Nice place for dinner. Only place I have been able to find Curry Ayyam. They have lunch special menu which makes getting food with coworkers possible. Very helpful staff. If you are unsure about dishes, ask. Their oodles of noodles and satay are great for people who may be new to Thai food and are worried about spice. Great for a casual date.

Five stars, the flavours are amazing here. Tried the green chicken curry and fried fish with the cashew chicken. You would assume with these high prices you would get a good portion. Half my containers were filled with bamboo shoots or peppers. Spent $60 and barely felt full with two people.

Lunch special is very good value. Friendly service.

Terrible. The worst Thai food I have ever had. The spring rolls were so greasy even the box was saturated. I had the chicken and shrimp Pai Thai. So over cooked the noodles were mush. Hardly any chicken and a few shrimp shells. Dirty tables considering I was the only one in there at the time.

Overall, our experience at Thai Orchid Restaurant was positive. The flavors were enjoyable and the prices reasonable, making it a place wed consider revisiting. However, there were a couple of drawbacks that led us to deduct a star from our rating. Firstly, the restaurant seemed understaffed, with only one person managing various tasks, leading to delays in service. Additionally, we found that many dishes leaned towards the sweeter side, even those labeled as spicy, which didnt quite match our expectations of authentic Thai cuisine. Despite these issues, Thai Orchid Restaurant still offers a satisfying dining experience, albeit with some room for improvement.

Family favorite! Weve been coming to Thai Orchid for over 10 years and have enjoyed their great food both dining in and as take out. Service is very good whenever we dined in and the food is fresh and consistently delicious. Here are some of our favorite dishes: - Spicy Beef Salad (So good!) - House Appetizer Platter - Fresh Green Mango Salad - Thai Pinapple Fried Rice - Red Curry Chicken - Thai Beef Steak - Tofu Curry - Phad Ka Na (delicious sauteed Chinese broccoli)

Nice little Thai restaurant. I love their chicken coconut soup so yummy and creamy with traditional Thai spices and their chicken fried rice is down right yummy!! Nice big chuncks of fresh chicken pieces.

The food is genuinely some of the best Thai food I have ever had. For a cheap price of $13-20 you can get a full meal of quality, good portioned food. I love this place and i m here all the time. My go too is always either the chicken pad Thai or chili chicken. Oh my my mouth is drooling thinking about it. Amazing 5/5.

Last time I was here was 10 years ago. The food is so good. We tried their Thai basil beef fried rice and the chicken and veggies in black bean sauce. It was delicious. Everything is cooked fresh and they put a lot of effort and flavour in their dishes. Im not waiting another 10 years to go back.

Quaint restaurant with very good food. I love their Spicy Beef Salad, their signature Pad Thai and Satay dinners. I also love their Curry Ayam or Roti Canai but we didnt order them this time. We have met with the owner who introduced us to his chef; the Chef resembles the actor Jackie Chan! This restaurant will be closed for a week between August 5-13/2023 for vacation so its best to check if they are open before you visit. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available. Parking: Free parking are ample at the front. Wheelchair accessibility: Though the door doesnt open automatically, I have seen people in wheelchairs inside. Accessibility is limited.

We love this place the Pad Thai is fantastic

Not what to expect. BEEF steak was really beef liver and smells nasty. Cabbage in stir fry looks like a soggy diaper and rest of vegetables were overcooked. Aluminum container makes the vegetables stinky. Spring rolls looks and tastes like it came from frozen (the ones from the supermarket). Take away chicken wings didnt taste the same as dine in experience. Overall, food was gross. I think I will stick to the malls thai food and Pho Saigon. I had a stomach ache after 1st serving. Didnt attempt more, chuck the rest in the garbage. Food reminded me of the dirty food you get in Chinatown. BEEF LIVER COST $19.99 which is quite expensive, considering it is not a steak.

Got the Tofu Curry (Tofu with long beans and sliced eggplant in spicy red curry sauce) and it was one of my favourite thai dishes ever. Portion was so big I had it over 3 days. Just made some extra rice at home. Ill definitely be back again!

As a vegan this is a good option and staff was helpful in suggesting vegan options. Had the thai vegetable rolls, thai vegetable salad and Mango tofu. Food presentation is beautiful...the Mango tofu was not candy sweet which I love and I appreciate...it was savory with fresh mango chunks.

This is my go to spot for Thai food in Ajax/pickering. The food has always been excellent, fresh, and tasty. Some of my favourites are the mango salad, pad Thai, and any of the curry dishes. Theres a ton of variety and the portion sizes are very reasonable.

Went in there in a hurry while my laundry was being done at the laundromat at Valley Farm laundromat.The food was most delicious and i also got my miller lite beer and crown royal whiskey whithin a few minutes.My friend who was assisting me that evening also got her rum in record time.The waitress in question was very busy handling 7 other dine in customers plus skip the dishes orders via uber.Highly recommended !

We just ordered Chicken Peanut Curry, Pad Thai, Coconut Rice, and Roti for take-out. We have loved Thai Orchid for years but whoever was in the kitchen today outdid themselves. Everything was beyond delicious!

