Bombay Choupati is a revelation! The food is exquisitely made by the hands of people who are actually invested in your food experience and care about quality. You can taste the difference! Our family even considers it one of the top Indian restaurants in all of Montreal.
This was my first time, and I'll definitely come back. The owner Jay was very nice, and even though he wasn't our waiter, he made sure to come see us and ask if everything was fine at our table. I loved the butter chicken. Highly recommend
We were the last one there may be that’s why, everything felt like sugar was added, even coconut chutney. I wish it were better. May be it’s the best in the locality, but very sub par when we had it.
The food was so good! Especially the kulfi 😍 i would recommend this place. Cheap but quality! Plus the owner is really nice!!
I feel like I've been lied to all my life. This is the very best Indian food I have ever had. It is so delicious I'm at a loss for words. Wow...congratulations to the owners !
Service is really really good! That definitely amplifies the dining experience! The bataka wada and chaat was delicious! Dosa was a bit greasy. Will be back to try other dishes.
The best Indian restaurant in the West Island ! The host and the staff are super nice and hospitable and want to ensure you have the best time. Their Madrasi dishes are amazing and our favorite are the incredible crispy doses! I love the coconut chutney :) We've come here many times and look forward to trying everything on the menu. A perfect venue to come with family and enjoy authentic Indian food.
Our first visit and will definitely not be our last! This 28 year old family business makes phenomenal tasting food!! We ordered Tandoori Naan, Baraka Vada, Basmati Rice, Aloo Gobi and Aloo Baigan. The gentleman said it would only take 10 minutes and he was right; on a Saturday night 5:30pm. Due to Covid-19 restaurant is take out only. We were happy to see that the small takeout containers were recyclable and none were styrofoam. Do not be deceived by the somewhat small appearing plastic containers; each plastic container measures 1.5 cups, which is an ample amount of food! The inside washroom was extremely clean. Parking is very plentiful in the plaza parking lot. They do not offer any delivery but Uber Eats and Skip the Dishes is available. All the food was absolutely fantastic!! The flavours kept us wanting more and more!! The eggplant in the Aloo Baigan was very very tasty. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and are willing to modify any dish to suit your needs. We will definitely be returning and recommend this Eatery!
If you want to feel like home, this is the place to be, very hospitable staff and owners, great homestyle food, amazing and tasty dosas and combo dishes.
We ordered pani puri and papdi chaat... it was very smelly. I told the guy there, but nobody wanted to listen..
Taste is not at all on the par of indian cooking. Dosa in specific is served with dal and sweet chutney. Mango lassi is mango water. Food
Customer service is great! Something that s missing in most restaurants nowadays. Food is insane. Butter chicken and lamb plates are a must. Will definitely come back
delicious food and excellent service.
The food is delicious the service great and people fantastic. Always great experience.
Fantastic food. Not greasy and well spiced. Service was great and friendly!
Still so good. We discovered this restaurant before the pandemic, in 2017. It hasnt changed much since. Good food and friendly staff.
Another great spot that serves authentic Indian food and the butter chicken is at another level of great! Ambiance is nice and quaint and service is very good
The only downside is that the furniture needs to be changed...
Great food and service
My husband and I are what you could call foodies and we are able to recognize tastes and the lack of. We have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years now and we never get tired of it. We like and eat foods from other areas of the world, but Bombay Chupati never fails. Hight quality ingredients prepared with care and with passion. No shortcuts. Lovely people cooking and serving too.
Tasty food and great service! Staff was super friendly.
We ate delicious food, amazing service. We are not from the neighborhood, but we will surely come back! Thanks Jay and to all your family.
