,we got seated the place had a nice atmosphere and it wasnt busy only a few guests but after waiting 15 mins to be asked what we wanted to drink and watching the 2 servers attend to the other customers multiple times we decided to leave . Make me dread to think how long it would have taken to get food .

Have been ordering the same item from ubereats for so long, but today I was so disappointed. Clearly mentioned in the order that no beef, like always. But this time they did not read my order. And then no one picks up the call! Very very disappointing

We arrived around 1030pm and were told that it would be a wait time of approximately 20-30 minutes. We were directed to go to the bar and someone would get us. At the bar, it told forever to get served and our shots made. Also the bar was very wet to due ceiling the leaking. After it took 30 minutes to receive 4 shots, observed the restaurant very empty, we inquired about our table. They totally forgot about us. At that point we left and went to Mansion down the road and the service was completely opposite. The Social Bar does not live up to the hype as observed on Instagram.

Had a get togeather with friends June 21st and they over charged me. I called the resturant to rectify the situation several times. I have yet to receive a call back. We all work hard for our money and I choose to patronize their establishment and they do not have the decency to follow up after leaving several messages. I will never go back to the resturant. It Is clear they dont appreciate my business nor do they value me as a customer. I am still waiting for the phone call from management I need my refund.

Came for my birthday with my family, I had a New York striploin with an Old Fashioned to drink, steak was great a perfect medium and the drink was nice, my server Rutvik was absolutely perfect, he brought me a birthday desert, he s one the best servers I ve ever had, absolute 10/10. The interior of the restaurant was a bit hot so an AC would be nice, overall great bday restaurant! Will come back later.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is nice, with edgy neon lights adding a cool vibe. However, the nachos weren t my favorite as they were surprisingly sweet though that might be a personal preference. The classic Caesar was delicious. It was very crowded, and we ended up sitting at the bar, it was also hard to get the bartender s attention. We ll visit again at a less busy time and try something different, hoping for a better experience.

Came here for my husbands birthday dinner and we had about 14 guests. The food was perfect - brisket grilled cheese is 10/10. But I m leaving this review for Melanie because never have I ever been so impressed with a server. I asked her how long she s been doing this and she said two weeks - thus, this review, cause someone has to tell her! She handled every order, forgot nothing, was kind, was always there, remembered exactly how to split the bills and she had a whole section aside from us to take care of as well and handled it with grace. I saw this place on Instagram and decided to give it a try. I must say, I am extremely impressed with this restaurant. Its a fantastic setting for both groups and couples. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the customer service is excellent especially from my server, Judy. The menu offers a wide variety of options, making it delightfully difficult to choose. I ended up ordering BBQ ribs with mac and cheese, chicken penne pasta, and for dessert, homestyle churros with deep-fried ice cream. Everything was a 10/10! I would highly recommend what I ordered. I definitely will be back next time to try out other foods on the menu that caught my attention. Keep it up!

Good place to hangout with friends.

Went for dinner yesterday and our server was great! One of our family members had mobility issues and the server was so kind and attentive which made the experience that much better. Food wise I ordered the jerk chicken alfredo. I love spice and this was a bit too spicy. The chicken was more so all pepper which masked any flavour but the actual pasta and alfredo sauce was great. The One Hot Mess cocktail was delish!! Id go back just for that and next time make it a double. Atmosphere was really nice as well. We sat inside but the patio has TVs as well so good option for people who want to sit outside. Will definitely be back, maybe during the NBA Finals or the Euros to see what the vibe is during sports events.

