Great food, but experience not great because it was so cold in the restaurant, you had to wear a jacket, feet freezing... They only have about 5 beers, bottled only, even the Guinness was bottled type :( Wont be going back there. Food

Sorry they deserve a Zero 0 but for the fact that they are getting away with a single star doesn t mean much either way- just FYI These guys need a crash course in hospitality and restaurant & business management as this restaurant is the worst experience in Fine Dining ever experienced - in our lives . And an epitome of what should never be so let s share our night out with you. No time for a starters as the kitchen would be closing soon apparently as the restaurant was closing in 40 minutes- although 15 guests walked in after us to a party room adjacent to the restaurant and ordered after closing we observed. The SEA FOOD risotto ordered was a can of sweet corn plus some food colouring albeit puréed resembling FRESH yellow baby poop AND it was topped with two shrimp and two gritty yes GRITTY scallops below and THE DISH comes minus the risotto, BUT PLUS THE FREE SAND for PRICE shy of $70 AND - that s how fresh the scallops were - apparently straight out of the ocean lol - and plonked into your corn hash. And in addition we also got a perfect little shoe leather tenderloin and we were TOLD by our server that medium rare was not an option- in their kitchen when we had insisted upon medium rare. - hmmmm what a shame that their staff does not know how meat needs to be cooked as per a guests request- in a restaurant that specializes in meat and is masquerading as a steak house oops meet house I guess as they opt to spell it lol or maybe they forgot to spell check their own website lol as obviously they do not know the first thing about meat or any other food they serve - Tried reporting our experience to the manager but she s TOO BUSY TROMPING AROUND in her stiletto heels to ever revert back to her guest complaints - no time for that kind of stuff - she s too stuffy apparently to even have the courtesy of a professional response- after we made the complaints so here s an honest review of our experience on our special night. Oh just wait the icing on the cake is if you ask them to refresh your bread basket - There is nothing complementary about the bread basket umm plate as it come as they proudly proclaimed for an extra price of $5.00 dollars plus tax - so having traveling the world and enjoying fine dining experiences all over THIS RESTAURANT IS THE ONLY EXCEPTIONAL PLACE TO HAVE THE AUDACITY TO CHARGE THEIR GUESTS WHO ARE ALREADY PAYING FOR OVERPRICED FOOD AND UNPALATABLE DISHES - FOR A MEAGRE BREAD BASKET REFRESH and so much said when you consider that if a bread baskets ha ha ha which you need to consider comes at a price should you ask for a refreshed basket- so think carefully before you enter the place - and make your decision after all this place is located unfortunately in a casino so it s YOUR GAMBLE - as we noted- and is no place to eat a good meal. Responsible Gambling ha ha ha !!! Albeit even in a their restaurants- as I also understand they have another chain at another casino too - hmm wonder why they are located in casinos only - Fortunately we made a few friends instead as the table beside us who unbelievably also had the same experience as us and as we laughed at the atrocious situation and food and moreover at their FIVE DOLLAR BREAD REFRESH PLATE - which we all unanimously agreed was the only thing actually PALATABLE- yes - pun intended lol In the restaurant- So if you re going to eat here pay $5.00 as you will determine that that is the only thing worth ordering in this restaurant. So apparently if you re looking for a good meal knock this restaurant off your list- it s only for people who don t know what good food tastes like. or are maybe just too smashed to care Note how they spell MEAT AT THIS PLACE IT IS SPELLED AS MEET HOUSE LOL CHECK OUT THE ABOVE - COPPERHORN MEET HOUSE PICKERING - no wonder they don t know how to cook MEAT ummm MEET EVIDENTLY ????? Run away from the restaurant or be quiet and bite your tongue yikes lol terrible place.

The steak was of satisfactory quality, although it possessed a notable degree of firmness. The beverages served were watered down. Overpriced for the level of quality I expected.

Our server Anastasia was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious/ incredible. I would highly recommend the Copperhorn for your next special occasion. Very pricey but well worth it.

We had an incredible experience last night. Right from the start they were super friendly, the atmosphere is beautiful, and comfortable seating. Our server Enrique was such a joy, very fun, knowledgeable, and you can tell he loves what he does. They start with a small selection of fresh warm breads, house made butter, and a roasted garlic oil. We had the starter soup, cream of cauliflower delicious, we both had steaks, a filet mignon and porterhouse, both cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth, we picked a side each, whipped potatoes and a loaded baked potato. We were absolutely stuffed by the time we left, but, we would eat that all over again. Highly recommend this place for a great date night out.