It all started with an unsuccessful search for a dinner partner, facing the absence or unavailability of my usual contacts and culminating with a return as unexpected as it was discouraging who s that? » from a person whose bond of friendship I had dangerously overestimated. I came to a crossroads: go to a restaurant by myself or stay at home. I have lost the habit of sitting alone at a table and, although it has some obvious advantages (freedom of movement, ease of absorbing the environment, etc.), nothing beats the joy of being reunite with a loved one. If I still decide to go out, I choose as a destination an affordable place, less known and/or further from the centers where I usually gravitate. The Bombay Choupati seemed to lend itself perfectly to the game. What a pain, since, in reality, it would have been much better to go in a group...! I will tell you about my splendid stay. First of all, the appearance of the small shopping center has undergone a makeover, abandoning the old-fashioned red of the roof for the formalism of black. Likewise, the restaurants sign has been updated and now displays an orange palm tree which invites you to escape. The frail ash tree of yesteryear, razed to curb its infamous parasite, has grown back in the form of a bushy shrub. Already, a beautiful impression emerges before you even set foot inside. This is done. As I fold my umbrella and wonder where I could hang it, my nose is intoxicated with the scent of meat cooking emanating from the stoves. The decoration is the same as those in old photos on the internet: an entirely red background crossed with orange bands on which paintings depicting moments of Indian daily routine are hung. Turning my head to the right, I see what probably gave the idea for the restaurants emblem: a large fresco representing people on a beach bordered by a large urbanization and a long row of palm trees. Wishing to have a view of the restaurant, I was given a table near a window from which the blind was drawn (very good, now I can monitor the parking lot!). I look into the abundance of the menu and, in ignorance of what would please me the most, I patiently wait for someone to come and make suggestions while resting my eyes on the manager. He finally sent a friendly young man who did not hesitate to direct me and tell me his preferences. He was also convinced that I would only have enough stomach space for one plate... and he wasnt entirely wrong! The thali in this case are richly garnished. I still insisted on a starter and I was delighted, because the bombay bhel (crunchy noodles with potatoes, onions, etc.) was undoubtedly the revelation of the evening. Two well-disposed women, accompanied by their respective companions, with whom I exchanged a few cheerful observations about the food, were equally enthusiastic about their starters. The plate of madras thali, composed of a chicken curry, a vegetable curry, jeera rice and naan bread is a sure bet and brought back memories of good previous experiences. So its difficult to say if it was better than the others, but, after devouring the pistachio kufli (dense, creamy ice cream), I was convinced that, at the very least, it was very unlikely that it anything better is being done in the West Island. I would have liked to try other items on the menu, each of which seemed more tempting than the last, but, alas a stop sign was flashing in my stomach. If only there had been several of us! I would have considerably enriched my discovery. Plus, at this price, $35 before tip for a mango smoothie, a hearty starter, an even more hearty plate of thali and a small dessert, we wouldnt have been deprived. Vegetarian options: An entire section of the menu is devoted to vegetarian dishes Parking: Fairly large parking lot at the shopping center Kid-friendliness: Yes, it s a resolutely family restaurant Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, but no automatic door
food = YUMMY spice level = HOT owner = HELLA CHILL been coming here for years since i graduated high school. i thought i was a tough dude picking the medium spice level butter chicken only to be defeated by the spice level. i trained and tested myself to the point where i can now handle the medium level spice with little effort. if you think youre HIM, try eating the vindaloo i promise youre gonna explode. owner always makes fun of me but i appreciate the guy i love this place
Best Indian food in the west island. I love the spicy goat vindaloo, but my family prefers the butter chicken. You can specify the heat level for every dish. (I learned not to ask for max spicy for the vindaloo!). The family is friendly and welcoming. Wheelchair accessibility: As a ground level restaurant, you only have to deal with the double doors. There are tables with flexible seating. The indoor restaurant is not so full that a chair would be a problem.
Family owned, Jay ensures everything is just right. A jem.
Food is delicious. Service is friendly. Definitely my favorite Indian food in Montreal.
Small place, probably the best butter chicken in the province. Naan are to die food. and the food is just simply amazing. Familly run, super friendly and nice. highly recommend
Please Please don t believe any 5 or 4 stars Very bad experience This is first and last Very very disappointing My date night
Simply the best !
