Perfect fusion of western & desi cuisine. Food is served quickly, it is hot and it is delicious. Menu is not vast but it is diverse enough to meet everyones choices. Service is prompt and attentive. Prices are more than reasonable. Owner is personally involved in all areas to ensure customer needs are taken care of.

Ordered a top sirloin and I got a cheap cut with loads of fat that was drenched with sauce. Definitely not a top sirloin. Not sure what the chef was smoking.

Wow!!! Alhumdulilah the food was amazing and the portions were more than what I paid for. I got the Lemon herb chicken with mash and veg.

We tried Chicken Fajita and Lemon Fish & shrimps. Portions were really generous and tasted really good. Service as always is top notch, very friendly and helpful staff. We would highly recommend this location. Food : 5/5

Been coming to Affys since 2013 - so 11 years now! Honestly I love this place. the food is delicious & always hits home. There arent many halal fine-dining restaurants in Toronto & if there are, they charge a literal arm & leg for their dishes. The owner is very sweet & always greets us with a smile, and we have honestly never had a bad experience with the staff.

While the food was good, they snuck a 15% tip onto my final bill. They didn t say a word, just quietly gave the impression that that was the total cost of my food. This was just a party of three, mind you, it wasn t even a large party. And the service was subpar. I had to call them every time we needed something. Tips are NOT mandatory, you absolutely cannot decide how much you want to tip yourself and add it to your customer s total. Disgusting, haram, and immoral behaviour.

Food is great, people are excellent but food takes a long time to arrive

Staple for Muslim food in the east side of GTA. Extremely consistent food qualify, you can never go wrong here. Always amazing. Only slight issue is the service, it can sometimes be a little slow but it s not too bad. Don t come here if you are in a rush. Also, washrooms are a little unclean for the type of place this is. They should do better on that. Dietary restrictions: All food is 100% hand slaughtered halal. Kid-friendliness: They have kids menu.

I went to Affy s last night and had a very disappointing experience. I ordered the BBQ back ribs, but the meat tasted spoiled, like it had been sitting out all day and wasn t stored properly. Instead of offering to make a fresh batch, they wanted to serve me ribs from the same batch! When I asked to substitute the ribs for something else, they still charged me the full price for both the spoiled ribs and my new order. Really frustrating and unacceptable. I won t be coming back.

I know a lot of people have negative reviews, but I have nothing but good things to say about Affys First off, it s a pioneer halal restaurant in Pickering, and has been serving the community well. I always see their contributions all over town, that s so important to me and my family when we chose who to support Secondly, the food is always delicious and it s great to know that you can come here and not worry about halal and haram, as the staff are always transparent with all the ingredients and information That in my books is the number one reason we go here time and time again . I m sorry but compared to places that cannot provide reassurance , affys is amazing !!! I ve always been served with a smile and never had any issues

Best steak in town!

Wanted to give Affys Pickering a try again after 2 years since its the only halal steak dining option in Durham. This place has been getting worse in terms of service and food quality seems to be declining as well. We got there ~730pm on Friday after seating and menus our server finally showed up after 20mins to take our order around 750ish and food cam 845pm. On top of that the sizzler steak and rice was burnt and whole dish had a burnt taste we didnt ask for replacement since it took 55mins to have dinner served. Spoke to the manager who only offered a give dessert on a house . What got me was the bill already had 15% service charge and I didnt want to tip for this kind of service. This is very poorly run/managed restaurant which use to be my favorite for ribs and steak but sadly this isnt the case anymore and there seems to be no willingness to make it better. Need at least 10-15% more properly trained servers during busy days/hours.

I went to Affy tonight, and it was an absolute disaster. The service was awful, and the food was beyond disgusting! I ordered the chicken parmesan pasta, which was watery and tasteless. My boyfriend s lemon chicken looked like trash and tasted even worse. We wasted almost $60 on food I wouldn t serve to my worst enemy. I feel sick just thinking about it. Save your money and stay far away from this place!

I am a affys customer for a while now but last visit might be last. The buffalo crisp chicken was soggy and beef sandwich had too much bbq sauce. The wasroom are dirty and over look feel outdated.

Had wings which felt it was stale, crispy chicken wasnt crisp. Washrooms where horrible. This place fell and looks like owners dont care. Which is sad coz the owners are very nice.

What happened to the young man that was working here a couple weeks ago?? He was so wonderful and kind and always gave us his best service. I will not be returning until they hire him again his name was Ishan or something. Please bring him back.