This is the second time we ordered food, the man who took the order was very rude and was rushing my order over the phone. The food quality was so bad, we hardly, it went in the garbage. This is a real shame when you order for pickup they prepare the food so badly. I have eaten there and picked before, food was good. BUT NOW THE FOOD QUALITY IS BAD.JOSIE

Worst customer service & food - we ordered chilli chicken and Thai Vegetable green curry. Chilli chicken was rubbery and hard to chew. Thai green curry was awful too. This place charges extra for the rice (rice is cold and seems like it was made long before) !! Expensive food with low quality. Would NEVER order from this place again.

Always good food and reasonable prices

Takeout order included Cold Rolls, Chicken Pad Thai, Cashew Nut Chicken and Coconut Rice. Food was just average (not bad but nothing amazingly spectacular). If youre ordering for pickup, do yourself a favor and order by phone first or use an app ad those get priority over standing there in person. On the bright side, they accepted special requests for reviving certain ingredients and even offered to substitute for others.

Ordered take-out from here for the first time and food was pretty good! We ordered the mango salad, pad thai, chilli chicken, crispy beef, and thai shrimp roll. The pad thai and chilli chicken were average but I was pleasantly surprised by the mango salad, thai shrimp roll (very small pieces but oh so good) and the shining star of all the dishes, the crispy beef!! I recommend trying it if youre unsure of what to order. I will be ordering from here again. Looking forward to trying more appetizers and more of the authentic dishes.

Thai Orchid is located close to home, within walking distance. With so many choices of places to eat, its been a while since Ive been here. On this visit, I had the Chili Chicken, served with a spring roll and rice. It was a generous serving of chicken, and a decent sized spring roll, but I would have preferred a bit more rice to balance the meal. It tasted pretty good but with nearby Hakka restaurants serving similar dishes for a lower price, its not such a great deal. BTW, my favourite dish here is the Thai Spicy Noodles. I usually have it with beef or chicken. Delicious!

I wouldnt recommend this place. I was working in the area. I went to this restaurant soley based on google reviews. How this place is rated 4 stars is beyond me. The beef was really chewy and the chicken with noodles came out of the kitchen a weird pink color. Over all this is a lower end establishment. The restaurant used poor grade food to cook their meals. This is not a place for me...

My favorite Thai restaurant, I get take out once or sometimes twice a week here. They make a great gluten free pad thai, and I absolutely love their thai curries, especially the Curry Ayam malaysian curry... Yummy!! If you pay cash you get 10% discount :)

I wanted to revise my review from my last visit here. The last visit there was a long black hair in my water glass and it took over 10 mins to get the waitress attention when we did she kept apologizing and replaced the water... with the same glass.... Also the food wasnt as good as it had been in the past. I will have to find a new favourite Thai restaurant.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! I would give negative stars if possible. The service for take out was unprofessional , rude and slow. The food was horrible. The vegetable pad thai tasted as if ketchup was added for flavouring. The oodles of noodles came with a peanut sauce that was heated and watered down crunchy peanut butter.

We went here with the family and when we entered there was only one woman at the counter desk and she did not even have a smile on her face. We sat on the table and were given the menus but no one came to our table to ask if we want to drink anything or order. There was only one person at the counter who was taking the orders from the tables and I saw a lot of other customers sitting at the other tables with no food and waiting. They did not have enough servers to wait the tables. We left after 10 minutes sitting there at the table. Very bad customer service.

Ordered two basic dishes, the Thai chicken fried rice and the crispy beef. The order took at least 20 mins to make which is ok. When the waitress brought out the beef, all I could see in the plate were green peppers and a few pieces of beef! The presentation was awful. The dish actually had a lot more peppers than beef. Moreover, the beef was not cooked properly and was extremely rubbery and chewy, NOT crispy at all! The fried rice was ok, better than the beef but definitely not the kind of quality you would expect at a restaurant. It had huge chunks of nearly raw onion pieces which just spoiled the whole thing. I spoke to the waitress and explained the problem with the beef who was sweet enough to tell us we could return it and order something else. When she went back to talk to the chef/owner of the place, he berated her so badly and loudly that she started crying. After this I didnt want to order anything else there. Wish I had taken a pic of the horrible crispy beef. It was clear to me that the chef was not in a good mood and that reflected in the food.

I ordered the green curry lunch special which includes drink and spring roll for a great value. this place advertises to be authentic thai cuisine but after tasting the curry i realized this chinese owned and operated restaurant doesnt know how to cook thai dishes. the most famous thai dishes have many flavours in one. usually a balanced combination of sweet/spicy/savoury/salty. this restaurant does not know how to cook proper thai dishes

This restaurant could make a lot more money if it just cut back on the greasiness of the food and had better service. Like many other restaurants in pickering/ajax they just do enough but good is just a bit more effort away.

Went here for lunch today with my wife. She sometimes go there for lunch. We were able to preorder as she had to rush back for a meeting. The waitress was attentive and I had the best mango salad ever there. Sadly, I didnt take a pic.