Amazing food and service
The BEST indian food outside india. the service was great the food even better! All for a great price. I cant recommend them enough
We had two chaats. Bombay bhel and Bombay papari chaat. Both were fridge cold and didnt taste good. Ingredients werent fresh. Then we had tandoori roti and baingan bharta. The only thing we liked is the tandoori roti. Big, hot and fresh. Barta had barely any baingan in it. It felt like generic tomato and onion sauteed with overcooked baingan pieces in it. Anywyas. We finished this disappointing experience with masala chai. Again this was good. So two stars. One for tandoori roti and the other star is for masala chai. We dont recommend this place.
Always closed they lie about their open hours.
Best food in the West Island.
Always love the food there...
I found this little jewel from an article in the Montreal Gazette... TWENTY FIVE YEARS AGO and Ive been going back ever since OUTSTANDING AUTHENTIC Indian Cuisine What makes this little jewel SO SPECIAL, is the LOVINGFAMILY that TRULY cares about EVERY ASPECT of their restaurant. From the moment when they GREET you, throughout your dining, right to the end of your (NO doubt) wonderful experience... One can expect nothing less than, EXCELLENT SERVICE. These lovely people VERY MUCH appreciate ones patronage, and it SHOWS (Now Im VERY hungry LOL!)
Authentic gujarati surati joint. nicely spiced and authentic flavours. Balanced spiced and great varieties. superb!
Probably my favorite Indian restaurant in Montreal by far. The staff are super kind and helpful, the food is amazing!! All the classics at the best quality.
Bombay Choupati is nothing less than delicious and so flavourful. We ordered the daal, the tandoori chicken, some rice, naan bread and of course the famous butter chicken. Everything was great and very tasty! Staff is kind and very welcoming. Always smiling and happy to see you Will definitely return and recommend to anyone in search of a great meal.
Got take out from Bombay Choupati for supper. It was an amazing meal. Had the lentil daal, butter chicken, tandori chicken, papadam, rice & naan. It was a delicious feast! I love that you can ask how spicy or mild you want your dishes. Great service as always. Thanks again, we will definitely come back!
I suggest everyone Not To Go There bad food without zero star butter chicken all burnt with no spices init just they add savour cream that it I m eating indian food since child hood Highly Recommend Not to GO THERE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Delicious food, taste like home made, they have gluten free dairy free options.
Great food, very friendly and prompt service. Jay is awesome as always!
Great food!
Best Indian food in the West Island of Montreal
Always good, friendly staff
Absolutely love this place. The people are friendly and the food is amazing. I cant wait to go back. See you soon!!
Excellent
Food is way expensive compared to quantity they serve. I was surprised when I saw the size of items they serve is too small the quantity for the price they charge . I am better off sticking too SHAHI PALACE, QUALITY or PUSHAP
Decent indian food. The chicken curry thali was nice. The presentation was not great, but the taste made up for it. It was a bit on the lower side of spice flavors. The vegetable curry was just potatoes, which was disappointing. Ordered an extra naan with it. The naan was good. The other dish is masala dosa. It was accompanied by sambar and coconut chutney. The potato filling was yummy. The sambar was good, and the chutney was a bit on the sweeter side. Didnt receive pickles, so I had to order some separately. The dosa itself was not great. I would give it a 5/10. Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie dishes on the menu Parking: Shared parking with other businesses in a strip mall setting.
Very bad service. Guy named jay is very rude and unprofessional. Does not know how to speak to customers
Very rude and disrespectful behaviour. Has very poor manners and the waiter named Jay is very impolite.
Very Bad Quality of Food. I ordered Masala Dosa on uber eats, it was Burnt. Very bad experience i suggest to go somewhere else rather wasting money in this restraunt.
We ordered Bhaingan Bharta and Palak Paneer. Both the curries were so bland, and the water was literally floating. Spinach wasnt cooked properly, and the bharta had no flavors at all. Wish I could undo my decision to come to this restaurant all the way from Ottawa. Naan was the only item that could be considered decent. Mango Lassi was def made with water. Overall, the food was a bluff to me. We left the restaurant without finishing the food. After having this horrible meal, I dont even feel like eating anything else.