5% service fee for takeout which they dont tell you unless you ask and the reason provided was its for everyone. Its mandated by restaurant no matter how big or small the order is these services charges will be included. And 15% is for dine-in customers beaware thats not tip its service fees.

I always go here to support the uncle who s opened the restaurant. I ve followed him from when he was a chef at canyon creek. It s unfortunate that a miserable server ruined the whole experience for my family and I. It s the third time I ve encountered this girl. She can t smile, she s miserable, she s short with her answers, not attentive, rude and does not belong in the service industry. Even after we showed her one of our burgers was missing the main ingredients, cheese and fried onions she still came back without the cheese! And had an attitude as if she personally made it. What a horrible experience and what an unprofessional, unpleasant woman Affy s has hired. Their service is one of the main reasons they can t seem to get their ratings up. Invest in quality servers and maybe your ratings can finally surpass 3 stars.

I was disappointed. Honestly I d be embarrassed bringing a non Muslim here. The steak quality was very poor. We also ordered fish and chips, and chicken tenders off of kids menu. There was more batter than chicken or fish the stuffed chicken saved the day. Mashed potatoes tasted like the fake stuff. Fries were ok. Caesar salad dressing tasted like mayonnaise.m, with some stuff added. Overall. I can make a better meal sf home but sunrises you canyon go out. Sorry. I think this was last time.

Went for dinner yesterday with the hubby and got the Stuffed Cajun Chicken Breast and Jalapeño Peppers. The Jalapeño peppers were not good at all as you can tell from the photo, the outer layer was dried and weird.. not the way fried food should look like. :/ As for the Stuffed Cajun Chicken Breast, it was just okay not really flavourful.. just very mild and barely had any filling of the spinach and feta. Most of the chicken was without the filling so I was eating mostly just plain chicken breast. Underwhelming experience and a bit disappointed with the food (especially considering the expensive price of the dishes) Tiramisu was good though

I love coming to this over and over again. In fact Affys is my favourite place to go to. My experience has been the best each time I come here. My kids love their cheesy pasta and fish and chips. My husband love their steak and I love their burger and nochos.

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever come across. Food is explicitly phenomenal and is great for people of all age. I finally got my 10 year old daughter to eat at a restaurant without complaining. The iftar buffet is great. I recommend trying the different steaks they serve.

I don t see a reason for taking a service charge in Ramadan, as a buffet is being served. I have been told the service charge is for a group of 14 and more, but when at the place I have been charged for a table of 10 only.

Recently, I was lucky enough to get the reservation for iftari buffet for myself and my team Project Ramadan. It was well organized buffet with delicious food. The staff was friendly and caring. They made sure all the people were fed well. The also gave us the chai and coffee. Their pasta, steaks, chicken, spring rolls etc everything was great in taste! I came with my family for Iftari and towards breaking our fast at this terrible location in order to have a great and delicious meal. But we didnt know how terrible the outcome was like. The customer service was horrible like the food and the chicken was super raw and not well cooked. If u eat the chicken leg or basically all the different chicken was just dry and no flavour, just disgusting. This restaurant says its name as a buffet for Ramadan, but i dont think thats the case. They dont mean it when they say buffet since there is no food on the table and when its time to take dinner. People rush only for the steak, but when u go to take the stake its already gone like the people didnt eat food for 100 years, its just so wild. As we were having our food, we notice that the chicken was raw. We asked for manager in charge. He came and told us that its Just YOUR OPINION, BUT OTHER PEOPLE LIKE THE FOOD i was shocked and told him that i am not talking about the peoples opinion, this is about food and its a serious healh problem as well. The manager with his grey beard starts to say that dont complain and he starts telling me to CALL THE COPS. that was very hilarious and the way he spoke to us was very unprofessional and extremely rude and no customer in my opinion should experience that behavior of a manager in a restaurant. Food is generally good, and its nice that it is Halal. The service at times can be atrocious. Sometimes, it can take over an hour until you see your food. The Ramadan Iftar buffet is quite worth it, and you dont have to worry about bad service. Overall, only come here if youre not in any hurry or for the iftar special.

The plate was so small for taking dinner and ifter, we were more than 15 people, there were more than 26 bones and we put bones on a bone plate and they charged $10 for that without checking the bone plate. I do not recommend this restaurant. They are not customer friendly. The space is very congested. Plz don t go.

