I recently stopped by The Coffee Pit and had a wonderful experience! We ordered the ham and cheese croissant and the salted caramel brownie, both of which were delicious. We also enjoyed a couple of coffees that were equally great. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax. As a bonus, we were happy to support a small family-run business rather than a big multinational like Starbucks. A special shoutout to the girl who served us—she was incredibly friendly and made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place!
Cafe has a cozy ambiance and relaxed atmosphere. Great addition to the neighborhood. Service is prompt in a timely manner. Good selection of baked goods!While the cinnamon bun is not overly sweet, it is a little bit dense and dry. The beef brisket sandwich on a brioche bun is served warm and flavorful, but way too saucy and the amount of beef brisket slices is insufficient to match its price point. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience. Free parking is available, few at the front and ample parking at rear.
Very cute, clean and welcoming staff. Decent selection although I wish they had a vegetarian breakfast option. I got the chocolate chip muffin, the lemon bar and the almond croissant all of which I loved and I'm very picky. I got a decaf iced oat milk latte with caramel and it is delicious. My order was taken pleasantly, arrived promptly and was happy with prices. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area.
Went to the Coffee Pitt today with some friends and our kiddos and thoroughly enjoyed my experience! The staff was super friendly and their service was quick! Not sure if the coffee/espresso they use is the same as when it was Caffe Delish but today my drink (which was originally called the Boss Babe and but a new name now) tasted fantastic and I think I enjoyed it even more than I have in the past! I was also wonderfully surprised by the food I tried today too—I got a Beef Brisket Brioche sandwich and it was probably the best brisket sandwich I’ve ever had. The meat was super moist, tasty but not overly salty, the coleslaw was fresh and delicious and lastly there was even the perfect amount of pickles! The bun was perfect soft, chewy and not at all too dense! I was beyond satisfied and the meal didn’t feel overly heavy either! My 4yo son has a blueberry scone which he loved as it was super moist and not overly sweet! Definitely going back (lots) and trying something new off the menu every time! (Not the best picture as I took it after I cut my sandwich up but man it was heavenly!)

We visited The Coffee Pitt on opening day! I had a Sweet Cream Cold Brew and my partner had an Iced Carmel Macchiato! We also ordered two cinnamon buns. Everything was delicious! We originally ordered to go but decided to sit and enjoy our coffee at one of the many tables. Beautiful coffee shop! Front & rear parking and entrances make it very easy to stop for coffee :)!
Relaxed, comfy atmosphere. I had a tasty brisket deli sandwich and a latte and was very impressed. Staff were friendly and quick. It was a nice place to hang out and chat over lunch and I noticed that they had a corner with kids toys which I thought was a great idea

I ve tried this place a handful of times both when it was Cafe Delish and now The Coffee Pitt and each time I am disappointed. Today I got the Salted Caramel Latte & was shocked at how salty it was, I couldn t finish it and am now drinking lots of water. Also a $1 up charge for almond milk is kind of insane. I would stick to Starbucks, especially if you need other milk as they now give that for free.

Got The Chief and a London Fog. The Chief was great, the London Fog could be creamier, but we are also London Fog snobs. Got a salted caramel brownie as well, which was everything one would expect in a brownie. Will be back, and hopefully the owner has the opportunity to climb down from the cross hes been nailed to by the anti-gluten crowd in the reviews.

Their coffee is alright, nothing too crazy. The salted caramel latte was weird with the salty stuff on top, really just a caramel latte with salt at the end. I found it a bit silly that theyre charging extra for vanilla or sweetner in a london fog... must not know what a real london fog is. This is the only place that has ever asked me if I want sweetener in a london fog and to charge extra for a pump of syrup that really doesnt cost that much is a rip off. The breakfast sandwiches are nice but quite small. The sausage was still cold inside though. Weve tried this new spot 3 times now and its just alright. Location is convenient and we enjoy supporting local but need to improve on some things.
Super friendly staff
Decided to try this place after hearing so much about the cinnamon buns and brisket sandwich. Yes. It lived up to the hype. Delicious! Cute atmosphere, quite spacious enough to accommodate strollers as well. Included vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Ive never ever had a good experience here when it comes to customer service. As someone who worked in the customer service industry I really struggle understanding how the people who work here (that Ive interacted with), are ok with being so rude to their customers. Its too bad because its convenient for me to come here and I dont want to spend my money at starbucks... but every experience Ive had here has left a really bad taste in my mouth.