Very friendly owners! Amazing goat vindaloo. This place was recommended to us by a friend, and we don t regret coming at all.
The food is simply delicious. The best goat curry Ive ever had anywhere.
Great food. Portions are great
There are many restaurants with good food, but not many with impeccable customer service! After an order mix-up a few weeks ago on Uber Eats, Jay kindly told us to call back next time we ordered to top up the order with the missing item. When we re-ordered, he not only added the item but more and was extremely kind and apologetic about the initial mix-up. Other restaurants should take note; good customer service is not only about being nice, but acknowledging or owning up to mistakes. Will definitely continue to support this restaurant. Thank you Jay! (Oh, and the food is amazing too :))
It is the best place to dine. People are like family there. I love this place .
Amazing food ! Jay you are the best !
Wonderful meal, impeccable atmosphere and super friendly staff. The butter chicken is a must!!
Excellent authentic meal prepared and served by friendly employees in a family atmosphere!
The best butter chicken Ive tasted! I ordered to eat at home... no atmosphere
The best butter chicken !!!! It s a nice family restaurant, the owner and his family are welcoming and the price are decent. It s my favorite Indian restaurant in Montreal
Im revising my review of this restaurant, Im now very disappointed in it. The food is good, however the portions for the butter chicken is now half of what it used to be. They both used to be in the same container size and now its half (see photos). Of course the price hasnt dropped, just the quantity. I dont know if Ill return seeing as they are now charging so much for so little. If you do return to your regular sizes, I may come back
Amazing experience, excellent food!
This little place serves the very best food from India. The restaurant at the time we went was too hot inside. The AC was not working properly so it was a little uncomfortable. But all around a superb place to eat on the West Island.
Ordered multiple times (more than 20 times) from this restaurant. In the past they were consistent in delivering good delicious food. Last Thursday the food I ordered and delivered using Uber made all my family sick. Quality was not as it always was.
Tasty Indian vegetarian food.Liked it.
I used to come here before I moved to Ontario and it is still the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to! Service is amazing and the staff are very friendly. I highly recommend and cant wait for my next visit!
Best Indian restaurant on the West Island! Food is excellent!
Home style Indian food! The GOAT Curry and Dosa was amazing!
Shrimp Vindaloo is nice creamy sause
Bruh this restaurant is amazing
Absolute perfection. We came on a super busy Friday night and received quick and friendly service! The food was just incredible and cooked with love. We will be back over and over again. Highly recommend the vindaloo and butter chicken!
Best indian food in Montreal
Best Indian restaurant in the city!!!
The food is delicious and the people are so kind!! I really love their butter chicken, pani puri and mango lassi <33! Really tasty food and lovely atmosphere <333
One of the best Indian food I have ever eaten. Generous portions, kind service, totally worth it!
Enjoy real Hindu food
Great food, great service, benches are a little uncomfortable but its worth it for the butter chicken.
Excellent service and great food!
Best Indian restaurant in the West Island.... possibly in Montreal. Affordable and delicious, large portions.
A great place to eat very home made food
Authentic Indian cuisine. Everything was excellent. Jay, our server was very friendly! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian and vegan choices.
The best!!
I had the Butter Chicken Combo and Masala Dosa. The chicken was dry and stringy but the sauce was deliciously rich and creamy. The naan bread and spinach were average. The Masala Dosa was okay but Ive had better elsewhere. Portions for both dishes were generous.
Their chats were really goooodddd.
The food is second to none. One dish more delicious than the other. The prices are very good too. Vegetarian options: Wide variety of dishes suitable for vegetarians.
Very friendly and warm welcoming! One of my favorite restaurants.
Top
Dont judge a book by its cover, go meet Jay for a once ina lifetime experience.
The beat Indian food in Montreal! IMO
The best Indian food weve had anywhere. Real homemade family cooking made to order from scratch. Friendly courteous staff with prompt service but you never feel rushed. Cant say enough good things about this restaurant. Vegetarian options: Good variety, and DELICIOUS.