The service was awful. We sat for 30 with no drinks. The waitress was so slow. We also ordered food and she bought us one of our appetizers but no plates no napkins and no cutlery. Our table was taken over by another waitress and she told us she was going to give us 50% off of one of our appetizers and when the bill came she said she could not. I called the restaurant during the afternoon (non peak hours) to book the party room for a birthday well in advance. I was told this booking requires a $250 deposit to confirm the reservation, which is all fine. The employee advised that a manager will give me a call later in the day to take the deposit via credit card. They also advised that my booking is not confirmed until deposit is made. I did not receive a call as promised that day. I called back the following day to follow up and a different employee answered and said the same stuff. Ill need to talk to a manager to make a deposit to reserve the room to which I explained that I called the day before and received no call back. They reassured me that the manager will call me that same day for sure. Again, no phone call so I called back a few days later and AGAIN, the same spheal from a different employee. I called back a fourth time a little frustrated and let the employee know that I am trying to make a deposit so that I have this booking reserved. She was polite and advised that she texted the manager so I should hear back within a day or two. How frustrating!!!!! The fact that I made four attempts to reserve a room and make a deposit. I am saying hey rake my money!!! Dont make the customer do so much work to book a damn reservation. Till this day, the manager hasnt called me. I am practically calling and pleading to book a room and I am being met with empty promises? DO BETTER! Youre in the SERVICE industry for God sake. The employees were nice though.

This was our second time visiting this restaurant and it did not disappoint. We had john wick as our waiter (apparently that s his Nick name) and he was amazing. He brought us our food and drinks in record time and even re made drinks that we didn t particularly love, with different ingredients. I would absolutely go again. And the nachos are to die for!!

They ve got a great menu with a good variety of food and drinks. Whats truly remarkable is the value you receive - the prices are reasonable, making it a fantastic choice for any occasion. My friends and I had an amazing experience. The food was super great and the server Rutvik was extremely professional, receptive and always checking on us if we needed anything with a great smile. He made great meal recommendations that were truly worth it.

Giving it a 4 star as it took a while for someone to greet us, my friend had to approach someone who had come to the front to grab something and didn t even say hi. And she was told there is a hostess that should be coming soon to help us. As the hostess finally greeted us, a waitress almost ran into us in a rush with no apologies. Our drinks took forever to come however our waitress was very apologetic. Her customer service was amazing & made the experience much better. She suggested items from the menu that was absolute delicious. Although it was a 4 star rating, I am willing to give it another chance as I understand it is the long weekend.

Ordered the burger with the soup of the day (French onion)and a side of mac and cheese. Burger was fine, while the soup was a little on salter side. Macaroni could do with a little more cheese. Service was good and I would come again if Im ever in the area.

The service is very fast and there s a great atmosphere. In terms of space depending where you sit you can feel a bit tightened. The staff is accommodating but there was an instance where the steak was not cooked as requested and when we told the server he didn t really know what to say nor trying to accommodate us. Being responsive to a customer s demands can improve the service. Otherwise I would recommend.

Decided to try this place out with a friend after seeing a tic toc review on it. We were sadly dissapointed with the food quality, the drinks and the service. Waited for 45 min in the parking lot after reserving our seat just for reana to tell us our spot has been taken by someone else because we didnt enter the store 2 min within their call. I would not recommend booking this restaurant. The manager was very nice and accommodating, but unfortunately they hired staff not educated in the restaurant industry. I am deeply upset with the disrespectful way reana spoke to me and my friend when we entered the store, entitled people should not serve us.

Don t waste your money on the lobster roll. There is barely any lobster meat in the roll, and it s more of a bite sized snack as opposed to a sandwich. It feels like they sprinkled the lobster as you would a garnish forgetting that this is a LOBSTER ROLL. Does not at all look like the meal promoted on their social media. Such a disappointment and feels like false advertising.

An amazing experience with my colleagues! The drinks (paloma and top shelf spicy margarita) were made so well. Shoutout to Alley for making them. As well as one of the best servers Ive had at a rsto -- PETER made the night fantastic. He was funny, attentive and provided the best hospitality service ive experienced in a while. Jaidyn Jaidyn Jaidyn is not only friendly and helpful she is wonderful all around from knowing what to eat , great pairing of drinks with food all with a smile. I think I found my new local bar.