We just returned home from this restaurant after having our Ifter Buffet! They call it buffet, but thats nowhere near to a buffet. I dont know where should I start. From the interior to the quality of food, everything is terrible. Only a few snack items are good. But you wont go to a fine dining/buffet restaurant for snacks.

Scarborough location is far better; but in this location, their staff has no manners, very disrespectful, has no sense of customer service, and they dont even care. They have attitude problem. But I appreciate they put on $10 fine for wasting food, however, the way they give a look (007 James bond look) at your plate if you have any leftover is very unprofessional. They will count heads on your table and will give exact number of dates (Iftar buffet), even at Locals mosques give generous number of dates (at least 2/person), shows their cheap mentality. And about the food, I dont even know where to start from. Stay away from this restaurant. We had Iftar Buffet, snack items were okay, but rest of the main dishes didnt taste good at all.

Usually when we dine in, service is subpar. But i wanted to highlight my takeout experience. The person who picked up the phone, said his name was Sam was amazing! I havent received customer service like that in so long. He was so polite. The food was really good as well i got the chicken parm primavera.

Been coming to this affys for about 10 year its always been pretty good but the last couple of times I came the service and the food has gone down drastically. I got a Cajun chicken sandwich last night and the chicken was pink.... my wife got the chicken parm and now she has severe food poisoning. Also the servers took so long to come to our table even tho they werent busy at all and only had 2 other tables

The customer service is non existent in this restaurant. No one greeted us or said hello, the menu was thrown onto the table while the person was on the phone. They were taking away things from our table without asking. Everyone looked miserable and no waiter was available for anything even though the restaurant was not busy at all. Good was god awful - got the herb pasta and steak. The steak was unbelievably stiff and the pasta seemed like the sauce was from a store bought jar. Waste of money!

Updated Review: I came here many times before. The food and service and everything is great. I came here recently. Everything is pretty much the same except the service. Im bumping up another star because of the service.

Food didnt have a lot of flavor. Chicken was dry so either it has been reheated or over cooked. Steak was too salty. Even water cups was room temperature and maybe they should invest in an ice machine. Service was good. Disappointing.

I bought the grilled cajun chicken sandwich with fries to go $16 and no drink. When i got home to eat my meal, the chicken was dry to my surprise i found that it was a chicken breast cut in half but it was really thin like 2- 3mm thick. It was less than a centimetre thick, if youve ever measured anything youd know. This chicken sandwich was a joke no lie. I always support good ethical muslim businesses as ive been coming here with my family since 2009. Thats about to change. On a different occasion this place put a nasty wrinkled azz looking pickle on my burger. I like pickles, but I didnt eat that one. Disgusting Then on another occasion, this place served me a tiramisù cake that had gone bad, tasted like vomit. At this moment in time, i dont think this restaurant will be getting my business. Not from me nor my friends or family. This Ramadan 2024 I am not even coming to Affys. I feel robbed of my money when i couldve grabbed a chicken sandwich from Burger Factory or Big Moes or M&Co Burger or Boardwalk Fries Burgers & Shake. What im trying to say as a consumer i/ we have more choices. All i wanted was a chicken sandwich. Affys did not meet my expectations this time around. They have started to add the tip on the bill without even asking the customer. Maybe work on your service first! A table of 3, no where does any restaurant charge the gratuity in the bill. Food is mediocre.

This is the first time Im reviewing anything on Google. I felt I had to because Ive had consistently positive experiences at Affys in Pickering with the owner that I felt need they needed to be highlighted. A few years back a very elderly relative of mine came to the restaurant and didnt like the food (she is South Asian and not used to North American food). The owner literally went out of his way and made her Dhal (Desi food) instead. The other day I went to pick up food that was catered and he went out of his way to help us load the car. Its these little things that I appreciate at Affys.

Not worth the money spent. Its just below basic. The ambience is poor, the staff are outright rude, the food taste is not good. Its nothing that you can expect from a premium location. Many people go there just because of Halal options. But other Halal options also provide the same items only more better. Dont waste your hard earned money here!!

I came with my wife the recently after a very long time. The food takes way too long & they put a service charge on your bill without letting you know. The only remeeding quality about this restaurant is there food is still decent.

Quality has gone down pretty low. Their main product rib eye steak was burnt and difficult to chew with bad quality sauce. Also majority of the items on menu were not available. Restaurant looks dirty and poorly maintained. Not worth it.