This place is a gem. It is always busy and when you taste the food, you know why. The portions are generous, and everything is delicious. My husband is never going back to eating any other butter chicken, I enjoyed the Bataka Vada entré, we shared some goat-super tender and tasty- and my Vindaloo Chicken was awesome and spicy. Our friends loved their Tika Chicken and Tandoori...you see everything is delish! And a nice selection for vegetarians as well! Highly recommended... They dont take reservations, so you may have to come early or run the chance of having to wait in line. In the meantime, this has turned into my husbands favorite Indian Restaurant (he wont go to another one) and he usually orders the butter chicken, which is creamier here than anywhere else. Just go and eat there, you wont regret it Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian options, such as Mattar paneer, daal, palak paneer, a vegetarian combo, and more. Kid-friendliness: Highchairs are available and the place is not too fancy to bring kids Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp up to the sidewalk, no stairs, handicapped parking spot.
I took my daughter, granddaughter and grandson for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff are so friendly. It was the first time my grandson ate at an Indian restaurant and he was very impressed. We will definitely be going back after the holidays.
Amazing food and friendly service. The best Indian food in the province. Evey meal tastes like its home made.
One of the best indian restaurants in Montreal happens to be in this unassuming west island strip mall.
I know the butter chicken is a staple, but the goat meat is out of this world! Great staff, family owned, and good quality is excellent
First time ordering from Bombay Choupati!! What an expecience. Delicious! Will definitely go back! The butter chicken was sublime!!!!
Good service and good food
Nice n polite staff.
The best in the West Island
Best Indian food I have ever had 10/10 very nice staff to love it
Everytime i go there for there kulfi which have the best taste in whole Montreal
This is the place for real Indian food .the people are great and the food is amazing
Creamy butter chicken and fresh Naan. I love it so tasty, less tomato more cream. Ive had it many times its always so good. I order thru delivery services and done pick up. Had it again a couple of days ago.Always delicious. You can adjust the spiciness as you need. Soooo good.
Very tasty food and nice service.
Hmmmm excellent
Super family run restaurant hidden away. My only suggestion is that they go back to their older and more intimate decor. The red is pretty harsh.
Finally got to try their food and all I can say is wow. Everything was delicious but the lamb was outstanding.
Weve ordered takeout a few times from this place and its all really excellent. We will return there to eat there as well. THANKS !
As a Michelin chef, I can truly say that the butter chicken is something out of a French-Indian kitchen. If you don t know anything about Indian food, the naans have to be fermented naturally instead of yeast with all purpose only. They do them right here, probably only 5-10 restaurants in North America who can nail the naan. The butter chicken is rather a rosè sauce with Turmeric, usually restaurants add tomato purée and cream. The chicken was cooked in skewers first, then added. It s just simply unique to this restaurant. Honestly just try those two, and it will be worth your trip. The owner I had a nice chat, as how some French mother took me here when I missed home food for a university exchange and I finally found it again. He packed me some sauce to go. Excellent customer service, from the gentleman. Skip other Indian places.
The best Indian food in the whole city. The food is so fresh and not heavy like many other places. The flavors are sooooo good. Cant wait to go back
Best Indian food in Canada!
To be honest, this is THE place to have chaats. I tried Pani Puri, Sev Bataka Puri, butter chicken, tandoori roti, Gulab Jamun and Kulfi. Im pretty sure I will drive back again more than an hour for this place !! Keep up the good work!
It is one of our familys favourite restaurants. The street food style starters - Papri Chaat, Chole Chaat, Pani Puri etc. are out of this world. My kids love their Butter chicken. My wife and I truly love the vegetarian stuff - especially their Chana Masala, Baigan Bharta, Palak Paneer, and Daal. They try to keep the flavours as authentic as possible. Even though they are supremely busy, Jay and his team go the extra mile to serve their customers with warmth and generosity. We really cant wait to go back there again soon!