I give it a 2 star because I think the drinks are very very overpriced. We are in Ajax not downtown Toronto. Charging someone $15 a drink is ridiculous. Food is ok. Service is slower than normal. We all ordered last night and the person who ordered first got their order last because the server forgot it. At this point admit to your mistake. I ordered the mushroom flat bread. It was cold. No taste at all. Everyone else liked their food.

Food was decent, no complaints, atmosphere was nice but service was horrible. Person was nice but waiting 15 minutes for ketchup and pepper and 15 mins between getting dessert menu and asking if we want anything on top of many other delays. On a day when theres 5 tables and two servers, I dont understand why this happened. Server was just in the back most of the time.

I came with my family on the weekend. First time here! The food was delicious! Beautiful presentation. Loved the lamb especially. And above all the service we received from Roshen was outstanding. Always positive and smiling and approachable. We will be back very soon!

The ambiance is fairly decent for a date night, however very overpriced. The happy hour doesnt start until 9:30. I found a piece of plastic in my soup, and my husband found hair in his. Our server was really attentive and apologetic. I believe the Manager/Owner came to check on us and offered to take the soup off our bill. Too overpriced, and their selection of beer wasnt the greatest. Their menu didnt match which beers they have on rotation, and both of us got 3 menus each as they were all separate. Seems unorganized. Save your money and your time. Would not recommend or be back.

The food was pretty good. If youre looking for a place to watch a game (hockey, football. Baseball etc) have some decently priced drinks and pub styled food, this is a great place to go. Not to many locals have told me about this restaurant so ill call it a hidden gem. Parking: Since the Restaurant is located at the mall there is plenty of parking spaces available

Went here with some friends for lunch. I ordered the Social Benedict and it was really tasty. Perfectly done eggs and the beef was tender and well seasoned. The best part was the tater tots. They were so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Nice atmosphere, would recommend the vegetarian taco, but the dinner was disappointing. I sent back my original chicken dinner because the meat was hard and the food was cold with no flavor and i ordered the chicken burger, and it was enjoyable.

Just celebrated two of our friends birthdays here over the weekend for brunch. Everyone enjoyed the vibe, food and dessert - ube cheesecake, yum! Definately will be back. Jordan and Alliana were awesome, very friendly and super efficient.

They serve only based on appearance of the customers ,which is very rude. Though every customer pays their bill. Even though waited in line to be seated. Server bypassed me and my friends and greeted people who just got there where even we haven t received any greetings. After a long wait we had get to be seated on the chairs in front of the bar where the chairs are moving because of uneven floor. We have asked for the cabin but the waitress told that none are available, where we can see all the cabins are empty because it is Thursday night. I don t recommend I would have rated 0* but no option.

It was my second time coming here. The first time I had the southern fried chicken sandwich and it was great! This time around, I had the lobster roll and it was just okay. My friend had the blackened salmon, she said she liked it. Our server was friendly and very attentive at the beginning but, when it came time to ask for the bill, she hadnt come back in a while (perhaps on her break) but it took a while to get another servers attention.

Food: absolutely delicious. I got the Jerk Chicken Alfredo and would 100% get it again. My table seemed to enjoy their meals as well. Service: a bit lacking. Although the server was very kind, it was a birthday dinner and we quite consistently had to ask for basic service like ordering or settling up. (Also werent made aware of the auto 18% gratuity for parties.. which would be nice to know before paying and adding an additional tip) Atmosphere: it s a nice looking restaurant! They have screens for sport lovers but it doesn t take away from the overall ambiance.

Went with a group of girlfriends on Sunday! We sat in the party room. Nice little cozy section blocked off from the other patrons. Ordered the chicken parm with Alfredo sauce...it was awesome!! Buttery taste with lots of cheese...chicken was tender. Tasted the Brussel sprouts drizzled with balsamic...also very good. Drinks were on point. Service was good. Will definitely be back!!!