Food is always tasty! The prices for their sandwiches are really good. It can get quite busy on weekends, I recommend calling to reserve a spot before hand for dine in!

This was a go to back in the day. However, quality has subsided and its nothing spectacular. If its your first time trying a steak house, sure, its really trying to be an authentic steak house but falling short. Outdated and past its prime.

Firstly I just want to say the food here is good and the reason I come here, however the service needs to improve greatly. Unattentive servers is the norm here. You would think after forcing a SERVICE CHARGE on every bill of 15% they would train their staff to provide friendly and hospitable service but thats never the case here. This restaurant has such potential however so many people I have talked too say the same thing service is horrible.

This place fell off so hard it s almost unbelievable. The food taste like rubber, I might as well add that it takes forever to receive that piece of rubber passed off as food. Spending money here should be a crime. I don t wish anyone this tastebud torture of a place.

Losing its charm. Every time I go to affys I get a little bit more disappointed. The servers are always wandering around but not bringing things we need. Recently, we went with our entire family and our server forgot our utensils, water, glass everything! We literally had to remind them of everything. The portions of the food felt like it went down since covid. It s understandable but everything seemed lacking. The salad didn t have as much dressing or cheese, the steak seemed smaller. The servers forgot to bring the cookie that comes with the kids meal. We had to remind them of everything. I always want to give another chance every time we go, but get disappointed. There really needs to be some serious customer service and server basics training. All the best!

This Pakistani restaurant in Toronto has become my absolute favorite whenever Im visiting from Alberta. Their premium quality ribs are bursting with flavor, incredibly tender, and cooked to absolute perfection. Ive yet to find ribs of a similar caliber at any other restaurant, whether halal or non-halal. If youre a beef enthusiast, you absolutely must give these a try. To emphasize their deliciousness, Ive even gone to the extent of flying from Saskatchewan to Toronto once and satisfying my cravings during a road trip. This restaurant is an absolute must-visit for Pakistani cuisine. Additionally, I always make sure to sample their jalapeño poppers filled with mozzarella cheese, a unique twist as they typically contain cream cheese. This extra touch sets this place apart and adds to the overall delightful experience.

Everything is good but its a really busy plaza

We did our reservation before going there. On reaching there the staff put on a table in which it was so hard to squeeze in . There were few tables empty on enquiring he simply said those table were reserved before our phone call . He was less interested in our complaint that the sitting place is uncomfortable for us. On the top they charge something called gratuity which is usually charged for if you book table for more than 5 people . So it was also annoying for a family who have come for a weekend family dinner. Food was ok not very extraordinary

It feels like they cut corners on quality. Visited recently. I ordered a chicken sandwich. The chicken piece was very, very thin. My tomato slice inside the sandwich was thicker than the chicken piece, and there was more breading on the chicken than actual chicken inside. Then there was no sauce on the buns. And the bun were cheap, like a basic grocery store bread, literally soaking in grease. For $14 (with a side), and they add mandatory service charge (I had a table for 2), what was I even paying for.. cheap bread, a sliver of chicken, lettuce and tomato? Not worth it at all. Fried chicken stores give you more food in a sandwich than this. And the forced the gratuity of 15%? Why? Increase your prices if you have to. Tipping culture is a scam and people socially guilt tripped into believing its necessary.

Pathetic! Pathetic! Pathetic! This place seems like it s gonna close down soon. Understaffed, they don t care what you ordered and when you get in. No one is there to welcome or show a seat. Also they gave the food but no plates and fork, we had to literally goto the counter and ask for forks. The management needs to look at this matter urgently. The steak came out very last. Very overwhelmed staff don t have time to notice if they ve given water or forks or napkins at the table Parking: Big parking lot in the plaza.

Got 3 items: Texas honey garlic chicken wings - 9/10 (sauce was light but nice tatse) Fish and chips - 9.5/10 (crispy fish, fresh fries and delicious tartar sauce) the chips would be better if they were tick hand cut Jalapeno penne pasta - 7.5/10 (pasta was saucy and tasty but nothing really special, no option to switch the meat option to seafood) Overall good experience. Definitely recommend trying it out. Dietary restrictions: Certified hand slaughtered halal

The food tastes good the only problem I have is that the waitress tries to memorize my entire order with her memory and ALWAYS gets it wrong . And the prices are extremely expensive but again the food tastes good when you get what you actually ordered. Will I come back here again? Yes I would. ( only for special occasions )