Fresh food. Very tasty. Recommend this restaurant. Staff is sweet and prices worth the food. Not expensive
Best Indian food in a long time. I don t like spicy food and they served me a meal exactly to my taste. It s 40 kms away from my house but worth the detour. I had butter chicken and my spouse chicken Tikka. Excellent service - get there early 5pm place fills up quickly. By the time we were leaving 12 people were waiting by the door . So we hurry up and finished our coffee and tea Mandala to clear our spot in order to give our place. We will return for sure when we have more business in the area.
Just picked-up, a couple of masala dosas. Absolutely delicious, authentic. Tha Saambar was perfectly spiced and very flavourful. The family run place is always very polite and always accommodate customer s requests. Thank guys. Highly recommended.
Portion sizes are a joke
Excellent quality food with great service and reasonable portions.
This place is like coming home. The owners and staff are warm and welcoming. The food is unbelievably delicious and we have loved everything weve ever ordered! I cannot recommend Bombay Choupati enough!
I have been buying food at the restaurant very often and the taste was good a typical indian flavour. But recently I would say that there was some changes that could easily be recognised. We bought some goat curry with naan bread and was bad. The naan bread was burnt to carbon and the goat meat was mostly fat and bones. One amongst the 3 orders had to be thrown away and the two others was eaten half only. Restaurant owner please double check quality as a customer we are paying asking price + tips but quality is not to the standard and instead of having meat we are eating fat n bone. Worst is when it is a take out order you discover the surprise when opening the packages and it is too late u r stuck with the order and the only thing we are told is that we will fix it next time!! Surely it give me no taste to come back again. Hope my comment will push you to improve and remember the the competition is also very dominant in this sector. Thanks,
Excellent value for money! The $18.95 Bombay Thali included a wide variety of curries, all delicious and served on a large platter. Additionally, the service was fast and efficient.
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this restaurant! I have been going there for a couple years now, and I frequent Indian restaurants in this city a lot! My only complaint is that it is not closer to my home! Butter chicken is the best Ive personally ever had... I always ask for it spicy. Everything I have tried has be excellent at Bombay Choupati. They catered my daughters bday party and that was perfect too (they prepped all the food, but I picked it up). Great place, great service, you cant go wrong.
My bro and I have come back to this place on our annual holiday as often as we can and it never disappoints!!! The flavours are fantastic and the service has always been top notch! Highly recommend!
Service: Average (they forgot me), -1 star Price: 2 thalis (little meat, potatoes and lots of rice) for $40, ouch, -1 star Speaks French: No, -1 star
We went to the restaurant for the first time. The atmosphere was good. We eat batata vada and had a masala chai. The tea was fine but the batata vada was not tasty and it was stuffed only with boiled potatoes and didnt look like it was mixed with spices. Also, we take out the tandoori chicken and taking it out was our worst decision. It seems that the chicken was only boiled and there was no seasoning. They put some kind of pink color on it and it doesnt seem to eat it. We feel there is lot of scope to improve food quality.
Amazing Indian appetizers I haven t had such delicious food in a long time
One should try this best indian food ever had in montreal and staff is too friendly and awsome Vegetarian options: Variety of vegetarian food with true Indian flavours
Absolutely exceptional service and food. Ive made and eaten a lot of butter chicken in my life and this one was simply the best. Address to remember!
The Vindaloo was good but they were shy on the spicy.
The food is not so great as per the rating mentioned in google. We ordered Papdi chat, Palak paneer, Tandoori naan, Tandoori roti and Mango Lassi. Except for Tandoori naan everything else was average. Palak paneer was the worst that I have ever had anywhere. Mango Lassi was watery. Not recommended.
Absolutely amazing food. I had the butter chicken as well as some masala chai to drink and it was absolutely amazing. The butter chicken was hands down some of the best food Ive ever had. The prices are great and portions are huge. Very impressed and will be back.
This is the second time I eat from this restaurant. Very delicious food and rich in flavor. The food is fresh and made with a lot of care. I tried many Indian food restaurants but this one is amazingly good and tasty. I would very recommend it.
Great Indian food and beer.
Delicious. Spicy to perfection. Generous portions and best service out there.
Best Indian restaurant in the West Island. So tasty ! Great service !