The experience was quite good. Food was perfect. Seasoning and temperatures. Enrique our server was quite attentive to make sure our experience was good. I will return.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the newness of the venue and high ceilings, with the large floor to ceiling windows are definitely beautiful. Given the amount of natural light, I think the amount of white design accents made it feel more like an airport than a steakhouse; but it certainly wasnt uncomfortable. Service was standard, not amazing but again, not poor. The food. We both ordered the onion soup which was lovely. I ordered the prime rib, which the server forgot to ask about my side, and i asked for medium, however the cut arrived blue. We also ordered the cauliflower steak which was crispy, but otherwise very bland - no sauce or any spices to add flavour. We also ordered a side of roasted brussels sprout which were quite peculiar tasting. Overall the food was average or just below, but the 2 stars was solidified by the overall cost vs. quality.

The restaurant is in the casino. Considering it is a casino, the food was really good. Service was good. Overall a great experience. But a little pricey.

The food and atmosphere were very good. But our experience was amazing because of our server Ashley. She is possibly the sweetest person Ive ever met. She was attentive without being bothersome, friendly and made us feel like we were her number one priority. If we ever find ourselves back in Pickering we will definitely stop by the Copperhorn. Parking: Huge parking lot so there are lots of spots. But if its busy the walk from the car to the restaurant is very long. Not a complaint, just an observation.

Loved the steak and enjoyed the friendly and timely service !!! Would absolutely go again and recommend it to anyone who enjoy a good quality steak Also we were pleasantly entertained by Enrique Thank you !!!

Our server, Enrique was very good. Attentive, quick and pleasant to speak to. The Caesar in the Parmesan edible bowl was quite good and tasty. The French Onion Soup and Cauliflower Soup were both very good. We all ordered either Prime Rib or 10 oz Sirloin were cooked perfectly at medium. Baked potato was hot and well cooked. Overall great experience before the show. We will be back.

We were invited back to the restaurant after a not-so-great first experience, and the second time was wonderful! Our waiter was Mikhail and he went over and above to make sure we were well looked after. Food was all good, and looks like theyve made some minor updates to the menu since my last visit as well.

Pickering desperately needed an upscale dining establishment beyond the well known Italian option. Pickering is still in need. Copperhorn didnt do it for me. Theres a sizeable wine list and nothing but ordinary beer in bottles with nothing on tap. I ordered the Beef Short Ribs, my husband the Prime R\ib. We shared a Caesar Salad. The salad is served in an edible bowl made from cheese. It would be nice if the romaine had been. tossed in the dressing rather than being presented as a bowl of chopped romaine with way too much dressing sitting in blobs on top (plus more in a dish on the side) and garnished with a whole slice of bacon and croutons made from thin slices of toasted french stick. The croutons were the best part of the salad. The bread plate with parsley butter and a head of roasted garlic that started the meal was quite nice. My husband was happy with his prime rib dinner. My short ribs were a flavourless, fatty, disappointment. Amid the circular outline of lukewarm mashed sweet potatoes containing a pool of glossy brown gravy I found chewy deep fried strips which I believe were onions and charred heirloom carrots. On top of that, sitting under gravy topped with a mittful of green herbs of some sort were the short ribs. My first mouthful was fatty goo. Upon closer inspection I found the entire top of the meat was covered in a slab of the same jiggly mass. I ended up scraping away the gravy to find something other than connective tissue, membrane or fat and there wasnt much. Im sure the people next to us were impressed every time I had to withdraw a previously undiscovered elastic like mass from my mouth. The discard from a 3x4x2 inch block of meat filled my breadplate. My husbands horseradish gave my meal some flavour. The carrots were the best part of the dish. I know that short ribs arent the most lean cut of beef but Ive had far, far better elsewhere. For the price, I think Copperhorn could have served a better grade of meat. Service was good.

Reading the menu on line I was very hesitant to visit but decided to go and was very pleasantly surprised as were the 3 other people in our party. Wine was reasonably priced. Prime rib was excellent as was braised ribs. Salad served in eatable bowl and again excellent. Service was great, friendly and very knowledgeable on the menu. Would definitely return.

We made a reservation but didn t even get to the restaurant door because you have to go through the casino to get to the restaurant and our 15 year old daughter wasn t allowed through the casino. Not an issue if we had been told when we made the reservation - but we weren t. What a waste of time.

We were very pleased with the food and the service. Enrique, our server, was very friendly and attentive. He wore a very cute tie. The menu selection has variety and the portions are very filling. Prices were decent for a steak house. Modern atmosphere.

Better than the Keg. Small menu but they got all types of steak. They have big portions and you will be full. Friendly hostess. Vegetarian options: It is a steak house. Only veggie things they have is the add-ons such as French fries and Mushrooms. Parking: Ton of free parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility.