We ordered 1. Full rack of ribs for $49.99, they were tender and enough meat unlike other places which have more fat than meat. But they dont give you BBQ sauce on the side I guess you pay extra for it. 5/5 2. Chili nachos, they werent so aesthetically pleasing but they tasted good. 4/5 3. Affys super loaded burger, I did not like the burger as it was bland in taste, there were no sauces inside of it. 2/5 Dietary restrictions: Halal food

Excellent Halal steak in Durham Region forcdinw in. Roasted cheese burger is also excellent for take out

Update: Was forced to go back many years later, seem that the hosting staff has changed a bit. Much better now Just called to ask about dining in and was put on hold and then they hung up

I didnt enjoy the steak but the beef ribs are amazing and the chicken is really good quality, chicken cesar salad and chicken break and the sauces are really good.

Very upset with the food quality yesterday which was nov 3 .3 of us ordered ribeye 2 weeks in a row we have been coming in for steak . We ordered the same item we order a week before and it was nothing like the first day we ate . Steak was dry no sauce on it which the item said comes with bbq sauce . Not sizzled at all just a steak on nonstick Sizzling plate with no heat on it . Only 3 to 4 onion peices. We didn t enjoy the food yesterday . I doubled checked with the person who took our order that it will be juicy and sauce on it and she said yes but it was totally a low grades quality food. Management should really look into this since it s not cheap place to eat for sure we been coming there for years and it was really not what we always eat

I used to love their food. But this place is just going down over the time. I never liked the atmosphere in there. It needs a serious upgrade. But the food used to be good and moderate/medium spicy. I really don t know who suggested them to add RED PEPPER FLAKES in everything. And it happened to me third time today that I had to post a review. I specifically asked to don t make it spicy but it was even spicier than before. The food is now only spicy with red pepper flakes(literally) in it and no flavour. I won t be able to order again for some time atleast. Can t waste money anymore here.

Horrible. Came here for a friends birthday. We had to call a server to come take our order as no one came to our table. They mixed up two of our orders and didnt seem very enthusiastic about having it done correctly, instead seemed annoyed that we wanted it sent back and done correctly. No apology given at all. We also had to remind them to give us our drinks... which was just cans of pop and one mango drink. Also for the blended drinks they make it out in the front which just makes horrible noise. And after paying our bill we each were not offered to have a paper copy of the receipt. No wonder gratuity is automatically included....because the service is very horrible

This has been our regular option for dine-out and it has been outstanding with its taste and flavour every single visit. However, today I want to share my experience regarding their catering services. From quality, taste and service, it was exceptional. Our guest loved it. Fried fish and Cajun chicken stole the show.

Went to eat here after a long time and the same old favourite dishes still taste so good. I ordered mango chicken and it was fantastic. Eat here for delicious food.

Absolutely cheaped out on the meat. The pasta and burgers were absolutely flavourless. We had to get the chicken on the pasta redone because it was only bread and like 1 milimetre of chicken. We had to get the burger of steak redone. The servers explained that they made the meat so thin because of inflation. Paid $97 dollars for 5 meals (2 kids meals) and it was not worth it. Going to have second dinner at silver spoon. Absolutely terrible. Do not bother. Ambience is bad. Servers brought us everything fast but the cheating out on meat and burning it and being flavourless was terrible. I had to add four things to the pasta to make it good and had to have the chicken remade. Servers overexplainjng for the inflation and cheating out on meat was exhausting. I almost cried for second. The server brought us a slice of cheesecake to say sorry from his own pocket. I feel bad for the servers. Idk what is happening in the kitchen Seems they use c grade or lower chicken. Nothing premium here. Don t bother.

This is the best franchise location in terms of ambiance and perfectly cooked steaks. They used to have the best ceasar salad in Toronto but somehow, they changed the recipe or switched to cheap ingredients it did not taste as good last time I visited. I looked forward to ceasar salad. New york strip steak is the steak to get, no other steak is as flavourful as new york strip steak. Dietary restrictions: All items are Halal

The food is delicious, but I didnt appreciate the mandatory 15% service charge imposed on customers. Usually, I tip for any restaurant I visit,,, anyway, they removed this charge for a while then applied again recently. Food

It was great superb and delicious butter soaked chicken stuffed ribs with risotto and a side salad for an appetizer. Didnt want anything like Pepsi as theres added sugar and I delicious water or aha SPARKLING WATER zero sugar.