Went in on Sunday (Superbowl Sunday) for a birthday party..mind you reservation was made a month ago..we got there and we were told there was no reservation when we clearly had a confirmation email..then the manager went on to say that the room we reserved we were to share with another party (like what??)...anyway we said no we are not sharing...then he came to say that we had to leave at a certain time...we are seated and eating and another party came in and they are pissed because they too had reserved that said room and were not called to say that room was already taken...they need to get their reservation checking in order...guests cannot come to your restaurant with confirmed reservation and are being told something else... Our server was very good...very polite..cannot remember her name(not sure she told us)...food was whatever...had better..not sure I will go back there....the manager needs some guidance in how to manage and make his guests happy at all times..

Last night, I had the pleasure of watching the Super Bowl with my friends at Social Bar, and what an unforgettable evening it was! The experience started from the moment I called in for reservations, they were able to accommodate our group last minute. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everyone felt right at home, attending to every need with efficiency and genuine hospitality. Now, lets talk about the food and drinks absolute perfection! The menu boasted an array of options. I would recommend the Tokyo Drift wings. For drinks, the Mango Margarita & Mango Mojito were refreshing! I cant wait to return to this establishment. Social Bar truly knows how to elevate the game.

03/17/2024 - I got food poisoning or salmonella from wings that I ordered. I was sick for a week and a hal, stopped in for a beer and told the waitress, she told me never eat the wings there. Lesson learned I guess.... 3 weeks later regretfully had to go back for the Superbowl which we RESERVED the private room months prior, only to find it was given away when we arrived to watch the game. Our group of 15 had to scramble to find somewhere to watch the game after kickoff.

It was so much fun watching the All star weekend at the social! The service was quick and on point. And the food was amazing !! We got the crab cakes, truffle fries and shrimp tacos and all were on point! Drinks were strong and great! Def will be back

I was very disappointed by the way mgmt responded to me finding a hair in my food. My server Shae was wonderful and very apologetic. But my expectation was acknowledgment from mgmt to ensure no one else gets a long piece of hair with fuzz and who knows what else on it in their food.

I m not one to write reviews but after yesterday I won t be returning to this restaurant. This wasn t my first time at the social and typically its great. However things are evidently going downhill here. The bartender last night was not polite while serving me. Seemed like her and (I assume) the manager were more interested in chatting than providing service. Food was decent but again, not the same as it used to be.

This is my kind of vibe. Their happy hour menu is my favourite and the amount they give is alot. My favourite item on the menu is their dessert, Ube Cheesecake. It is heaven !!! Its definitely a must try !!

My husband and I went out for a date after a long time, and we chose this restaurant. It was our first time here, and it didnt disappoint. The place was busy when we arrived, but we had a reservation, so it was fine. Sat in the bar area, Jaidyn was our server, and she was also making the bar drinks. She was doing a good job. We ordered from the Happy Hour menu, and their happy hour menu has a few offerings, but theres a mix of everything. The wine glass was not clean when it was served to us, but Jaidyn fixed that issue for me. The food was good, we had the bombay wings and they were super spicy so be mindful before ordering them. Mac & Cheese was tasty, and so were the truffle fries and the Buffalo wings. The manager Jay stopped by at the table, he was very friendly. Overall, we had a good time. Will return again.

Visited The Social for the first time on a Thursday, and have to say, really really liked this place, will be coming back, and highly recommend for dining with your sports buddies, family, or on a date night. Inside it is very welcoming with a great buzz of energy from being welcomed, seated and ordering our food. There s a restaurant and a bar area, with one huge screen TV and a variety of others around if just keeping an eye on the game. They also have happy hour and specials. It was the Old Fashioned special that night and the cocktail was awesome! If you care more about the food you re eating, you will not be disappointed. We got the Truffle Fries, Mushroom Flatbread and Jerk Chicken Alfredo. Best Jerk Chicken Alfredo ever yep I liked it that much, and if you want a little spice in your pasta, you will too!