My absolute fave place to work and write. The atmosphere is perfect, excellent daylight lots of seating that is spaced out and not overly cramped, a ton of outlets for people who are working on laptops for long periods of time, like myself. Staff are friendly and sweet, food and drinks are good, and the atmosphere is cozy cute and casual, not overly pretentious. Love this place so much. Parking: There arent that many spots, but there are options at the front and back of the shop, plus an extended lot thats a few more steps away if its really busy. Kid-friendliness: A small kid play area in the corner. Wheelchair accessibility: very accessible.
Amazing customer service, nice little nook in the neighbourhood, great treats and delicious drinks. If youre reading this, you should go check it out! Oh and the name is pretty clever too. Stop going to Starbucks and encourage this place instead
I had the beef brisket sandwich. It was absolutely delicious. Perfect blending of sauce, veggies, and meat. Kudos to the chef.
What an awful thing to take over a safe haven for celiacs and make it so unsafe and not gluten free anymore. I am guessing there will be a LOT of people who stop going and boycott due to this because they have to because they risk their HEALTH when there s a risk of cross contamination. I would have expected better. Dietary restrictions: No longer any good for celiacs, no safe gluten free options for now.
This is a lovely little cafe. Ive always had positive experiences with the staff that have carried over from the last franchise. Their gluten-free predecessors pulled out their stake in this location, the workers here have no choice what they serve. Give it a try!

This place is fantastic and such a great alternative to the big chains like Starbucks. I love that they offer gluten free and regular goodies ! Its up to the customer to make sure what they are eating is safe anywhere. Hope this place thrives !

Great Spot, delicious food and coffee
My partner and I had the great pleasure of visiting The Coffee Pitt (formerly Cafe Delish) on opening day and were immediately greeted by the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. The coffee was great and the cinnamon buns were delicious. We will definitely be returning!
Stopped by this morning, had an amazing breakfast bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. Also, got a latte and cold brew to go with it. Looking forward to trying some of the other delicious baked goods available in the future.

Incredible owners! There was some talk about this cafe being gluten free and switching to regular food. The posts I ve seen online explain that the business was not succeeding as a gluten free cafe and this choice was hard for the owners. For everyone who is not gluten intolerant, this is an incredible cafe to enjoy a coffee break at. Try them out you will not be disappointed!

Meh a lot of hype for nothing. Gluten free smooten free. Not great. I d rather eat a tire then the brisket sandwich. Coffee was burnt. I d rather eat gluten free garbage (not gluten free by the way ick). Spend your money else where.

Lovely coffee shop. I was there under the old name and now again since reopening as The Coffee Pit. The service and food are still great under the name. I am not gluten free or celiac so this change in menu doesn t affect me. But the atmosphere and commitment to quality is still there! Don t believe the haters!! Those reviewers are probably just trolls anyway not really gluten free! Check out this coffee shop!

This is a great (and cute!) coffee shop. Perfect for dates, meetings, working and having a snack. I also love the free parking and that there s actually plenty of it!
Love that we have local options in Pitt! Had a lovely and well balanced (not too sweet) London Fog and a delicious blueberry scone with yummy glaze. Kids were busy and happy playing in the kid zone, love it!
This place is just as adorable as the last! Just as good too! Too bad about the old place and the change but still a great little place for a get together, my 3 year old still loves it and they have lots of yummy snacks & coffee still available!
I came in two days after the opening and Im glad I did! I ordered a caramel macchiato and it was better than any other big name coffee house. I would recommend going and giving it a try. Gotta love supporting local business.

The best cold latte I have had in a very long time. Tired of supporting the big chains, we tried out the Coffee Pit, and it was delicious. The breakfast bagel (eggs, real cheddar, bacon, fresh bagel) was delicious! I will definitely be coming back to support this coffee shop. To all the negative key board warriors about the change in Gluten Free - just stop!! You have the special diet - they do not need to cater to you and they most certainly do not deserve to have their new business ripped apart due to your self righteous, entitled negative crap!

Im not sure why people are hating so bad on this switch. It s a small business in a relatively small city. How long does one expect them to bleed money they likely don t have just so a handful of people can eat a gluten free muffin? Make your own muffin. Love this place. Will be back again and again.

The food is spectacular ! Just had the Turkey chipotle sandwich and it is fabulous. Coffee is delicious too. Can t wait to try something else on the menu .
We got coffees to go on opening day, good clean shop, my partner gets a London fog but with English breakfast instead of earl grey and they had no problems subbing it out (some places don t do it) drinks were nice and HOT! Love the name and the logo, we were even complemented on our to go cups while we were out (the sleeves have the logo and a nice colour) We will be back! Parking: There is more parking around back in case you need!
Stopped in for an early weekend morning cinnamon bun and a coffee. Cinnamon bun was delicious and the barista was kind enough to make up a pumpkin chai drink for me even though it wasn t a menu item. All the staff was friendly and fantastic.
Absolutely AMAZING. I had their Apple Caramel Butter Latte and their Chipotle chicken sandwich. The sandwich was juicy and honestly left me wanting more!! Absolutely amazing and highly recommend
Stopped by on my way to work as we now live near by. Found out that this is reopened by one of the former owner and thank god it s not gluten s free! Wasn t that good before. Great coffee and baked goods, more lively earthy vibes. Love it, good job!!!
As of October 4th 2024, this cafe is no longer gluten-free dedicated. Disappointed as this was a nice cafe for celiacs like me :( Now all they have are 1-2 GF things. Won t be back now.