This restaurant is more on the gourmet style. The food and service was on point. Prices are expensive and menu limited. The steak I had was absolutely delicious, prepared just the way I wanted. The meat was very tender. Good addition to widen the variety of restaurants available at the casino resort. Parking: Ample amount of parking on the outside and in the parking garage. Wheelchair accessibility: No issues, very well thought out.

We had a 7pm reservation, food arrived at 9:30, it was pretty good. Managers were very rude when asked about why the delay, It took over 4 hours from start to finish to pay. The food and beverage manager was involved and did very little assist. It s worth while taking an Uber to the keg in Ajax and back. Avoid by all Means.

The service here was an absolute joke. It took over an hour and a half to get our food. Not to mention it took 45 minutes just to get a drink. It wasn t even worth the 3 hour experience as my steak was overcooked. You might as well eat at the starbucks in the casino, that s how awful my experience was.

I recently had the misfortune of dining at a restaurant that I can only describe as a complete disappointment. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the staff were disinterested and unengaged. Despite having made a reservation, we were kept waiting at the entrance for a good 15 minutes while the restaurant wasnt even busy! When we were finally seated, it took an eternity for a server to come over and take our order. We had to flag down a passing staff member to even get menus everytime! We finally got our bottle of wine after 45 minutes of being there. We had finished our wine well before our food came. We didnt even get the chance to order more drinks or even offered. The fries tasted like McDonalds fries which was actually the only thing good about the restaurant. We ordered food at 9:30pm and it came at 11pm what a disappointment. Our server and MANAGEMENT (especially management) was dismissive, barely acknowledging us when we tried to get their attention. But the worst part of the experience was the way the management handled our complaints. When we tried to express our frustration with the poor service and quality of the food, we were met with defensiveness and excuses. Instead of apologizing and trying to make things right, the manager seemed more concerned with shifting the blame onto the already overworked and understaffed servers. It was clear that they were more interested in protecting their own image than in making sure their customers were satisfied. 2 groups were frustrated with this restaurant We expected to at least get some sort of compensation after being there for 3 hours but the management kept insisting they had to contact someone as they were not able to accommodate anything. We wanted to wait to see if there was something that could be done but instead they basically held both groups hostage until everyone just agreed to pay full price since we had already wasted our entire evening. Not to mention one of the manager screaming at the other group(which we heard from the other end of the restaurant). Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food was mediocre at best, and the terrible service made the experience memorable in the worst way possible. Save yourself the disappointment and choose a different restaurant.

We enjoyed a nice dinner tonight at the bar and Jimmy the bartender was fabulous. All of the staff were great and we will return again.

Ate at Copperhorn last night for my boyfriend and I s anniversary. Was skeptical after reading a couple of scary reviews considering the amount of money we knew we d be spending there but.. the experience was amazing! Our server Rowena was fantastic, friendly and provided timely service. The Jamaican cocktail and espresso martini were delish. We had lobster, shrimp, oysters, all tasted great. The only thing lacking in flavour was surprisingly the steak.. definitely a pricy place to dine but worth trying!

Went for Mother s Day. Had the prime rib and chicken. Food was delicious. Our server was Matt who was amazing! Very friendly and full of information

Reading the reviews I ve seen a lot of people complain about the service. I came around 7 pm on a Wednesday with my family and I did not encounter any problems. Rowena was very attentive and such a sweet lady. She really excels at her job. The food on the other hand .did not live up to the 5 star service. The appetizer of sweet bread and roasted garlic was a strange combination. My New York steak was comparable to Chucks roadhouse or Kelsey s. Definitely not worth the price. My baked potato was cold and under salted. The cheese was shredded bag cheese and I must have got 5 pieces of crumbled bacon. My moms prime rib was cook beautifully but the ends were overly salty. For a steakhouse they really didn t hit the mark.

I recently had a disappointing dining experience at Copperhorn Steak House located in the Pickering casino resort. As someone who previously held high regard for the quality of their food and customer service, I felt compelled to share my dissatisfaction. During my visit on Sunday, June 18th, my party and I encountered an issue with our steak order. Despite specifically requesting a medium-rare steak, it was served to us as a medium-cooked steak. Our waitress was professional and apologetic when we brought this to her attention, but the way the manager, Tyler, handled the situation was unacceptable. Instead of sincerely apologizing and promptly addressing the issue, Tyler approached our table and dismissed our complaint. He claimed that the steak was cooked as requested, implying that we were mistaken in our judgment. To further his point, he even suggested that the chef should come out to validate his claim. This interaction left us feeling humiliated and showed a lack of professionalism and respect towards customers. I would like to acknowledge our waitress, who took the initiative to apologize on Tylers behalf. However, it is disheartening that a staff member had to compensate for the managers disregard of our legitimate concerns. Although a second steak was eventually prepared to perfection, it does not excuse the initial mistreatment we encountered or the poor customer service from Tyler. We felt dismissed, and the lack of attention given to our complaint reflects poorly on the principles and values upheld by the establishment.