Great Family atmosphere,Beautiful people, and Excellent service!Namaste Thank you Vegetarian options: Look at the menu Parking: Spacious business parking lot Wheelchair accessibility: By the entrance?
Over rated for what it serves
We love it! Love the authentic, delicious Indian cuisine, Love the hospitality, Love the friendly ambience, and the reasonable prices. We so appreciate what the owner Jay has built, and he always makes us feel like family. We used to live in Pierrefonds and were regulars, but now live out of province, however, whenever possible, we always make the pilgrimage to Bombay Choupati restaurant.
Great place for amazing Indian food. We did a takeaway of their Thali the first time and had a dine-in. Very good experience. We went for Sev Bataka Puri, Plain Dosa, Masala Dosa and Bombay Thali. Everything great!! Just one thing they need to figure out to include - given the name of the restaurant has Bombay in it - is to have Pav Bhaji, Vada Pav, Misal Pav etc. The service was very good as well. The food came in reasonable time. No issues there. Plenty of parking outside since its a shared parking lot with the plaza. Good seating space inside the restaurant. Definitely recommended!! Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options available Dietary restrictions: Vegan options available Parking: Shared parking lot with the plaza
Amazing food and friendly service.
I had the best butter chicken Ive ever tasted.
Been eating Indian food for over 15 years. Sorry for 2 stars but it s really average for the taste, given all the high ratings. Factor in the price, I d give 2 stars. Also very small portions. Definitely not 5 star unless you never stepped outside of Roxboro to eat Indian food. Lots of good places in Jean Talon and downtown.
Butter chicken I ordered does not taste like butter chicken. It should be a little bit sweet, but it really isn t. It also tastes like they forgot to add some tomatoes.
great food. enjoy!
Bombay Choupati has been around a long time, and with good reason. Great service, amazing food. The only place in the West Island making dosa, which you must try.
It worst food I ever had in my life. It was not even warm , taste less and dal was stinking. When I reported this issue to owner he was rude and line was I sold same food to many it s ur issue and was not ready to take any action to improve the experience.
Western India type of food, don t recommend it for punjabis as all the dishes taste hella weird. Raita portion was ridiculous. Not a good experience
This place offers the typical dishes of every Indian restaurant, however, do not expect the entrees to have an authentic Punjabi taste! Lamb curry was filled with bones. There was a spice level difference among all dishes ordered, despite ordering all medium hot.
Super amazing dosa and tea!
Love the food here. The butter chicken is just too good!
Super great authentic freshly served Indian food with friendly service!
Saw the ratings and planned a visit but was a big disappointment. Maybe it s bland for Indian palate or just not prepared the way we are used to . The tandoori chkn was pink like a blushed bride coz of the colour and butter chicken was more like dahi turmeric gravy with skewered chicken pcs. Roti was the only thing enjoyable .
Absolutely delicious. Fantastic service!
I bought masala dosa and it s worst i had ever this kind of
Everything was perfect.i will definitely visit frequently Vegetarian options: Very good Food : 5/5 |
Highly recommended... The first time my family visited this restaurant, our visit was just ok. But with the passage of time we have come to realize how wonderful, kind and patient the staff is, how awesome the food is, and how lucky we are to have this outstanding and beloved restaurant on the west island. It is a treasure.
Found the food to be inedible. The mild curry was so hot we dumped it. Way over priced. I dont think we ate more than 2 bites of the whole meal. Very disappointing after reading the other reviews.
good food test experience. It was good ambience, good service, test of food was good too
Excellent food, fresh ingredients and very generous portions. Great service. Will come back!
So good! Note that it is now take out only
Best Indian restaurant in the West-Island. Food is always prepared fresh and tastes amazing. Like eating a home cooked meal!
This place has decent food. I really enjoy their matar paneer, goat vindaloo and naan. I do find their portions too small, which could be due to either a Punjabi in me or a Gujarati in them.
Butter chicken so super watery. Disappointed.
Great food !
Wonderfully delicious
Nasty $40 for two curry and it s was worst experience. Please go do something else.
Loving the friendly staff.