Came here on Father s Day for my anniversary dinner, my server was Rowena- she was amazing, and attentive. Everything you want in a server. All the other staff we interacted with were also friendly. Got the NY strip & Fillet mignon, both cooked to perfect medium rare. I personally thought the steak & asparagus lacked salt/seasoning, but we were offered salt & fresh ground pepper. Aside from that, great steak house option. Will definitely be back!

I started off with their three cheese roasted onion soup which was absolutely delicious. For the main course I had a 10oz fillet mignon, cooked medium, it was perfectly done. As a side I had that whipped potato, I really enjoyed that. The food was great overall. Service was good.

We went to celebrate a birthday and it was a group of 6. Our server was Michaill and he took great care of us. They have a signature bread plate which was excellent and provided at no charge. Most of the group had steak or prime rib and all reported It was cooked as requested. Several in the group had Caesar salad and it was the wedge style and very flavourful. Shrimp Cocktail is jumbo shrimp and very good. Everyone enjoyed their selected dessert.We would definitely go back.

Over cooked steak for one of us the other meal was cold and third meal came out 10 minutes after everyone else. Extremely disappointing to say the least. Hopefully it changes over time with it being the new casino!

My husband and I had a date here, we had a bottle of red wine and the oysters. The lady that served us was really nice and the oysters and wine were delicious. Going to go again for my daughters birthday on Wednesday. Beautiful place!

Price vs. Value is Great. Service was phenomenal, love the sparkly bow ties the servers wear Food was much better then I expected, but the place is still fairly new and some of the food is yet to be perfected. Will visit again!

We walked in and were told it would be an hour wait however I immediately proceeded to book online and we were then seated 15 later, it was likely a tactic to get us to go gamble. Bread plater and French onion soup were good but nothing outstanding for a resto of this price point. We ordered the gnocchi and the baramundi. Gnocchi was nice, fragrant but slightly oily, the fish was one of the worst dishes Ive ever eaten anywhere, the salmon mouse was just wrong and everything else was under seasoned, soggy and just didnt work well together. We will not visit again.

Tiffany was our server, she complained about the tip I left her. It wasn t a busy night and I had to keep asking her for some lemon water and it took long for her to grab our empty plates and almost 40mins to give us the bill. She was disrespectful for no reason at all. Thanks to the supervisor for speaking to me after.

This Resturant is located inside the casino and first impression is it s got a nouveau feel to it. Modern and sleek. The layout is odd though with a lot of open space. We were seated alone at the private section which was a room away from everyone (I guess it was because it was a birthday and they thought we wanted privacy - 6 people only). The service was excellent and seatings were comfortable with big chairs. Food was good but menu was very limited for folks who are not meat eaters. I believe they had one chicken option and possibly one pork chop option. Also one fish option which is some kind of fish i never heard of. Everything else is steak. You can imagine the vegetarian options. It s got Meet in its name. What did we expect. Food prices were on the higher scale and sides were extra charge. An average meal is $65 without sides.

As someone who frequently eats at steakhouses, I must say Copperhorn at the Pickering Casino has to be one of the worst quality steakhouses I have ever been to. The chefs at this steakhouse DO NOT know how to sear a steak. I have been to this steakhouse 3 times, I have never received a steak with a nice & thick sear. They also DO NOT know how to cook medium rare. If you ask for medium rare you either get super medium (cook through and through) or straight up rare in the middle. Their portions are small and prices are high. And you can tell they dont spend enough time unfreezing their steaks. If you have any brain cells and care about where you spend your money, you wouldnt spend a dime in this restaurant. I can cook 30x better Costco steaks than this restaurant any day of the week.

Everything was delicious. I am STILL thinking of this Caesar salad. Steak was cooked to perfection, server was knowledgeable and gave excellent recommendations for the wine & prime rib.

First time eating here. Came with a large group. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Had the pistachio crusted rack of lamb. It was delicious!! Everyone else enjoyed their steaks. Would definitely go back again.

I had an exceptional experience at Copperhorn Meet House on December 16, 2023. The atmosphere was inviting, the service was impeccable, and the dinner with my large group was a delight. The staff accommodated us with ease, and the quality of the food exceeded expectations. A five-star dining experience that I highly recommend.

If you come to a steakhouse for a propper steak, this is not the place for you! Way over priced and steak tough as wood. Bearnaise sauce was sour and watery. I refused to pay the idiot manager that didnt know what she was doing. The most she offered was 10% off, i just laughed. She made the chef decide on that...he shouldnt be called a chef. A 16 year old kid flipping burgers at Burger King is more of a chef!!!!
